So i’m a ranger… I have no access to confusion or retaliation… Should i just run away?
You should stop wasting time on the most broken class there is. Rangers have nothing. Wait for anet to make them less ****** and run another class.

Even if you’re good on a ranger played against a thief that knows wtf he’s doing you will lose. Ranger is extremely poorly built so the only thing you can do for now is wait for anet on a complete class overhaul (if that ever happens).

Agree about Dark Souls and i played Demon’s Souls back in 09-10 pretty hardcore while playing gw1 and both were awesome and none were getting old after hundreds (gw1 after thousands) of hours. I have many hours in gw2 but its been over two months that i feel like playing just because its Guild Wars and i loved the hell out of the original. Pve here sucks for many reasons. For example, i miss farming on my 130hp derv/tera ele for certain skins that drop ONLY from certain zone. I miss having awesome pvp like FA/RA. I miss dungeons like The Deep. In gw2 i could stop playing it today and i won’t miss a single thing, nothing is memorable. I think that as of now if i stop playing gw2 the only thing i will remember the game by is nerfs. I have never played a game in 15y of gaming where devs spammed so many nerfs on absolutely everything just to bring you to their ********* gem store.

its actually a smart design. what does agony make you buy if you’re going past lev40? revive orbs. where do you get those? on gem store and anet knew there would be tones of people going for high levels simply for challenge… not to say i like this **** especially when the only way to get revive orbs is on gem store and not craftable.

Big Rigs has better story so no, gw2 has no story worth mentioning. Move to a server like JQ and you will see people in level 20 and under zones but don’t expect anyone at over lev20. Even in Orr the only people you see are those farming lodestones or couple of events. Feels brain dead to me… something is up i feel like playing that crappy beta i tried of Tera or wtf its called again…

its really bad now. you reach level 80, do certain dungeons for their items if you like skins (which looks plain ugly for the most part) and then you’re done with this game. Nothing to do. spvp is not fun at all, wvw only fun for short bursts and in pve you can’t even grind skins because there’s none and other things such as lodestones have drop rate of 0.00209920%

Not an achievement **** (not even doing these boring dailies anymore) but why there’s no fotm titles? Dragged me a** to completing all fotm achievements (500 fractals included) thinking there will be some kind of reward and what did i get? 5 useless achievement points from doing freaking 500 boring fractals (and boring isn’t enough to describe how they are when you’re over 350-400 fractals). Are they adding something later? I would like them to let us (those with all fotm achievements) upgrade fractal weapons to a more legendary looking looks (just skin change to something more epic not legendary stats).

Unbind Shift completely from pinging skills/locations/items. Disable Right Click for targetting. At least 1 new weapon for every profession. Many new armors! i’m tired of wearing same **** and no, i don’t have only 1 or two sets…

Cry of Frustration is mainly for condition builds, the pathetic amount of normal damage is,,,, bad. Why not give 2sec of burning per shattered illusion instead of normal damage? Would make much more sense and most importantly not exactly OP because cry of frustration takes 2 hours to CD. That would be a great way to improve mesmers condition builds. AOE 6sec burning and 4sec confusion would be great

Could you explain the reasoning of removing the bleed/poison/burn cap on everything?
I completeley agree removing the bleed/posion/burn cap for big bosses is needed, thats a lot of damage the cond builds miss out on but for smaller targets? 1 good build can maintain 25 stacks alone, who knows maybe more. That is about equal to a full power build and you’re asking to allow multiple people to drain a targets health beyond control. WvW would become very annoying very fast if everyone could stack max conditions on entire groups. As a condition thief, I see no problem with the cap in small scale enviroments. It’s only for large scale events.And then i ask you, if you could explain the resoning behind capping condition damage, when DD is left uncapped and as outlined earlier in this threat the 2 damage forms deal about equal damage?
Burning, bleeding and most importantly CONFUSION must be completely reworked for pve. When i hear someone saying “spend some points in power for your shatter confusion build to deal higher damage” makes me sad because confusion scales 100% with cond damage not power. Anet, come on now! You did increase its damage since beta but that is FAR from being enough, so, do something. Hopefully in the next two moths these tree conditions will work as they should have since day one.
tbh even if you increase confusin dmg in pve by 100000 times it still wont be enough for bad people, the problem is not really the damage, but that mobs uses skills way too slowly so you need extreme good timing and some luck to get 2 hits on a stack, even 1 hit can be hard at times even
I know that and i never said to increase confusion damage. Unless they increase it to 100% its not exactly damage i want them to increase but proc on all mobs and if during confusion duration it doesn’t proc one, confusion explodes and deals aoe damage equivalent to the amount of confusion the enemy had the most before confusion expiration. Or the easy way would be to increase confusion duration by 200%.

I want shortbow to apply 3-6sec Burning from a skill that takes 15sec to recharge AND 5sec single target poison that doesn’t take a week to CD.

Ranger in GW1 was great at interrupt others, in GW2 Anet should give us more stun, knockdown and knockback options.
Celestina is right, rangers in GW1 was better at PvP, but really hard to master it, rupt 1/4 sec cast skills requires A LOT of player skill.lol you can’t rupt a 1/4 skill… only time your rupts on a stupid person who spams his skill(s) on recharge.
You could by predicting when the enemy was going to use a skill (Combos, getting up after KD, 0.5 seconds after finished casting).

5-10sec rupts, bows not sucking but most importantly build. In gw2 there’s not variety, in gw1 i was still making great builds after 5 years of play time. Their unswappable weapon skills system SUCK!

Enjoyed rangers in gw1 enormously. The week before gw2 release i was gonna make my main as a ranger because they were good in pve and amazing in pvp (gw1) so thought it’ll be pretty much the same since its guild wars. Bought the game, started on ranger, played to level 18 and W T F? Kept playing, got to lev24 it felt like playing an extremely weak and useless class… Was tired of leveling up so i went to spvp to try to run something similar to what i was running in gw1. No block skills, 1 rupt+push back rupt, no burning or poison on bows (who came with this idea i don’t know lolz), can’t spam cripple like you could in gw1 and most importantly you have only ONE stun breaker hahaha. After some hours in spvp i find this is not just the worst class in gw2 (by a long shot) but the weakest ranger class in any rpg’s i’ve ever played, eveeeeeer. Complete garbage profession! From awesome to trash.

Is there a reason why every single elite in this game (all classes) takes five weeks to recharge? Its an elite, you’re supposed to us it more than three times per dungeon!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why did gw1 has tones of powerful elite spells that took >10-15sec to CD and in gw2 it seems like its 1000% longer? Im not asking for a spell such as time warp to be a 30sec recharge but i do want fast recharging elite skills that aren’t useless bs like melandru/grenth avatars and by fast recharging im talking about 25sec or under, not 100sec.
Because the only thing keeping you from spamming them are the large cooldowns. And several of these skills are pretty darn powerful, capable of flipping the tide of battle if you use them correctly. If they were spam-able, they’d be downright broken.
And you may notice that most of GW1’s major balance issues tended to revolve around spam-able elite skills. This is, strangely enough, not a mere coincidence.
I’d honestly rather have them rare and powerful, than to have them frequent and weak.
I’d be fine with shorter cooldowns. But spam-able? Hell no.
As i said, i don’t want powerful elites such as Time Warp to be spammable, BUT, have other less powerful (but not useless garbage) skills much more spammable than once per 180+sec.

Well i played gw1 pvp alone for over 5k hours and that was my fav class for pvp. You could play extremely offensive with a gw1 ranger or just annoy people with rupts 24/7 (sticking to them and follow where they’re going/rupt everything was priceless and never gets old). In gw2 a ranger is more comparable to garbage/over nerfed paragons than anything else. No matter what people say to defend gw2 rangers, gw1 rangers were 1000 times better in pve (spirit spam/spliter eoe) and infinitely better in pvp. As i see rangers now, they’re broken. Barrage and traps is THE ONLY thing gw2 rangers have.

Mesmer because with all the target loss skills they have and easy creation of illusions it messes up everyone in 1v1 and when they’re dead lot of them cry cuz you’re playing an easiest class in gw2.

They lied or its still glitched and they don’t feel to need to fix it. Vets do not drop more Rares/Exotics than normal mobs and champions don’t drop anything at all most of the times…

Since the game was released not a single patch was suitable for a mesmer in pve (excluding SS because that lasted what? 2 weeks and for shatter spam builds ONLY). Anet don’t give a kitten about how mesmers are in pve and that shows.

Never tried those raids but gw1 had over twice the amount of players for many dungeon so sup!? I want a 10 man dungeon and not in 2 years.

you have two choices. farm gem store (the pathetic choice) or nolife fotm for like a week if you want to make like 40g or something. Quest reward is a legendary joke so don’t expect money from that but you can always farm charged/onyx lodestones. I do farm them often but it IS brain dead because drop rate is LOL. NAnet don’t want us to have money so, yeaaa.

can we please have this stupid dungeon DR removed already? Been months and i don’t want to do my fav paths only once per 24h (no i’m not an AC/CoF spammer). For someone like myself who enjoys dungeons/challenging but rewarding stuff can i expect new fractals, new armors, weapons or even a new dungeon in the next update or do i have to wait March for that?

I would replace dredge with crystal enemies (like the shatterer and his trash mob). I want crystal enemies in a dungeon!!!! and dredge do suck and boring to kill.

They should NOT change shattered strength. Fix the 3→2 bug but don’t nerf the only thing a mesmer can do decently. If they decrease damage from shatters wtf am i supposed to run in pve? Phantasms builds suck cuz of garbage traits/bugged skills and lack of aoe. All we have is shatter. If you’re one of those useless mesmers spamming torch/scepter in pve telling yourself its good, okay, good for you lolz but i want to be useful to my team and able to kill something in pvp. If they nerf Shattered Strength to give something like 2 stacks per illusion then they better change those useless traits that gives you X thing per rupt and give us traits that will be good for phantasm builds and shatter ones.

just did a 3h of wvw (first time i play over 1h in wvw) and it was fun BUT had to turn everything to low to have playable fps, game looks so blurry and ugly… i shouldn’t be doing this kind of things with a 2500k/570. I mean BF3 with full destruction x100 better graphics and i always have 47+ fps and an average looking game like gw2 with dx9 runs at 17fps, no gg anet.
