I would be more than happy if all dungeon chest had a chance or dropping a legendary weapon. Even if the chance is 0.02 i’d go with that instead of getting a precursor, 100% boring map and do tones of other things that i don’t want to do personally. I want to play a dungeon and have a chance of epic skin, not craft bs…

Also, why Confusing Cry give retaliation (which scales with power) in a condition tree? There’s tones of messed up trait mesmers have that defy logic.

All Faction missions were fun and i remember spamming them on Hard instead of something like a dungeon because they were fun. Fun isn’t something gw2 campaign knows or will ever know.

I made multiple threads about this in mesmers forums and all i got is dumb people telling me “learn to time your confusion” haha timing a shatter on 5+ enemies when you can’t even see clearly if they’re using a skill in a cluster**** of skills being used lmao. A lot of people say “its fine as it is” and those people probably don’t have a mesmer OR not their main and probably never even tried to run a pure condition mesmer. Back on thread, yes confusion needs to be buffed and by a lot. I wish devs were actually reading this because i NEVER seen a dev comment on pve confusion. Here’s what confusion could do: Increase duration by 200% (that way those 9 stacks of confusion you can easily give will actually deal damage more than once…), let confusion crit (this could be the only condition that can crit) while at the same time increase its duration by at least 50%, when confusion ends it explodes and deal aoe damage equal to the maximum amount of confusion X enemy had (that way it doesn’t matter if confusion last only 4sec ‘speced’). Another idea i was thinking is, increase duration by 50% and every enemy suffering from confusion also suffers from degen (would/could work like hexes from gw1) and that degen obviously needs to deal decent damage or it won’t make enough differences.

agreed and i don’t think spvp will ever get as fun as gw1 pvp mode. We need a completely new pvp mode! My vote would go to a 8-12v8-12 in an attack/defend kind of game. SO pretty much Fort Aspenwood in gw1.

They should let us use our pve gear and 1) downscale our ascended gear to exotic level or 2) include ascended gear for spvp for people to chose. Also, spvp missing on lots of mods such as toughness/power/crit damage and when that many things are missing i don’t exactly want to cap already boring points

Ranger’s aren’t bad, They’re just not easy to master.
GL mastering stuff with joke skills rangers have. Play 1k hours on ranger alone and go 1v1 any class (including engi and nec) against a person who knows sup and see what happens… before someone bring the “bu bu but this game is not about 1v1” YES there is tones of one on ones going on in spvp and ranger suck at that to the point its broken.
Ehh, I have multiple videos of me 1v1ing, I actually think Ranger 1v1ing is easier then Thief 1v1ing..
As for SPvP, You have one of the more powerful builds available in SPvP which is traps, which will easy people alive if fighting on points.

Ranger has ONE stun breaker, O-N-E. You know anet spent time on this class and polished it nicely. Lmao 1 freaking stun breaker and its 45sec recharge lol since game was launched i’m still laughing when i talk about rangers. Lets take another example. Longbow. What skill is useful on a longbow? One skill… Barrage. You take a longbow, use barrage and switch to another weapon without even thinking to swap back for 30sec. I don’t play nec and i heard bad things about necs. I also do some spvp and play against tones of necs and a necro is 1000x better than a ranger could ever be. Trash elites, garbage skills on short/long bows, sword, dagger, axe and why the **** are we rooted when throwing skill 4 on GS? like wtf? Torch is the only acceptable weapon ranger has (for condition builds) but you can’t run an offhand with a ******** main hand. Anet, look at what rangers were in gw1 and plz, plz copy/paste if you’re that lazy and don’t want to reinvent the class properly. A ranger is supposed to be swift=most blocks in the game, multiple evades that don’t suck, lounges and have decent swiftness which they at least do now. Ranger has range in its name, you’re supposed to be the best at that and right now they’re… Simple question, were all ranger skills made in 1 day? Seriously, how can every single skill (but barrage) on a long and short bow suck that much? Were they even testing them? Some times i wish gw2 just died and everyone went back to gw1, at least rangers were sick there.
Think you should look back over your utilities. I can think of 2 right off the top of my head. (signet of Renewal, and lightning reflexes)
Renewal is the the one i was referring to and missed signet but would you actually spend an utility slot for these two garbage skills if you’re playing competitively? I sure would not…
While i’m not a huge fan of SoR, mainly cause I run Empathetic Bond, how could you possibly say Lightning Reflexes is Garbage? Its an Evade + Stun Break + 10 Seconds if Vigor.
Its an amazing ability
Because for the extremely long CD it should be better. For example, apply camouflage after skill is being used or 2sec of quickness. For the long CD the things it does isn’t worth it.
its 45 Second Cool down, which is almost standard for most Stun Breakers in this game.
We also already have 2 Ways to get Quickness Already, another way would be pointless.
I wouldn’t be pointless, you’re ranger and supposed to be swift. Only 2sec too, no 5+ or it’ll be op. I don’t know stun breakers from all classes but those available to mesmer are much better and there’s plenty.

A nerfed gw1 paragon is better than ranger for 1v1 or any pvp. A dervish (before buff) was much better than gw2 ranger for pve/pvp/1v1. That should tell you something. Im currently leveling up a ranger because i know sooner or later anet will overhaul it (they have no choice, the class is a joke that was created in 24h or something) and i feel like im playing the weakest class you can possible create in an rpg. I never played a melee or ranged class that weak in any game. Give us utilities that doesn’t suck royally, shortbow attacks that deal higher damage and all inflict condition (burning must be one of them) and longbow——————well, have more than Barrage to be worth using… Rangers were known for good degen in gw1, why can’t i have poison that last more than 0.0002 of a sec and spammable burning?

With over 100 dyes this shouldn’t even be a discussion. Who’s gonna buy same million dyes for their alts? No one. Who’s gonna create alts? everyone. No brainer, anet.

No good. Lets say you play against someone that doesn’t suck and knows what he’s doing. You spam all your mantras then what? Are you gonna spend 10 minutes recasting them in combat? No. You won’t have any on you and damage that adds per mantra won’t be available. Or you can let one charge up for damage but then its like you’re not using your utilities… That, plus healing mantra is just……….so bad. Unless you are in wvw where healing isn’t that important and can spam at max ranges, the matra builds suck for pvp.

with the pathetic amount of req mats drop, i wouldn’t bother. But if it was significantly increased, the armor is what i would make over a weapon any day (unless it looks ugly)

Copy/paste what gw1 did. Tones of unique skins dropping only from a certain zone(s). Ultra rare skins (armor AND weapons) from dungeon chests. And every single component needed legendary weapons should drop waaaaaay more often

that is what i’ve been saying. 50 skill points joke for an infusion was a VERY bad idea and they decreased it to 10. Ectos don’t even drop from mobs and all you can do is hope for a rare and hope x2 to get ectos from one. 50 ectos is the max amount of ectos the thing should require or i will never upgrade mine. Did over 500 fractals and never even considered to get 30 AR because 250ecto is LOL for something that doesn’t even change the appearance of your backpiece (mine’s a book). 250e req should be for kitten looking weapons/armors ONLY

I ignore them completely. Looks ugly (not all tho), clips with my hair/body/armor. Waste of programming power in my book. Just the way to make them sucks. I would have np creating legendary weapons if 1. there was a dungeon where ALL what’s needed (including precursors) were drops and not 1 lodestone per 100h kind of thing and 2. do i want to 100% map all boring zones just for a skin? I don’t. People always bring the “but then it would be too easy” BS… NO it wouldn’t be ‘easy’ it would be fun as fun in playing a dungeon while progressing into your legendary and not mapping deserted zones half brain dead.

I would like for them to release a patch and give like 1000 skills for us to chose from. This is my biggest complain as of late. I want much more skills. If they give us like 1 new weapon (that’s 2-5 new skills) it will be impossible for me to play this game for years. im already tired of using same freaking skills for hundreds of hours and using the same crap for year? Not possible and boring.

I’m a gw1 player, never played another mmo nor want to and i find gw2 boring now. I like gw2 the first two months but since reaching level 80, getting all weps/armors from dungeon and the stupid DR implemented, gw2 became a boring fest. I don’t hate on gw2 because i played gw1 for years, i find gw2 boring because there’s nothing for me to do and lack of traits/skills/2nd profession makes me run same two/three builds for 1k hours. If gw2 had over 1k skills like gw1 did, even in this over nerfed boring world i’d still have some fun because of combat variations.

I feel the same. First 3-5 days were fun as ****! (i imagine betas were as fun or better) and now its dead. Five months and its dead lol. Mapped whole human noob zone and seen 1 ranger, 2 mesmers and 1 ele… in 2h i see four people. If that’s not pathetic i dunno what really is especially since its low level zones and im from JQ.

I love Mass Invis but why does it take 5 minutes to cast? Should be a 1/2 to 3/4 casting time and not more.

What i do is kinda pathetic. I do two fotm dailies per day, may do 1 more dungeon like TA and the rest im afk in LA or not playing at all. There’s nothing to do in this game and im surprised anet adds nothing for people to actually farm/do. If only a game such as dark souls 2 was out i wouldn’t even bother writing on gw2 forums. Sadly there’s nothing for me to play right now so im half brain dead while playing gw2.

Because it’s fun
This is the sole reason I do dungeons. They are the most epic content I ever played in any game to date. Especially if I expect guests, and see the timer’s up, I boot up the game, just so they can enter my apartment while a huge battle between dozens of players and
Jormag/Tequatl/Shatterer is on the monitor. Even people who aren’t into video games at all acknowledge the awesomeness of these events.

Nothing in gw2’s dragons are epic. You can stand still spamming auto attacks and win. They don’t even move lolz go play Dark Souls/Demon’s Souls and tell me those stupid dragons gw2 has are even half decently epic. EPIC doesn’t fit a creature that doesn’t move and have 2-3 attacks lmao.

This is the question i always ask ppl when im there to run ori and claw is up. The answer is always the same, “because its fun”. People don’t know what fun is? But i think the real reason is because most of those ppl are new to the game and just reached level80. Of course dragons are decent and ‘fun’ the first 5 times you kill it but after—— worst and most brain dead event gw2 has. I did my first Claw after like 1 month of not doing any dragons at all yesterday. Spent 37 minutes, got 5 blue weapons/armor kitten and 1 green talisman, kittening awesome and worth doing for some1 with over 1k hours in gw2!

Time warp in
-Dungeons: Very good and benefits the entire group. Also the only good option with a very few situational exceptions.
-WvW: Decent for a small group, something that should be encouraged so it’s less ZergVsZerg, but mass invisibility still has better uses unless it’s something like quickly taking a supply camp.
-PvP: Two things. 1) The CD is so long that it will likely only be used once. 2) The part if the playerbase that focus on pvp is so incredibly small that balancing around it is like balancing around what is good/bad in Caledon Forest.If a balance is needed then do a split between pve and pvp versions.
How could they even split it? If they half its time to 5sec and CD stays 210 wtf kind of ELITE will it be? Elite skills are supposed to be more powerful and as is, with its long * CD its far from OP like some nabs spam on forums.
