they said for world 2 the want to add more skins, so we’ll get them all as all of the worlds are released. If it’s a bit hit as it seems to be there should be about 4 or 5 worlds.
Anet pls make the boy’s room in the promo a hidden area that we can knock everything off of his desk and give him the SAB and if we take it away he attacks us.
You need 5 players to play plain and simple. You cannot pass the checkpoints or even start with less.
I clear world 1-zone 1 solo.
If you can post here on these forums your account is not blocked, unless that was changed in the last update.
And yes I agree good idea. I’m sure it’s on a to do list.
Guild Wars is not named for player guilds, it’s named for a few Guild Wars from the lore that players have nothing to do with.
Well if it’s a bug that’s keeping them there endlessly, they are exploiting a bug posting it all around LA excessively. They should get a warning and if they don’t stop 72 hour ban.

hard lesson, but you’re stuck with it.
it’s not even the NPCs that would be the problem as you can click on talk if you can’t click on them. It would be people using mounts to troll JPs, like they do already with Norn and Charr.
I was thinking little Quaggens
when I entered the word ‘mounts’ into search, I got 4,444 results….odd
OT: I do not have a desire for mounts. If enough people indicate they do not want them, it will probably equal out those that asked for them.
If they should ever be introduced to the game, I hope they are required to stay 100 yards from any NPCs.
on this thought let’s make Norn and Charr stay 100 yards away as well, they do fit into why you would say that.
I only tolerate the broomsticks because it’s a novelty thing that most people won’t bother with and it doesn’t provide any advantage to walking.
Oh, you tolerate something you have no control over in the first place, thanks how kind of you
I think the tonic makes you turn fully into the animal, so it would not be a charr with a tail, it would be just a mermaid/merman model.
Maybe someday it might be a tonic, it would be nice to have some underwater tonics. When they get ready for the DSD I think a lot of work will be done with underwater zones, including goodies to be used there and perhaps some cool tonics such as this.
Yes another mount post a lot of people do want mounts no one can disagree with that, and a lot of people don’t. So we will see more mount posts. I don’t see a need for speed mounts and flying mounts are out of the question for Anet. Mounts just for show are ok I would get a few my self if i liked them.
are people really having problems with a password?? The first thing I typed in was fine, and they had this rule in place. I can’t think of a reason why it would be so hard for some people unless they’re using passwords that other people have used, and if that is the case why would you want to use it?
works fine for me, I logged in and did a DE just fine after reading this thread.
Yeah I’m sure they can take our main account names off of here. I can look at all of the comments and names with out logging in.
I don’t hate him.
But how did a Largos get all the way to Snowden Drifts? That’s high up in the mountains. He would have to travel on land for days to get up there. So clearly Largos can reach any place in Tyria if they can get up there.
We will have to go underwater to fight DSD. All of this underwater combat and emphasis on underwater will be there anyway and the Largos are just adding on to that, not the reason for it. His Army is made up of underwater creatures so I don’t think we would be fighting him on land. So really if you want to argue against emphasis on underwater it would have to be against DSD, not the Largos.
Waypoints? Hehe, I don’t know. There’s also the Unseen Hunter in Brisban Wildlands which doesn’t connect to the ocean either. Maybe the Largos have a means of teleporting themselves from one body of water to another, which I would consider perfectly acceptable. My greater concern, again, is how a Largos would cope with an extended sojourn on land (or even if it’s possible for them to do so), since we never encounter a Largos any significant distance from the water.
We don’t know if we’ll actually confront the DSD as a combatable foe. For all we know, ANet may simply come out and say that the Largos managed to find a way to defeat the DSD all by themselves (or perhaps they allied with the other underwater races like the krait and quaggan), leaving us to focus on the landbound dragons.
I should probably reiterate that if ANet does end up making the Largos a playable race, I’ll accept it. I would rather that the Tengu, Krait, Skritt or even the Kodan become playable first, but ANet will make their own decision. I’ll adapt.
Colin talks about the dragons at the end of this and it sounds like we will get to fight against all of the dragons.
http://www.eurogamer.pt/videos/entrevista-game-designer-guild-wars-2
I’m not too keen on the idea of Largos being a playable race either, but I’m just adopting a “wait and see” stance. My major misgiving with them stem mainly from the fact that, as an aquatic race, it wouldn’t make sense for them to be adventuring for days, weeks or even months away from the ocean. They also feel like a very one-dimensional race (but then again, I thought much the same thing about the Norn in EotN).
On a more practical level, underwater areas and combat are actively hated by a large part of the player base, so if the Largos were to be introduced alongside an underwater capital city and a greater emphasis on underwater combat, we’d probably see a backlash that I think ANet would be better off avoiding in the first place.

About why they have limbs and why their wing/fins are attached to the neck:
Traits necessary for future playable races. They need limbs to wear boots and gloves like other playable races, and the wings starting there prevent clipping issues with armors.
In fact I’m starting to get armor pieces for my future Largos Mesmer :P
The wings could have easily been a lot more ray like, and probably so if they were made to be a minor race. They are made to be a major race, and likely playable. Wings like that make it easy for armor to fit on them.
Who knows we might get another profession with them!?!
maybe he just wants to see it more, having it out while not doing anything wouldn’t hurt anything.
Question regarding dungeons for Leah Rivera — I think nearly everyone liked the Fractals of the Mists dungeon. It was a really new and interesting experience. Do you have any plans for something even more dynamic? For example, there was an interesting idea from one of our community members of having random dungeons in every map. A player gets a random piece of loot, a special item (map for example), if they use this item, it opens for them a random dungeon on the map—for 24 hours, for example. If the player decided to go there, they will face random creatures. What do you think about such an idea? Or maybe you have something better? How do you generate ideas? Are there any secrets or is it just a matter of brainstorming?
Leah Rivera, Game Designer: I’m always down for tackling dynamic content! I very much enjoyed working on the Fractals ankittenhrilled at how well it was received. As for future plans, I can’t divulge any specifics, but there’s a wide variety of projects that we’re working on to improve the game right now. Fans, like you all reading this, are vital to that process! You highlight the places we need to improve and allow us to focus our efforts and make Guild Wars 2 the best it can be.
Speaking of great community ideas, I think the idea of random dungeons in the maps would be a blast! I do wonder if the dynamic feeling you’re looking for would be better served in the open world though. The open world is built for that sort of thing! The addition of the other player element leads to unpredictable, unique experiences. Another player swooping in to lend a hand can be incredibly rewarding and lead to team building and socializing opportunities you can miss out on in dungeons. There are actually several hidden events, similar to what you mentioned in the world. I think taking those up a notch into a more player triggered, open world dungeon experience is a cool idea!
Idea generation for stuff like this is a give-and-take process between creative parties, very similar to what I just did in the previous paragraph. We’ll sit down in a meeting with a clear goal in mind and start discussing ideas. From there, the weaker concepts are eliminated and the stronger ones are built upon until we have some pretty decent content ideas. Then, those ideas go through a review process and are further refined or eliminated as need be. After that, we actually start building the content, which brings its own challenges into the mix! end
*Me*I like this idea, it could also be applied to holiday dungeons like a haunted castle with a vampire lord (Vampire Hunter D)or a mummy from Joko’s Army for Halloween, the Ice lord for winters day. Each year they could be different having them for about 2 weeks depending on the holiday and a year to change it. It couldn’t hurt. Just examples.
I think Anet said before release we would not be able to dye weapons. I forget where but I remember it being brought up.
yes, I thought about it. It would be nice to log in with out everyone knowing it in the guild. This is the wrong forum for this, it needs too be in suggestions or GW2 game chat.
is there any success story of a LV60 ele running solo through this mission … or any one who can share some experience on solo this one ??
I did it at 59 as a ele, kill as many vets as you can before most of your NPCs are dead. If there are any left pull them up on the wall and they will get stuck on the unkillable lionguard, make sure the vet summoners get stuck on it. When you have them stuck you can rez NPCs and clear out the rest of the lone mobs.
when you have to clear it, take out the vets that you can. You can take at a few at the start when all of the NPCs are still up. I had two left over after most NPCs had died, I died a few times trying to pull them but i got both of them and the whole mob up in the wall fighting an unkillable Lionguard. I got the NPCs up in the courtyard and we took out the lone mobs in the courtyard easily. I had a real hard time with it too, but pulling the vets on the wall works.
Bc it’s part of that update.
“But seeing as it happened 20 minutes after I used the first slot, it’s only reasonable for me to think that something dubious happened.” How do you know it happened 20 minutes after? That’s when you saw it, that does not mean that’s when it happened. It could have happened anytime from the time you logged on to ur toon to the time you saw it.
I dont think guests should be pushed into overflow, as it would interfere with the reason for guesting. It should be invite only to keep friends playing with each other. They have to stay with the person that invited you and that server has to be home for the person inviting. There could also be limits on how many times someone can change servers per day. I don’t see a need for someone that wants to play with friends to have to jump servers everyday more than once or twice. I like these ideas bc they limit server farming and it keeps the main purpose of gusting as intend. There are some other good ideas, but pushing guests to overflow stops them from farming on the servers but does nothing to stop server farming. That is not what guesting is intended for.
I don’t think friends who do want to play together that have guests would like it if being on their own home server had to go to overflow to be with them. It would favor people who don’t have guests unfairly, and friends who do want to play together should not be punished for people who want to farm servers.

The broom is not a mount it’s a vanity item that alters how you move. There are no speed boosts, it’s simply there so you can ‘look cool’
Now if A.Net wants to add a horse/moa/dolyak which is exactly the same as the broom in the sense that it only changes how you move around and not the speed in which you move, that I can agree with. But this thread isn’t about vanity, it’s about speed and getting around the world faster, and we already move fast enough without them.
Yeah, most people that I’ve seen call it a mount :P When the OP talks about MOUNTS for show thats what he means. Meaning that you mount it and ride it around (mounts don’t have to have a speed increase)
Some of these obnoxious posts suggest cosmetic mounts, the majority request mounts as a quicker form of travel (somehow being quicker than wp). Either way the op suggested flying mounts which cannot in anyway be added due to how the zones are made. The edges end in a abyss simply leading to impossible air travel, so no to air mounts in any form or fashion unless future zones filled these gaps but airship’s would be better than some silly flying moa. No matter what, no to flying mounts and no to any sort of mounts with a movement speed greater than or equal to 33% movement speed bonus.
Yes, but no speed increase is better. Flying is out of the question for sure, Anet came out and said it. There’s no need to worry about flying mounts, so there is no need to reply to that part, only perhaps to notify him (which has been done).

I would just like to say that i think it would be nice to have mounts one day. They may not be needed do to being able to travel through portals, but it would ad to the fun of the game to have ur own mount even if just for show. Would like to see comment and know who agrees or disagrees. thanks for your time
He says even if it’s just for show it would be ok. So the OP is willing to accept mounts just for show (as are most people). I think a lot people here need to calm down and really read what he said. No one is forcing you to reply to this thread you all made your self do it.
If there were more mounts in the GS like the broom mount it would be fine. I here tons of people hating on mounts, but none hating on the broom mount that is already in the game. (like the mop) :P

Largos
Tengu
Kodan
Most of us can agree on Tengu and somewhat agree on Largos and Kodan. I believe the Largos do stand a good chance to be playable, having not much lore. Anet has a lot of freedom to decide if they wanted to make them playable and I think that gives them one of the best chances.
(edited by Midnight Gypsy.9360)
Well, if that Guild Wars Insider video is accurate (haven’t watched it, as I can’t watch videos at work), then it seems that ANet does indeed have plans to make the Largos into a playable race. I would still prefer Krait/Naga as an underwater playable race (have you ever seen any RPG that let you play as a serpentoid race? It would be breaking new ground!), but if the Largos are what ANet’s going with, I’ll adapt.
I’ll probably make a Largos Guardian, since I imagine the vast, VAST majority of Largos characters are going to be Thieves. :P
That video is a good one, a lot of people seem to think the Largos are being set up to be playable are some point. You know watching that video I was waiting for them to bring up what they thought of making Largos playable :P
I think I will be a Warrior and Thief :P
The broom mount is for sale in the GS. I have one and I sit on it at the AH trader:P

They might have something on you’re PC giving them your password, like a key logger. If you’re changing it and they still have it with in a month or two it won’t matter if you change it. You need to find what they have on you’re PC and clean it out.
somehow I have to think this will be coming along at some point.
I do have a alt almost to that part of the story, I will listen very carefully.
My only disagreement with you is rather she said that or not. I didn’t hear it, I can’t find it anywhere, so I guess we’re not going to agree on it.
“Although I am sure your one of those people that if it isn’t on the internet it isn’t true” yes just as sure as Sayeh said that Largos can’t stay out of the water. Both are assumptions and it that’s not what that I disagree with, it’s the fact that she said it, which you can’t find, bc you are the only person to say that in which you can’t even remember what she said. You can’t be sure I’m one of those people can you? you have to assume it, but you claim to be sure. I’m saying I don’t believe you that you pass this as a fact but it’s an assumption. Yes I am assuming this, bc no one has every said it, and I never heard her say it. The only source is you, of course people would be sceptical that you heard that.
Now with many debates about the Largos, no one who has done the story has every said they can’t stay out of the water based on what she said, it’s always been based on assumption. Are you the only one that heard her say that? bc if she did say that i think it would have come out more than one person making the claim. It took this long just to get you to say where it exactly was, and it’s in a place that can’t be verified. So I’m saying you’re making assumptions into facts.
(edited by Midnight Gypsy.9360)
“it is not part of her main stream dialog it is her random speech as you go through the mission” Ah, never heard it, I think it’s just assumed. You’re the only one to say this, somehow everyone else missed it. It’s no where that can be found anywhere on the net. The only place it can be found is by what you are saying here.
“( my words as I do not know exactly what she says )” so she might not have said it at all?
(edited by Midnight Gypsy.9360)
Sayeh has other dialogue in quests:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Wet_Work
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Intercepting_the_OrbThere are probably more, but still I don’t see the quote. I skimmed somewhat quickly though.
Yeah yes, but it’s not in those also. I’ve never heard anyone say that she said it, so it’s doubtful. I have heard people assume that they can’t stay out of the water for too long, and the reason they give is seeing them near the water when we meet them.
(edited by Midnight Gypsy.9360)
I can understand how people assume they can’t stay on land for long bc they’re always near the water. Not sure about the one in Snowden Drifts he may have had to traveled on land for a while to get up that high in the mountains. So they clearly can get into all areas of Tyria by land or by water no problem.
There are 9 in the game total, lol. Most of them are NPCs you have contact with. if you mean Sayeh, she doesn’t that at all. I’m asking you to show me where and you can’t. If you can’t even remember who said it, how can you remember what was said? I think you’re just assuming. Did everyone else miss her saying that? So wiki is missing it bc everyone else missed it and you are the only one that saw it?
(edited by Midnight Gypsy.9360)
that’s a big point to leave out of the wiki, I don’t see it. I think that is assumed. Who exactly said it?
