The rarely spotted engineer…
Its a novelty now seeing one in game…
Don’t go for MF its terrible, went from 0% MF to 200% MF, it made virtually zero difference to drops, either MF is bugged or the increase is so minute its totally pointless…
Your better off killing stuff faster and getting more drops than MF…
Well Orr now is far better than it used to be, density is much less…
Its a dismal, dreary, depressing and dank place, perfect for undead really…
Frostforge Gorge is far better, just a shame its only 1 zone and not 2 or 3…
I agree undead have been done to death in computer games, in every rpg I have ever played theres been hordes of undead…can’t think of one that doesn’t have them…
The reason LB draws hate is because the 1 skill is so poor compared to SB, it feels slow and seems to do less damage given targets are always short to medium range…
However, the other 4 skills on LB are very useful in my opinion, the 5 skill is especially good because its AoE which kills faster, tags more targets so gets you more loot.
I use SB in PvP because you have alot of close combat 1vs1 or small group vs small group, so its better because of speed/damage it does.
However, in WvW I prefer LB because the 5 skill is great on zergs, especially if you follow it with quickness, less effective now with the recent nerf of course…
Climbing a hill, getting to the top and seeing the world before you, especially at dawn or dusk over a large body of water, with a floating castle in the distance…
Are you in Europe or America or other and which server are you on…
Also posting this in operation union would be better…
I would say hardcore are those players who average 6+hours playing per day…
I consider myself casual, play 1-4 hrs average per day…
Game Over
I would just have this as a April only yearly event.
Really, its new and shiney now but by the end of the month the majority will have had enough of it…
I personally did all my 8 bit gaming in the last century…the 20th, the 80’s decade more specifically…it was a blast at the time but 21st century gaming is literally 1,000’s of times better…

+1
The right side of the screen is far too cluttered, I just want the option to clear that away.
At the moment you can have everything or nothing and I don’t like either…
The way its going at the moment, I will need to scroll down down to see all this annoying junk…
(edited by Meglobob.8620)
Based on how packed my server is ,Seafarers Rest (far, far too many people to be honest) I would say its doing great.
It would not surprise me if they have made far, far more money from the gem store than they expected/projected when launched…
Mine so far was halloweon, Mad Kings dungeon, labyrinth and the clocktower…oh and those awful jokes…
Done Maw last 3 days, had 8 rares, 3 from daily chest, 5 from the normal chest you loot.
Thanks to those nice folks at Anet for implementing this, I have noticed the last few months they do listen to there playing community and if they can make a change they do…obviously never going to please everybody…
I expected to see WvW and Jumping Puzzles in this months monthly because WvW had its biggest update since launch, so a really good time to do WvW (its easy, give it a go) and obviously with the Super Adventure Box, Jumping Puzzles is a no brainer too.
Personally, probably accidently do them all, except the Fractual Frequenter, by the end of the month…
You can play infantile mode solo, no group needed…
I have just recently gone from 0% MF to 128% —→ 143% (got that weapon sigil that gives 0.6% per kill, 15% total) and I see no difference whatsoever…if anything I am getting more white equipment drops if anything…
It wouldn’t surprise me if MF is bugged…remember loot was bugged for 6 months until they looked into it and fixed it…also GW2 is very well known for having loads of bugs…
Entertainment for me.
Computer games are far more entertaining in my personal opinion than any other form of entertainment except one and that one exception can’t be talked about but is a 3 letter word…
There has been loads of polls on % of players who play PvE & PvP & WvW, they all fairly consistantly show :
PvE only 40%
WvW only 30%
PvP only 10%
2 out of 3 or 3 out of 3 20%
Also the low PvP figure reflects my experience of other games with PvP in them, its always 10% to 20% of the player population who mainly do it, but they are a very vocal minority…its why games developers find it hard to justify spending loads of game resources on it.
My answer for GW2, would be introduce more PvE rewards for PvP and you will get more people doing PvP.
Perhaps one of the reasons more people do WvW is you can kit your character out in exotic armour/weapons which you can use in PvE?
No you only get the 12 box / bonfire drops 1st time you do it.
Usually get at least 1 rare equipment drop doing them, yellow(rare) molton salvage drops and heavy ritual bags got about a dozen of those last time I went though both Rox/Bram, those contain T6 crafting stuff.
But, to be honest it gets boring repeating it after a while and I am not sure the rewards are worth the grind…having done both 3 times each now…not like the Mad Kings Dungeon or the Lybrinth which were far better to do daily…
Should have given you a chance of a ultra rare drop like the choir bell at christmas or something…really…
Looking at the prices on the TP, you could get 1g-2g + 4,000 karma depending on luck running both Rox/Bram each day on a lvl 80 with no MF. It takes me 30-45mins solo…

Is the super adventure thing real or is it this years April Fool’s joke?
Loads of people are saying its a April Fool’s joke, so the continue coins useless?
Or is there a real new jumping puzzle to come…I am confused…?!?
Yes it is just a joke, that’s why they created skins you can already see ingame. kitten some people just need to use their brains once in a while.
@OP: Entitlement issues?
Where ingame are the new skins?
Also, in March 26th patch notes, no reference to this at all?

@Wolfheart
Played WvW for 3-4 hours last night, honestly had no skill delay at all and I was in plenty of zergs…followed a couple of different commanders around…but we ended leaderless with no one as commander…so formed a small group and turned over supply camps, enemy dolyaks…generally raiding…never any skill button delay…
I know skill button delay when I experience it too, I have had it ALL the time at the World Events in PVE over the last month due to guesting…
Honestly there where loads of time when my screen was literally full of red and no skill delay…
Why I am getting no skill delay and you are I have no idea…

I did the Maw yesterday on Seafarers Rest.
I had to ‘kick it off’ by killing the grawl in the cave just to the south, started right away then.
But, if Anet read this I want to register that I want them to restore the Maw to doable every half an hour, with rewards account bound to once a day, there was no need to extend timer.
Loads of people loved doing the Maw, also lower levels, new players really liked it as well…so reconsider on this change please, pretty please with bells on top?
Well my relationship with GW2 is love/hate…but as its been my number 1 game since it was released, it must be more love…
I would say since release, my attitude has been 95% to 70% love and 5% to 30% hate…
Its a huge game through and so far I have found anything ingame you hate for example you can avoid doing and just pretend it don’t exist…1 example is dungeons for instance…
Honestly playing, 95% playing, 5% forums.
Also, only 5% forums because I can ‘sneak’ reading, posting on the forums well at work but have not yet figured out how to play games at work without being fired…lol
I can confirm if you haven’t done your PvP monthly yet and do it before 1st of April, you get +10 laurels.
Did the monthly last night, took 4 hours.
Hardest bit is the 3 tournement wins, best off jumping in there straight away and getting them, then switch to the easier play now mode and sooner or later job done…you may die often and get called names by your team mates but water off a ducks back to me…
No it isn’t cause I did the PvP monthly last night and got +10 laurels, so cause it involves me its not exploiting…lol
Also, its actually a good incentive to get some people to try PvP out who normally would never even play it, quite enjoyed myself getting the PvP monthly last night…
Plus, my internet exchange went down for a week a couple of weeks ago so I lost out on 7 laurels then, so the +10 now is just the balance of life restoring itself in my favour…
Finally got into WvW last night, unable to get in since patch, on Seafarers Rest, viaing for nimber 1 Europeon WvW sever, so its very, very popular.
But, it was awesome compared to how it used to be, seeing hordes, upon hordes of enemy players charging towards you.
I don’t have the best pc in the world but I had no lag, none at all and there were 100’s of players all around.
Fantastic, great, ANet, a job very well done, a very big thanks from me.
Yeah, I agree before last months ‘improvements’ to AC I could get a pug group in less than 5 mins, now no one wants to know…
People have voted with there feet…
I think it would good of Anet to perhaps consider doing u turn and putting it back to at least partially to how it was before.
I was not rushing. I wanted to take it slow. Nevertheless, it took only 2 hours, I was just curious on the story. Only there was not much story. Only the introduction of two new characters.
Do you do the mysterious objects?
You get 12(I think) interesting snippets of info that might be relevant to the final part 4 of Flame & Frost…
You can replay the Rox/Bram instances 1 per day per account and get the rewards…so thats 8,000 karma, 20 silver, 2 chances at rare event reward, plus combat drops…each day…
Those 2 instances are only going to be around for a month I believe…
I quite enjoyed this months living story and the rewards make it a nice bonus…
Yeah…I love little details like this…in the instances/stories we do…
Yes, it is.
You can get a replacement one from the npc you got the original from…
So you hoarders have zero excuse to use right click destroy…
Oh thanks for the info, I will try to do the PvP monthly in the next 3 days…eek…
What about next month?
If I do both monthlys will I get 20 laurels or restricted to 10 still…
It seems a good way of getting more people to do PvP…
Can you get 20 laurels by doing both monthlies?
I don’t do the PvP monthly personally, but if I get 10 extra laurels out of it, I will give it a go in the future…
Basically, I am a laurel kitten…lol
Out of those classes you listed, Guardian/Warriors are the best all round…
On a other thread, a Anet content designer said 2 hours, on par with othe world events…sad day, another sad nerf…
Loads of nerfs…
This is a very sad nerf…
Maw was by far my favourite world event…because it triggered virtually every half-an-hour, so was very easy for busy WORKING people, with LIMITED free time to do once a day…
One thing I wonder, is the Age restriction on GW2 is 12 yrs old, yet the game clearly encourages gambling…
Also, its not virtual money…because you buy gems with real life currency…so its gambling with real money…
I wonder how many politicans in government of whatever countries know this is happening and would they be interested?
I certainly could see the age limit being raised to 18+ at the very least…
Just to make it clear to everyone what the quickness nerf means in PVE.
If you killed a foe in 30 secs before using quickness, you will now kill the same foe in under 1 minute instead…
The quickness nerf basically slows play down…by slowing play down this reduces the loot you get from monster drops by just under half…
So when using quickness a hours play before the patch, needs 1 hr 45min play now to achieve the same effect…
Anet’s defination of trivialising content is your killing stuff too fast…
you have a quickness uptime of 100%?
srsly, this threat shows once again that forums shouldnt be taken seriously. what total bullkitten some of you are posting is beyond ridiculous.
and just to clarify: warriors got hit way harder with the quickness nerf than rangers, so you can stop whining about warr buffs and ranger nerfs …
Obviously you don’t have quickness up a 100% of the time, my point refers to only when you would have quickness up, I was kinda hoping anyone reading this would have sufficent brain cells to understand that…
Your kill rate when quickness is on cooldown is the same as pre patch…happy now?
Software developers nerf because its far easier than improving…
You have 1 skill percieved as too powerful 9 others as normal…
Are you going to take the time to boost 9 or nerf 1?
They always nerf 1…
BUT
They get into a nerfing mindset and before you know it dozens of things are nerfed, like whats happening now in GW2 and then you wonder why player numbers have gone down so much…
Nerfing is by defination a negative action and negative actions create a equal and opposite negative reaction sooner or later…
Just to make it clear to everyone what the quickness nerf means in PVE.

Current price is 5 keys for 450 gems, so 3600 gems. That’s $45 I think.
To put it in perspective, that would buy you a whole expansion in WoW, or 3 months of game time.
I think the prices are absolutely ridiculous to say the least. You can feed your family for 45$ for a few days honestly.I will never..ever..ever spend this kind of money on something as stupid as a ingame Key to open a chest that will grant you absolutely nothing of importance in return.Thank god were not being forced to buy this stuff though
I agree…
Just to keep it to gaming, you could buy 3-9 full games on steam for example, that would give you 1000’s of hours of entertainment and require no further cash outlay…
Anyone buying gems at this cost is either rich (so doesn’t care), totally addicted to GW2 (so doesn’t care) or just pain stupid (doesn’t know any better)…
Now there’s idea for a good ingame item, a full length mirror, it shows you exactly, titles/stars everything how other players see your character ingame…
New event item or sell it from gem shop…
Rebind your dodge double tap is rubbish…I have mine on the 3rd mouse button, you then dodge all the time instantly well moving around…you will die far less.
Its a good idea to rebind all your skills…it can take some time before your completely happy though…
First of all I wecome new WvW content…it will make me play WvW alot more…expect hours long wait to get into WvW after the patch…also even more lag in huge blob battles…
I also like new skills and because its skill based then it has to be individual character based doesn’t it? Otherwise why bother with 8 different character classes…just have one generic class…which would be boring as hell…
I have all 8 different classes and to be honest, I want each one to be individual and different so I get more variety when playing…
But, really until the patch and we all get to see what’s, what this entire thread is personal uninformed opinion…otherwise known as idle gossip…
(edited by Meglobob.8620)
Really, horaders stop…
Learn to use right click destroy…
Ghost locater destroyed…plus anything else not sellable/salvageable, never missed anything I destroyed…
Anet make up new currency/items for every new piece of content…so no need to hoard ever…
I even destroy below level gathering tools, black lion chests, quicker to destroy them, then sell on TP for 3b…
All that junk and managing it is slowing you down…
I do the same in real life btw except its right click…give to charity shop or recycle or bin depending on the condition/item…
No clutter in my life…
From reading it, I am hoping this is a patch I like, disliked the last one, Feb.
I do usually like Anets monthly patches, only Feb and Lost Shores ones that I really hated…
It looks mainly to be living story and WvW which gets a big thumbs up from me, currently looking forward to it and keeping my fingers/toes crossed no nasty surprises that Anet spring on us from time to time…
Yes, I would love a completely underwater map.
I have always loved underwater combat, its a lot easier than land combat.
I know some people hate underwater but I have never personally understood why? The only big differences are you have completely 360 degree movement, you can swim to the surface to gain health and you can’t fall from a great height and die. Oh, and the best no stupid jumping puzzles or terrain you got to jump over…
