If you want to completely avoid the giant ones then T6 and lower is where you should head. If you want a little zerg, good skirmish and decent solo play, BP/IoJ/CD/YB all have a bit to offer in each category.

There was three of us and one up lvlded thief, you two were hiding on the buffed supervisor then dediced to kill my up lvled guildie and /laugh at him. And thats just beyond pathetic. Unable to kill us we /laughed every time you two failed at pushing and killing any of us 80s and ran back to ur buffed supervisor. Then once the buff was gone, so were you warriors. Just ran away.

You guys fought well, I give you that. But to bring it up here on forums and lying about you guys killing us? Thats just sad

Oh dont get me wrong, people that know me they know I like NSP due do the high percentage of individual skill players have. Really good small team/roamers there just a server that lacks coverage.

Just that having the chance to kill devon carver sounds really fun.

I made this thread knowing there wont be any changes, and after reading what the players of said servers think about leagues. Most of them want a challenge, not stomp match ups.

I’m actually happy with the recent league change. More fun fights for my server and no servers we can stomp. But lests be honest, the top three servers in silver are more gold material than anything else.

Yes NSP, embrace silver league so we can show devon carver a thing or two.

Since it seems innevitable NA will have 3 leagues, why not make gold league made of 9 servers?

I know most of mag, sbi and SoS want to be up there in gold and silver league sure dont want them over here

While theres servers needing more people, theres servers like this, with people unable to play as they like because of queues. Transfer to low tiers, get your guild involved if the queues irritate you that bad. You’d be doing everyone a favor

Had a really fun fight today at north west tower on bp bl. Roaming omega golems rock. :P

Looking foward how week days affect this match up. I dont recall IoJ having that many weekend warriors, so hopefully it’ll stay interesting

[AR] had a blast today at CD north camp and running havoc group later on.

Bump. Now that the silver leagues has changed, IoJ sill be facing a lot of tough opponents. We will be having a lot of fun fights hopefully, just like this weeks match up

You guys are going to stomp on silver or get stomped on gold. Sbi and maguuma ( maybe DB? Heard ppl are transfering off) are the only servers that the coverage diference is huge on silver league.

Sometimes you just gotta forget about ppt and make “have fun” your main goal, ppt comes 2nd =p

yeah but u get to fight some servers u can actually beat. all we will see is t1 in every matchup. t1… how can u have fun when u sit on 60 ppt and u will try to take a tower and the 70 man zerg keeps running over u? u cant havoc u cant take no nothing. there is always 70 people ther always day and night 24/7. every matchup will have a t1 server for us.
now i hope to get tc once in a while so we can at least try todestroy their doly parade again.

I will be on NSP throughout the duration of the season. And I will be getting the meta achievement.

Devon you’re completely out of touch with the WvW playerbase. We are not some PvE crowd determined to get the next carrot on a stick Achievement. We want good fights, good competition, and the ability to create our own fun. We don’t need direction, and we don’t need guidance. We don’t want players to be forced to WvW because they are Achievement chasing care bears. We want WvW to have the mechanics to be it’s own fun.

That’s where you have dropped the ball. WvW has been limited by the core game of GW2 (how events work/reward, culling [for the first 6 months], npc scaling, etc), yet instead of working on breaking WvW out of that shell so you can do some cool things (REWARD people for defense, it’s the only way to get people to do it.) you give us PvE driven content. Are you even sure there is a WvW development team? Or is it just one person, Devon Carver, who takes things made for PvE (meta achievements) and creates a WvW variation of them?

I can personally tell you, that as a member of Yak’s Bend, who should win league #2 because of how number imbalances work, I will not be trying to get any Meta Achievement. I will be trying to find out how I can have fun when we have a +695 ppt against the lowest ranked servers. Achievements =/= fun for PvPers. Truly open and fierce PvP = fun for PvPers. Keep the Achievements in PvE.

I agree, Pve doesnt equal WvW. We’re here for player vs player content to have fun with.

Theres more to GvG and organized play than having x amoung of clases with x builds trying to listen to what the commander says. Every positioning and execution of the combo fields in the middle of combat are the game changers.

The leader cant explain what every class needs to do at the same time in a specific situation. Like i said, it requires coordination, practice and teamwork.

Theres a difference on the “skill” level needed for GvG or roaming.

A good roamer/soloer depends a lot on reaction time, skill combos, and a good build.

For GvG or any kind of organized group play however you need an insane level of coordination in order to be succesful. Its not as easy as the roamers suggest, lol.

Took sbi 2 hours to get their paper briar back by the end 80% of our guild had gotten off and only 4 guys remained xD was fun fights tonight. Specially loved our push out of tower into sbi Zerg with 6 of us vs. at least 15 and killed 7+ lol

Wvw is getting really dull for me lately. All this server imbalances week after week, stomp or get stomped is getting old. And its not just this tier or lower tiers, its every server

Thing is, almost all servers are very imbalanced population wise on every tier. I want to see how IoJ/YB/KN plays out. Maybe that could be a closer and nicer match up

YB has a much higher population than Kain does as it is now, especially with CNB moving. If anything, CD/IoJ/Kain would be a better matchup, but I hope to god that doesn’t happen any time soon.

Cnb is moving to SoS not YB correct? I do not know much about CD, you guys seem to be higher than YB so i just asumed

As for the siege thing…it isn’t so much that it bothers me that it gets built everywhere, it’s just funny how people think completely making yourself immobile gives you an advantage. It almost never works yet it happens so often. Kinda silly

That i agree with. It is silly, and prevents you from playing your class and improving.

Although, outnumbered fights a whole diff issue. Good siege placement + good crowd control equals kill zone. And thats just beauty :p
