Sooo, it took me 2 months to finish the WvW maps because we were stuck as green for weeks and now they are removing them… Typical bad luck, haha! XD Good change, though, I’m not even mad…

I don’t have scrolls and many tomes so I always level my characters in EotM without boosts (only food / banners occasionally). 1-80 takes me 2 days if I have more time to play. 3-4 days if I have less free time. I don’t know about others but I consider it fast. (However, leveling speed in EotM depends on your server, I’m on SFR and we mow down everything).

I think the most was around 500g when the Frostgorge champ farm was a thing?
Over 1k once, when I found and sold a precursor.
I don’t know exact numbers, though…

Sometimes you have to go far away from the “heart NPC” to find more mobs. I think the one you’re talking about is in Queensdale, you can go to the cave to find more bandits.

Exactly. -_- This is why I always complain about clipping in this forum. And the other day someone told me if I don’t like clipping, I shouldn’t play MMOs. Well, thanks for that? The problem is that GW2 has by far the ugliest clipping issues among MMOs and I’ve tried most of the popular titles… Not only the wings but I want to scream when I can’t equip a certain armor because it makes my side weapons go through my arms… (or the armor, lol).

An advice for new people: Find a nice guild and do dungeons with guildies. No one’s gonna kick you out of the party. Welcome to GW2.

Am I the only one around here who doesn’t want those animations back? During the stretching animation, the textures looked stretched around the armpits. During the head scratching animation, half of my hands disappeared in my brain… They were very ugly. If they do give them back, at least fix these issues… Yuck…

9 years anet. 9 years between gw1 gw2 thats how long i have been playing. 4 accounts (all expansions) and 40 slots in gw1, 9 slots in one account in gw2. in all that time all that money i spent i have never been more upset over anything you guys pulled the this.

I really don’t know what you all where thinking (by this i mean the team), you have no clue as to what your player base is doing, everyone in my guild (40-45 players) are so kittened off that they all refuse to buy gems anymore with or with our gold.

I am sure that we are not the only ones, just lost respect from supporters of you company. use you heads and hearts not the company profit margin if you want your bottom line to be any good.

This. Almost identical play time and I bought 2 copies of several. Hope you guys enjoyed the vacations I helped pay for! Unbelievable the way you do your longtime veteran fans and biggest supporters. This is the first time in 9 years there is no GW game installed on my PC. Really shocked and underwhelmed. Nice job on killing the game death by a thousands cuts style.

What I don’t understand is what exactly was confusing about the old system? We were new players back in 2012 and when I joined this game nothing was confusing about it! NOTHING! That’s right, we were all new players once and never had problems! Did MMO players suddenly became DUMB or what?! No. This is just a way to force people spend more gold on gems. That means we run out of gold faster and we’re more likely to spend real money to get gold / gems. Don’t even try to sugarcoat it. This is a new low in GW2’s history. I am utterly disappointed.

Please don’t fix it, I hate it when they touch their hair and their fingers clip into their brain. How can you guys look at that ugly clipping during the animation? And I haven’t mentioned the stretched armpits and hand through side weapons yet… Yuck. : /

The reason why I like these is because they are short (but feminine enough) so they wouldn’t have (much) clipping issues. :P I’d get the 2nd one and/or the last one!

I agree too. I played WoW trial many years ago, I uninstalled it after 10 minutes because of the ugly races and clunky combat (when I moved all I saw was “you must face the target”). And when I died I became some kind of light and the screen looked weird (everything had only one colour), I was walking around for minutes and had no idea what to do and the weird screen gave me motion sickness… Never again!

I’m a melee / trapper Ranger, this is (was) my only way to get endurance faster. I can’t equip a skill that gives me vigor because I need my traps and my build does not have access to other vigor traits (I need other traits more). I don’t see a problem with 50% regen… My crit DD mesmer gets 5sec vigor on crit, with 75% crit chance that means almost perma 100% regen… Guardian has the same trait. Give us a trait like that OR let the Ranger keep that crappy 50%, please! It’s supposed to be a mobile profession.

lol yeah, I mean, I don’t really do anything except for living story stuff, dailies, monthlies and helping people on maps with skill challenges and events. Dungeons and fractals are not my thing, so… Exotic is enough for the nab PvE content I do. I really don’t wanna start crafting just to get what, 10% better stats? But that’s just me. I’m pretty sure many people will start crafting now. xD

But isn’t ascended gear crafting only and account bound? I think that’s what they said in the announcement or whatever… So if I want ascended stuff I am forced to craft and I hate crafting. I’ll just stick with exotic stuff on my characters. At least those things will be cheaper and they are just slightly “worse” than ascended, lol.

Wait, what?! I lvled my armor / weapon crafting to 400 because they said “best statted” (exotic) gear can be crafted. And now we can get slightly better in new dungeon?! Well, I’m very disappointed. I don’t do dungeons at all (only did Arah for personal story) but I really enjoy crafting! This update makes crafting useless because people will want this new gear, even if it’s only slightly better, I know player’s mentality, they will WANT the better stats! I enjoy farming mats and crafting for my friends and now they made crafting useless, no one will need my crafted gear anymore… WTH ArenaNet. Why?!?!?

It doesn’t frighten me, I mean I’m not scared of it, lol. As moirweyn said, the place is annoying. The Risen do everything to stop me and it takes forever to reach the place I’m going to… Stuns, pullbacks, whatever you can imagine. Also, Orr has his gloomy feeling, everything’s brown and grey with underwater stuff… No wonder it scares people away. I’d like a lvl 80 map that looks pretty like Timberline Falls.

I’m female irl and a proud Norn Warrior lady in GW2. =) Humans are overrated. Anyway, I’ve never had male character in MMOs. And just because I prefer female chars that does not mean I’m lesbian, so I don’t understand guys’ drama about looking at male butts or whatever, lol. I guess I just love being a woman in real life and in games.

Exactly why I always choose short (but girlish) hairstyles for my characters in MMOs. ;c I really like some of the long hairstyles for Norn women in GW2 but I’m aware of clipping issues, so I force myself to use short hair just to avoid frustartion later… Besides hair, it’s not easy to avoid other clipping problems as a player, I mean, I won’t get rid of my cultural armor, it cost me too much time and money. Now I’ll just wait for ANet to fix these things.

Stag Chausses. (T3 Norn cultural armor).
Primeval Warboots. (Cash shop heavy armor skin).
Adamant Guard Greatsword (T3 Charr cultural weapon).

Clipping problems:
1. Weapon / bottom armor clipping when I run.
2. Boots / bottom armor clipping when I walk backwards.
3. Bottom armor clipping in combat.
4. Weapon / ground clipping.

I agree and I post every time I see this thread. xD I’ve seen it many times and that means we really want it. It’s very important in GW2, because the endgame gear is mainly about aesthetics.

Yes, waypoints are extremely overpriced at higher lvls. Especially now because I’m saving up for lvl80 cultural armor, I save all the money I can get and I’m still broke… I’ll be happy if I get enough money for the set by the end of the year. x.x But even if I wasn’t saving up, the silver adds up really fast and it’s a huge loss and I’m only travelling. So yeah, I’m walking everywhere, it takes forever, and it’s not even fun on unlocked maps. Not to mention, mobs attack me and slow me down all the time… : ( Most of the people I’ve talked to walk too. (Sorry for my bad English).
