Really, retaliation is far better than regeneration, I would stick with the light combo…
I hope they are working on a expansion and its a complete new continent.
If it is a new continent would there be 1 to 79 lvl zones?
I am not so sure 1-79 lvl zones would be worth doing…perhaps better to do a continent which is ALL 80th level or perhaps 60-80th level…
I would like to see 2 new classes in a expansion, 1 more heavy and 1 more unique, can wear all 3 types of armour but skills change depending on armour type?!?
2 JP’s per zone at least, some new dungeons if you must (but TRY to make them fun), WvW goodies, some PvP love and a few surprises/shocks…

I after say, fighting vs Jade & Kodash is ALOT more fun than Tier 1…
A lot less lag, no real queues and some good fun battles, especially more open area battles…
Hope, we can just hang around in this tier for awhile…

Dungeons are officially the worst part of GW2…
I love every other part of the game but dungeons…urgh…
Anet to be fair did start a revamp of dungeons and AC got the ‘revamp’, it lost around 80% of the players who used to run it…going from one of the most popular to do…to 2nd or 3rd most unpopular…so that was a bust…
Anet can do good dungeons, the molten forge was good, the mad kings dungeon was good…
I would have every story dungeon on a par with those…
Path 1, 50% more difficult…
Path 2, 200% more difficult…
Path 3, 500 to 1000% more difficult…
You would have something for everyone then…
Loot wise, all have the same drops BUT for the most rare stuff…
Story 1 in 10000
Path 1, 1 in 5000
Path 2, 1 in 2000
Path 3 1 in 500
At least it would be a clear system, now there is no rhyme, nor reason to the current GW2 dungeon system…
The only reason anyone would quit over stealth is because they constantly get killed by thieves (a.k.a ASSASSINs)…
Stealth is NOT the problem, its the speed that a thief inflicts the damage that’s the problem…a thief can take someone from 25,000 health to less than 5,000 just like that (snaps fingers)…at that point any skilful thief is not going to lose in a 1v1…just to add insult to injury when you enter your downed state they can stealth and finish you off with impunity, because you can’t target the thief…
So in short anyone attacked in 1v1 with a thief has a very, very small time when your on 5000 health or less to 0 health off mounting a defense, majority of the time your dead…
I would make 1 change to thieves, make the damage they do with there most devastating attacks take longer…so the victim has more chance to defend/fight back…
How does the current loot system work?
It gives you millions of whites, blues, greens and anything else you have got loads of but don’t need anymore, while giving you nothing useful…
So working 100% correctly…
So minority should be ignored and Arena Net should only cater to the majority?
Should Arena Net show the middle finger to the players who don’t earn them the most money?
If by minority players you mean those who want a harder game, well those probably are hardcore players and I suspect 99.99% of those don’t buy any gems with real $$$ because they earn more than enough gold to just trade for gems and buy anything they want…
Its far more likely that its casuals who chuck money at the gem store really…because they have no time to grind gold 4-8 hrs aday…
Well 2-3 hours is a no no right there…I have plenty of half an hour to a hour an half slots to play but rarely 2-3 hours. So anything needing 2-3 hours, I would attempt 1 or 2 times per month at most…
Also, Anet version of hard content is spam abilities at you that put your skills on permenant cooldown, bosses with millions of hps that cause you to fall asleep and force you to run a very, very specific narrow build…
So the ‘hard’ content lacks any fun elements at all really…
I have to ask what you’re doing wrong then Meglo. I have over 2K kill in WvW and I’ve died less than 100 times.

My equipment’s the best possible, all ascended accessories, all exotic weapons / armour, run the best builds for a ranger, best sigils/runes.
In PvP the same character wins above 70%+ of all PvP games played both tournements/hot join…
I am on tier 1 Europe, Seafarers Rest and its pretty brutal, we are constantly outnumbered 3 vs 1 by Viz…often our 30 strong zerg gets overrun by 100 viz…
When roaming, I only die to thiefs or when really outnumbered…
I have played a ranger a lot in WvW, do zergs and roaming with a party/solo…they are okay/middle of the road I would say…
Guardians, Warriors, Mesmers are overall better(at everything)…
A Thief is the best roamer solo/in a party…
A Elementalist is best for getting the most loot…
Necro’s/Engineers are with Rangers middle of the road…
My Ranger has got over 2,000 player kills in WvW and died about 800 times getting them…which isn’t great really…

I would like to see this as a permanent feature, the ability to reset Wxp abilities, just like we can with traits…so we can modify our build in WvW just like we can modify our traits.
I am okay if it has a similar cost to reseting traits, perhaps with the ability to pay with badges of honour, as well as gold because its WvW…

Yeah this is a brilliant idea Fractals are completely perfect for storing past content that would otherwise disappear forever…
It will add a lot of variety to Fractals as well over time…
I believe some of the developers have already noted this idea and are ‘considering it’, anyone who reads this topic +1 it!
Engineers win the award for most messed up class…that needs a complete revision…
They have some nice stuff…grenade/bomb kits which are effective and the flamethrower which is just cool to use…but otherwise they are messed up…turrets are only good for defending a point…no use at all in mobile offense which is 90% of the game…
Watching the SOTG video, when engineers got mentioned even the developers seemed to be shaking there heads and at a loss of what to do with them…I get the feeling if they could go back in time delete engineers from the game and replace them with another class…they would…
Your better off buying rare greatswords off the TP and throwing them in, sell the exotics you get out to offset the costs…also offset the cost by using karma to buy Orrian boxes from Orr…
The mystic toilet leaves most users a lot poorer than when they started just like Vegas…
Mesmer & Guardian & Warrior all fit your requirments perfectly…
I think its the AC dungeon your after (check the vendors in LA), also take a quick trip to WvW and check out the vendors there, I think the karma vendor only does rares however…

Mesmers, along with Guardians are probably the most balanced—->strong classes without being OP.
The developers can really leave those 2 classes alone and concentrate on some of the others that REALLY need some attention…
The zones 15-70 with no world event are sparsely populated, this is because the majority of people are 80th level, so doing 80th level activities…if they want to chill out or play with friends they just go to a starter zone…why travel further…it costs more for no real benefit?
Only people levelling alts or new players go to those zones now really…
The only hope for them is the living story passes through those zones at some point in the future, breathing new life into them…
Alot more people went to Wayfarer Hills/Diessa Platea because of the living story and Southsun Cove will get a large increase after the next update hopefully…
Personally, I would have done it differently and tried to give each zone in the game 1 unique feature to attract players there…then once every zone had 1 unique feature that I was happy with, I would have aimed at 2 etc and thus built the zones up…
The stealth and built in teleportation abilitys the thief has, wouldn’t bother me in the slightest, if it didn’t also have the ability to do the highest burst damage in the shortest space of time…
1v1 the thief aka assassin owns every other class…
The only people who defend thiefs main one and there are ALOT of players who main thieves…
Its because a thief is really a assassin in GW2, they purposely designed it to be able to kill any of the other 7 classes in a 1v1 situation no problem…
I like ‘fishing’ in Torchlight 2…dynamite the sucker and collect the rewards…
Oh well, that’s a relief, fingers & toes crossed we get to do the same events…

Probably not. Anets always offered rewards exclusive to their unique yearly events that never return a 2nd time. Highly doubt they’ll change that custom but who knows.

I was hoping when halloweon/wintersday comes around again, we would get all the same events to do, with perhaps a little additional stuff…
I really, really would like to do the Mad Kings dungeon, labyrinth, choir bells and pvp mini games again…last time there were some events I never really got a chance to do…

I like :-
1) WvW, this is my favourite part of GW2 and is very dynamic, constantly changing battlefield which keeps me interested, been getting some regular recent updates which is great.
2) Chill’in in PvE (open world), I still like wondering the world with friends or just helping out here and there. I do this when I get tired of dieing in WvW or PvP.
3) PvP, battling others on a smaller scale is fun and its great for playing about with different builds because it doesn’t cost any gold…
Beyond that I pretty much like every part of GW2, JP’s, min-games etc…with 1 exception Dungeons…
I will exclude the Molten Foundry dungeon and the Mad KIngs dungeon, both of which I loved.
However, the rest of the dungeons, designed and implemented by the dungeon team I personally find pretty awful…
I have given them a fair chance, done about 30+ runs, trying to like them but I don’t…
They use to many cheesy mechanics, like swaming you with hordes of small critters that do huge damage, bosses with way, way too many hps, skills designed to lock down players giving them no chance of fighting back such as constant stun/knock back, immobalise and also your foes just being plain invulnerable. Also, for dungeons you after pretty much lock yourself into a specific build type to be successful, which means your character can only really do dungeons effectively or your forced to keep forking out money all the time changing your build. Finally, the rewards are just not worth it, at all…

I would really like to see more DE’s added to the game…
One of the most popular phrases in chat is…events? any events? for the love of god give me a kittening event…
Need to avoid them clashing and bugging out but more DE’s in zones would be fantastic…
I have crossed an entire zone loads of times and not 1 DE…

I’ll surely hop into the game later today, and since my old Reddit guild dropped me I’ll be looking for another big community-oriented guild. But please no crazy “gotta interview you over the phone and ask you questions about your raiding schedule” kinda guilds hehe
To be honest, don’t take any forum responses seriously, including this one. They’re pretty much one sided. Those who don’t like the game generally are on the forums complaining about it. Those who like the game generally are playing it and don’t bother responding on the forums.
Just take note of people’s thoughts on the forum and try it out in game. It may be better/worse than stated.
100% agree with you on this. I learned the hard way of ignoring trolls and QQers on game forums.
90% of forums user seem to be QQers and the other 10% are people in their offices working and waiting for the evening to finally hop into the game (like me). hehe
Ha ha, funny you should say that, I am at work right now but did everything ages ago so I am amusing myself on the forums trying to look busy (don’t want another job close to home time…)…roll on 5 o’clock…
I think everything they look into…will be addressed at some point…there track records pretty good actually…they do listen to there player base…
…it just takes TIME…often the solution to a problem is not as easy as some people think…

Yeah ascended turned out to be a big fuss over nothing…really
Lots of new things have been added, far too much to list, look through the patch notes going backwards…
Also, there has been loads of temporary content that’s been and gone, which you have forever missed out on…bad luck…the developers seem to plan on having constant new temporary content which will only be around 2 weeks to a month, so you need to keep up with current news to keep up…
Overall the games as good as was at release…perhaps a little better…
I agree 100% that there should be a counter to stealth…the thiefs (assassin really…) duo of highest/quickest burst damage, plus stealth is way, way OP…
Go to WvW there is a karma vendor there who will supply all armour and all weapons for just karma…there is no requirement to do any WvW and its located in the starting area where your invulnerable to damage and protected by legendary protectors who will one shot any enemy long before they get any where near you…
Runes/sigils, the majority only cost 4s each tops…you can put in the lower level ones if you want until you save up…just what have you been doing with the cash from your dailys/monthlys anyway?
Go play another game or 2, besides GW2, I play 4 other games, I never suffer from burnout because if I tire of one I just switch…
MMO’s are just one type of game, this myth that you are supposed to play them continuously for years is just that a MYTH…
Just tune back in for the monthly updates…

Sadly I have and yes, mostly it is and while I find it somewhat fun on my 48 Ranger in Gendarren because I can do that, if I switched to my 80’s, I’d just feel like a bully ;P

I would be very, very careful of what you wish for, because when Anet make it harder, you will end up being 1 shotted by low level foes…then you will be moaning about how insanely difficult it is…
When Anet choose to make something harder/more testing they either x the damge by a 100 or give it skills such as mass stun/knockdown, basically anything that stops you using any of your skills…

Lots of people are:
1) In WvW.
2) In Fractals.
3) In one of the many dungeons, including the new one which disappears on the 12th May.
4) Hanging around LA…chillin…
5) Just doing world events according to there timers.
6) In PvP.
In zones level 16 to 70’ish the population is fairly thin on any server, unless there is something special going on…guild mission, or world event or desirable drop from a particular beasty…

What % MF would I need to get glacial lodestones off ice elementals/ice imps and molten lodestones off fire elementals/fire imps (if fire imps exist…not so sure?), assume I just want 1 per hour?
I have had 140% MF and 10 hours later plus 1200 dead ice elementals/ice imps later, still no glacial lodestones…
Making gold can be difficult…
Getting a 80th level character with all rares is very, very easy (hint cost 0 gold to do…)
Getting a 80th level character with all exotics is hard but still costs 0 gold to do…
Want ascended with your exotics, just do dailys/monthlies, full ascended in time…still costs no gold…
Really you don’t need gold at all, in this game gold is used to buy gems or to buy rare rng items off the TP (like jetpack, endless potions, minis, rare dyes etc…)…
There is also a greater chance of Viz being matched up with a server that can give them a decent fight…
Point is, there isn’t any.
Due to superior coverage and numbers, and a wvw heavily unbalanced in favouring PvDooring at night and bunkering during prime time as best point scoring system, VS can’t be matched by any EU server.
And the only oe who was managing to counter VS (with a different tactic tho), SFR, got bombed by Anet.
Sad state for EU ladder, but again, i’m only listing facts.
Actually, no one knows if another server/s could match Viz because Viz has not fought anyone other than sfr & des for a long time…
Two servers with populations more equal to Viz might be able to compete…both sfr & des are currently outnumbered 3 to 1…
Of course 3 high population servers together would create a awfully long queue to actually play WvW, and zergs almighty…

No. Your health goes up and down depending on the time of week and how well your server is doing in WvW.
Your health will be at its lowest right after the WvW reset. It should get higher as the week progresses.

I think there’s a really simple fix to the tiers, at reset have completely random matchups…that simple…
You will have one sided match ups but you have that now and you will know any onesided matchups will only last a week…rather than being stuck in your matchup forever…
There is also a greater chance of Viz being matched up with a server that can give them a decent fight…
Really, completely random weekly matchups will rejuvenate WvW across all tiers and for all WvW players…also no need to change the leaderboard…just continue scoring as normal…such a easy change…
I got one, mainly for the effects…should have been account bound only, developers being greedy for $$$ is the only reason for making it soulbound…

No one cares about the fight anymore if you’re not on a top tier server.
Well, I am in a top tier (Europe) and no one cares about that anymore because Viz completely dominate it!
We can’t even move down a tier because they don’t want to be in tier 1 either because they don’t want to fight Viz…
Need completely random matches every reset to make it more fun…

Warriors are massively overpowered in PVE. There are some classes that are massively underpowered in comparison.
