Earthshaker is heavily telegraphed. If you can’t dodge, blame you’re subpar reaction time. As for skullcrack, you can always tell it’s coming when the warrior switches to the mace shield. pommel bash, into shield stun into skullcracker. if you’re not a dummy you’ll break it right after skull crack so that he will have wasted most of the stuns in the rotation. Or grab some defensive food, try melandru runes in a second set. I admit the current stun in 100b is cheesy, but there are more people here crying about it, rather than going out and practicing like alot of other people are and improving.

I guarantee that the meta will still be alive and kicking after sigil of para nerf and the skullcrack nerf, and people will continue to whine, and whine, and whine because they never tried to practice.

Guys, come on, it’s been like 2 weeks since they left. Put on your big boy pants and accept it. Pros, you don’t honestly have to explain anything to anyone, and that goes out to Myro as well. It’s just giving them more of a reason to hate you. It was fun running with you guys, but you both made your decisions, and that’s that.

So….. what can we do to make this thread more interesting?

Taking away our only good cleanse not on a stupidly long CD will not fix our class. Ugh, every game I play, people always whine about Warriors. First it was WoW, then it was RIFT, TERA… I don’t understand people. I honestly don’t see anything wrong with our class save the bugged Para sigil that rounds to the nearest second. The old Discipline Bonus sucked, seriously 3% more burst damage…?

Skullcrack + 100swag has been alive for quite along time, but it took a bugged sigil to make it viable? Really, I call BS. Mace + Shield/ Hammer has also been around along with unsuspecting foe. Healing siggy is fine the way it is. The problem is that when people fight a Warrior they would rather sit and play defensively rather than taking the initiative and putting immediate pressure on him/her. If you play in a way that’s not aggressive you won’t beat a warrior. I have fought many opponents, who know what the meaning of pressure is, and healing sig and my hammer stuns aren’t gonna make up for it. Necromancers, Mesmers, Thieves, hell even rangers, Guardians can even cut through my hp like butter with the right combination of moves.

Let me say it again: PRESSURE. The Warrior will do everything he can to pressure you, if you don’t counter pressure and make him pop his defensives he will eat you alive every single time.

Sigil of Para needs to be fixed firstly. After that I hope the devs can think of something that will silence the cries for nerfs without being over-the-top. That’s all I wanted to say.

To the thief Major from ADHD, it’s not very manly to run away after getting spanked by me in a 1v1, only to come back with like 3 or more people stay and die like a man next time

Morning WvWvW peeps. Let’s get the ball rolling after breakfast.

Well I haven’t been able to stay up too late on the weekends like I usually could… maybe I’m getting too old for the late night gaming… ah well, night peeps.

I honestly don’t know what the hubbub is about. I think S/D thieves out of all thieves are in a pretty good spot. They aren’t weak, but they aren’t WTF OP either. out of all the sets, this one is pretty balanced, and I feel the shave to LS is uncalled for.

Only saw one party for CoF. I am surprised honestly.

In the end, it’s not the players fault. We chose the most efficient gear for dungeons, some people caught on, others said “F” that gonna do my own thing, and everyone else, like me, is sorta just lounging around the middle. The game’s PvE has no need for extra healing in a dungeon, or CC, Conditions of any sort… Just damage.

I’m not siding with the Zerker or GTFO crowd. The attitude is sort of snobby, yes, but if the content actually required us to bring our characters full potential out instead of stacking muscles on top muscles we wouldn’t be having this conversation. In the end, all of this is up to ANET to change. If they don’t feel like doing something about the zerker meta, well all we can do is adapt to it, and eventually the whining will stop. I hope they change the way their PvE works, because I have only ever done 3 dungeons, because I don’t like the zerker meta. So I scrounge up money for whatever exotic gear and runes that I like on the TP. I’m broke, and my gear sucks compared to most (Zerker gear with mixed runes, and cavalier trinkets with emerald crystals), but I’m happy, and it’s good enough for me. /shrug

We might be pretty even, SE and Abys left and they were our main fighting force during the day, and we are garbo at night. might be somewhat interesting.

Like I said, I wanted GoM to come play and Balthazar answered my prayers. muahaha.

Wait… what? This couldn’t be more inaccurate. Watch an S/D thief against a Healing Signet warrior if you’ve got a bucket of popcorn and a comfortable seat, because you’ll be watching a LONG fight. Note, I’m also talking from the perspective of S/D-Shbow (in short, plenty of poison), not Double S/D, which just shouldn’t waste their time.

Healing Sig Warriors weaknesses are poison, and uninterrupted damage. sustained aggression against a warrior from any class is something that healing sig cannot make up for. so we have to counter pressure, but S/D cannot be pressured easily by almost any type of warrior. because of Sword 2. Stun them, they will teleport back, knock down, teleport back, root, teleport back and forth, all the while evading attacks and ripping our boons off and doing very good sustained damage. The problem is that being aggressive toward a warrior will most likely get you killed as we have no problems with getting up in peoples faces for a fight and that’s how we thrive, so most classes go back and forth between defensive and offensive while fighting

S/D thieves are definitely strong in most situations, continuously rooting, crippling and weakening their target, while evading, and moving back and forth between shadowsteps, blinding their target with tactical strike, and providing enough sustained damage that classes with lots of regen are shut down easily. S/D is the equivalent of WoW’s Combat rogue in terms of being able to go toe-to-toe with even the Warriors of the current Meta and come out on top. In my opinion, it’s a spec with quite a high skill ceiling. Out of all thieves they are the ones I have the most trouble with. You can predict a D/P Thief. You can predict a D/D Thief. But it’s like watching the Ocean when a S/D thief fights, and when they’re REALLY GOOD, only condition classes like necro or Engineers can hold a candle to that thief. It’s just from my own experience though.

In the end, the main point I’m getting is if you are not wearing zerker gear, you’re bad, if you’re wearing zerker gear but you suck at dodging you’re bad, and any deviation from the metazerker is grounds for being called a bad….

If you can’t be a graceful loser or winner, even in the face of an organized uneven battle, probably shouldn’t ask for it. No one likes to lose, but that doesn’t mean you can’t accept it with dignity. :P No offense intended.

I’ll still play. Who cares about a extra 50, 100, or 150 buff? Whether it’s Roaming or PvD I’ll still beat you down as much as I can, whether one wins or lose won’t be based on something as petty as some extra stats.

4 CD in the NSP BL, how do you like being cleaved to near death by one warrior? :P shows you for interrupting a 1v1 downed battle.

I’m currently leveling a gunslinger for WvW and it is pretty fun. Although NPC’s can only give so much enjoyment, come on, I’m in the NSP BL roaming around and all I have found are two guardians and an upleveled NSP who I when I last saw was trying to get their bloodlust up. And an Mesmer, but I hate fighting mesmers.
