There’s only so many dev hours in a day. There’s only so much money in the budget, Everything we ask devs to do costs them in time and money. Everything they work on is time taken away from working on something else. (Even just adding sharks somewhere takes someone to do it). If people ask devs to add or remove something then they need more argument than it would be cool. Lots of things would be cool but the costs means that they can’t be put in.

So, what is your argument to convince the devs to spend the time and money to add sharks? (Besides cool). Remember, they’re busy making an expansion and the next part of the Living Story so it has to be good enough to pull a dev from his already full plate of work to what you’re asking for.

you do realize this is only your opinion and not everyone agrees with you , the devs should do things becasue it would be "cool"from time to time , adding a few sharks maybe an champ kill event like a megalodong in guild halls wouldt be to hard and would be cool.

you guys complaining there cant be sharks in a mystical underground cave are silly , you do realize this is a game and its not 1:1 game real world , if you want an answer how can shark be in the guild halls then the answer is MAGIC , and if you are still confused the answer is again magic, the sharks seem a minor cool thing i dont see you complaining about the buble glider now do it ?

You should add the following options when Right Clicking on another player

“Challenge to a Duel”
Temporarily switch to PvP mode and have players fight until one is in the downed state.

“Inspect Player”
Show a read only version of the player’s Equipment Screen including gear, selected glider, and even build configuration.

If anyone else has great ideas for what else players should be able to do to other players with right click, please add them here.

Alot of people wanted inspect option from anet as well as dps meters but guess what anet will never put those in the game so learn to live withouth them it isnt wow.

We are happy to announce that we have made a number of performance improvements to the guild decoration system and will be raising the decoration cap in the guild hall from 1000 decorations to 2000 decorations in the July 26 release! As you may know, this has been a long-standing goal, and we’re delighted to be able to make the increase at this time.

While a majority of players will enjoy the higher cap with no issue, there will be some impact on those who play on computers at the minimum specifications for Guild Wars 2. To avoid issues, we will continue to limit the number of decorations that may be placed close to one another in a specific allotment of space to 20 decorations within a radius of 500. To give that an in-game point of reference, the effect radius of a warrior shout is 600, so a guild could place 20 decorations in a space slightly smaller than the area of that skill effect. But even with that protection in place, some players could experience performance issues. Thus we wanted to offer a couple suggestions for guilds that may have members who play on min-spec machines but who wish to place an increased number of decorations in their guild hall.

• Consider spacing decorations with animations or interact options around your hall. Avoiding clusters of such objects will reduce the impact of the particles being produced.
• Try to avoid placing a majority of your decorations in one general area of the map. For example, Lost Precipice’s Arena can be pretty fun to decorate because it has a lot of open space and dramatic archways. If a decorator places a majority of a guild’s decorations in and around the arena to fill it, performance will drop whenever a player’s camera turns in that general area. Consider finding ways to spread out the decorations so the area still looks full without putting quite so many into that single area.
• Suggest members on min-spec computers use the “Best Performance” option from the Settings Preset dropdown in their graphic options [F11, 2nd Tab]. This will lower or disable some of the settings that may otherwise lower performance in favor of appearance.

This upgrade has insane cost compared to the other restoration 2 thingies in the guild, here is the list of mats needed :

500 watchwork sprocket
500 mithril ingots
400 vials of linseed oil 400*0,73 = 292 gold
50 airship oil
1000 therm reagent
400 orichalcum ing 400*0,10 = 40 gold
50 elonian leather square !!! 50*13,10 gold = 675 gold!
400 quartz crystal

withouth calculating the others it comes to 1007 gold at the very minimal for 1 freaking upgrade anet please look at this 1 upgrade again and cut the cost down by like 3/4 ths.

This game desperately need some new content i am a long time player almost 3 years now so i did pretty much everything in the game pvp wvw pve even went back to gw1 to get my gwamm title, but my point is having seen everything in this game i get way to bored with it i mainly just log in to do daily some pvp and maybe one or 2 multi loots, i have virtualy no interest in raids didnt even try them once. what i did like was when they brought sab back for april i think, they need to give us players who are experiencing this lack of content some events like the gauntlet or some new one maybe bring back dragon bash hmm i know alot of players who want that back. so yea anet add some events before living story 3 and not anymore of these current events nonsence its fine for easy ap but lets be honest its a chore.

I hope that if they nerf it, they don’t punish the looting of those of us who stick to a single AB map.

You can also guarantee, it will be nerfed into oblivion, they don’t nerf things half hearted in this game, they will go all out, they always do, anyone who thinks other wise just has to look at some of the locations in game that where used for farming in the past, or certain events that where good in the past that now give NO XP or NO LOOT at all.

Remember when they changed SW’s and removed like 80% of the chests…….anyone been in Dry Top sandstorm recently, good luck finding more than 5 chests.

This is why I don’t do any or these sort of farms, as when the nerf hammer comes down people are shocked to see just how bad the rewards are, when otherwise you wouldn’t realise it as you are getting x5 at the moment.

I still dont get why you people want anet to nerf this nerf that, if you personally dont like something and here is a shocker DONT DO IT , instead of complaining to anet and wanting them to kill the fun of others.

kind of goes back on my point 2 but just a fun little picture of a random pug team destroying a premade guild one ^^ in diamond, however my point still stand even if that team sucked other teams have advantages over randoms.

Hello first of all i am not the biggest pvp player i play it from time to time when the mode hits me this season i went from amber to diamond t6 , however durring my playtime i noticed some major flaws in the current que system.

- first of all it depends way to much on luck , do a match win a pip do a match lose a pip just because the teammates you had are “bad” , i know people will say make your own team but i dont have time for that.

- second pre made teams should not be able to join random pug teams , those teams use team speak giving them an unfair advantage , they use class compositions that often gives them an edge over randoms.

- Third solo que should be SOLO que meaning i dont want my performance to be measured depending on the luck of what teammates i get ( them being bad or good )

- Forth this one is just a minor annoyance but anet needs to start giving out bans to people that rage if they dont wint the match , that is cant handle a loss these people are toxic and make me want to play pvp less and less.

Heres an idea. Remove bullkitten upgrade system from WvW and add things like crafting stations, mystic forge, personal back access, trading post, etc to the Guild Hall and let players use it more. Right now i dont think anyone kittening uses guild hall much at all.

Anet already does what they can to stop gold sellers. They read reports of gold selling, and they ban the accounts. And we help in that by reporting them when we see them.

Yeah, I’m fine with the buyers having the gold taken away and possibly being banned for repeated rule breaking. I’d also be fine with banning gold sellers/buyers. I’ll never be fine with restricting player-to-player mailing of items, though.

So, the main issue you are having is core members and not really about repping.
Indeed, it isn’t very easy to obtain such thing as core members in this laid back game. Even those guilds that you see that appear successful are only successful because of the previous state where you have to represent to interact and thus, people tend to represent their “main” guild more.

However, at this state of the game, the representation don’t mean much technically other than its morale values where represent is to show respect to the guild and its people but honestly, people don’t really care about that either. For the current state of the game, it is very easy to encounter individuals who join guild for the sake of joining, I mean, you got 5 slots afterall, what stop them for doing that? Thus, it is a norm to see individuals joining your guild and does nothing, nothing at all.

Representing though is a symbol of respect for the guild, it also can be used as a convenient reason to remove non-contributive individuals without being called a tyrant, especially when you have your rules and expectations stated black and white.

Successful guilds are built on a very simple cycle, you help the people, you remove the inactives, you remove the troublemakers, you remove the people that don’t fit your policies and so on. You keep on filtering and filtering and filtering until you obtain ideal members. and even then, you will keep repeating since people come and go in a online game.

Hello i run a 250 + member guild and i have some issues with representing, i am trying to make a guild that has a strong community of active players that will be invested in our guild, however that is hard when anet made it so you can have 5 guild and not rep any of them while still technically be a part of it or 1 main and 4 extra. if you ask people for mandatory rep you are looked at as an kitten for demanding that but if you dont and have a guild full of people not repping or giving a kitten how can you grow the guild. This goes to anet developers fix your broken guild system and go back to how gw1 did it kitten have 1 guild and have that guild be in allience of other guilds you know like in gw1 !? that way you have cross guild chat there are no representing issues and everyone is happy.

also on a short note add a guild trading post merchant to guild halls its very annoying having to port outside to pick mats i need for scribing, and you cant asume everyone has mass stacks of black lion tp mechant summons or 2k gold to buy one (permanent).

Please stop this multi loot thing… it’s really unfair. People do meta 1x in 1hour, why do they have the chance to loot 5-6 instances? Make it so people can only loot in the instance they did the meta… Or only loot once/ every 2h

Hello this is very simple Admin Lower Ranks needs to be 2 seperate permissions one to invite people to guild and other to promote demote /kick it should not be all in one permision.

Example:
gm – can inv kick promote etc
co leader – same
officer – can invite ( but i dont want them to be able to kick just in case )
members – can invite.

Maybe I’m misremembering, but didn’t they have a device like this in game during the beta weekend events back in 2012? I seem to remember a trumpet device that could be used to speak on all maps, possibly it was from the gemstore. If it was, it didn’t make it all the way to launch.

Hello i recently started recruiting for my guild and it is a pain having to port to every zone just to post recruitment lfg, so here is an idea how about you guys add an item to the gem store that will send messages to all zones an all channels for about 1k gems and restrict it only to 2 year and older accounts that would prevent bots from being able to buy it and basicly only players could.

I would guess that at least half of the ones done as dailies are not actually even done.. or more, since people will portal to get them. Your metrics on how many complete them will be so skewed they are meaningless.

you cant use custom music in game, instead use the windows sound mute button for gw2 / load a music program of your choice have fun. or just use the music button in game mute it then load the program of your choice …….

This post is simple give ideas on what you think is bad needs improving in hope anet fixes some of them and makes the game more enjoyable.

my 2 ideas:

1- Add an auto delete option for all minor /major sigil and runes – you get way way to many of them from salvaging gear im almost guaranteed 1 per item from my silver feed salvage o matic.

2- Add pet battles i know they probably never will but no harm in asking.

While the social progress angle is a noble one I just wanna have some left main handed characters (especially my elementalist, guardian, and thief, my warrior, revenant, and druid can remain righties since they’re based off right handed characters). Just look at the technical sophistication that went into the HoT cutscenes, if you can make a big detailed dragon made of plants then I’m pretty sure you can make a toggle to mirror our characters into lefties. Nintendo did it for Twilight Princess (they flipped the entire game) since most people are righties and would feel more comfortable with Link as a righty. I didn’t buy Twilight Princess for this reason as a traditionally lefty character swapped just for the majority’s convenience.

Greetings all. There are those who may not be aware of this, but Anet is one of the most LGBT friendly game companies in existence. Not only do they have a bunch of openly transgender people employed in development and music composition, but they are the first to incorporate homosexual relationships in GW lore, and had the first same-sex kiss in the main story line of a top MMO. To add to this, GW2 also features the first transgender NPC mesmer in Lion’s Arch!

Being a pioneer in gaming, I think it’s time for Anet to once again push the envelope further towards equality for all. I believe the time is right for Aid Worker Sya to join our heroes in the next Living Story arc. What better way to teach acceptance and tolerance than to put a transgender character front and center in a main story? The story could detail the struggles that a transgender person in the world of Tyria, why Symon became Sya, and how she overcomes adversity in the face of Elder Dragon threats. Dare I suggest that Sya be the one to deal the killing blow to the Elder Dragon in the next expansion?

As a straight liberal male, I salute Anet for all they’ve done to connect with all types of players. Good job MO and Colin (if you still lurk our forums)!
