Pretty much confirmed here, the features patch will be released 15.4.14.
Also, ties in with the hints given in the, ‘ready ups’ and why they are having 3 ‘ready ups’ in a row on Fridays to prep/give hints on what is in patch.

Actually, with the Auction Houses closed down permanently and loot 2.0 plus Reaper of Souls its pretty kitten good now. I think its far, far better than Diablo 2 was (sacrilege, burn him, heresy), well its not a MMO, its a great filler game for when GW2 lets you down. Its soooo kitten good when a set/legendary drops and you get that solid thud, green/gold light to heaven, better than any drop you ever have in GW2.
They have already said.
Apparently, its really hard to do from a technical point of view. It was designed from day 1 to be soulbound and changing it to account bound would cause technical difficulties that are very, very hard to overcome. They said they would continue to work on it but can’t provide a ETA…
There split into leagues so 9 servers per league…there’s no 10th place!

Yes, none of the other MMO’s suit me (ie…ESO, Wildstar or WoW).
•Will you play less?
How much I play depends on the quality of content. For example loved the first 3 living story updates since xmas and played GW2 loads. 4th update was really bad, so completed my achievements and played D3 loot 2.0 instead, didn’t log into GW2 for 2 weeks. So with me its about quality, rewards, character progression, quality and quality.
•Will you take a long break?
D3 reaper of souls is out on 25.3.14, going to play that to death, so probably a break from GW2 but I will play in the WvW tournament too, those mistforge weapon skins are good.
GW2 is crying out after 18 months for a expansion with meaty content for sPvP, PvE and WvW.
They need to build upon the 3 core game modes in GW2 and forget the living story rubbish. They have neglected the 3 core game modes by and large since launch day.

You have more than had your moneys worth…if you worked it out you probably payed Anet something like 10 cents an hour for your entertainment. Where else, other than computer games can you get that much entertainment value?
so to get 1 of those weapons how much WvW’ing would one have to do? how difficult to get one?
You after complete the WvW achievements and have 9 weeks to do so…
You don’t even need to go to the proper WvW maps, they have said you can complete all achievements in Edge of the Mists map, which is kinda half WvW, half PvE.
However, how many skins you get depends on how well your server does overall, it varies between 200 – 500 reward tickets, last – first place. 200 may get you 1 mistforge weapon skin with additional crafting, 500 2 mistforge weapon skins with some crafting. 1 mistforge weapon complete with no crafting is 300 tickets.
So its a long term project (grind), probably take 6-12 WvW tournaments to get all the skins.

I went back to diablo and saw that dev’s actually did listen to player request! And seriously the game is way better than it was.
Me and some friend went back to it. Gw2 is on rest for the moment.
Me too D3 Reaper of Souls is sooooo rewarding and the drops change your characters builds…Blizzard are slow but you do get quality and they LISTEN to there playerbase.

If you want gold you after go flip/trade stuff on the trading post or run some dungeons/world bosses/fractals. Then you spend it in WvW…

Nah…you either choose to compete with a brand new shiney game or not…
Anet have got it right…chill out a month or two, then release more free content for GW2. At that point the shine will have worn off the new game somewhat and the choice will be play GW2 for free whenever I want or pay $15/month for a inferior product.
Basically, GW2 should come out fighting in a month or so…no point now…

How do u ping btw…
I have been playing pvp for 12 months+ but have no idea how to ping a portion of the map…also how do you know when to go to the ping…I have sometimes gone to ping and been firmly told by my teammates to go back to bunkering a point…
I have also seen players pinging a map area, everyone rushes to help and it results in us losing the game…

Don’t worry about tomes of knowledge, they are going to drop from the new chests, both the new medium/large chests drop tome of knowledge. You won’t after pay glory or coin for those, just win PvP games.

Crafted as much as I can using up all my tokens, glory, trying to follow the Wiki before those new changes. I am left with:-

Lots of weapon tokens (used all the armour ones)

I could do more crafting but lack Arcane powder which appears to be the log jam, any way to get more without salvaging PvP equipment?
Also, what happens to the above rubbish I still have left over?

Apparently, ESO has a million pre-orders, so lots buying it initially…
I know a few players and asked them if they are going to pay $15 a month? They all said no or perhaps for a few months, none were interested in subscribing long term.
Most seem to be planning on playing it nearly 24/7 for a month or two, exhaust the majority of content and leaving. Basically, treating it as a bog standard computer game not a MMO. A lot are hoping it will eventually go free to play when they may or may not return.
Wildstar, I think may be more competition for GW2 and because NCsoft is behind that one, it may effect what GW2 releases around when it launches, ie GW2 may go abit quiet, not wanting to compete too much with new, shiney Wildstar.
Is it just me?

I play ‘the system’ with dishonourables, basically rule of thumb any team with 2+ Eles or 2 Mesmers leave before match starts.
Its called taking a ‘dishonourable’…
Heh don’t blame me. Blame the system Anet put in place and for not making a balanced PvP game…
Essentially kept track over a 100 games with 2 Ele’s+ and another 100 with 2 Mesmers+, found any such game resulted in a loss 90%+ of the time…

Because they are bad? What is this mentality “everybody wins even when they lose” then what the hell is the point of competition
They should still get a bonus even if there bad, lower than solo queue. Say 10 supply bags, 350 rank points and 100 glory. They should not be left out.
Your attitude is why so few players play sPvP.

Dadiris before you get too far into the game, if you delete all your characters you transfer server for free, something to consider.
Desolation is a good PvE/Living Story server.
Really? Who cares?
We live in Europe/Americas if the Chinese put up with that rubbish, there problem.
If they try any of that over here they will have near 0 players, they know that.

Well your probably too late now to get halo or horns skin by collecting heirlooms.
Also this entire Battle for Lions Arch is a bad patch, really annoying.
So to be honest, if I were you I would go to sPvP and play as much solo/team queue over the weekend.
Why you ask?
Because they have improved the rewards over this weekend, you get:-
Solo queue 20 supply bags, 1200 rank points and 300 glory .
Team queue is 40 supply bags, 1700 rank points and more glory.
The supply bags can contain mini magnus, 4+ different endless quaggen tonic + other nice loot.
You can also spend the glory on skins/20 slot bags other stuff.
Probably the most rewarding activity you can do in Gw2 this weekend by far, play solo or team queue. Don’t worry about losing too much, chances are in solo queue you will end up with a 50% win rate…

For about 6 months now Anet have choosen to make content harder to do, requiring considerable group co-ordination and that group can be 100+ players.

Knights/Hologram
Obviously this is the way things are going to be from now on.
If your server or you as a player can’t handle this you need to rethink your options. Move server if that’s the problem or join a big guild or improve yourself as a player.
If you can’t or are unwilling to do those steps perhaps GW2 is not for you?

Great 2 weeks into a WvW 9 week tournament we are going to after re-equip all our WvW characters. That will shake thing up abit…commence the QQ’ing now (in the WvW section of the forum).
It should be 750 rank pt and 150 glory pt bonus. That was my impression, they said they would post more deets later.
In addition to +40 supply bags for winning a team game, sweet…
About time sPvP made up some ground as far as rewards go…getting basically nothing for playing PvP vs the rest of the game was such a bad idea. No wonder the sPvP population nearly became extinct…
I would really, really hate any game mode that changes my weapon skills to other weapon skills…
A lot of mini games do that and its just soooo annoying…which is why I avoid most mini games. The very worst ones are like that crab mini game where you get 1 set of skills running around and when you pick whatever it is your meant to be picking up your skills change again…not fun at all.
After 20 months of WvWing, What did you learn

I really, really love castles/keeps/towers/siege. Such a great battleground. I always suspected but WvW really confirmed that.
Also, whenever it comes to something important Vizunah Square will ALWAYS, ALWAYS beat Seafarers Rest.
No offense to the OP, its good he is showing combos in action…
But what I took from the vids were:-
1) Well your messing around trying to get your combos off, you opponents just cap the point, well downing/killing you. Hence they were winning all the time.
2) Staff Eles die/get downed a awful lot, to the slightest thing.
3) Even when you get the combos off, your damage is nothing special.
4) The only reason you survive at all really is down to your movement, good placement in a battle and heavy reliance on your dodge which every other class can do too.
5) Your having to work 4 times as hard as other character classes and your still fairly poor compared to them.
6) Most important, don’t play a Ele EVER.
But you know, well done for trying…

WIll the balance/features patch be released during the 9 week WvW season. It will change everyones skills/builds…
From what ive seen both Deso and Piken are tanking. Deso tanked the last season to win as well.
I understand Piken preferring to be in silver league, they will have a bad time of it in gold.
But Deso, is a real disappointment they tanked into silver league for the 1st season to win it. Deso is a server with by far the most Europeon players in the top tiers of sPvP and also was the 1st to kill the 3 headed wurm in the world. They have loads of excellent players. If they tried they could easily get 3rd in gold league.
Very disappointing to see Deso not up to the challenge of Europeon gold league in the 2nd season.

I would have no problem at all with a expansion being sold via the gemstore.
It would only be like selling a expansion via digital download really. So what would be the problem.
Fact is I just want a proper expansion, with new explorable zones, perhaps 2+ new character class, new dynamic events (preferably chains that tell a good well put together story, that you don’t after wait 16 months to be disappointed with), new spvp content and some new stuff for WvW.
I wish they would just concentrate on building upon the original world of Tyria and how the game was at release, rather than this living story nonsense.
I would instantly buy gems with real $$$ to get a expansion. No questions asked.
If they ever do release a expansion probably best selling it in 3 ways:-
A bundle, original GW2+expansion. For new players.
Expansion on its own. For players who already own GW2.
Optionally they could have it purchased via gems but that would mean players with a lot of gold getting it free and the gold to gem conversion rate would probably end 1 for 1 or worse.

A few weeks ago someone mentioned a ‘official’ survey by Anet in the general discussion forum, even said they got some free gems for filling it out.
Seems to be to select individuals, don’t know what the criteria is to get a survey.
