You should try a tanky build for Necro. I have a similar problem, my reaction times are slow so I’m bad at moving and timing blocks and dodges. I play a Life Siphon Knight Necro and it’s perfect for me, it relies on life siphon and deathshroud to stay alive, I very rarely have to move. The extra blind and weakness on dagger offhand also help with survivability.

I just want them to remove Ferocity and make crits 200% damage. It would open up room for defensive stats.

No, but at 80 every core specialization will be unlocked. It sucks but the only thing you can do is level up.

Er, 6 hours? I admit it took me about 5-6 tries be cause of bugs twice and the awkward mechanics during flight phases etc. but all in all about 1-2hours… and I did it solo.

Good for you I guess? My parties didn’t give up, we tried again and again until our gear was completely rekt so we spent a lot of time in there. They were all pugs, I guess everyone was new to HoT so we didn’t even know what we were doing half of the time. I was there from 2pm until almost 8pm but I had a food break. That DC didn’t help either…

I want female Sylvari leafy clothes that are not huge skirts and bulging parts with clipping issues, I want something tight and humble…

I got HoT last week and this mission took me 6 hours to finish because of bugs and other stuff (tried it alone AND in parties).

1st try (solo): Canach became invulnerable at 10% HP, I gave up after hitting him for 30 minutes (tried the shield and my own attacks, shield didn’t even do the bubble).
2nd: Eir stacked 50+ burning on us in seconds and nearly instakilled everyone the moment we attacked her.
3rd: Mordremoth attacked us and killed everyone in 1 hit, then he became invulnerable and unattackable by 2 party members (he had green HP bar, party members had red HP bar, I could kill my kitten party members but not Mordy, lolwut).
4th: I got DCed during Mordremoth fight and when I went back the whole mission restarted even though I was in a party… At this point I literally CRIED.
5th: Finally managed to beat it with 2 other people.

NEVER AGAIN. I got the Leystone armor piece I needed for my mix-n-match, g’bye Mordy!

I didn’t NEED it but map completion is the only thing with significant amount of underwater combat plus I was sitting on thousands of gold so I was like “why not?”

I will never understand why we have contested waypoints. People would do more events if they could jump right into action. Sometimes people on map chat say “Event here – linked contested waypoint”. I run there from a “free” waypoint aaand the event ends just before I arrive! Ugh, I hate it.

I used to play GW1 many years ago but I didn’t like that everything was instanced except for cities. I got lonely and bored quickly. Also, some of the missions were just too hard for me (I guess I suck). I liked subclasses, though (or whatever you call them). I wouldn’t go back.

o_o I just did it yesterday (first time since they added the solo version), no deaths and finished it in like 30 minutes. But yes, it’s STILL boring.

Yes, EotM is still viable IF your server is good, I leveled an alt to 80 in 2 days without boosts a month ago (I’m on a tier 1 server). Crafting was nerfed, you won’t lvl to 80 with it (but you’ll get some levels anyway).

Yup, it doesn’t matter for PvE because of megaservers BUT come to Seafarer’s Rest, it’s one of the most populated servers AND we are good at WvW (in case you want fast leveling in EotM which is mostly PvE anyway).

That’s weird. :s I’m more of a “passive grouper” so I used to join open world parties for anti-DC only but squads took their place… I always join a squad when there’s a commander around.

Maybe I posted here already, but take my +1. Anet, if you want us to like Outfits, at least give them more customizability. Those huge shoulder parts ruin most outfits.

Creative use of COLOURS and less popular armor / weapon skins / outfits.

What turns you off?
Black and / or white armor. They are overused, boring and show no creativity. There are literally hundreds of amazing colours in this game, use them! Also, overused skins (some legendaries, underboob armor, etc) and the bulky bird / angel wings.

The point is that the staff elementalist will pass through the hardship thanks to it’s DPS, controle ability and tons of additional healing skills while the Necromancer will relied on it’s natural resilience and ocasionnaly the support granted by it’s summons.

The real advantage of the elementalist over the necromancer is that it’s aoe abilities last way longer than that of the necromancer. Which mean that you can usually tag more mobs as an elementalist than as a necromancer.

I don’t give a kitten about DPS (I am perfectly happy with my killing speed) but additional healing? My life siphon Dagger Necro is laughing so hard. I barely lose HP. Also, for mob tagging, I have the Staff (full AoE with huge radius, #1 pierces, #2 with only 4 sec cd), 3 wells (more like 4 because all of my wells siphon and therefore deal some damage) + piercing / AoE shroud skills… If that is not enough for tagging, then you’re doing it wrong. Also, Necro has twice the Ele’s HP AND an extra HP bar in shroud. I geared my Necro tanky and I’m invincible. I don’t even use Reaper or minions.

Option to disable pet / minion / clone names (at least in PvE). The reason why I don’t play minion master is because I hate being surrounded by minion names, lol. I’m one of the people who disable every name in games. In real life you don’t run around with names above your head either… :P

I don’t agree with Toughness being useless in big events… My main is a full Knight (aka max toughness) Necro and I am basically immortal. When lots of people die at big events I am one of the handful people who stay alive, in fact, my HP rarely goes under 50% because I can siphon / heal / shroud constantly.

They were rewards for a specific ingame event, so unless Anet repeats this event, these wings should not come back.

I (obviously) didn’t mean that they should give the wings away for “free”, the event should be back and give other people a chance to get them, that’s all.

OH MY GOSH, SO IT’S NOT JUST ME WHO NOTICED THIS! XD I always play thinnest Norn girls with biggest and fattest head and sometimes it still feels too small, lol. It’s annoying. Edit: I also have my Sylvari main (female) with max head size and width, anything smaller than that just looks weird. The smallest head is the best for Asura.

I don’t see the point of “limited” items in video games. It’s just a bunch of pixels… I have that skin but I want it back because my friend would like to get it. I don’t even use it but she would wear it on every character. It’s unfair. The wings should at least come back once a year or something. What makes me mad is when people are so selfish they don’t want it back because they feel like they are special just for owning a bunch of pixels and other people don’t deserve to get them… It makes me sick.

Judging by AP makes no sense. A player who has 7k AP but quit in 2013 and recently came back to play is just as inexperienced as someone with 200 AP. Or there’s me for example, I don’t give a crap about achievements in any game, I only have 5600 AP but I’ve been playing GW2 since beta and I’m an experienced player. I want to punch everyone in the face who uses AP to judge people. I always start my own parties and type “ALL welcome except for elitists!”

I would like smaller, semi-transparent wings like those dragon ones from the old event. But the huge gem store wings are just clipping nightmares… Yuck.

I use Knight gear on my Power Necro. Years ago I tried Berserker gear but it felt uncomfortable to me and it ruined my skill rotation. Knight gear makes me invincible and my skills feel more fluid. I’m a mainoholic with one character but I would never wear Berserker gear on any class. I try my best to ignore elitists by starting my own parties and accepting non-meta players. I met the most fun people that way.

Out of all the classes I play, the one that has the least healing (at least for me) is the necromancer. Necromancers have high bulk and life force, but their raw healing power is actually pretty low.

That depends on many things. I play my own weird build: shroud-heavy life siphon dagger Necro in Knight gear and I am invincible. Not to mention the stun break, stability, condi cleanse on shroud + one extra condi cleanse every 3 sec in shroud. Yummy!

There is no “best” MMO. Every game has pros and cons. GW2 is a pretty decent game.

And why are we talking about BnS here? That auction loot system they have made me throw up. Not to mention, they have worse clipping issues than GW2. XD
