No no .. I’m getting the money ok. I get 1 gold here, 4 gold there… what’s happening is before I used to be able to see what was sold that gave me the money, using the “items I’ve sold” dropdown on the market window. Now, it hardly ever updates, and I have no clue what’s actually sold.

The only indication I had that something was buggy was when a black dye sold for a very specific amount of money (minus the broker fees). Sure enough, when I scrolled through items listed, it wasn’t there anymore, but there was no indication of its sale on my “items sold” list dropdown.

The sold items page is not updating at all. You know how it will show you “sold 1 hour ago” or “sold 24 hours ago” etc? It remains static.

Have you tried going a few pages back in your Items I’ve Sold list? There is an issue we are aware of where sometimes the timestamp will be wrong, particularly if a lot of time passed between the time you listed the item and when it actually sold.

I would strongly suggest buying gem cards from a retailer in your area, and giving those to your friends instead. That is a much safer way to give someone a gift than mailing gold, especially since we would not be able to help you if something went wrong (if you accidentally sent the gold to the wrong player, for example).

Just a heads up for the past week or so, items have been selling and I have been getting the money for it, but on the “sold” tab, there’s nothing listed. If I didn’t know I had a black dye listed for a specific amount of gold (which I apparently sold), I’d never know what was sold … other items have sold but there’s no visual update on the sold tab, so no clue what’s been selling.

When you say there’s “nothing listed” do you mean your pick up tab is empty? If you have other items waiting to be picked up, your money may not appear until you clear it out (money is essentially treated as an item when your pick up tab is full; once you clear it, the backlog of gold and items you have will show up.

Hi Sauron,

What this means is that the item you were trying to buy was already bought out at the price you selected. To get around this, you may want to complete your buy more quickly, or click the Refresh button before you submit your purchase. You could also try submitting buy orders at the price you want. This is not an instant sale, but if your price is good enough, a seller may choose to sell to you.

You can buy gem cards at major retailers. They will contain codes that you redeem to get your gems.

If that’s the case it seems like that should be something that should be warned about. It doesn’t say “Soulbound” though, it says “Soulbound on Use”. Since it was a Mesmer that crafted it, it is trash to the character.

I’m sorry this was unclear to you. There is a warning when applying an upgrade that it will make the item Soulbound. Make sure to read these when they pop up! We do take steps to warn players that certain actions will have consequences such as this.

Have you tried clearing out your pick up tab? If you have a lot of items waiting to be picked up, no more items you have bought will appear until you have cleared it out.

So i am curious at the moment because I have had three issues occur with the TP and gem store thus far.

You can see multiple posts here in the forum of Anet confirming that the player has ordered the items and not recieved them. Yet it is not in Anets power to help them.

I’m not sure what the other issues you have run into are, but the most common cause of people not receiving purchased items from the Gem Store is because their mailbox is full. Have you tried deleting a few mails and seeing if the items show up then?

Gems should be received within 15 minutes of your purchase. They do not arrive by mail; they will be applied directly to your gem balance (press O, your gem balance is in the top left corner).

If you did not receive your gems within 15 minutes, please file a ticket at support.guildwars2.com.

Have you tried clearing out your pickup tab? There is a limit to how many items can be stored there at one time. Until you clear it, no more items or gold (gold is treated like an item in this case) from you purchases or sales will show up.

Are the items you are trying to sell Soulbound or Account Bound?

What does the text above the button say when you have selected each panel? For example, does it say “Good” or “Same Item”… something like that?

If you have contacted your bank, and it is not an issue on their end, then I recommend contacting Customer Support at support.guildwars2.com.

Are you sure you have the light toggled off? You won’t be able to see the glow changes unless your light is set to OFF.

If you bought a Makeover kit or Hair kit within the last 2 hours and haven’t received it, please be patient. We are working to resolve issues with the Gem Store.

However, if you bought one of these items back when this was originally posted, and were charged gems but did not receive an item, please file a support ticket at support.guildwars2.com

We do not allow this currently. There was a bug that popped up some time ago where people were able to do this, so what you are seeing are the old buy orders from that time that have not been removed. We are working to resolve that issue as well.

Are you sure the orders weren’t filled before you cancelled them? You can check this in the My Transactions tab under Items I’ve Bought.

At the Character Select screen, click the World Selection button. Select any server that isn’t currently full, and you should be able to transfer.

Is your mailbox full?

Maybe you should check the Gem Store now…

Have you tried clearing your pickup tab? If you have too many items waiting to be picked up, you will not receive any more proceeds (including gold) from sales until you clear it.

I’m experiencing problems trying to buy things off the BLTP. Even with plenty of money in my inventory and plenty of the item in stock the ‘Buy’ button remains gray and unclick-able. I have tried viewing multiple items on BLTP but I still cannot click the ‘Buy’ option.

Looking at your screenshot, you do not have any money in your inventory. You cannot buy items using money from your bank, you have to have it on your character.

The permanent items are rare, but the nature of random chance items means that you could get lucky and get a rare item after opening two chests, or… you could “roll” badly and open hundreds of chests and not get one. That is the way random chance works. However, Black Lion Chests do give useful items every time you open them. You may not get that elusive rare item you hope for, but you will get something you can use. As always, we do not encourage anyone to spend more money in the Gem Store than they are comfortable with.

We are unable to accept Discover as a payment method. I apologize for the inconvenience. As an alternative, you can use PayPal, or visit a major retailer who carries gem cards.

If you want only a very specific number of gems, you can always use the currency exchange.

Thank you for your suggestion. This is something we are looking into.

You are receiving a discount when you buy 5 keys for 450 gems. The base price for one key is 125 gems. 125 X 25 = 3125. 1560 is slightly more than 50% off of 3125, so you are receiving a 50% discount off of the base key price of 125 gems, at 62.4 gems per key.

This is an issue we are aware of and are working to resolve. Until then, you can avoid this problem by clicking on the search suggestions with your mouse, rather than using your keyboard arrows/enter key.

If the button is grayed out when trying to buy items, make sure you a) have sufficient funds in your inventory to cover the cost, b) the item is actually available, c) the value in your buy order is above vendor value, and d) you have entered a quantity between 1 and 250

Make sure you have cleared out your pickup tab. There is a limit to how many items you can have there at one time. Until you clear it, newly purchased items and gold from sales will not appear.

When you list an item on the Trading Post, the Projected Profit number shows you what you will receive after the 10% sales tax. Make sure to take that into account when you set your price.

Can you be more specific about the problem you are having? Are you able to see the items but not able to buy/sell them? Are you seeing an error message?

Please make sure your mailbox is not full. You will not receive any more items through the mail, including gem store purchases, until it is cleared.

Personally this is one of my favorite things to buy in the gem store. 5/250 gems or 10/450 gems. They are an ingredient for the Mystic Salvage Kit, one of the best mystic forge recipes in the game, and totally worth the gem cost, IMO. Great way to salvage rare items for ectos and it has an 80% chance to recover upgrades. Of course if you have the profit margin, the Black Lion Salvage Kit can be a good investment too.

If your pickup tab is very full of items, you may need to clear it before more items will be delivered. If that does not solve the problem, please file a support ticket at support.guildwars2.com

Please keep in mind that we will only provide support when the Trading Post is accessed through the game. Unofficial methods of accessing the Trading Post will not be supported, so keep in mind that you do so at your own risk.

Are the items Account Bound as well as Soulbound on Use?

Can you provide more information? What screen are you on in the Trading Post when you are unable to sell your unidentified dye? Are you seeing an error message?

This was around the time we were deploying some fixes to the Black Lion Trading Company. Some users may have experienced issues with the BLTC during that time. Is this still happening?
