Not easier I dont think just more reliable. RNG is simply a bad way to obtain one of the most epic adventures in the game. It also gave the exploiters and gold buyers unlimited tries at getting a precursor where as everyone else was a huge 300 g gamble.
Clicking paypal or forge isnt legendary nor does it fill me satisfaction.

Na 10% are legit drops. It is just unfortunate that Anet didnt ban the exploiters at the start like they should have and dealt with botters better. You need to take that up with them tho, they are the ones that tainted the achievement – frankly yes most who have them didnt earn them.

i bought mine for 250g other for 80g and other for 50g (i like getting precursors) only own legendary hammer ..lets see.. 380g right there oh wait hammer costs around the same.

Have you read what i quoted? people generalise that legendary owners dont farm or pay the 300-400g and all are lucky people and/or got their precursors early in game. Which is totally false.
Not all cheated I think about 10% are legit and that is something to be proud of – it is just sad that Anet didnt stick to thier guns and keep the exploiters ect perm banned because now you cant be sure (slo on bots as well). I know a few people with 1000s of gold and didnt get it legitimately. I do feel bad for those who received it from a drop ect but they need to blame Anet for not dealing with bots and exploiters.

If you are willing to make legendaries even a tiny bit easier than it already is what is left legendary about them? Just remove their legendary color and make them named exotics with the patch.
Most people who actually have a legendary weapon got their base weapon early on when they sold for 15-20G.
So it’s not like it really matters.
I am sorry but opening my wallet and pressing paypal isnt legendary nor is hitting the forge button. Those who Exploited & bought gold had unlimited chances and no risk therefore the current incarnation of obtaining a precursor is flawed and an unfair process. Based off of dumb kitten luck is not fun or legendary or epic in any way shape or form.
Hopefully this will level the playing field for those who dont cheat/gamble and maybe give us a sense of satisfaction in obtaining the ultimate prize in the game. Besides there is still the clovers that require a gamble anyway.

how about buy items when they’re cheap (buying ectos at 20s is stupid), gather orichalcum by yourself (you’ll get it during the time you farm everything else anyways), make lodestone out of cores and get a part of each t6 material stack by crafting clovers?

Here is suprise for you, I know atleast 3 players that dropped precursor for themself from mystic forge and they have legendary or almost done. And few others those have precursor stored in the bank and not sure if they gonna sell it or make legendary.

You are asking for fixed way of making precursor but know anything about game mechanics, company goals or ingame economy. There are reasons why things are set up like they are now and you just dont know them. Stop making assuptions already.

I have no issue doing it if everyone else has to farm do X to get it. But to hand it out based on dumb kitten luck is horrible. It nullifies the effort one puts into the game.

In this game it is preached as attainable if you work for it and an epic adventure. The (dev blog post 1 month ago stated this.)Paypal is not legendary and doesnt require work.
Using my real money nullifies this and there is nothing epic about it. Just the stain I see of the exploiters and gold buyers waving theirs around atm.
A simple increase in supply would drop the amount of money need a lot so loosen up a slight bit on the drop rate. But they would rather keep the botters in business then give us an epic chain of events/or whatever ect for that most prized of weapons.
slowly is the answer lol. One bit of advice as well is the karma boosters are 50% less than the others so it is cheaper to run those and add 50% bonus. A gold and a bit should get you at least one to run plinx and look for guild banners to add a little extra more.
Do dailies for the jug make sure u use the booster for 50% and monthly is huge.

Because of a market shift some mats have had a huge spike in price – ie ectos so in the future keep an eye on this and use it to your advantage.
Also if you are having issues getting loot – make sure you are in a group it help a great deal. Plinx is the best + the tar and arena – that is by far the best loot loop you can in orr that I am aware of.
There is also frostgorge for blood
In the end it comes down to tag wars doing enough damage to get a loot drop then having mf to increase that loot to rare then salvage or sell whatever is most valuable in terms of price/cost.
THat has been my experience and I hope it helps you. Try not to let the bots get you down but it is hard.
It is a tag war no question and condition builds for farming are bad. My advice is get with a group to max any drops you get. Until anet changes things that is all there is to do.
It is also the other way – me fighting start of pent and get pulled 3 diff times and dead and an npc rezes me. I was the only one there and it is difficult to complete because 9 orrians cc you to hell and back.
There should be a happy medium but there isnt right now and it just isnt fun unfortunately.
They need to remove commander all together. So many people running around Pve with it for no reason. Then the people who have no clue in WvW with it just make life a mess.
Remove it all together and put in something that requires an effort other than look at what I bought because way too many people miss use this item to the detriment of the server.

Sorry but if someone shows dedication to the game they should be rewarded.
Short story grind for gold will take a long while and expect inflation to add on 25% of the starting price of your precursor from the point you start to save.
I hate it. But I’ll be there for anywhere from 200-266 game hours just to buy my precursor. That’s not counting lodestones, and the cost of all the 1g items you have to buy.
Dang you going for a cheap one. By time you put that time in it will be 600 gold.

Until I can get one for skill and determination I wont bother. Luck should have nothing to do with it or the fact you bought it or exploited your way to it. They hold no luster for me atm.I see them as a mark of shame right now because of how they were obtained. Who knows I how I will feel when legit ones come around.
Only a handful are really even worth considering the rest are a matter of taste at least for me.
It is up to you – if you dont cheat/buy gold then it is a hell of an accomplishment but is the time worth that picture in the window?
Anecdotally:
They wont come back. My friends and guilds didnt come back for Halloween. Only 1 of about 50 checked in for about 1 hour.
Once they are out the door they are done. The guilds site was scrubbed of gw2 as well.
Yes I am on the verge mainly due to RNG on Legendaries – havent really gone for one but franky no matter what I do I wont get one unless I buy gold from seller or get dumb lucky. Not based on hard work and dedication but luck not acceptable.
So far we have been singled out and the qq train from teh bads is all about the thief.
The sad thing is it is due to the culling in WvW that is the issue and not rendering us out of stealth. So to them it looks like perma stealth.
Instead of Aoe and dodging are main attack, (if we miss we die) they run straight to the forums QQ all over every thread. Unfortunately for us Anet will continue to nerf us till there is no more thief as they have done so repeatedly.
On my engi thieves are free tokens but people dont want to hear that or about how warr can 12k crit or mesmers porting in places ect. It is about the thief 24/7.
My advice – if you are like me and enjoy the thief keep playing and see what happens.

Just because they say that doesnt mean it is so.I transferred off a full pop to a low "high"pop server and I had trouble running plinx. The man everyone farms. We lose Pen and shelter all the time.
So just because it says it is High server doesnt mean that the pop is full – no sir it means that there is a pop issue there.
Anet needs to get on this fast because this is one thing that kills communities and servers.I dont know what the #’s of concurrency are but I can say anecdotally my friends dont play this anymore and my first guild died. We are droping pop and need things shored up.

The thief sucks for WvW now that we have been nerfed into the ground and expect further nerfs till there is no thief class left.

Anet touted this in the 2nd week as your journey legendaries. What they forgot to add is that you cant obtain one without exploiting, buying gold, or stupid luck.

Skill and dedication play no role in this and it is a sad statement.

No there arent – I went into every other forum and not One nerf thread. This is an attempt to kill the thief off all together. The bads cant deal with anything and take it out on an easy target the thief.
We are different then the other class and therefore discriminated against because of it.
