They seem to clear on gw2spidy. Have also seen (quite a few times actually) high bids for legendaries go up, followed shortly by both the bid disappearing and one of the legendaries listed for sale disappearing. Presumably someone taking down their posted item and filling the buy order.
Less often (but still regularly), people buy the ones listed too. There was a period in the past where there was actually like 8 twilights (or sunrise, don’t remember for sure) and you could see people had all recently undercut each other. Then they started clearing. Those were reasonably priced though.

Funny thing is even when prices go down on something, then just go back to what they were before…people call it inflation.
Players don’t seem to think it’s a rip off. Gems increased in price more in a short period from that pick than from any other time in the game since release that I can recall.
I dont think i agree. currently the 3c ones cannot be fulfilled and the 8c one legally can but will never be so technically for any item that currently has a buy order below the vendor price no buy orders can be put which will get fulfilled.

In this case you cannot make a new buy order because the minimum buy order is vendor + 1c, or 8c. There are sell orders available for 8c so any buy orders you make would be instantly filled from sell orders at the same price. When the lowest sell order is 9c then you can place a buy order for 8c.
This will still happen if all unfillable buy orders are cancelled. Their presence/absence is irrelevant.
Correct. Those old unfillable buy orders don’t do anything, other than clutter up the page.

If something vends for 7c and there’s 200,000 of the item sitting there at 8c waiting to be bought…the fact that people have buys in for 3c doesn’t affect anything. The lowest one can obtain that item for from the TP is 8c (1c above vendor).
If all the 3c bids were removed, those 200,000 items are still sitting there at 8c. Even if they weren’t, 8c would be the lowest you could bid (1c above vendor).
Those builds are not “glass cannons”. Both are the standard Water/Arcana build (with slight variations) and different gear. “Glass cannon” means no points into water or earth (which are both more defensive trait lines) and pure damage which simply doesn’t work against better players with the current traits.
This is certainly true. We can make modifications for more offensive minded traits within the confines of the needs of the profession, and gear with valkyrie and/or zerk gear but in the sense of going all out with offensive only traits, that just doesn’t work so well due to our lack of innate survivability outside of traits.
Of course, have to make do with what we have for now. Being able to run full glass with offensive utils and offensive only traits would require some sort of evasive/survivability mechanics built into the weapon sets themselves, such as thief dagger 5, mesmer MH sword 2, shatter distortion etc.
For overworld content where you’d like to stay at range, but don’t feel you need to have all the utility/CC tools on the staff…use a scepter instead.

Up for consideration is the 0/25/0/15/30 build (With bolt to the heart, not air cooldown reduction). With valkyrie stuff. A more offensive minded variant of the valk setup that lets you keep your evasive arcana water rolls.
arcane blast/wave, mist form. Good candidate for ether renewal for the condition clearing.
Staying in air slows you down, because you need to leave air to go back to it (and get swiftness from the elemental attunement trait).
If RTL was affected by chilled/cripples, it should then also have the cooldown reduced back to 15s.
Else it wouldn’t be comparable to other professions, it’d be WORSE.
Rather than taking an auto loss if you DC, you should just get whatever the result of the match actually is. The game’s keeping track of you being in the match as it is, even if you’re offline, as you can log back in and rejoin your match.
Most times, it’ll be a loss of course, but at least in cases where you’re unlucky and lose link near the end of a game that’s won for sure…you’d be fine.
Yeah this is a sigil that definitely could use a boost. Not to some overpowered heal, but just to something where it might be desirable to use sometimes.
Ditto for other sigils that are lacking in the numbers department.
When it comes to just doing the easy overworld content in this game, Warrior, Guardian, and Ranger are good choices for doing it quickly and/or easily.
That said, it doesn’t matter much.
If there’s some trouble spots in WvW you can’t seem to get, say so to your server. If it’s something that hasn’t opened up in a while chances are there’s 20 other people around that want it too. Rally them to hit the spot up, you’ll get it.
I like playing with people but I’ve never really cared for any of the dungeons we have. Didn’t feel like they offered much of a reason to run them.
On the flip side, I liked running fractals. There’s a lot to get from them. I felt like I was being properly rewarded for doing them.
Would definitely like to see this be fixed. Seems like an easy fix.
Join games that have an even numbers of players in them, not odd. Higher chance of a competitive game (which you’ll ruin by joining, though hopefully someone else follows after you heh).
I aim for the ones that are 14/16.
Not that it’s going to save everything, but I would figure spectator mode is a good first step. You’ll likely see more streams than before if nothing else and commentary would be much easier.
I think if you queue up for tourney and two or more people on the team have a PVE title visible, you should be allowed to abandon the tourney in the prep area and have it resume “looking for players” =P
In the case of “Combat Healer” visible, just one player is required.

GW2’s halloween is still the best seasonal event I’ve seen in any MMO.
I wish Lion’s arch looked like that year round.
The thing with this temporary stuff is they’re well on their way to having a year of “temporary” stuff that can be available every year at x time.
I know flame and frost isn’t a seasonal holiday, but it could be used as such.
Tarnished Coast for RP.
Roll a guardian. Not that it’s the only support class but it’s a profession really designed from the ground up for it and people will want you around.
When you’re on TC, visit Divinity’s reach. Not the only spot for RP of course, but there’s a good amount of it there and you’ll probably be able to find out more about RP guilds etc in that zone.
Instead of storing multiple items, why not just make them item unlocks? Where we click an unlocked skin and can then apply it to a pvp item as much as we want.
I’d rather the pvp locker just unlock the skins for use, rather than using them up like normal stuff.
Like click an unlocked item in your pvp locker and then click a pvp item in your inventory to change the skin, usable infinite times.
They actually talked about doing just that like 6 months ago in a dev post.
It’d be nice if hotjoin was just 5v5 from the beginning. 8v8 is, and will always be a zergy mess. These custom arenas can’t come fast enough, hopefully they are implemented well.
While I like tournaments I like the 8 v 8 hotjoin style too. It’s fun just getting in there and brawling sometimes. Also stuff that’s not normally optimum can be fun and effective in the big hotjoin brawls (like zerker warriors, staff eles etc)

I think when the dev said “replace” there he was referring to the fact that custom arenas can fill the same function. Not that hot joins were being outright removed in favor of custom arenas.

I think what we have going is about right.
It can be extremely difficult to get stomps at crowded nodes without stability. Even in the current setup WITH the safe stomps available, it’s common for it to be desirable to DPS a downed player down. It’s not so easy to always save those cooldowns for the various safe stomps when you’re in a brawl at a node with several people.
There’s also the matter of being blasted with burst by a couple people while trying to stomp someone. Sure that doesn’t apply to stuff like mist form, but it’s not like every stomp is always protected by invincibility.
I would still play, but not as much.
This would be nice until people exploited it.

The weird thing is the 200 rank you get for winning in tpvp doesn’t even apply towards your title achievement track. So if you tpvp much and win a good amount you can be in a situation where you’re rank 35 or something and not even have the avenger title yet.
I’m going to be very close to 40 before i get the Avenger title. I don’t even want to know what rank I will be before i get Ransacker etc. I think at least that should be changed to total rank points instead of point per match. It would also be nice to up the rank points per win in tPvp a bit.

It actually feels like you’re playing an MMO.
The fact that there’s a lot of events so you have random stuff to do while hanging out helps.
I’d be fine with that kind of gameplay personally, but I think it would cause less people to jump into WvW.
It seems like it’s company policy that whatever is most requested, must be put on hold so features a minority enjoy can be worked on instead.
Seems like this game is a dev or two short in several areas of the game.

I play every day anyway so not really forcing me to login or anything.
Presumably they’ll add more good stuff that takes laurels. Ascended or otherwise.
There isn’t really much that could be measured on a PVE leaderboard unfortunately.
Having leaderboards for dungeon clear times is fine. Have a leaderboard for each path, maybe people can have some fun with that.
Beyond that though, there isn’t really much. Maybe a fractal leaderboard for highest fractal level achieved.
For WvW, could have a WvW rank leaderboard (for individual players WvW level, currently they just have the server rankings). Surprised they didn’t add that one already.
Should add an sPVP one too for pvp rank. The tourney one is fine, might as well add one for regular pvp rank too, so people that just run hotjoins or something can try to top that one.

I wish the pvp monthly took longer…but gave a good reward too.
Not that I think people should have to do massive grinding to finish it already, but it’s TOO fast atm. With a little luck you could clear the whole thing just running hotjoins for a while one day.
That’s the way it works if there’s enough people around for it to put you against said people.
In reality, you’ll often just be playing whoever is available, which can mean premades well above you. Of course if you’re solo queueing you’ll probably lose those, but the opportunity is definitely there.
Should add some WvW armors and then just put them on the laurel vendor too.
Make sure to tag on an extra ecto cost and/or a high cash cost as well for those that buy with laurels. Since that was fine for accessories to get people to do the guild events, this should be fine for say helms and shoulders to get people to do WvW!

The people that came before you aren’t all going to keep playing.
If you want to get a leg up and “catch up”, you can do the spvp daily every day too. Less likely people will do that one too. If you want even more, do more than 5 of the daily categories for the PVE daily for a few more achievement points.
…or try to just not care, because it’s a leaderboard that doesn’t matter.
You weren’t going to top it anyway.
