In the sources, you can pick and choose which aspect to view if you so choose. But the link alone is enough information should you not want to view the PDFs in the source link.
Cheers. Still having problems with the wordings in those articles, and the charts in the PDF are as clear as mud.
Do they mean 64% of sales were Asian since release or just that last quarter? The latter seems more likely.
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.
North America and European customers make up a combined total of only 13% of the GW2 playerbase. 64% of the players are Korean. This is factual information published by NCSoft. The numbers speak for themselves.
Do you have a link for those figures?
Please note, I’m not saying you’re lying; I’d like to see the document those figures were published in.

I won’t play human females because they’re far too over-sexualised.
The general appearance is bad enough, with the majority of faces being disturbingly young with sexual pouts, but the idle animations finish them off for me.
When doing nothing, human females in GW2 look like street-walkers.

Good point!
I would also suggest that the resulting item with the cloned appearance is account bound. The original can remain unbound if it was to start with.

Yeah, I wasn’t sure of the maths of how Force compares to Bloodlust, so just threw 125 out there as a starting point.
Maybe +5% of your total condition damage, much like Sigil of Force?
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.
Where we have Sigil of Bloodlust and its contemporary Sigil of Force, Sigil of Corruption doesn’t have a similar contemporary sigil that just gives a flat condition damage bonus without stacking kills.
Therefore, I propose a “Sigil of Suffering” that gives a straight, unconditional +125 condition damage.

There’s a nice drop-down menu functionality in the inventory pane that lets the player “hide” their bags, so that the inventory appears as one big pane instead of many different ones.
Can we get this functionality added to the bank as well?

This one hit me this morning.
I don’t know about you guys, but I hate how using a transmutation stone necessitates the destruction of one of the pieces of gear involved in the process.
The reason you’re using the stone is to get the appearance of one item onto the stats of another.
So how about a new type of stone, slightly more expensive than the fine transmutation stone, that clones the appearance of one item onto another, leaving both in-tact?
I’d buy a shedload, that’s for sure.

Anyone defending Thieves and saying that they’re not overpowered and that people just need to learn to play is ignoring one vital fact:
In creating a purchasable consumable that is basically for combating one particular class, ArenaNet themselves have admitted that Thieves are overpowered.
After all, do you need to buy a special consumable item in order to beat Warriors reliably in WvW?

I do have massive problems, especially with humans, how everyone looks like a supermodel.
I want fat characters, old characters, bald characters, hairy characters, emaciated characters, spotty characters, amputee characters, cross-eyed characters, wall-eyed characters, scarred characters, UGLY characters.
A good ugly character can look like they have more, well, character than the generic beauties in the game at the moment.
Oh, and I want the magnificent handlebar moustache that the Norn WvW BLTC representative has.

That’s weird, on my machine during preview, the Jade skins have higher detail than anything I’ve seen in the game to date.
I’m not at home at the moment, so I’ll have to post a screen grab when I get back.
But I also had a ticket drop from a regular coffer last night, so I can check the in-world texture against the preview.
Last night was an incredibly lucky one. I had the holographic dragon wing cover drop from a random mob while doing Grenth too
And not a single percentile of magic find on my character!

Superior Rune of the Warrior lowers weapon swap cooldown by a further 1 second.
If you have that and Fast Hands, that means you can weapon swap every 4 seconds.
4 seconds is below the cooldown for Versatile Rage.
What’s not to understand here?
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.
It’s a nerf because it makes Superior Runes of the Warrior a lot less powerful.
That’s why this is a knee-jerk nerf; they didn’t take that into account.
They should make it a 4 second cooldown instead of 5.

I like Hammer and Longbow with 30 in discipline for almost constant burst skills and massive Might stacking through using Earthshaker to blast finish into Combustive Shot. Arcing Arrow also generates Area Might when fired into Combustive Shot. I can quite easily maintain 14 stacks of Might by myself.
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.
While the burning inflicted by Combustive Shot will have its damage controlled by your Condition Damage stat, would I be right in saying that the “Pulse” damage is controlled by Power?
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.
The ridiculous thing is, I’ve spotted these 2 major problems after only having found 4 projectors this morning. I can’t believe this got through QA.
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.
Also, get rid of the KD on activation. If there are lots of people around the projector, the person who activates it is unlikely to get any kill credits as the holograms will be dead before they recover from the knockdown.
Ye gods, this is insanely bad design.
Edit: I’m also seeing suspiciously bot-like behaviour from a lot of players. They’re appearing right next to projectors just before they reset, killing the holograms then disappearing again.
Has the API for timing these things been released? That’s the only way I can see these people are able to do this so accurately.

Dear gods Spiral Architect and Vol, did you even read past my opening sentence?!
I was stating that ArenaNet’s anti-bot measures hurt players more than bots!
I was stating that even though I don’t like farming, I’m actually on the farmers’ side regarding drop reduction!
Epic reading comprehension fail!
Edit: Dear Grenth, Kain too.
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.
I’m pretty anti-farming, and find it hard to understand people who claim to enjoy such a monotonous activity.
But there’s one thing that has perplexed me about ArenaNet’s implementation of DR in GW2.
Ostensibly, it was implemented as an anti-bot mechanism.
But if that was the case, why does ANYTHING drop once DR kicks in?
The porous bones that drop once DR kicks in may not be worth as much as T6 materials, but they can still be sold by farm bots, which then results in them selling gold for cash.
In effect, by implementing this cack-handed form of drop reduction, ArenaNet are driving their players into the arms of gold sellers.
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.
I don’t like skipping mobs in dungeons at all, but no matter how much I’m against it, I have to begrudgingly admit that ArenaNet’s design allows for it, be it a conscious decision on their behalf or not.
If they really want to stop skipping, they just need to look at games like Painkiller, where progress halts until every last enemy in an area has been disposed of.
And in doing that, I think it would highlight the problems with their dungeons even more.
People want challenging encounters that don’t take up a huge amount of time; something that will take 15 minutes of their time all-in. Much more than that and fatigue and frustration start to set in.
So different “paths” of dungeons could be split into 15 minute sections, with the aim being maybe an hour maximum.
Something else they don’t allow for is downtime; after a particularly challenging fight, more often than not you’re straight back to fighting something else difficult.
They should look at allowing more time to recuperate between fights, maybe padding it out with in-game exposition (NOT CUTSCENES). Nothing too lengthy, as when repeating content, this fluff gets annoying. But it needs to be enough to allow players to wind down.
And one of the biggest problems GW2 faces is one of communication.
Guilds and friends will regularly use a third-party app such as Teamspeak, Ventrillo or Mumble. But when you’re recruiting randoms for a PUG run, you’re back to relying on text. This can result in tension as people say things in text chat that may come across as rude or elitist. Inflection is lost in text.
A lot of people also won’t bother to explain tactics and will just run on and get frustrated when others aren’t following.
You can ask people to join your voice chat, but it’s inconvenient for you and them, possibly requiring the transferal of a lot of technical information very quickly. The person may not be familiar with the voice app you use, or they may not want to install the program on their computer.
Which raises one of the things I was most surprised about when first playing GW2.
I couldn’t believe that such a modern MMO had no built-in VOIP. It’s a massive step backwards.
I think that if they implemented in-game VOIP with comprehensive channels, we’d be a lot better off and groups would have an easier time of things.

Head cleaver – leaps at your foe in an attempt to burst its head. This has an increased chance to crit. In addition successfull attacks dazes your foe. X Damage , Y Yards.
No need to call it “Head Cleaver”, Guild Wars 1 already had a very similar Elite skill called Decapitate. However it was rarely used as Eviscerate always outclassed it.
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.
And PvE doesn’t mean dungeons. But if you’re going to start talking about open world? Please don’t even start saying that supporting or tanking is any more beneficial to the faceroll zerg. Just don’t.
Not very familiar with Grenth then, are you?
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.
Go to GW2LFG and show me anywhere that specifies “LF Support Guardian”, then. They aren’t any more requested than any other class.
Tip: GW2LFG isn’t a representative sample.
It consists of people who:
1: Know it exists.
2: Run dungeons regularly.
Oh, and a brief glance over the front page of 125 entries reveals that the majority of entries requiring zerker warriors are CoF.
Indeed, I’ve also managed to explicitly prove you wrong by observing a Fractals request for a Guard (heal).
Even then though, it just goes to prove that people who run dungeons can quite often be horrible examples of humanity, with lots saying “no noobs plz”.
Do you realise how hopeless a requirement that is?
What anonymous player on the internet is actually going to say “Man, I better not join those guys, I’m SUCH a noob!”?
Oh, and finally, PvE does not necessarily mean dungeons. A lot of people seem to think it does, but those people are wrong. Dungeons are a subset of PvE, one that you can very happily ignore with no detriment to your enjoyment of the game. And in the vast, VAST majority of PvE, zerkers really aren’t required. In fact, in world meta events, particularly those in Cursed Shore, they’re a liability.
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.
No, just NO.

What does “End Game” really mean?
Of all the genres of games out there, the only one where this term gets bandied around with any regularity is in MMOs.
I suspect that the “End Game” holy grail for those not imaginative enough to realise “End Game” isn’t necessary, is some sort of never-ending ladder of loot and drip-fed bespoke content that can be played over and over again without getting bored.
Well sorry, but that’s a bit unrealistic.
There’s plenty of stuff to do in this game, you just have to go out and find it.
Just realise that there are limits on what you can get from a game.
If you want something that offers up something different every time, try a bit of WvW or PVP. Human opponents are unpredictable and you’ll always have a different experience. Sure, you may not always win, but hey, that’s part of the fun. If you don’t expect that, you’re probably massively disappointed with life in general.
And for the majority of games out there, “End Game” means the end of the game.
Consider yourselves lucky that these developers keep churning out new things for you to do.
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.
I think the overall point remains; why do you need a tool to judge a player’s contribution when simply playing with them and observing them should be enough?
Or is it simply to boast how your DPS is higher than someone else?
And I think you may have actually missed my point too; I wasn’t talking now much damage your character did but rather how much damage other player-characters did through the buffs and debuffs applied by you to your team and the enemy.
And it really IS that difficult, especially if you know anything about how condition damage currently works, where all players applying bleeds for example, contribute to the overall stack.
Tell me, how do you accurately measure individual DPS in those circumstances?
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.
Nike also raises a point I’d like to affirm as well.
How much “DPS” do the side effects of Blast Finishers and other combos do?
They generally buff the abilities of your team-mates, increasing their DPS or durability, allowing them to dish out damage for longer. There’s no possible way you can accurately measure such contributions to the team’s overall DPS, and this is where your reasoning falls down.
People who focus on DPS meters are generally only interested in their own performance; but Guild Wars 2 is very much about how you perform as a team.
For example, my Warrior uses Hammer & Longbow. My direct damage is respectable, but not massive. However, on my own, through creative use of combos, I can stack 14+ stacks of might for the team quickly and efficiently. Any meter that measured my character’s DPS would not be taking into account my contribution to the team’s DPS.
My Mesmer generates lots of Chaos fields regularly that result in team members frequently getting Chaos Armor. Chaos Armor gives the bearer random boons and anyone striking them suffers random conditions. How do you accurately gauge my Mesmer’s DPS?
My Thief and Necro generate Dark fields which result in life steals for teammates using skills in them.
Do you begin to understand why simply measuring an individual’s DPS is futile when judging their overall contribution?
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.
My third argument responds to concerns of elitism, how having a dps meter could lead to people with lower dps being excluded from groups. I contend that this elitism already exists in the status quo, except currently people are being denied spots based on gear rather than dps.
Just because some people currently enforce this execrable group culture doesn’t mean we should whole-heartedly embrace it.
In other words, just because some people vehemently say something is so, it doesn’t make them right. Like the Flat Earth society or Creationists.
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.
Thanks for the response Gaile.

I hated levelling my Ele. In fact, after levelling my first 2 characters, I pretty much hated levelling the remaining 7 and increasingly used crafting, with my last character being entirely levelled by crafting.
What others have said is right in my opinion. After initially levelling even just one character, the novelty wears off, and you quickly realise that the trait system used in GW2 is not optimal until you’re at 80.
You can’t experiment with builds prior to 80, as you don’t have all the tools necessary.
In contrast, I love all of my characters at 80, although still find the gearing system almost critically broken and catering far too much to the traditional MMO crowd who believe you should have to put in hundreds of hours in order to get best-in-slot gear.
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.

Hiya;
I’m quite hot on reporting what I think are bots and people using offensive language in chat, but I have made a couple of mistakes in my time; a player I thought was a bot may all of a sudden strafe or dodge (something bots generally don’t do), or I realise after the fact that I’ve reported the wrong person for another’s verbal abuse.
Can you guys add a “Rescind Last Report” function?

I’m unsure, so I’ve gone with Sigil of Force instead, just in case. But yeah, this would be nice to know.

Would it be considered OP if the idea behind Mobile Strikes just got rolled into the profession as a whole, so that all Movement skills break immobilize without the need for a trait? After all, it’s not like you can constantly use Movement skills; there ARE cooldowns.
Warriors ARE supposed to be the frontline melee class after all, and this would really help that.
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.
If they buff burst, my current build will be an ANIMAL. Hell, it already is. I constantly burst the way it stands at the moment, switching between Combustive Shot and Earthshaker, generating shedloads of Area Might as I go.
Adding MOAR BURST would make me giggle maniacally and possibly do a little happy dance.
