Stop setting participation to 0% on map close
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

I’m not sure if it’s related but this happens a lot in the guild hall too. The majority of us waiting in the same overflow to do guild missions then map closing warning flashes. We all go to the next overflow and 5 minutes later it says the map is closing, again. This shouldn’t be the case if the majority of the players are in the same overflow.
Also maps closing and sending you to another overflow without a warning is unacceptable. This happened to me once in Dragon’s stand, right before the Mouth. The new overflow had no active events so everybody wasted their time trying to get to the Mouth.
EDIT: Spelling.
I too am wondering why Scribing is a crafting profession since obviously one person cannot possibly muster all those materials on their own. It absolutely requires the efforts of the entire guild which brings in another problem: Do people even want to donate materials? What if the Scribe leaves the guild or stops playing for a long time?
It shouldn’t be a crafting profession, more like a guild feature that enables anyone in the guild to do the crafting if they would need to. The progress would then be saved for the guild, not for one person who might or might not be playing the game next year.
Most of my ascended gear pre-HoT was from doing fractals/pvp/achievements as well as from Teq and 3-headed wurm. Some were crafted. I had several asc sets but alas, I recently salvaged most for the fractal reliquary.
As far as I know, these new meta events have a chance to drop valuable exotics at tier 4 maps with 200% participation from chests and champion bags. You get loot from all the little chests and all you have to do is buy some keys (at least in AB and TD). Then there’s achievements of course, and experience for your masteries. I prefer the new zones over SW and DT but I can see why some people don’t.
Simplest raid fix ever for thieves:
Add a unique stolen item to the bosses that grants some kinda raid wide buff.
It’s not even that hard arenanet. The stolen item system is almost tailor made to give thieves different tools in different encounters.
This is a great idea! I support this.
This is pretty much what I’ve been thinking since they announced raids. What can the thief do that another class cannot do better? Unless stealth is sorely needed in one or more encounters (doubtful), any other profession can replace a thief and do a better job. I’m not regretting I changed my main from thief to rev.

Will it fix all the gameplay bugs that are complained vastly by the players or it will just only contain raid content?
After enjoying Guild Missions in the last few weeks.
My best guess is, it will mostly contain raid content, include a few bug fixes and introduce a lot of new bugs.
So optimistic^^ But yeah, the guild missions have been… Interesting. A whole new level of challenging content when trying to debug the missions to get rewards.
I can’t stand the sound effects of the Dreamer either (or the visual effects for that matter but I can live with that). Imo only the owner of said bow should be able to hear the sound effects.
Now I can’t tell other people to stop using their legendary just because it annoys me but it is a real problem when I can’t be near a person with the bow just because of the sounds. And I don’t want to turn off all the sound effects just because of one pony bow. Imagine doing a raid for several hours with somebody who uses the bow. The horror.
If they do this then they must do the Molten jetpack skin too. It’s an expensive skin that no longer drops so it would only be fitting to add one more function for it. Right?
How are so many people already done with their masteries and all the elite specs? I play everyday and I’m still not fully done with either. Of course I hop into an occasional fractals but still, I’ve played HoT plenty and I’m nowhere near done with it or tired of it.
There should be more dialogue and less of them screaming/grunting. As it is, I like Shiro/Mallyx. Dwarf and Glint are often too loud, at least to me. I cringe everytime I swap to Glint, expecting her to scream in my ear. No clue about Ventari yet.
I’d like to add one more thing to the list: Legends while underwater. Now I don’t know if this is a bug perse but it seems the legends you have on land carry on to underwater. We can only use Shiro and Mallyx underwater.
This in itself is not exactly a problem because the legends can be swapped underwater too but it’s strange that I have Glint underwater with no utility skills available and yet if I had passive facets on while on land they carry on being active underwater too.
Most of these changes would have been good if all the other professions were treated in the same manner and balanced properly. I shudder imagining a heavy armor class can out dps somebody who dies from two hits.
I’d start balancing with splitting pve and pvp skills/traits but as far as I know Anet has no plans to do that.
So good news, during Dragon’s Stand meta, the game did not crash on me until after I was able to loot the boss chest. Bad news, even though I was grouped, when I reloaded the game I could not get back into the old map. The map I was on did not have access to the topmost area of the map where the boss chest was, and all my team members were blacked out. Trying to join in on them didn’t even cause a “map full” error, it was giving me some kind of “check your Internet” error.
Still, LAME experience, and we need more word that you guys are actually working to resolve this.
I believe it is intended that players cannot join a map that has completed the meta (maybe to prevent people from selling spots for noxious pods and hp’s etc).
Dragon’s stand map just kicked everybody out right before entering the last event to kill the Mouth.
EDIT: The timer still had some 25mins left on it

I am clueless as to why the weakest elite spec Druid is the nerf-target & whipping boy of A-Net. I never cared for nerfs in MMORPGs and always preferred that other classes be raised up to par with the strongest professions as much as balance is possible.
In addition, in PvE events (like Mad King’s Labyrinth) in which killing = experience, loot, & rewards, Druids get NOTHING for playing a support role for their zerging team. As of now, there really is no incentive to focus on playing a Druid and further nerfs will make it a dreary, obsolete experience. Did I mention the fun of almost unattainable pets? Tiger, Electric Wyvern?
I think Druid will still be needed for raids as a healer and it’s pretty strong in pvp too or so I hear (could be why they’re nerfing it). I think the word “unkillable” was thrown around a lot.
As for these pve nerfs… I had no idea they even removed the poison from hero points until reading this thread. As for other nerfs that might yet come, I think you should all just calm down and give it time. They’re still figuring things out and they have a lot of work to do to balance things. I too hope they don’t make everything easy and fast to obtain but I have faith they’ll get it right eventually.
Maybe a requirement of 100% map completion to be able to enable mentor tag on this map?
If you didn’t completed Kessex, no mentoring in Kessex.
If you completed Metrica, you can mentoring in Metrica.
I think this is a great idea. I support this.
I think this particular event has been bugged numerous times in the past too.
That sounds very weird. I wonder if it’s related to my audio problem? I sometimes keep hearing people talk (the skill use/boon gain-shouts) even when there’s absolutely no one around and it certainly isn’t my character because the genders and races vary.
im just curious.
Is rev a buff bot? dps?
since HoT came out all ive been doing is HoT maps I havent touched fractals yet. After playing a good amount with all the elite specs, I simply cannot see where Reaper/Herald fit in a team. Mind you, those are 2/3 of my favorite elite specs so far, I just dont know what they bring to a team really. I was thinking Herald would replace warrior, but Berserker elite spec just does way too much damage.
- rev is very high in the rank of dps
- on paper it should be also a good healer but the community hasn’t fully figured ventari yet i guess (and it needs some tweaking imho),
- with glint and jalis we have great support/off-support
as you can see we can almost fill every role, maybe not the best in each, but quoting DnT’s Nike “Rev is one of those classes you’ll be always glad to have nearby”
Ventari has been figured fully before BWE3 :P. BWE3 only made it better.
Yeah as i said on paper looks good, maybe it’s me but it feels really less responsive than any other legend. As you said in another thread rev is all about opportunity skills and cost. Ventari is not very opportunistic since the tablet can’t be played in a reactive way. You have to summo it, and the movement is bound to CD and cast time.
That is why I think the tablet is clunky. You need it for the slot skills but you have to keep moving it constantly and before you can heal you have to have the tablet out.
Necro was out of meta more than 1 year so stop complaining.
Being out of the meta doesn’t mean it isn’t viable. Meanwhile my power necro performed better than my thief that was supposed to be a part of the meta.
Mallyx deals with your parties’ condiciona and the enemy’s Boone while doing nice damage.
I have to comment here. So I’ve been playing revenant since friday and I’ve taken it to Mad king’s labyrinth numerous times now. That lich boss that everyone is so afraid of? Mallyx makes a short work of it, boon stripping whenever it’s needed, assisting with condis to a great extent and all in all just destroying the boss. That boon strip though, best in game imo since it’s pretty much spammable.
It’s been like that for me for a year now and I’ve got a good pc and a fast connection. Sometimes the delay is there, sometimes it isn’t.
warrior was balanced, but then everyone else shot past the balance point.
now, everyone else is balanced, warrior is under powered.
This is an interesting statement. I always thought thief is the only balanced class as of July patch and everything else shot way past the balance point. I have to try warrior/berserker in pvp now it seems.
Thieves are not meant to fight 1vs1 fights against enemies with full health bars.
- thief can no longer 1v1 many builds due to being left out of the power creep
- all thief can do is out run them
- “g-guys this is what thief w-was meant to do!…”
pathetic reasoning on your part as well as every other person that makes this argument.
This. It’s been like this for months now and there is just no excuse for the state of thief.
A lot of my guildies have been doing this. I don’t mind if they grind their way through the tyrian masteries in a couple of days, it’s not like they’re making a profit out of it. It would be quite different if they could farm HoT masteries in CoF but as it is, they can’t.
To me farming anything aside from a couple of ToT bags in the labyrinth sounds mindnumbingly boring but hey, each to their own as long as it’s not an exploit or preventing other players from progressing events etc.
Why Stronghold should be the first thing you can play is beyond me. It’s far more confusing and more difficult to get a hang of than Conquest or Courtyard.
Well…. You still need that commander tag for raids so I’d say that makes it more valuable than the mentor badge. I regret not buying a commander tag when they were just 100g.
What about those that aren’t lazy, like challenge and opportunity to use skill, welcome group content, and happily paid for the expansion they were excited to play, but simply hate grinding the same events over and over for barely any experience?
Why not just bump up the experience and let us progress instead of having us grind way more than should be necessary? We’re not gaining anything from repetitive grinding. I rather put that time into grinding for legendary mats.
Why are you doing the same events? Explore and do other events. There are four new maps with new content and each map has different levels with different content in them. Try the story, try to find new locations on the maps. Don’t rush it.
You should also change the mastery lines every now and then to unlock things that will gain you access to new locations.
My thoughts exactly. The xpac is worth my money as I’ve had a great time just exploring and doing the story. I think it all comes down to your attitude towards the new stuff. The people who are in a rush to complete everything fast will not be satisfied. But would they be satisfied if they could complete everything in 2 weeks? No, they would then complain that the xpac is too easy and too short.
The only thing that they could improve imo is making all the hero challenges soloable (but not too easy ofc), because many players like to play alone. Personally, I get more enjoyment out of new stuff by playing it with others.
I don’t understand. I have been “just” exploring and getting masteries unlocked while I was doing it. I’ve been doing the story, event chains, getting some masteries and some hero points. I’ve explored on the first three maps alone and haven’t even touched the last map yet and every minute of it has been an absolute blast.
Sure I’ve only barely dented my elite spec line but that’s because I went in on a revenant and ofc don’t have world completion. My bf who has been playing with me since friday was on his ranger and he’s now close to completing his elite spec. We spent at least an hour (usually more) every day doing Mad king’s labyrinth and other stuff in the original maps.
The only thing I agree with in the original post is that the hero challenges should be balanced around one person doing them because there are alot of people who play alone. But there’s nothing grindy about having to play the game and do different things to earn stuff. I think the “grind” only exists in one’s mind when in a hurry to complete everything.
Making a Legendary weapon in HoT is like making GWAMM title in Guild Wars 1.
You need to do a lot of things to get your goal. It was hard working to get GWAMM and it should be hard work to get Legendary weapon too.
Except GWAMM title took way more time to complete. I did it in a course of two-three years of focusing solely (or mostly) on that, I believe. I played almost every day for at least two or so hours, more over the weekends. I don’t think legendary weapons come even close to the amount of work put into that one title in GW1. Or getting a full HoM. But I agree with your point nonetheless; legendaries should require some work put into them instead of just gold.
Nobody is forcing you to craft more legendaries. Just saying. It could be called a grind if you couldn’t progress content-wise without one.
I think moving from having to buy the precursor for your legendary to crafting the precursor via collections that require you to do stuff is a step forward. That way the legendary is earned instead of bought with a credit card as I’m sure some people have done. That gives way more satisfaction in the end than something earned in a matter of minutes.
Masteries didn’t really seem that hard to get to me? Though I’m sure some of them are harder but that’s only a good thing in my books. The experience bar requirement is there to stop people from getting all the masteries in a week or so. Why is that bad? It would be a flop if everything in the xpac could be completed in a week with nothing left to do.
And aren’t they going to replace some transmutation shards with shards of glory in the reward tracks? I don’t think it can be called a grind. If you play pvp you will always have an active reward track anyway. And now you have the bottles too from daily.
Not everything can be given to us free and fast. Have some patience
I have simple solution for most of points. Remove hot join…
God please no. I like to play my ranked matches with people who actually care about winning/losing.
I’ve been wondering about thief’s role in raids myself lately. WP mentioned that blinds weren’t quite as useful against the Vale guardian but there was talk about breakbars though so maybe S/P thief would see some use after all? Boon stripping via Steal? Stealth ressing? Thief doesn’t exactly have any viable healing options either so pure dps as always? Or condi perhaps as suggested by others on this thread. Is there even a justification to bring a thief over any other profession? The way I see it, revenant and engineer could fill pure dps and condi roles better than thief :/
I haven’t touched my thief in pvp for a couple of months now. While playing other professions I don’t find thieves a threat at all. I never specifically focus them in teamfights because I know they’ll die from the random cluster and aoe anyway. Tbh I pretty much ignore them. At best they decap points but if someone stands on the point there’s not much they can do.
I think saying thief can kill any other profession is simply false. You can only kill people who are not nearly as good as you or already low on health from a previous fight. Oh and +1 is still not a role. Thief was doing ok before, now any other profession can take its place and do better.
Anyway, I’m pretty sure Anet is aware of these issues already since there’s been plenty of threads on the subject. The question is what they’re going to do about it and when. And on that note, someone mentioned on another thread a point that I never even considered: Thieves might be balanced fairly but maybe the other professions aren’t. I wish Anet would just split skills for pvp and pve, it would make things so much easier.
EDIT: Meanwhile I’ve played a power necro alot lately and man… The amount of dmg and the survivability makes thief look stupid. There is just no justification why I should take thief over necro. And this is just one of the professions that performs better than thief.

Sometimes the megalaser blows up before anyone gets to it. Probably mobs (champ grubs?) spawning near it.
Ascended gear is out an eternity, if you don’t have single character with ascended gear you’re doing it wrong. Raiding won’t be your thing then anyways, the game has lots of other stuff to offer.
there are reasons for not having ascended gear, for example:
I have a necro, mesmer, engi and ele.
I plan on maining Rev exclusively when HoT is released.
guess what ascended armor and crafting profession I DON’T have?
I’m just praying that the early bosses will be doable in just ascended accessories, the cost for making ascended armor in a timely manner is just stupid, 12g (or 300 scraps of silk) for a bolt of damask, and I need 25 >_>.
You have several weeks before the first wing is released and it was stated partial mix of ascended/exotic will be fine for skilled players. So you should already have the trinkets ready or can get them ready in time for any new alts.
Then we have who knows how much time until the raid wings that actually are recommended to have full ascended get released. Meaning you have tons of time to prepare.
Not only that but if you’ve been doing high level fractals, SW farming, guild missions and World Boss runs then you should also have a few ascended boxes and trinkets laying around in your bank. You can also get ascended items from achievements and collections.
If you haven’t been doing end game PvE content on a consistent basis then why do you think you should be given a free pass for the harder end game content? Self-entitled gamers!
We all have plenty of time to prepare people. Stop with the excuses and whining and get to work!
lol your funny. ascended boxes are random drop. You could be playing for massive amounts of hours and never see one drop. Back when i was grinding fairly hardcore in the game, like 6+ hours a day on average for months, i saw one single ascended weapons box.
a person with a normal/healthy play per dsy 1-3 hours would probably never see one.I also find it odd you consider world bosses and silverwastes endgame play, or good preparation for raiding.
I mostly do pvp/fractals/teq while waiting for HoT (among other random things) and I get ascended boxes from all 3 of those every now and then and I’m certainly not the luckiest person in the world. It’s really all about how you spend your limited gaming hours or your gold.
I already have several ascended armour sets and weapons among random pieces of asc gear and I’m still sitting on top of some 7-8 unopened asc armor boxes. Some pieces are crafted or from achievements but most are from fractals. And the cool thing about fractals is that you can do several of them a day and have more chances to get ascended gear (I usually do lvl 50 and 40 or lvl 49 and 38).
EDIT: actually lower levels might be better for ascended gear while higher levels are better for fractal skins
(edited by Maris.3164)
Jesus christ some of you are ridiculously bad at understanding LOWEST HP + LOWEST ARMOR = INSTA DEAD WITHOUT SUSTAIN FROM WATER/ARCANA LINE
Yeah so without water and arcana eles would be like thieves. Playing D/D cele ele is probably the easiest time I’ve had in pvp. It’s very cosy and always a good choice no matter what you get on your team. 1v1 is usually a sure win or the opposition gets frustrated with the amount of sustain they decide to leave me alone. But one thing is for sure; D/D makes other pvp ele builds pale in comparison so unless the other builds were buffed considerably, D/D should stay the way it is now. Just my opinion though.
Anyone having a cry about it is just lazy af. It’s “End game” suck it up and make your ascended.
I’m not sure I get this attitude. It’s a question of time and interest more than difficulty for most people.
A full set of ascended gear costs something like 350G – 450G. I don’t know what people’s average gold-making rates are, but if you’re making 10G/hour (which isn’t a bad rate!) that’s still 35-45 hours of farming to gear up a character, with a single stat.
That’s not difficult, but it’s definitely grind, and if it’s required for raiding, it’s mandatory grind.
(You can change stats in the Mystic Forge now, but that’s something you want to do once, not back-and-forth as you experiment or do different content.)
Time invested and interest is a way to separate casuals from “hardcore” players. Casuals don’t care as much and as such they probably wouldn’t bother with raids anyway or have the skill to complete them.
Yes full ascended gear is costly if you craft all of it. If you hop into fractals instead you will be getting tons and tons of armor boxes and some weapon boxes from daily rewards. Plus fractals is also a good playground to test and improve your skills so you’ll benefit one way or another anyway.
Personally I’d rather have this gating than none. You shouldn’t (won’t) be able to carry people in raids and this is one way (though maybe not the best one) to make sure the new and casual people won’t attempt to take a larger bite than they can chew and end up being a pain for the rest of the group. It’s supposed to be “end game” and as such, difficult aka not for casuals/new players. And it isn’t a mandatory grind, because nobody is forced to do raids, or fractals for that matter.
I think the core of the problem is the fact that there’s only 2 working builds for thief and both rely on SB 5 to get around. I don’t think +1 is a role. Or decapping empty points. That would make you more like a ranger pet than anything else. Sadly though, it’s all you can do as an average thief.
There are professions that are weaker than others (ranger and thief imo). While ranger often feels a little clunky and lackluster, thief feels too squishy overall to ever kill anything aside from other thieves 1v1.
Now the really experienced and good thieves who have fast reflexes are fine with all the changes but if you’re average, you’re sub par compared to other professions and will drag your team down with you or get carried.
So yes, to some degree it is a l2p issue but it’s an unacceptable situation regardless. I play all the professions (except thief for the last couple of months due to obvious reasons) and I never feel like I’m letting my team down because I’m not constantly dead like I would be on thief. It’s just so much easier to survive and contribute on the other professions instead of hiding in stealth or running away constantly.
Stealth and mobility both require fast reflexes and are far from reliable survivability options, if you compare to invulnerability and simple sustain. There’s plenty of counter to mobility and stealth both. Plus thief has the lowest health pool possible and on top of that terrible condi removal and stunbreaks.
You probably should have posted this thread on thief forums to avoid the usual borderline aggressive and ignorant responses. Those who don’t play thief don’t care nor do they usually have anything of value to comment anyway. This thread is probably gonna turn into insults and arguments soon so I’ll just see myself out before that happens.
As said above, it’s not just unranked that has bad players. Oftentimes I’m left to cap/hold points alone when my team goes off to fight in a huge blob, often outside of points. If they fight on the points, they’re usually running for the other team or neither side.
And don’t get me started on the treb users on Kyhlo. Sometimes they stay on the treb the entire game and hit a player maybe twice during it by pure luck.
Some sort of filter for new (and bad) players is sorely needed.
I ran a celestial revenant (because I was too lazy to change gear) and I had the complete opposite experience. I found most mobs easy to beat (albeit I was rarely alone), champs took a little longer to kill in group though than what I’m used to. But I wasn’t expecting to be able to kill champs or vets solo or fast anyway.
There was one exception though, the mushrooms. I paused when I ran into them going ‘aww cute little mushroom guys’ and trying to get a closer look. Then I got mobbed by them… CC after CC and I would have died if not for the NPC that came to revive me when I went down. It was quite funny though. My own fault for staring like an idiot and not doing anything until they charged me and knocked me down.
Necros are waaaayyyyy better team fighters than thieves ever will be. Necros can stay in big scale fights, thieves will never be able to nor they ask for it.
Once again no thief is asking to be able to 1v1 every single class in game but at least have fair chance vs some of them. Also, once again WHERE DO MESMERS FIT IN THIS WHOLE ARGUMENT OF YOURS because they can fill exactly same role, have actually more stealth than thieves, more CC, higher burst and better survival.
I have yet to see a single post in any thread that managed explain why it is ok for mesmers to be how they are but not for thieves.
Mesmers don’t “fit in my argument” – I was under the impression we were talking about thieves. Attacking my argument by drawing in mesmers is a straw man.
My point is exactly the opposite: You can’t compare classes like that (or at least imo you shouldn’t be able to).
I think you should be a bit more specific about what you want to be able to do … in one build. And what you want to be able to do “in general”.Actually we should be dragging mesmers into this. Mesmers and thieves used to share a role of decapping and 1v1. Now only mesmer is capable of 1v1, whereas thief doesn’t survive long enough to kill anyone 1v1 (except other thieves). Mesmer and thief are a natural comparison, one was buffed, the other was not.
And as others have said a thousand times… We only want to be able to win 1v1 at least sometimes, not just against other thieves. Or is thief supposed to only decap empty points? What is your justification for that?
There is a big difference between Mesmers and Thieves.
Thieves have way more mobility than Mesmers. Mesmers have only a 30 second cooldown teleport. Thieves have multiple teleports in the shortbow, and panic skills in the utility bar.
I’m not arguing about mobility, I’m talking about combat capabilities. I was just saying thief and mesmer are both used for decapping and were both used for contesting points, with the difference that thief cannot win 1v1 fast enough or reliably anymore. Usually the thief ends up dead in 1v1. I’d give up my mobility in an instant for some sustain.
Necros are waaaayyyyy better team fighters than thieves ever will be. Necros can stay in big scale fights, thieves will never be able to nor they ask for it.

Everyone can decap – technically you just stand on the point alone. That is how it is to look at things in a vacuum.
Not a single thief have come forward and told what relevant classes/builds they want to be able to beat, and what the consequences would be for that class – that I DO find highly relevant. It really boils down to what should be exchanged for the ability to 1vs1.
When you say “both have the role to decap” you are in fact saying so more than that – I wonder if you are aware of that? In some ways it is even in conflict with statements of some of your fellow thieves in this thread. What you are saying is, that only these 2 classes decap (not in line with other thieves) and it seems like you are ok with that? What you also is saying, is that the ability to decap is some fixed thing, and somehow mesmers and thieves have something in common, but mesmers have something more than thief, beside “that thing” they have in common – thief is thereby some kind of subset to mesmers. I don’t think I have words to describe how much I disagree with that kind of interpretation.
Sheesh, I have no clue where you’re getting all of this. I was merely saying thief and mesmer used to be the two professions that most of the time would contest points and decap. Of course any profession can do that but thief has SB5 and mesmer has portal and blink so that would make them more ideal for the job.
The thing is, thief can no longer decap contested points, only empty ones. Because they can’t survive 1v1 against… Well, pretty much anyone. You’re welcome to try 1v1 in ranked/unranked with a thief and you’ll get my point soon enough. Meanwhile mesmer has no such difficulties. And as I said before, thief and mesmer are a natural comparison because they share a role and a playstyle. Only mesmer does it better now.
And… Are you really saying thief needs to sacrifice something in order to be able to 1v1? Good grief get a grip of the game. I can’t even tell if you’re serious or not.
A little off-topic but I’m starting to think mesmer might be considered op atm because there’s no one to keep them in check anymore. Thief used to be that profession but no more. Funny how their roles flipped.
I have hope that DD spec will help the thief survive a little longer 1v1, at least against some professions and builds. But well, personally I feel there should be a HP buff too. But that’s just me.
Necros are waaaayyyyy better team fighters than thieves ever will be. Necros can stay in big scale fights, thieves will never be able to nor they ask for it.

Like it’s so sad, this class is even “simpler” than Warrior to play because you literally get away by spamming because everything you do, you never get punished for it.
I’d like to point out that revenant has an energy bar that is quickly drained if you spam mindlessly. I’d call that a punishment.
I’m guessing you hate thieves too huh?
At least thieves are the absolute best at some role that’s valuable to a PVP team. In fact one of the most valuable positions on the team as it can easily turn the course of a game.
+1 is still not a role. I’d like to see people’s reactions if the same happened to say… Warrior, or ele. Force them into +1 role, making them obsolete in everything else and unable to 1v1. The uproar would be pretty hilarious.
The sad thing is, no one seems to care that thief is currently in that place.
