Two things. 1- Are they really trying with these ugly armors? What is this crap… 2- Is the dungeon permanent or another mini dungeon bs that will be gone in ~2 weeks? I think it’d be a bad idea to change it. This gives these weapons distinct weaknesses which makes them more interesting to play against, and more rewarding to play properly. If you don’t like being ineffective at short range with these weapons, save your 2-5s or use your weapon-swap?
No, all this makes you do is stay across the map and spam (while mostly not even hitting your target if its moving on ranger’s LB) 1. If it was one weapon attack with a significant damage boost or like added conditions on a long CD then it would make sense to use that skill at max range to maximize its effect. This would also result into a more dynamic gameplay because it wouldn’t force any1 to stay at X range to deal max amount of damage.

Sure but inspiration also has skills you’ll be using in a phantasm build which don’t rely on shatter. At the end what i want is Shattered Condition with Illusionary Persona while having Deceptive evasion and that is only possible if SC is in Dueling. Too bad it ain’t happening so no matter what they do to SC i’ll always ignore it personally, sadly cuz i WANT to use it
Removed from auto attacks that is. This mechanic doesn’t fit auto’s at all. I’m fine if they keep it in the game but remove it from our auto attacks and give us a fixed damage at any range (mainly talking about rangers LB skill 1 and Spatial Surge). Let it be on utilities and other weapon skills that have a CD so this mechanic could be use strategically as it should.

This trait needs to be in Dueling or i will never use it. I want it bad, its a great trait and i’d take it over dealing higher damage for example but Inspiration tree is by far my less used tree, and when i do, its for fanta builds which makes no sense to run SC.
MMO’s sucks, plain and simple. Destiny and pso2 are the only ’mmo’s’ coming in the near future even worth mentioning, the rest without exceptions is a joke

Ignore this skill and ONLY use if you will remove stability/protection and retaliation but this is mostly for pve. Mind Stab sucks bad, just like current scepter/torch but nothing is done even 10 months later lol

I mean seriously, wth are they talking about? thousands of players were running mez/GS and not even a single one had problem with izerker and now EVERYONE does and he comes up with things that makes no sense… Are they telling us that from August 28th to Feb 26th izerker was broken (you know, when this skill was OUR best phantasm?) and now it works as intended? What is this crap lmao… Do you remember what they’ve done to imariner? Damage slice by 50% and it was shown in patch notes. They sliced izerker damage as well but this was never shown in any patch notes and from saying themselves it was bugged, now it works as intended hahaha a phantasm hitting for 900 damage what a joke.

Hmm a traited scepter just got interesting. With the CD reduction the Illusionary Counter is on a 7.5s CD and the torment lasts for 8s without condition duration additions. Without condition cleans perma torment? I can see people yelling about that one. Really like that they seem to be turning us into the GW1 shut down class that I heard so much about.

As long as it has 1 crappy stack of vulnerability i will never be satisfied. I would even take Weakness instead of **** vulnerability.

You never stated what kind of toughness you where talking about, just “enhanced”.
Get 2K toughness and I can assure you that you’ll be able to take noticably more hits than with <1K.
This. My personal minimum for none squishy builds is 1800 toughness. If i had a choice between taking toughness or Vit i’d go with toughness.

The reason we haven’t received a single new armor since launch is because its WAAAAY harder to design one and make sure its not a clipping fest. Anet is way too lazy to make something like that and instead spam you with meh to ugly looking weapon skins that take 1h to create. Its hard to believe that after 10 months not a single armor was added and they know the community did not liked (especially the medium ones) armors already available because they look generic and all the same… If they won’t add a single armor until first expansion this is just LOLZ.
I don’t have exact numbers, so I could be wrong, but if I’m not mistaken the Scepter is comparable to MH Sword in terms of damage.
Sword’s auto attack doesn’t seem THAT far ahead of Scepter’s, and besides that the only other sword attack is Blurred Frenzy.
Between Scepter auto, Illusory Counter, and the surprisingly damaging Confusion beam(not including confusion), Scepter isn’t as blown away by Sword as everyone thinks.
As for Torch, it does quite a lot in one simple attack. Traited, The Prestige can
-Remove Conditions
-AoE Blind
-Nice AoE Burn
-Stealth ( Can be traited to grant defensive boons while stealthed, great for charging mantras, our quickest method of Stealth and most reliable besides Decoy)Its just the Phantasm that needs fixing, and only barely. If it was 4x Confusion for 4 secs it’d be fine.
Its not only damage you should be looking at but the utilities the weapon offers you.
In the next patch they’re reworking at least one trait in every trait line but will we ever see our Torch and Scepter changed?

But when it comes to DPS output, they aren’t going to be even comparable to the monster truck that is a warrior. Mesmer’s strength in PvE is due to their utility, and that if well played can dodge attacks very well. And mesmers still get a role in dungeon rush teams thanks to time warp, which makes farming gold easier than 6 other professions.

This is where i wish we could see our dps at the end of a dungeon run because i believe a shatter mez with useful utilities such as feedback outdamages most everyone including 100swag spammers. If you’re doing low level fractals or easy dungeons where you can faceroll on melee without ever worrying then a warrior may be better but do 40+ fotm and mez will outdamage any warrior builds.
Mesmers can’t outdamage warriors guardians thieves or elementalists. Never.
Yes mesmer cannot outdamage anything.
Also is the best weapon to stack bleeding from clones of any weapons excluding trident.
Illusionnary Elasticity didn’t change. Standard rebound behaviour did. But I get what you mean
Decoy not stealthing is generally due to in-flight projectiles : any damage you inflict while in stealth will destealth. So a projectile fired before decoy will destealth you if it lands after decoy. Standard stealth behaviour, but I agree it is counterintuitive and doesn’t seem like expected behaviour.All in all, those might be bugs, but not mesmer specific bugs.
About Decoy… This is what happens when WoC takes so long to reach target that you have enough time to make a sandwich… If WoC wasn’t taking three centuries to reach the targeted enemy we wouldn’t have Decoy’s problem.
If this thread gets over four pages, one dev will show up with exactly one post and you wanna know what the post will be about? “WE WILL LOOK INTO IT and it should be fixed soon”, months passes by and we get more “we will look into it”. This is how they roll and in almost 10 months every1 should know it by now.

it used to be fairly interesting, glamour spec was the problem more than the condition itself. The way it was changed just nerfed many builds that were not abusing it
They could have nerfed Dazzling alone and this would significantly decrease glamour builds effectiveness. But instead, because nerfing is kewl, we got both. That’s like if we asked for anet to completely remove glamour builds from the game, except we didn’t…

Are you okay with current Confusion? Do you think devs did a great job decreasing its damage by dat 50% or was it one of their worst ideas since game’s launch? If you were a dev, would you revert it back to previous state, change how the condition works or let it weak as is?
Useless traits will be replaces by brand new hot hot hot useless traits /yay can’t wait.
The fact that it bounces on your illusions is very good the problem is that those bounces must have priorities. First priority should on enemies (if there’s two enemies it should bounce on them first), 2nd priority should be on you, then your allies (none AI) and lastly your illusions. Right now its all messes up and i expect this to be fixed in ‘only’ 7 months from now.
