Cause rank is just PVE thing, it shows your time played thats all. How about all those ex-top players who have quitted or taking break till skilled play gets more recognition?
Most good players i know arent even rank 50, what about them? They win tourneys, outplay everyone and they get nothing, but now bunch players who just play alot more than others, do deserve something special?

no. that doesn´t hold true since rank has always been an experience, not skill measure.
therefore cuting the hard work of some players experience earned in the game really breaks the essence of the system.

It´s completely false information.
There is a group of some players standing r 71, but nothing higher than this, as it is time-constraint unviable.

Sometimes kids claim attention by stating they have seen a pig flying above the sky, but that doesn´t mean what they said is true.

We all know whats going on. Every pve player who joined the game and started pvp´ing after us, is going to reach our same rank with x10 less time played.

Developers already answered you time ago, and told you to open the chests, because there is nothing extra you going to get. Asking repetitively the same question like a kid asking daddy to buy him a toy, isn´t going to make them change their decissions.

Thats what happens when pvp development has been so bad during two years.

All we got to play was 1 game mode, and a terribly boring one.

Therefore what keeps some players is map chat flames, since the game mode isnt any fun.

Happens on every game, when there is no actual fun on playing itself, people try the fun on chatting.

After 2 years then they will introduce the new game modes.

We need more game mechanics, more builds, more game modes.

With the latest buff in rank point rewards for tournaments it is much easier to gain ranks – definitely much faster to hit r80 now than any WvW achievements :P

I went from r60-r64 in about a month and a half just doing dailies. Another 2 months to hit r70 then around half a year to hit r80 without being a strictly PvP fanatic. There are quite a few players in the 70s or very close anyways now since the December patch.

To make power prec rangers viable, the class would need a complete overhaul.

By complete I mean a complete rework on its system mechanics.
The way the weapon skills are designed, the way the pet attacks is designed, it is impossible to make ranger a bursty class like a thief or mes.

Its not just a problem of trait allocation and number buffing, its a problem with the design.

But I recognize, developers will opt out in any case to buff actual numbers in order to give some burst to ranger class. But anyway, the role of burst will always be hold better by thieves and mesmers, because of their stealth.

Ranger is best designed as a condition damage class as most of the weapons inflict conditions, small damage, and are hybrid.

Right now lot buffs would need to happen to make any other build more efficient than spirits, because spirits have everything.

1. support (swiftness)
2. Defense (protection, blind, immob)
3. Burst & offense (burn, call lightning)

skyhammer is a different map and requires different things.

think of it as if it was another game mode, but it requires skill, experience and positioning…

To the people who can’t finish the daily: Nothing has changed. You only need to finish 4 of the daily categories. Capture points, play 3 matches, a few kills and top stats.

To the people who are grinding the achievement points:
