Why so you can exploit more mining/farming? No It needs to be like this.If you and your “friends” cant understand that then there is something wrong.
If you cant come together there is an issue but it isnt with the game. This is even free for the past 2 months and shouldnt have been.
Sever pop needs to stabilize and find a correct level first then balance out merging ect a little later. By then Guesting should be up and going.

I agree that it is a poor design and plain annoying. For being the level 80 area it is just not fun at all.

Please find a better way that doesnt involve attacking the players in order to deal with The problem

Maybe a dev could post an overview or outline of what the vision or goal or even how they see things. It is just very difficult atm.

Now there should be a bonus for the top 3 or 5 contributors – yes that I can agree with.

But instead of fixing the game they are going to add more bugged and non functioning content.

I do it because it is the only way to make money right now. I turn on music turn my brain off and auto attack.
There is no fun or skill in it just grinding hoping for gold. As soon as I hit 80 that is where i was. Sad and sorry state of affairs.
I still have a personal story to do by why bother? I have to fight the bots and gold sellers to just stay ahead in this game or I fall behind. They have taken a toll on the economy.Anet doesnt care or they sure would have communicated that there was an issue and they were looking at fixing orr so I am left with “working as intended”.
I just dont know any more and that is disappointing to say the least.
I dont see a vision or direction for this game at all.

It is very demoralizing to see them continue without effort while I struggle to try and make money. They manipulate the TP for gain as well.

It all depends on what you are looking to do. Mainly for creating recipes for high priced items but also things off the beaten path. Just check reddit or search here for all the important stuff that suits your fancy.
But if you are not a fan of Random WTH is this? then stay away.

That is the point right? it has nothing to do with achieving it with work but if you X amount of $ you can have it. It has nothing to do with work and dedication but simply dumb luck at the forge and/or paying real money. Unless you bot or exploit which I believe 85% of the current owners did.
There is nothing legendary about the process and it doesnt reflect anything except you were lucky or paid money plain and simple. You cant earn it in this game but buy it yea sure no problem.

Can do something about the RNG on Legendaries precursors while you are around there please.

My guild died so I elected gasp… to move down the ladder. I started on blackgate but took a 2 week break (wvw) because of former. I dont recognize a single name in there since I came back. My thought was to help the pop stop the bandwagon and maybe have fun.
I will let you know how it turns out.

I want an endgame that works – please fix Orr (bugs)
fix hacking and transfers in WvW (get rid of pve)
Balance spvp
Give proper rewards for dungeons.
Maybe fix the bot and legendary issue but hey the first few would be nice.
I dont even need new content just stuff that works.

This is one of the reasons I stop going into WvW and the fact that after 2 weeks I dont recognize any of the names after a break.

Actually the way I see it most people who have one are exploiters. I see the legendaries as a mark of shame. (granted not all exploited)
Because Anet chose to not crack down on bots, exploiters, goldfarming ect they opened the door of illegitimacy. This wasnt an epic toil but something gained due to a bug.

We all dont have the same ability to obtain this and we are not all equal.
Will I ever decide to get one? who knows but why bother I wont buy gold and I dont cheat.

At this point players are not equal. Those who cheat exploit and bot get the legendaries plain and simple. I have 0 respect for most of those who have one now cause they didnt earn it plain and simple. It is a very sad case in deed.
If all are equal and all deserve a chance at obtaining a legendary then pull the RNG otherwise we are not equal.

In one of your posts you stated that this is one of our goals. Well at this point I can quit the game and bad mouth it. Buy gold off of 3rd party to purchase the precursor. Simply run a bot to help with things and offset the RNG.
There is no endgame right now – Orr sucks, WvW is a mess,Spvp is unbalanced, and Dungeons are a waste of time.
The only thing left is getting a legendary weapon your most epic of ideals. Well guess what – even if I grind day in and day out do everything right I may never get one. Why RNG. DO you want people to keep playing?
Why not treat us all equal and not force people to use exploits/gold sellers to obtain your epic ideal.
Hard work and dedication to the game does not equal the goal. The other options are not good ones. Your move Anet.

TLDR:I in no way want anything handed to me – I am happy to grind away day after day but RNG is BS and will kill the game.

Dont forget at least 40% of the pop bot so there is that issue. Anet doesnt care and wont do anything about the issue. Leads me to believe why bother going for a legendary.
You will only waste time and money and dont have a chance against the cheaters.
Anet needs to really start stepping up and looking after things before the legit people decide to stop playing all together.

Anet has an idea buy gems or get it from the gold sellers or risk it and run a bot.
I have never had an exotic drop yet.

I grind events in orr and sell everything to make a little $ but it is slow and tedious work.
Yes it does kill the game. Since there is nothing else to do at endgame just embrace it or move on.

I have this issue and it sucks. I am blown off my chair because of the sound.
The event plays at 1000% higher volume than my settings.

How can this even be allowed to override my settings? I also get the alarm but by reducing sound quality slider fixed it.
Some events I rush to shut the game off and is a miserable experience.

Yes there were bots right from the start of the game.
Up to 40% of the pop bot not full time but still.
Yes they are destroying the economy.
Anet isnt doing anything about them except forum posts.
Now the media are getting involved and publishing articles about it.
Also about the racism that is being let go as well.
Most of the pop is gone – other than orr zones are empty (my guild died)
I hope anet starts to take thing seriously soon and work on killing the bot problem
legalizing it and making $ or turn the economy over to the players.

I hope they ban people or give us all the equivalent in gold because I am so sick of these exploiters getting away with things. It is bad enough with the botters left to run wild and destroy the economy. The hackers run rampant in WvW so I have little hope anything will be done.
Maybe it is time to start frequenting the botters forums and working with them as working with anet has proved useless.
Or simply walk away from the game like most of the people I know.

I can tell you now that the glitches and the camera stuff irritates me so much that a basically skip content because I am tired of it. It is hard enough to fight creatures, environment and other things. Then to go and add camera and other glitches it makes things unbearable for me. I stay away from enclosed spaces because of how bad the camera is. You should never have to fight a third element – design.
I agree most people dont understand this and laugh at it and call you names – well if we leave there will be no game to play.

I have heard reports that 40% of the pop use a bot. (some say higher). Even if you think it is lower 1/3 is a bot having an unfair advantage in gaining mats,money,kills ect.
It has gone the point of no return unfortunately. This started with Anets poor security and they allowed all those hacked accounts to run. It took them 1 month to get set out and add a slightly more robust security log in then of course they blame us Lol.

They have shot themselves in the foot and since they put all their time into Spvp and esports stuff and didnt bother about the hacks I wonder what is left. You cant have a viable esport when your game is hacked by mass minority.
My solution is to legalize it and remove the market or turn the gem pricing over to the players so we can price the goldsellers out.

It has gotten to the point now that I will just move on to another games and make sure I never buy another Anet or NC Soft product. There was such praise for GW1.

I really wish anet would get a handle on this but it is far too late and botters have built up enough inventory to keep going for a while (suspicions).
Right now things are out of control and my solution is to legalize it plain and simple. Tax and sell it – remove the market above all else.
Or Turn the price of gems over to us the players not set by anet.

I agree reset daily. However anet put all the money on Spvp and paid esports for development.
That means Pve and WvW is sent to the back of priority list. The goal is to make gem shop ding and get sponsors for Tourneys. As seen by the complaints about Orr and WvW they havent done much and dont forget about the bots.

I take issue with your assumption. Anet knew exactly what they were doing and had specific ideas/plans. When your income is based on what is sold online you have a kitten good idea of what will generate what. They planned to milk this plain and simple.
I only fault Anet for not stating it was in fact a rare item but instead they used chance.
for that they are in the wrong and people got a 2nd chance. You spent money you expected something – anything -that is not entitlement.

What people seem to forget is that Anet prayed upon GW1 past and line their pockets with this. Had they stated it was a rare drop and not simply a chance then I could have agreed with them. They didnt and took advantage of a previous relationship and burnt trust and loyalty in one swoop.
No I havent got keys nor would i buy them.It seems like a shady deal to earn a quick buck at throwing 8 years under the GW2 bus.

It is bad form from Anet for sure. They keep driving people away. When I saw chance I read no chance.
Since the fist ban for chat and name use Anet has gone straight down hill and hasnt stopped.
They blame the gamer for thier lack of security – no decoder or anything and were warned.
Condescending attitudes from staff towards gamers. Then the all out attack on legit gamers with DR and Karma reductions while doing nothing against botters and exploiters.
Not to mention the horrible state of WvW and Orr or even dungeons.They then and go and burn another bridge with the people who support this game with money.You got my 60 box money but you wont see anything else from me until things are fixed.
This just adds another reason not to support Anet.

TLDR – Even in Vegas the Whales are Comped with free stuff.

Very poor communication – the email blast shouldnt have gone out till it was live. It should have been stated that it wouldnt go live EST/EU on the 22nd.You should have said the 23 and there wouldnt have been an issue. I dont have an interest in the event but crystal clear time would have alleviated a lot of issues.
I would have preferred a working Orr myself.

I cant believe how botched this is.They should have said the 23 cause frankly that is when it will be released not the 22 with a couple of hours. That makes EU 24th Lol.

No they are not solo – please state the truth in the matter. Zones are empty Orr is a mess, WvW has collapsed with free transfers and Spvp is unbalanced.
Why do you think the big guns have come out talking now (colin)? Because people
are leaving in droves (no gems to buy) and they are very unhappy about endgame.

But I am a winner and I never lose. People arent taught to lose these days they always get a cookie and expect to win even for 7th place.

The temptation is there and so people use it. Anet is enabling this and wont do anything to stop it or help those servers that are undermanned by changing buffs.

If you change that and fix the camera issues that would go a long way in making things more enjoyable for those of us who stick around.

I see them as dead- like the game. Anet has let things go and my guild quit because of it.
WvW fell apart because of free transfers and hackers
Dungeons because of the poor loot for the effort and repair cost.
That is my experience with dungeons – not doing them.
I really hope others experience is different than my groups.

I have been disappointed by them myself. I really hope they come out with some good ones.I found the GS to be ok but my toon cant use it. They also add extra video clutter to the added spell effects which need to be looked after. In orr my screen is a mess and with legendaries added in – bang more clutter.

I never understood why people complain about professions, there is so much to learn and do. If I get hammered in WvW I think it is because he may be specd diff or was simply better atm. I try to learn from it and counter it next time.

It is funny that people say dont like it leave and L2P – look at tor and where that got them.
The fact the population has plummeted like a rock and most of the people I know have left because if these types of issues. That means there are issues!

Parts of WvW are fun but they dont outshine the failures. The underlying mechanics suck right now and need an overhaul.
2.5 weeks after launch people were asking for an expansion because things were not good. WvW was to be endgame but its not. Anet chose to put $ into spvp and neglect everything else and it shows – go thru orr or WvW issues here.
Start small stop transfers – that alone would go a long way to server stability and community.They just dont care or else something this small would have been done.

My hope is the message makes it to the decision makers to turn things around.
PS they arent coming back once they leave.

HD 5850 – waiting for the next batch of 28nm cards from both teams to upgrade. It runs gw2 just fine right now. I have a lga 2011 setup and the only thing that isnt new is that card.

They could do it but I believe Anets focus is solely on Spvp and Esports.
They think that is where the money is and that is what the dev priority is on.
