Yes! There are many plans for rangers in the near future. Lets start updating under water skills first for the first 6 months and then see what happens next, okay?
not hate. people expect rangers to excel at range and they don’t. people expect rangers to be bada*s as they were in gw1, they aren’t. people expect rangers to have more than ONE FREAKING PVP build and they don’t. people expect SB/LB attacks to have more than barrage and SB’s auto worth using. Its disappointment, not hate.

but then this will stay the only mesmer weapon that doesn’t spawn an illusion. The 2sec of block given by skill 2 almost never creates an illusion in pve because mobs attack extremely slowly. At least if we decide to use blind on skill 2 it should spawn a clone on enemy location.
Skills and FA kept me playing for five n a half years, so yes i would like the 1000+ skills but this won’t happen and i’m 99.9% certain because of that reason i won’t last much over a year in this game.
yeah i know about necro skill but mes had it in gw1 so i don’t see why not in gw2 especially when Confusimg Images synergize so well together. You want a true condition weapon? Well that would be it because staff isn’t exactly one.
I agree with your opinions. You’re probably going to be torn apart by white knights that think the game is pretty much perfect the way it is and/or a moderator will probably ninja delete your thread(like they did mine) or lock it.
exactly what i was gonna say its the one or the other. Agreed with TC but i do like combat except we need MUCH more weapons and tones of new swappable weapon skills.
i roll **** da police style without condition removal. The only annoying * condition (especially when its long lasting) is Chill, i hate chiiiiiiill
they will decrease chaos storm damage by 30% to lower its amazing 47 damage/sec on a glass cannon build!
doesn’t stack last time i checked (months ago) may have changed now but nothing bad changes in gw2 so it probably doesn’t stack even 5 months after game release.
Skill 1: same BS speed and damage but clones can self generate. What i mean is, every clone will create a clone on his third attack.
Skill 2: Complete change of the skill. Remember Epidemic from gw1? That is what skill two should be! Spread target conditions to every enemy around it (with decent radius). This will make Confusing Images waaaaay more useful because you can spread 5 stacks of long lasting confusion in area and not just one enemy.
Skill 3: Its fine as is but casting time must be decreased because 3 sec is ridiculous. So i’d say something like 1.1/2sec casting time the most for this skill to be half decent in pvp.
Dunno maybe skill 1 may be a little too OP as i mentioned it but at least add it confusion on third attack and change skill two and three to be useful. A skill such as Epidemic is needed on mesmer me think and badly.
why not just make skills different in the different game modes? like in Guild wars 1, when you entered pvp, the skills changed or behaved differently in function. why not just change skills based on game mode or type?
i’m sad they haven’t announced new weapons/new swappable skills for existing weapons/new utilities and elite skills. This is what i want the most! Not use the same utilities/weapons weeks after weeks of playing no matter if i’m in wvw, dungeon or spvp… Don’t take 1 year to release new skills for us to play with or you will lose people.
what both of you have mentioned are my biggest concerns for the game currently.
i’m am starting to feel that we will be stuck with things “as is” for a long time without any meaningful or robust changes to gameplay mechanics, individual character performance, builds, options and such.
we will probably get some minor tweaks while the main focus will be for players to buy gems to purchase gear that changes build performance.

And when they put in new spells, after 3 month’s youll come back here saying these spells are boring/broken/bad.
People are just never happy. I agree we do need new abilities, but in the grand scheme of things this is so far down the priority list most likely. Bugs/strengthening the world/bots/boosting all PVP/fixing dungeons up…probably the heavy hitters. Dont hold your breath on new weapon skills.
When there’s tones of skills like in gw1 its hard to be negative because there’s always something to combine and run a new build no one else does. in gw2 its same crap from everyone you play with/against. Its like playing CoD, everyone uses same weapon(s) except this is an mmo that is supposed to have builds which it doesn’t because they’re mostly all the same or no major differences like it was possible in gw1.
A legendary item must drop from a legendary boss/dungeon and not made in mystic toilet. At least that’s how i see it.

You could’ve solo’ed or do uwsc and get everything needed in a week (if you nolifed it) or two. Making gold in gw1 was much easier than it is in gw2 where exotics drop once per century and 50% of them are acc bound…
I’m pretty sure devs are reading this thread but none will say anything about DR, just look. Five months in and we’re still talking about it… sad.
i wish heavy armor was anywhere near close to the coolness Souls series have. Gw2 has pretty boring looking heavy armors for males and bikinis for chicks….
Agreed. No new weapons/skill, dungeons, fractals… what exactly am i supposed to do after these patches come out? Nothing in them makes me hype their next big thing.
Since game’s launch i’ve been asking myself this question a lot. For example, 99.9999% of every viable mesmer build you can make (pve/wvw/dungeons/spvp) will always have traits such as Ilusionists Celerity and Deceptive Evasion. Why/what has Deceptive Evasion has to do with Dueling (crit chance/crit damage)? It has nothing to do with those. Now imagine if you could chose any available Traits in any trait lines and were only limited to Adept/Master/Grandmaster traits level. That alone would significantly increase the amount of build every single glass can have. Anyone agrees or you’re all okay with the very limited traits available for trait lines you want to take?
That would be ******** awesome! UW/FOW/FA and The Deep i would really like anet to rebuild for gw2 because i and many many others did those for years (in fact i was doing FA just before buying gw2 the day it came out) and never got tired of them and probably keep playing them if everyone haven’t moved on to gw2/

if loot is much better and at least a rare in every single chest from dungeons then yes do want but if they increase already laughable loot by a little lol **** this ****.

Swamp isn’t exactly a cake. If moss man isn’t bugged (which is 100% of times now) at 30+ he can wipe a group. At 40+ even the tree is challenging/
The reason you don’t see anyone is because gw2 has ps2 character rendering… everyone is invisible 1 meter from you.
Yes bring them and their over 9000 damage that 1-2 hit kills everything batmobile
I agree. I think all the ranger traits need to be looked at.
This. There’s tones of messed up traits that are in places where it makes no sense whatsoever but that isn’t just on ranger. All classes are messedup
its a glitch that happens. You can test it at maw. With full HP and 25 AR at level 30 maw you get down but not completely dead, it also happened to me many times that i die (no my backpiece wasn’t broken)
ranger is broken and a simple update won’t make it any more decent. for this class to shine like in gw1 they’ll have to change most every trait, all utilities but traps, all bow attacks but barrage, all elites and all other weapon skills but maybe torch and dagger.
Everything that isn’t called Mirror, Sig of Dom, Decoy, Null Field, Feedback and Blink gets no use from me.
In spvp i don’t play without sigil of energy on both of my weapons (if im not wielding a two handed wep then my offhand has sigil of energy all the time). In pve i like sigil of battle on slow * weapons such as staff and earth/fire/air on GS.
Abandoned shatter confusion 0/20/20/0/30 because i was tired of stacks tones of confusion without it (my main damage) not doing anything so i made something else. Traits are 20/20/0/0/30, 1840 toughness, 2100 power, 42% precision and +32% crit damage. Kills fast and far from squishy. Gear is a mix of Soldier/Zerker and the one from fotm with toughness/crit damage/power. iZerker hits in low 5k if it lands all its hits and some crit.
Yeah its great for now but is known as a bug and if/when this is nerfed, trident will become one of the lowest damage weapons the game has.

What do you mean? Almost everyone on this forum wants much more skills, swappable weapons skills, useful elites and more/better utilities. The only people that are fine with the tiny amount available haven’t played the game enough so to them its still ‘fresh’. I was thinking they were to add a new weapon for every class at the end of this month and they haven’t even mentioned anything for the whole year? w t f! I dunno how its even possible to spam same skills/builds for the next 12 months lol its like a torture not giving us choice of builds. Its like every single warrior spams 100b (always with GS equiped), every guardian spam GS as well, every mesmer spams sword/pistol, every ele spams d/d in spvp and staff in pve and so on. Plain boring if you ask me.
if those boxes have a high chance of getting an exotic then its worth picking them up. If they include blues/greens in that box all i can say is gg and add some whites/grays for maximum awesomeness. First time i saw the screenshot i thought it was boxes to store your armor… so it doesn’t use 2/3 of your storage space.
they were made for new comers who don’t even have a Rare set of armor/weapon. For everyone who have over 500h, jormag and the other two are a waste of 10+ minutes. I mean even if you get 1 or 2 rares in those 30-45 minutes it takes you to kill jormag, you aren’t even guaranteed to get ectos from those rares and even if you do get couple of ectos its just much more fun to do fractals and get way more rares and at least exotics don’t drop one per 7 months there.
Don’t forget confusion, i want mah confusion to kill stuff and not just be purple spirals.

They will tell us “we have plans to potentially increase rangers gameplay for pve/pvp”, we wait, patch notes released and all we get is another under water update. Lower your expectations when it comes to ranger and you won’t be disappointed.

well that’s just ridiculous… This reminds me of early assassin Shadow Prison builds which were later nerfed to the ground. So enjoy your 3 hit kills for another month or two.
I dont say theres nothing wrong, i just said it is already buffed.
Doesn’t mean it can’t get another, especially when it’s so desperately weak in 99% of PvE content.
what is the 1% that its good at? I don’t see any and not even trying to troll here… no places in the whole game (that i know of) makes confusion stand out over normal damage.
omg i hope we don’t have to wait first expansion to be able to wield new weapons and use new elite skills and utilities…
switch skills for certain situations but i personally run null field/feedback/mirror the most for conbo fields and maximum amount of shatter spam.
Staff is okay and will be great as soon as they remove invulnerability from WoC. Im not sure if its a glitch or what but combo’ed choas armor doesn’t give you protection so its not as defensive as some may think.
no able to dodge properly on autos is extremely annoying for sure.
LB has one useful skill. SB has 1.5, so see for yourself.
