I am leveling a P/P + S/D thief for WvW, and as I play the class, I believe I learn a little more as I get closer to max level. I used to believe thieves were stupid and if I saw one I would immediately turn the opposite way and avoid a fight at all cost. That was 3 months ago. Before the healing sig buff I started being able to take them down more frequently. To this day I’d say I have a 40 – 60% chance to win, depending on luck and if my skills land. Tbh mesmer is the only class I have never beaten, ever. Thieves are strong, but eventually you will be able to kill them at least once. If not, then idk.

In Short, No they aren’t OP, but they definitely aren’t UP outside of 1v1 vs. certain classes and builds, or any class really.

Only thing I dislike is that I will probably run into more than one person, and I know NSP has no qualms about 2v1 :P

Make him susceptible to crits and maybe we can get somehwere, right now treating him as some sort of inanimate object that cannot be crit shaves DPS back by at least 30% or more.

On the bright side, maybe we can find some people hanging around the orb places to fight

DH failed, but we made it to maybe 75% but we have no real coordination. But come on guys, it was the first try, so being so morose about it.

Yeah, if I had a necro, I’d probably be playing it, too. That way I could just roll my face around on my keyboard while I watch a movie or something.

I think someone is mad I rolled them. Also, you have no idea the backstory behind my necro and why I enjoy playing it more than my other classes. It’s not all about the deeps.

You’re also a mesmer and if you watched some of the kitten Obs and Waff does, I could say the same exact thing.

You have to admit, even with all the condition cleanse going on, when it comes to conditions, necro stands as the undisputed apex predator. When I fought you I had at least 3 ways to cleanse my self and I still lost twice. Which is why people are kinda bitter about necros right now. don’t pay it no mind.

Maybe when they said they would be changing pistol MH number they plan on adding an evade to body shot. Which gives it a purpose. Of course upping the Initiative cost is in order.

If you’re gonna match us up this horrible, you need to give the lower servers outmanned all the time, even if we happen to have close numbers.

There is no need to be upset, at least at CD. Not their fault. But yeah, Anet doesn’t seem to be trying with WvW at all it seems.

This could potentially be bad, as most people have enough money to fully craft a new toon to 80. Therefore free ascended for pretty much doing nothing at all.

Well, if you’re not willing to attack your enemy to get rid of the Blind, your options are down to a pre-emptive Berserker Stance, Signet of Stamina and waiting it out.

Waiting it out is usually the worst option beecause alot of classes are running 40% condition duration ontop of whatever duration they already have which means 5-7s of running away waiting for blind to come off which is a no no. Best option is to use your autoattack to get rid of it quickly.

If we could switch between 4, even 3 weapon sets…. I hope you have kids at home because the crying and whining would double whatever you have ever heard before.

All duration stacking boons(Aegis, Fury, protection, Regeneration, Retaliation, Swiftness, and Vigor) and conditions(Blind, Burning, Chilled, Cripple, immobilze(now stacks duration), and Poison) now stack to a maximum of 5 times.

Fixed a bug where stuns would always round up their duration to the nearest second if you had extra stun duration from items or trait

Oh well, we gave advice, and you just sit here, complaining. Nothing else we can do. I never said to change weapons. some weapons have it easier to pressure than others could pressure with almost any other weapon.

I have trouble against necros as well, but not too much depends on the build and weapon set up, but one should always have zerker stance and a stability in their slots. and never let a gap open between you and the necro if you can help it, you pressure him again and again and again. If you have cleansing Ire in your build, all the better. They aren’t too difficult to beat aside from that. but I use hammer and Axe + shield so my pressure is higher than most.

No profession can counter the warrior in its current form. Thus nerfing the warrior is the only way.

I have 3.2k armor on my hammer warrior D/P thieves can still rock me becauseblind is up 90% of the time, and guess what? can’t hit what you can’t see.

Zerker stance is good against necros and cleansing ire but conditions are up faster than you can remove them, same for engies.

haven’t lost to a ranger in a while…s o yeah…

Mesmers are a personal problem

Guardians end up in a stalemate, especially healways.

S/F eles are squishy, but can burst the crap out of us within their earth attunement knockdown, and GS/Longbow warriors with frenzy can also pull surprise burst if we aren’t ready.

No it’s funny that hammer/ Mace + shield is FoTM when people like you have been using it for a while. I don’t pay attention to meta changes, I was also using hammer/ Mace Shield for a While but switched to sword for a little more mobility, then to axe for more killing potential. These builds have long since existed, but if it gets a buff everyone complains. Sigil of para probably has been bugged or whatever for quite a while, so skullcrack 4s stun would have been 3s and same for hammer. All I’m saying is the video is great and don’t listen to what people say about stuff that doesn’t even matter. Hammer4lyfe \ o /

Warrior here and i just watched your video.

No offence but you are being carried by healing signet and the mace, just like quite a few warriors out there. This build is as cookie cutter as bulls charge+100B early on in the game. I also use healing signet but it doesn’t mean its anywhere near balanced. Mace stuns need to get tuned down.

Regarding your build:
You cannot run away from anyone
Outside berserker stance you are really susceptible to kiting
Someone with the slightest mobility can outrun you.

Its basically a stay and fight build.

Overall good skill though, but i would like to see more 1v2

Been running the exact same build with Surge for months before healing sig change.

And whats with everyone caring if someone runs away from them or running away from fights? quit being kittenes, stay and fight.

You are preoccupied with the idea that winning means staying and fighting, especially when you use an fotm cookie cutter build. On top of that you are set in your ideas and ignoring every kind of advice and constructive posts written in your post. If you don’t like criticism, don’t post on the forums at all.

That’s because you probably look at the floor and faceroll your keyboard in your adorable little REDBALLOFZERGDEATH. There are ALOT of us that run around solo. I’m never alone because as a Mesmer, there’s always 1-4 versions of me at any given point in time, I can see how you would be confused.

Kinda sucks because people were excited about underwater combat and I was impressed when I first saw it too. Now… well… /shrug
