It’s hard not to find a fight nowadays… usually in the BL you ran into one person maybe every 10m or so… now you can’t even twitch your nose without 5 people (mainly SF) popping out of the ground.

Yes. In other news, Perplexity still not nerfed, being spam headshotted by crappy thieves and I only have so much stability.

I hear abilities like quickness and frenzy USED to work on the spike cast time, but they changed it not to work because it wouldn’t give anyone time to actually react to a teammate being downed, or even the downed person being able to use their number two skill to stall while someone rezzed them.

Even so, we lost more WvW guilds. Oh well. Every server will eventually go through these rough patches….

yesterday a guy in /say chat in wvw said “i have no idea what’s going on but I’m having one hell of a good time”

you see a lot of people don’t come to WvW because they are intimidated and mostly because they don’t understand it and don’t want to get called a noob while learning. the carrot-chasing will teach them a lot about wvw in the process and break the ice.

a lot of players are like you said but also a lot are not. the ones I see coming into WvW are split between carrot-chasers and on the other side people who are genuinely interested to understand the game mode and what’s going on, asking questions and such. the way those players are treated has a lot to do with how many stick around.

But as styx says, if they start to like WvW, but don’t like the server, they will decide to a “winning” server like SBI or some other that has a rather higher winrate than we have had in quite awhile. We can make it seem fun, but we also have to hope they might feel some server loyalty.

To make it fun, they actually have to be interested in WvW without the added carrot on a stick achievements. If they are only interested in achievments, and not wvw, we cannot convince them it is fun.

What happens when the PvE’ers get their points and achieves or whatever? They leave. Leagues are 7 weeks. Plenty of time. I predict that they will all be gone by the 3rd week at the latest.

If healing power was upped enough for support to be viable than just a guardian with a few shouts and mass cleansing then bosses would probably need to hit a bit harder to keep up with the amount of healing being distributed, not counting self-healing.

I honestly don’t know the point of healing power. Only in large amounts does it make a lick of difference, and most healing abilities, traits, etc heal pretty decently. It’s probably likely they are not ok with the idea of people running around in full healing power gear healing for obscene amounts. Healway guards already heal for a high amount, imagine of healing power actually scaled in a way that mattered.

I’m sure the search function still isn’t working…

But what if heals were able to crit? This way, we could reduce healing that’s currently pretty power like healing sig, and make healing power scale a bit better by increasing the amount a critical heals for. I’m not really good with math, so I wouldn’t know how much healing from signets, traits and weapon abilities would be able to heal for.

I think it’s a pretty decent suggestion, of course the scaling of healing power wouldn’t be TOO much higher than it is now. I just thought of it all of a sudden, and maybe someone can help me find the flaws and maybe we can tweak it to be a little more balanced.

Crystal Desert toughened me up when our servers fought, and though we were mostly blown out, They are a great server and I would transfer in a heartbeat if Darkhaven suddenly blew-up. Bump for goodluck in silver you guys

Our Position at #4 may be ripped from us, as our PvE pop cannot be convinced WvW matters, and we have nothing to offer guilds who might be thinking of transferring. atm, FC had a giant zerg in EB in the afternoon that doubled anything we currently had since Saturday. Our problem is that our presence is not consistent, every afternoon. couple that with our non-existent night presence and boy how did we ever make it out of T8 at all..

Let’s be honest, most people were playing Hammer because of the 3second stun every 7s. I am expecting the number of hammer trains to go down a lot. Of course I’ll still be playing hammer, it’s the only weapon I have used for a long time, so I don’t know much about any other weapon. But are people already thinking about the next build they will be using?

Shout Warriors may become a really real thing, but then again it might not. What do you all think?

I’m sure FC has its share of hackers too, but I’m not sure I’ve seen it on quite so large a scale as we’ve seen in this mathcup, that’s for sure.

Whole guilds setting up 5-10 arrow carts and using LOS exploits. Reporting commanders so they can’t use chat. Logging to avoid stomps. Roaming groups flickering around? It’s quite excessive.

I know almost all the regulars who play WvW with me. I am certain none of the well-known commanders, or most of the known regulars who follow them use such tricks. However WvW isn’t exclusive, and we’ll get people like That we’ll also get accidental bugs and stuff like the screenie I posted earlier when we were attacking SM and we tried to stack in a corner, the commander, myself and another somehow got into the wall itself. only managed to leave after dropping combat. We cannot control EVERY person who comes into WvW. No one can, but someone taking their personal vendetta against and entire server is frankly petty and they need to grow up.

Complaining about an ability that will most likely never be used, and even it does, it’s 4s on a 40s CD, which however does not negate the thief from dodging, shadowstepping away, blinding the Ranger, stunning the ranger, LoSing the ranger, outright killing the ranger, etc…. But you will counter with the same bull crap, “Waah, it’s not the fact that no one will use it, it’s the principle design that allowed, yadda yadda…” THE FACT IS…. This trait is extremely NICHE, and you will probably never see it used if at all and complaining about it is nothing short of ridiculous ranting that has no basis whatsoever.

I wasn’t very good. I’ve gotten…. fairly decent, because I’ve been using only one Weapon set since I was level 60 so I more or less play my build like second nature. As with all things, if you get discouraged, you will not get better. In my 5 months of playing this game I’ve fought against good players, terrible players, and God like players, players who hit like trucks, and players who are tougher than a boon spamming guardian. To get better, you have to fight EVERYONE. You cannot run from any class no matter how much you hate them. Like Mesmers. I hate fighting mesmers, but I will come back to fight every time. If I ever somehow end up fighting People Like Yishis, Second To God, Chris Dawnheart, Bandito…. Try your best. And fight that’s the only way you will get better is to, I repeat, fight EVERYONE.

Well it seems DH is having some trouble. But, people work, and go to school on the weekdays, so it can’t be helped I guess. Even if it is Columbus day

If you try to kill me when I’m already being beat on by 3 other people and fight miserably, yes I’m going to laugh, you have tried to do it at least 4 times when I was being attacked by someone else. Didn’t send anyone by the way, I thought you got away like you always do. But hey get mad because of your failed attempts to kill me. I won’t stop you.

Being Attacked by at least 3 people(And failing at killing me) is funny. being killed and then laughed at isn’t funny. It’s disrespectful, and I stand by what I said, I’m not like that If someone dies to 3 of my friends I won’t laugh. If I kill someone in a 1v1 I won’t laugh, even when they repeatedly come back for 1v1’s. Apples and Oranges, don’t play this game with me.

Why does it seem everyone is picking on [Ohai]? They are a fun guild to fight and not everyone can control “Everyone” in their said guild. Its just something that people are going to have to get over. Yes people laugh at the people they kill its not right but it happens. This match up is pretty fun though i would have to say.

Not picking on them, calling them out on disrespectful behavior. A person’s actions reflect on their guild as a whole, no denying that. A lot of time these guilds are very good at what they do, but they have members that have trashy attitudes, but they aren’t being reigned in. No discipline. To me, when you rep a guild, you are representing what it stands for. negative actions make a guild as a whole look bad, and members should already know this.

Mending isn’t too bad of a skill. It doesn’t heal for much, probably because I have like 20k hp. But I’ll practice using it above Healing sig, so I’m not kitten ing when it sig get’s toned down.

Owowo…. I’ll have to fight smarter not harder. That’s against everything a Warrior is about, but meh..

I like LFG. easy to find a group for almost any dungeons. I think the Openworld content and personal story tabs are kinda useless because Personal is soloable till maybe Orr. /shrug. Plus most players won’t know that we have such a thing.
