OMG, I have been playing this game for almost a year and I just made the stupidest mistake in the world. I guess when I opened my inventory I (without even thinking about it) click the deposit all like I always do and sent it packing to the bank. It did not even occur to me to check that first since I clicked the deposit all on auto-pilot. I just checked and there he was waiting in the bank.

Why is this very hard content a temporary one time thing?

Please, do not start to complain, please just don’t, casuals have got content enough, do not take it from us, or this game will be ruined by casuals (or actually is).

The main issue I believe is the fact there is a time limit on this content. It isn’t just hard content, it is hard do it in 2 weeks content. I play casual but I like hard stuff, I am glad there is harder stuff but the whole temporary hard content stuff has to go. Make it permanent stuff.

I won’t go on but the list goes on and on and on and on. Many since day 1 are still untouched. Your bar event broke yet again. Take a month, sit down, look at your coding and fix the stuff that you currently have and maybe it will also prevent future bugs happening like with these events breaking. This isn’t the first time your DE’s have broke.

Won’t happen. Anet is pretty much known as being worse than blizzard for fixing bugs. The last time I logged into gw1 they still had bugs from when prophecies was released..yeah that many years ignoring the same bugs.

You might as well get used to it. It’s just one of many reasons people have refused to play GW2. I was hoping that they would show they had changed.

Blizzard wasn’t that bad IMO. They had bugs yes but not many that I ever ran into and I had to deal with the blink through the ground bug to deal with :P That took awhile to ever get fixed but wasn’t a constant issue to be annoying at least to me.

I think you missed his point. The reactor could have an effect on the current open world where as Abaddon is past history your going back to see!

Plus he speaks the truth regardless, people will go as fast as possible, exploit as much as possible to get the loot. That is what majority of the gaming community does.

Anything that happens in there will stay in there. Its not like a huge world boss is gonna start devouring the world cause of a fractal.

Yordies are extremely stupid in LoL. They are not at all like WoW gnomes which you still want them to die but they are sort of funny at the same time so you spare them for your entertainment. Teemo and friends are only good for using their bodies for a corpse wall.

Just get them done asap and saves you a worry and you never know when you’ll get blindsided by something difficult cough aetherblade retreat cough and not be able to finish because of that.

While the NPCs can make you rage cough Irongut cough when I started playing against players it actually pretty fun mini game. So if you can’t beat Irongut, just get the other signature moves to play. The frog skill is meh so your not missing much with his and while I personally think Irongut’s is the best, I wouldn’t be surprise if some others can be just as good but I haven’t learn to use them as effectively. I have lost to players using other skills. Though some need some tuning such as the Asura one seems really really useless compared to the others.

Cheering on peeps to take him out! I hate to see people not finish that cause of his RNG death combo QQQ!

Good news he seems to be by far the hardest, though I heard complaints about Maddie but I rolled over all of them after I manage to get Irongut down cause I tried to do them in order for RP sake!

Can’t buy the stuff so you can fight players cause the npc keeps telling me to stop the bar fight and its stuck 17/18 and doesnt matter how many I stop, it stays at 17. :[

I saw crying on the forum that he is impossible, and all it takes is luck.

OK. I went back to Hoelbrak in a few days and I beat him again, this time around on my 2nd try.

Let me be the first who outright says:

There is no L2P with him sometimes, he can straight up kill you no matter what you do if he decides to do certain combos. Try dealing with his skill 4 times in a row with only 1 round breathing room in between each CD. I have beaten him and there are things that will help you increase your chances beating him but he can still just killer combo you to death if he feels like doing it.

There is some luck of the draw included in him I think. Intended or not, I dunno. I managed to beat him my first time using the usual method that a lot of people post and is on Dulfy (No silly food buffs/boosters here – didn’t even know about it till after I finished him).

It was also the game I got the achievement for winning by one drink. I was pretty much dead, but low health belch is op.

I tried him again after that though, after I saw so many people complaining about him (this was before the initial “fix”) and I lost the first time, using the same exact method as when I beat him. /shrug

The irony I just got the achievement for punishing bluffers 10 times with him with getting the last punish I need off him lol. I planned to go do the the asura since she spams bluff but I was waiting in Hoelbrak for something so decide to try him out again and got it when attempting him the first time lol.

You can if you can solo the first boss cause you can’t go further cause the gate is closed until he is dead though hes not gonna die all that fast. I am unsure if I can post this but you can use the gw2LFG site which works wonders.

First I am only going off what I am reading since I did not play GW1 so please correct me if I am wrong.

Are people really whining the NPC is getting the credit in the story? MAYBE thats how the story is suppose to be! The battle is just there for you have to fun. This has been done in other games. In the actual storymode in one game, YOU don’t kill the super duper bad boss, someone else does and shows the battle. However, they do allow you form a party to fight the boss yourself for fun but as story goes, you didn’t defeat it though you did help but not with a 77867666 other people.

Stop complaining that they steal the credit unless its actually part of the story but from what I am reading, people are just complaining about something mechanically related.

Charrs can die, they pretty scream Blood for the Blood God all day long. The only good Charr is one that is my minion.

I refuse to vote for a Charr instance or not. And as someone said, I doubt the whole idea is gonna get chuck for the loser. Kiel could offer nothing and Id still vote for her cause the Charr is dirty!

I rather have Kiel on the board then that filthy Charr for the remainder of GW2 story. Abaddon will probably come out later anyways, like they are gonna waste that idea because it did not get voted.

Number 2, the lore in this game need to be kicked up a lot of notches anyways, so unless that improves to begin with, the whole lore epicness isn’t enticing to me. I did not play GW1 but heard the story was amazing, but the same people same GW2 story is very meh and uninteresting. So far for me, it is meh and I am not hard to please. I tend to enjoy simple plots but these plots are wayyyy too simple.

Simple, Kiel has that much charisma while the filthy dirty Charr does not!

We have not started building either Fractal yet. We’ll be starting pretty much as soon as the vote is decided, with all three fractals (Aetherblade, Molten, and Reactor/Abbadon) releasing later this year.

There better be those achievements tied to Aetherblade! Or else! As the evil Jafar said, you’d be surprised why you can live through!

Why you may ask? I rather have a politician whos been in a war then some peep sitting behind a desk making money all day. We have enough of those!

Yes I agree Anet can take several steps in improving her character but from an roleplay stance, we SEEN IRL what greedy corporate leaders do, I prefer the one whos lives life rather then sits back and watches behind the gold pile for a leader.

I agree here, you can´t call it a achievment if you just earn it for free.

It is at the same time amazing and sad that there are people that still think that everybody that can’t get the achievement simply can’t for lack of skill.

Hmm, I disagree. It’s not very amazing, or sad, it’s just simply logical. You must understand what an achievement is, first, before you can come to terms with it being limited to the playerbase.

And achievement is, by definition:

(1) A thing done successfully, typically by effort, courage, or skill.
(2) The process or fact of achieving something.

The purpose of an achievement is to separate the community on a personal level, through ability — note: ability does not always mean skill. While I understand that there are many who will not be able to earn achievements due to unfair reasons (ie. Lag, dissabilities, etc…) the matter still stands that an achievement is an achievement. Believe me, I am not simply shouting from a sideline here; I am also one of these people. Due to my ISP, I suffer from disconnects every 20-40 minutes. Not to mention my occasional lag spikes, and my phone’s unfailing ability to ring during my most dire moments. There are some special achievements I was unable to acquire — and I accept that.

If someone is willing to riposte with a counter claim, I’ll be waiting, and willing, to further my point.

Achievements * usually * are ploys to help extended the life of a game by replay value and/or challenges. However, atleast GW2 made achievement points meaningful and in general they just help you see the game itself so they have more * real * value. Killing a billion zombies in X game for 2 hours straight isn’t special. Do it if you enjoy it but otherwise waste of time.

Also the achievements mostly in this game are easy, they are more or less go do this and that rather then try to do this super hard thing. The Captain 15 min kill was a more actual skillful achievement and even 15 mins is a bit meh, should of been 10 if they were aiming for something hard.

Thereforth, the achievements mostly in this game are go do X thing and not so much a skill based or effort thing.

First, yes hes RNG and is gonna be able to still RNG Combo Kill you! However after spending sometime on him he does have * some * consistency to him which is still RNG but helps limited this fact. Basically rather then guess a number on an 8 sided die, its on a 4 sided die.

First, for those that don’t know, he rarely fakes but he does do it and he likes to do early belches as I call them which he as a good chance of either belching the very 1st round OR he doesn’t he might do it either 2nd or 3rd round, I forget which, otherwise it usually in his normal window which I explain below.

Now, bascially he has windows in when he has a good chance of doing them, at least when I was doing him. For example, since he pretty much chain chugs, he belch is almost always up after 3 rounds but I have notice he usually likes to use it 1 or 2 rounds it coming off CD making his belch closer to a 4-5 round thing. His water seems to be close to this also which I think might be closer to 4-6 rounds.

Now again he can do things outside these windows but when I used them, they helped me improved a lot in beating him, even in the games I did not beat him I was doing really well.

Before I did this, I was doing a lot worse so it did seem to help but maybe just a streak of dumb luck.

The best advice I try to see what he likes to constantly do to close that RNG cap to increase your chance of beating him through RNG.

I used the plant guys buff whatever its called but you brag how awesome you are if anyone wanted to know what I used.

Yes they are. Unmentioned in the patch notes was that minions are now very responsive (though they still have occasional issues in large group battles when it’s tough for the game to tell who you want them to dogpile)

No they aren not viable and never will be until they introduce the AoE damage reduction passive they should come with to make them viable in dungeons and on bosses. This was something WoW took forever to figure out, but once they did, pets were amazing, not OP but viable just as everything else on boss encounters.

DIE DIE!!! Finally beat him and now I demand an event where I may proceed to slaughter him relentlessly. His supreme reigning gut should be loot and be a component in cooking recipe! >:O
