Guild Wars 2

Just had a really fun 2 v 3 in NSP.
It was crazy cause I was teaching my guildy how to use his D/D Ele, and boom 2 other D/D Elementalists pop out of no where throwing us around and such and it became a 2 v 2 Dagger Ele showdown! So I’m like “here is your final test” and we fought for a couple of minutes and this enemy Guardian shows up. We finally take down one of the Eles and now this guardian is pounding at us… Once we finally take him down that Ele that we killed respawned and ran back. and we were back where we started. We took down one of the eles, and then my partner went down, and with that I was finally able to take down the last ele.

It was a CRAZY FUN fight and was great practice for my partner’s new build!
The Ele’s were from [SoS] and we were from [GASM].
If you guys see this please whisper me and we can get another fight organized :P

Yeah guys,
I try to avoid the forums mainly because all of the forums (problems) that follow it.
I try to keep me and my guild’s nose clean.

We try to make more of an impression on the battle-field though we’re not as big as many other major guilds on the server!

To DR:
We have a lot of work to do to be on par with these guys.
At least we’re not bored like last week. It was so peaceful last week! :P

Someone with even a small sliver of intelligence can think of a way to counter the ele running back into the tower…

It’s not hard at all and requires very little preparation. Maybe you aught to think some more before screaming ZOMG NERRFFFF!

@Furry, each guild has it’s own influence for each server. If people just move over to claim it over another guide, it would be very hard for them to unlock all of the upgrades and then buy the buffs.

We’re so bored!
Running a naked zerg around the map and running into the SF spawn was the high point of the day!

Oh, these servers don’t forum much….

Does it make a person feel better about him/herself knowing that the fly did have a chance of escape?

Does it make a fly feel better when it is smashed by a fly-swatter to know it had no chance and was dealing with something much bigger than itself?

You completely destroyed us on the island both times. We were really frustrated by the time we had to port to spawn the second time!

We were just running down and rallying at the island BOTH times, we didn’t expect incoming both times… I was slightly vary of having us rally at the island the second time… but I was like “nahhh can’t happen twice in a row!”

In all fairness though about the “number of DR players running around” these fights were occurring in DR’s borderlands, and we were rushing to defend our keeps.

For the first one, we were rushing to defend south side of bay, the second time we were rushing to protect red tower, and the last one I believe north side of Bay. Don’t quote me on that though, I’m not 100% sure

Thank you for the video though, will be showing this to my guildies as “What not to do next time!”
I hope we can have a better fight next time!

Personally I run an i7 processor. I can barely run GW2 without lag. I would personally go for sticking with an i5 for a better video card.
I don’t know about Asus, but Dell customer support is the best I have ever experienced. If anything goes wrong, you know Dell will fix it.

Hello everyone!
I have just recently gotten my commander’s compendium (thanks to my guildies) and I am having a little bit of trouble figuring out how to set up the attack here, defend here, and supply here waypoints. The only waypoint I’m getting when I Alt + Click is my own personal waypoint. Could anyone teach me how to use those aspects of my commander’s emblem?

We do attempt to help the community around us to the best of our abilities. Anyone is free to join our banners/upgrades/events. We also hold events to help the community around us. As Paragon was saying, we have a daily event in which we get two mesmers from the guild to run up through the jumping puzzle. Those mesmers then contact the commanders who are leading any teams and those commanders lead the zerg to the jumping puzzle. From there our mesmers portal practically the entire server up there to get free siege, badges, and equips!

Hello ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! (As well as anyone who doesn’t fit in these categories!)

I am Gasmic!
I lead a nice small guild called Gasm [GASM].

We have around 140 people currently enrolled in the guild out of which only 5 do not regularly represent. (I will deal with them later). I usually do not have a problem getting members to represent, because they realize that our guild provides something no other guild can! We have multiple guild perks, and we are active in all parts of the game.
We provide 24/7 10% Magic Find.
We provide 24/7 15% Karma.
We provide 5% Exp Bonus whenever you ask for it (Most of our members are already 80)
We provide all kinds of banners whenever you need them!
We are almost 100% maxed out on the upgrades, we’re just getting the bank upgrade!
We have guild events daily! (More info on the events on the bottom!)

Gasmic WvW
We were started and Devona’s Rest
as a no-name guild, and have grown to be one of the top three guilds which represent Devona’s Rest in WvW as well as a multitude of other places. We had started the guild when Devona’s Rest was at the bottom of the lowest tier in WvW, and from then we have fought tooth and nail to now secure our position on the highest spot on the lowest tier! We will be bumped up soon, and we will be facing two servers with a much larger population than ours. We have been working on strategies and organization to own up WvW without the numbers!
If you are a commander type and looking for a guild who frowns on mindless zergs, look no further.
If you are a soldier and do not want to pay for multiple repairs due to an uncoordinated commander, look no further.
If you are a strategist and are looking for people of influence who will actually listen and follow your strategies, look no further.
Here at Gasm we believe that EVERY individual can make a difference in WvW. I believe coordination is KEY in being successful in WvW, and with everyone’s help we can conquer!
I’m not currently a commander in WvW, but I’m respected as one (sometimes more than a commander). I’m saving up to get it though!

Gasmic Pve
We constantly have events in PvE. We try to make sure that the temples in Orr are always open, and when they’re not we get a nice rally going to re-open them. We are also planning other PvE events such as map completion events (We all meet at a certain map and complete it. If one shows up to all of the events, they will get full map completion!) We also like having fun events like Keg brawls! We have farming events in which we run through Orr and get as many drops as we can! And all at the same time, we have the maximum amount of guild bonuses supporting us!

Gasmic Dungeons
We have a relatively large group of dungeon go-ers in the guild! We are always looking for one last member to fill up the party to the dungeon we’re doing! Since guildies have the first priority, it shouldn’t be too hard to get those fancy weapons that everyone wants! I’m currently going for an AC dagger set! ;p

Gasmic PvP
We have a pretty small group of members who do PvP, but we’re looking to make a skilled tPvP team!

Gasmic Community
The community in this guild is amazing. We work by recruiting actively for one week and then closing off for the rest of the month. We spend that one month getting to know all of the new members, having events with them, and just having a good time. Within a month, all new members will have been accustomed to the guild and then that’s when we start next wave of recruitment. There will almost NEVER be a time when you’ll feel like the odd one out because there will always be someone else who’s just as new to the guild as you!

When [GASM] and [RED] were running a 21 Golem army (just for fun I might add) they were all nearly destroyed by proper defense at a single keep. Golems have their weaknesses, you just need to know how to deal with them.

I do suggest you stop speaking in such a condescending manner.
It makes your guild look bad.

I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt, I’m pretty sure if there is an exploit, we’ll be seeing more of it soon.
Anyways good join in WvW earlier Kaineng. That zerg you snuck to the back of DR Hills destroyed us.
We were too busy fighting the north end to figure out that there were people on the south. By the time we figure out you guys were at the inner walls, it was way too late.

The iSpy zergs make me shake in my seat.

Something mighty fishy was going on there. When it was only my guild in our borderlands, we all seemed to have problems with groups of 3-5 of enemies hitting mighty hard. Everyone on my TeamSpeak were complaining how they were doing a HUGE amount of damage. These people weren’t even level 80s.

I would just like to say good job to my guild [GASM] who have had a bunch of fun these past few weeks in WvW.
Special shoutout to Team Ice-Cream Sandwich for finding out what happens if you run into the opponent’s base and avoid the Legendary Heroes. ( You get teleported back out and destroyed by the Heroes.)
Kota The Strong (leader of FWAE) does an amazing job defending our home server.
Kaputz (Leader of GANK) has awesome resolve and I believe that he will be one of the people who will bring this guild over the top.
Props to iSpy and Rave from the other server for showing up wherever we don’t want them to be.
Shout-out to Marcellus for having me learn about the blocking feature in GW2 because of his strange obsession with the quaggans in the lake. “THE kittenKKINGG QUAGGANS GUYYYSS!”
I love Devona’s Rest so much, GASM is not going to leave anytime in the near future.

I decided to take this moment to make my formal introduction to the GW2 Forums! Big shout-out to my guildies and my alliance mates!
I’ll be joining you guys on the forums more often now, putting in my two cents here and there. I have been following the forums for a while, but I refrained from doing so because I’ve noticed that almost everyone who has posted there has been flamed.
I, being someone who does not handle flaming very well, attempted to delay it as much as I can, but now I believe it’s time for me to come forth. Many people might know me as the emblem-less commander (I’m saving up, believe me) giving orders, kitten around, and pretty much just helping people get into WvW and having a good time.
I have a few things to say to Devona’s Rest and the other servers we have matched up with. Right now it seems that we are going to win this round, and we will be bumped up soon, and I would just like to say that I adore the rivalry between Kaineng and Ferg and us. I am going to miss competing with them greatly.

I have noticed on the forums that multiple people have found issues with PRO joining us. Let me try to address this topic as delicately as I can.
I see where they are coming from; the people who appose PRO joining us. Being a leader in Devona’s Rest when we were at the bottom of the bottom, seeing the server when we just had one commander running around the map, we have developed a kind of attachment to our server. We had weeks in which we weren’t even visible on the “Pie of Points” for days on end! The couple of weeks before PRO joined us, Devona was heading on up; we had become a lot more structured and the slim traces of organization was showing up. We went from having no control of anything to being able to hold our own borderlands for almost the entire week. In short, we were watching the server grow.
We’re all RPG players so I’m sure you will be able to relate with the following example:
Imagine Devon starts up a new game. He levels up a bit, and loves every moment of it. He hits level 5 and starts developing a great attachment to his character. He plays longer and puts more time, effort, and love into this character and watches it grow stronger. Suddenly due to some glitch, he automatically gets maxed level and maxed gear. He’s completely robbed of the journey of watching the character grow, and he feels a little overwhelmed.
I believe this is what Devona’s Rest, and in some part me as well, is facing. We were hoping of watching our server move its way up the ranks due to collective efforts of the people that we had around us. It makes our achievements feel kind of “cheap.”
On the other side, having PRO around is kind of a blessing. I believe that with their ADDED influence, we will be able to turn the morale of the server around.
In my conclusion about this topic, I humbly welcome PRO and I look forward to coordinating with them later on. To the leader of PRO, Phizyn (I hope that was spelled right) I would like to welcome you and your guild personally from Gasm. If you need anything, feel free to ask us. I would also like to say that no matter what I say, people are still going to… errr well I guess the best phrase for this situation would be “Hater’s gonna hate.” It will take some time integrating into Devona’s , we are a small server and your merge has provided new faces, ideas, and thoughts to us, but after a little while, PRO will be considered a guild which was with Devona “From it’s early days.” I have already forbidden my guildies from talking trash about your guild for what it’s worth.
Now to continue, I would like to see a bit more collaboration from the different commander on each map. There are times when I see 3-4 commanders on the map, all doing different things, doing things which are counterproductive. If they were communicating with each other, their combined efforts would be very effective.
I would also like for the people in Devona’s Rest to learn World Vs World and its mechanics better. I have seen multiple people build up a treb right in front of the gates of a tower… that’s really not going to do anything. I make it my point to keep all of my guildies well informed on everything WvW related. I have written multiple guides on our guild forums to make sure they are as useful as possible.
Now enough of the bad, I would like to point out some of the good things about our server!
