This. I don’t understand Anet’s obsession with long cooldowns. We don’t have many skills in this game and therefore no skill should have more than 15 sec cd. I always force myself to come up with weapon / build combos with low cooldowns for fast-paced combat. Long cd weapons make me sick.

Yes but I got a refund so Anet is awesome! I might re-buy it eventually when it becomes cheaper in the future, just for the sake of having it…

I’m afraid this is the case. Just like the Ghoul backpack with a mini pet. I want the backpack but I don’t like minis.

Weird, I can still find a CF map whenever I’m in the mood for it OR I can always start one, it fills up in a few minutes.

And I’m not familiar with the Labyrinth event but it’s not permanent and I’m not sure how “lazy” it is. CF is definitely a lazy way to farm gold, that’s what the OP needs. :P

Great post. I don’t want everything nerfed into the ground…..but I hope Anet can find a happy medium on the difficulty level. This game has always been geared more toward casual and less than hard core players…..so I am not surprised that they are adjusting things towards the majority of the player base.

If it is too easy for some obsessed hard core player…..there are plenty of other games out there that will have all the grind and toughness that could ever possibly be wanted by such obsessed game addicts.

While I do know some “higher skilled players”, most of these self proclaimed “higher skilled players”, especially those that point it out in their own posts……are nothing more than no lifers who can commit just about every waking hour to the game.

These so-called “higher skilled players” are the ones who ruin games. What if I told you that normal people just want to play for fun and not for power / skill? Stop ruining the game for people who just want fun. There’s enough group content in this game (fractals, dungeons, world bosses, meta events, raids soon), a huge part of the open world maps should stay soloable. I hope everything will get nerfed into the ground.

I agree. It’s a mess right now.

I actually prefer outfits because I only have to buy them once, I can wear them at lvl1, on any character, and don’t have to farm / buy Trans charges… If I could hide the shoulder part on outfits I would love them even more.

Just hit 2222 Gold today. I’m saving it for future Gem store stuff… I’m very picky, though… I don’t like lame wings and stuff like that. Still hoping for a TIGHT outfit and new hairstyles…

I moved to SFR earlier this year because I got sick of getting pwned by them and couldn’t lvl up in peace, lol. It was the best decision in my GW2 life, we mow down everything! I actually haven’t played since HoT (I don’t like it) but before that, SFR was still “the best” in EotM.

You can come to SFR by paying for the transfer with Gems (real money or Gold). OR you can choose a new home server for free if you delete all of your characters (you keep items in your bank, currencies and unlocks), this is what I did because I only had one character… :P

While an outfit is one single piece that they don’t have to worry about it clipping or matching with other armor pieces.

Ironically, most outfits still have clipping issues with arms / weapons / etc… :P This is why I only have the Ninja one, it looks nice on my Sylvari. Most outfits push my side weapons far from my body and they clip through my arms, it makes me sick…

I sent in a ticket yesterday, I hope they will answer soon. I bought the core game in 2014 so I hope I can keep it but get my money back for HoT…

Some people got their money back? For real? O.o Hm… I bought HoT months ago and it was Ultimate and I’ve spent some of the Gems. I wouldn’t care it if they took the gem store items away from me… I wonder if a refund is possible in my case or not?

Let me quote the official GW2 FAQ from 2012: “Most content will be designed in a solo-friendly way, though often with mechanisms for scaling up in difficulty when more players are involved. This will give players the option to experience the game however they prefer.”

How effective is Druid as a pure healer (Cleric gear)? I miss being a healer. I play 3 MMOs but none of them have dedicated healers.

I want offhand axe for Necro (pure power weapon, no conditions, good ranged AoEs, low cooldowns, AND axe main hand #1 should cleave and hit up to 3 mobs and it should add might like ranger’s axe AND useful party buffs as utilities).

I’m a mainoholic (rare species), I have one main at 80 and an alt at lvl 2 that carries my extra crap.

Well, that’s lame… I’d rather wait a year until the next sale than buy them for 1k each (because I’d only use them for dailies anyway). I’ve been sitting on my Gems since March so I’m good at resisting gem store stuff. :P I’ll only cry for a day and then get over it.

I farm SW often and I’d say it’s an average 10 gold/hour.
