I just had a pug without any eles try to LOS-stack on Shoggroth.

I guess that’s the other side of the “I won’t stack cause it breaks my immersion” spectrum, the “stack every boss even when there’s no point” guys.

Where’s the problem in stacking Shoggi without an ele? We do that often, works just as well. With enough immobilize it just keeps him from going back underground fast, giving you a bit of space when the immo runs out for whatever reason and you have that one sec cd on it.
Doesn’t help if your pugs were only spamming 1 though.

So I guess we can once again search for hidden changes made in dungeons?

Imo the easiest spot is the “pillar” to the right, you don’t even pull all the clones. I assume that it takes much longer than using the other two spots, but if you only want to finish it, it gets the job done.

I can see why you are not satisfied with your current setup. it isn’t terrible, but it is lacking something.

The cabalist is definitely a no-go. Maybe the Orr karma coat? might go well with the skirt. but I don’t really like the skirt tbh (unless it’s on my asura!)

Also, if Honor of the waves chest doesn’t give you that weird belly shirt thing, it might look okay. All in all, that skirt is tough to match. Perhaps Trickster, maybe. Hm.

@Spoj and Taku: I actually had the T3 but ditched it, because the whole “Sylvari have to wear cultural or TA”-thing was too generic for me. I’ll prolly give it to another character some time, but my main won’t wear it. I also should’ve mentioned that I already have a full armor set and it’s just a second one where I want to use the skirt. Ty for your input.

It’s simple. Just gather all the Arah-NPCs at Shoggi and let them stand on the holes. If they refuse to, just tell them they’re allowed to pull the whole dungeon, that’ll change their mind for sure.

Since I was supposed to move the discussion into this thread, I’ll do just that.

This is the provisory combination I’m using I’m not completely satisfied with that. Don’t mind the dyes either, I just dyed it in a style like the aetherblade pants are dyed to begin with.

As for the attachment, that’s how the pants would look combined with cabalists @Lilith. Dyes are just picked in order to see the different details.

Actually more than just Simin in P4 get stuck easily. Balthazar and Lyssa do too. It’s sad -.-

Kaisar usually debugs after 75% though and Farnaz… Yeah. He asked for bosses bugged by luring them into a corner and you don’t do that with those two.
I’m just glad that you have to “force” those bosses to get stuck so that you still can fight them normally.

The specific challenge of this tournament pretty much rules out blatantly selfish classes like the Necromancer. Besides, the Necromancer just has so many problems in PvE! Trust me, one of my mains is a Necro, and I feel your pain!

My blood pressure is atleast 150/90 right now. Sometimes I feel like running absolute crap just so pugs can see the utter crap they are running but that probably wont do anything because they are most likely blind and stupid.

I’ve hosted several arah groups before labeled as “experienced speedrun (berserker gear only)” where i ran on my full healer build cleric ele and nobody even questioned anything, even with me having Benevolence stacks and chocolate as food.

The last time i did that it took us about 25 minutes to even get past hunter/crusher.

Most people don’t even look at the party-window. Holy crap though.

Today I ran a lvl 50 with 4 other pugs and I got nothing, but that’s not why i’m making this post… One of the pugs got a fractal sword skin. I was really happy for him first, but then he said it was his 3rd fractal sword skin, so he deleted it :/
Now, i’ve been running fractals everyday since the fractured release, never got a fractal sword, and RNG hits again. A fractal sword dropped and someone who already have the skin got it?!? :/
it’s not the first time it happens and it needs to stop. WoW’s raid’s reward system is really better in term of design because if you already got the skin/item that dropped, you actually leave your group members a chance to have it!!

From what I’ve seen, new people actually flock to those groups in hopes they’re the only new one in the group so they can be carried through/it doesn’t fall as much into weight that they don’t know the dungeon.

No, my level 5 guard entered arah. The level requirement is there to tell you that the mobs inside the instance have that level (or a higher one) and you should have said level too in order to not get completely wrecked.

Soloing makes you see the whole depth of each encounter. I like it (and low manning).

You can try AC 1, AC 3, CM story, CM 1 CM 3, TA Story, TA Up, SE 1 (?), Arah Story, Arah 1, Arah 2, Arah 3 and Arah 4.

SE 1+3 can both be soloed, yeah. Arah 1 requires 4 people for Shoggi. Fractals can also be soloed, mostly.

Longer fights = higher chance to make mistakes = u ded.
Berserker-Players usually are more aware of what skills enemies use, so they dodge accordingly = u not ded.
Also, less time for doing mistakes adds up to that.

For example I helped out a few people who are as play how you want as it can get (support guard with signet of mercy, scepter/shield and staff as the only weapons he owns) etc, they died all the time. I survived, playing berserker.

This. So much this. I’ve seen a lot of horrible builds (“full apothecary support staff camping guard” etc) so I pretty much don’t mind those anymore. But if people don’t know their kitten, don’t listen, kitten everything up and in the worst case, even act like they know everything and are gw2 gods while getting downed by a single trash spider in AC (had that happen…) my finger gets all itchy and wants to kick someone.

I doubt that this qualifies as “small thing” anymore though. :P

Well I’m not saying arah is harder I’m just thinking it’s a lot more well known. We can see groups not even consisting of speed runner dungeon guilds participating. Aetherpath is a very niche path. And yeah I understand the fractal reason. But maybe things like mossman or bloomhunger with no reflects or absorption (as someone else suggested).

The best thing would prolly be an all new path which will be used for the Tournament where all teams run it for the first time ever and then see who manages to do it the fastest/with the fewest deaths etc. – This most likely can’t be realized though.
