Henge of Denravi

Completed it twice on my Sylvari Mesmer. The first completion and achievement took me a solid 4 hours. Got seriously hung up on the leap of faith for a long while. And I’ll never forget that heartbreaking run where I got all the way to the top and seriously screwed up my timing for jump into the clocktower! Such bliss and a sense of accomplishment when I finally made it to the top!
Did a second run (which took me another hour) to not only see if I could do it again, but also because I completely forgot to grab a screenie during my first completion.
Oh, and spotted one of the ArenaNet staff during my second attempt at the puzzle…
EDIT: Okay, I’m totally addicted and can’t stop doing this puzzle. Get better every time and and making it to the top more and more. I’ve lost count of how many time I’ve made it to the top now.

Eeeh, yeah, very first door I came across was right outside LA and I did it for a few minutes expecting the event to end and it to close or something. =/ Please be gentle with that banhammer.
^^ This was the first door I was able to fight at and thought it was working as intended. I was at that door spawn quite awhile and didn’t realize it was a bug until I stumbled upon this post. Didn’t really score much loot out of it. The mob at the door was huge and I’m running on a memser…just couldn’t get nearly enough burst damage in to qualify for much. :p
Awesome guide! Sadly, I suspect this scavenger hunt is bugged on Sorrow’s Furnace. Some folks on our server were able to do it right after the patch. But now nobody can get Serene to reveal herself.
Edit to above, it appears the Serene bug may have something to do with the overflow servers. I was stuck on the overflows for quite a long time and nobody was able to get her to spawn. There was a theory floating around that if people were standing on her spawn point, she wouldn’t spawn. But I tried on a nearly empty overflow with nobody in the area and she still didn’t spawn. But when I was able to get onto non-overflow, we were able to get her to spawn without problem.

Im a little annoyed that all these people who didnt get the game on release or were too lazy to level up are expecting to have all these items handed to them at level 1.
What is wrong with Anet rewarding high level players with content when they have worked hard and supported the game from the beginning.
Iv supported this game from the beginning, I bought the art of guild wars 2 book when it was released YEARS ago.
I prepurchased the game and have have 2 lvl 80 characters and a lvl 65.
I dont think its wrong for people like me to benifit from these events more than others because we have worked harder and prepared.
I dont think its wrong for me to want to be rewarded for my support and hard work over people who just bought the game a week ago and now want all this high end content for free.
I bought over 2000 gems for this event with gold that I earned through legitimate means. Let me benifit form that please.
You HAVE been rewarded for getting in the game early and are benefiting from your hard work. You were able to buy 2,000 gems with in-game gold because you got in the game early and have been playing hardcore. You’ll be able to use those gems for any unique Halloween-specific items that appear in the gem store as well as for keys to unlock BLTC chests for unique skins. Someone who has been in the game for a week would not have such an advantage and would have to pay IRL moneiz to get those gems. And let’s not forget all those other rewards that you have access to due to your level/gametime (access to more content like the new mini-dungeon, dungeon tokens, world completion, exotic gear, greater progression towards legendaries, etc, etc).
Also, it’s pretty unfair to call those who don’t have a ton of level 80s “lazy.” Everyone has varying time constraints that may prevent them from playing as much as you. For example, I’ve been here since pre-launch, but work full-time. Playing most of my non-work waking hours, I’ve been able to score a level 80 (who just achieved 100% world completion), a level 27 and 4 level 1s who are still sitting in the tutorial. I’d hardly call my commitment to this game “lazy” or less than a hardcore player’s! And I’d like to experience the Halloween content on ALL my characters…not just my level 80!
Remember, this a casual-friendly game. One-time events like the Halloween event should be open to ALL players. Not just those who have been here since launch or who have more time to dump into the game than others. Nobody should be locked out of one-time events due to their level or time commitment. I’m glad ArenaNet agrees.

Wonderful to hear! It’s a relief to know that future Mesmers will not have to deal with this particular bug. Thank you Jeffrey! :-D
Meh, I’m not terribly concerned about the Borlis Pass spies… :p
Also, this kind of stuff will become less common once free server transfers go away.
I was able to use the CattlePult to get the vista, despite the NPC being disabled. Try clicking on the CattlePult so you have it selected, then hit “F” to inspect. You should get a pop-up screen that tells you about the CattlePult. That pop-up tells you about a warning, select the option that your’e going to ignore the warning and climb right on in. If the CattlePult isn’t selectable, try waiting a bit until the NPCs are done with launching cows.
Oh, something positive? Hmmm, so many great things to choose from! I think I’ll post about last Friday’s rollback. Wait, wait! Before y’all grab the torches and pitchforks, I promise this is a positive story!
So Friday night, I had just completed a personal story quest and exited my mission into Malchor’s Leap. I had just a sliver of XP left to bring my main to level 80 after I was done with my mission. So my boyfriend and I took down two or three Risen to bring me up to Level 80. Ding! Level 80! Snagged my “Level Up!” screenshot to commemorate the moment.
Once I was done with my “my first character hit level 80” happy dance, I tried to zone to Lion’s Arch to take care of some housekeeping items. Got suck in the load screen and subsequently was booted from the game. Tried logging in a couple more times, noticed ArenaNet’s tweet about the log-in server issues and decide to take a much needed break.
When the servers were back up and I was able to log back in, I found that I had been rolled back ever so slightly to when I zoned from completed my personal story mission to Malchor’s Leap. So it counted my mission completion, but it didn’t count the two or three kills that I had completed to bring myself to level 80 and I was level 79 once again. So I grabbed two or three more baddies, leveled up to 80 again and grabbed another “my first level 80 just hit 80” screenie (an even better one this time!).
So thanks those log-in server issues, I got to experience hitting level 80 for the first time TWICE on on my main! It was such a totally awesome and memorable way to hit 80! This is probably the one and only time you’ll hear me say this…thanks ArenaNet for the glitch!
I’m a guild leader and have encountered this numerous times with our guild. There’s a bug with the upgrades in your guild queue actually showing up. Rest assured that the upgrades are still in your queue and being built (and your influence is NOT lost!), they’re just not visible.
I suspect it has something to do with the guild represent bugs. There are times when I’m representing my guild, my main character “detaches” herself from the guild and isn’t representing anymore (yet my alts have no issues). Most indicators show as representing…I show as online and representing my guild and I can even view guild chat. But whenever I try to access make changes to the guild (view the upgrade queue, add new upgrades to the queue, change the MOTD) or access our guild vault, the system doesn’t recognize me as representing. I usually have to tinker around with relogging, switching characters, switching out of overflow maps and/or traveling to sPvP or WvW (toggling my represent guild button with each) to get it all working again. Whenever I notice I can’t view my guild’s upgrade queue, that’s an indication to me the nasty, evil represent bug has hit me again.
Ran into an interesting bug while running the “Mightier than the Sword” personal storyline mission on my Mesmer today. Using Moa Morph on Steag Frostbeard causes Steag to drop the Sanguinary Blade prematurely in the middle of combat. When the sword drops from Steag as a result of the Moa Morph, it does not have the green mission progression star above it and nothing happens when the player picks up the sword (no cutscene…the mission does not move forward and you’re just stuck).
The only way I was able to progress forward in my personal story was to exit the mission, do it over again and run the final combat without using Moa Morph.
