Couple of things, firstly i hate the 2 sfr who destroyed me about 6 times at redwater on sfr today. Was trying to do some admin. Sadly u exposed my poor skills without my guild behind me.

Secondly kitten sfr you used the warrior banner about 30 times tonight so far to save garrison. Hope they remove that from the game and also sort out using the waypoint during sieges.

I am so excited that culling is gone. I dont understand why WvW players are not happy that culling is gone. That one line in the patch notes is bigger than all the PvE stuff for the last 3 months combined.

This people have forgotten how much of an issue culling was. WvW is like a whole new game now, you actually make decisions on what you can see. I love it.

There is a clear path of progression now, I expect leaderboards to be fun, I expect new maps, I hope for solutions to skill delay/lag. But the number one biggest issue for GW2 wvw has been fixed, would be nice if people could lower their expectations and be happy for a while.

You always get the people who are never happy. Skill lag is still definately an issue, but the end of culling has transformed the game for me tonight, it was brilliant and sometimes scary to see the enemy numbers. Absolutely loved it.

Only issue is that groups now seem to retreat more often @/

Awesome fights tonight, would like to thank Sfr in particular for 3/4 awesome fights, nice that you guys don’t run from the fight. Dedication of you guys keeping players up and late and then in mornings is kitten impressive.

It s not only about coverage you guys are all working kitten hard to be number one. Hopefully we can stay in t1 to keep fighting you all, but not sure how long we can hold on for.

After the sad loss of DSD from Deso, who have returned Baruch Bay (Good luck guys you were awesome for Deso and will be missed loads by the wvw community) we have openings for a prime time guild or two.

We also lack coverage during the day and at night so would welcome any guilds who wish to join the server and who can cover these time slots.

Must hand it to you guys, but it was 2/3 guilds fighting one guild. I still really enjoyed it especially the fight for arah’s. But as you know its hard to fight one guild, when you are being hit from another direction by another guild, then from another direction from yet another guild.

We don’t get the numbers we used to on weekends these days, so hoping the patch will solve this.

Anyway I’ll remember to highlight it on here whenever we wipe you guys, as that seems the thing to do (even if you neglect to mention the lil bit of help you got).

As a deso player i like Vizunah more than SFR because they dont whine on the forums. Before SFR joined tier 1 couple of weeks ago our t1 forums were free from trolls. Now all i see people mostly from SFR side calling out names and talking non sense.

Tbh I was just fighting viz last night, enjoying fights against WL and CDD when I came on, then when we were in bay defending those lovely wooden walls/doors, you guys decided to attack Briar. I don’t mind as its a 3 way after all.

But can you pls get it out of your heads thats its ok to attack us but not for us to return the favour? Also should we just let you guys split and roam attack the map? Nah ofcourse not.

In fact our scouts informed us WL were at south hills stopping reinforcements getting in, and the rest of Viz was on north west hills, so we decided to go pick a fight and defend your Hills (as I remembered viz taking our bay the night before), just so happenned that you guys decided to join in as did WL. Awesome 3 way fight it became.

Now we are a bit tired on Deso, having to take back t3 keeps in Prime time, not being able to updrade those same keeps and towers every day to something defendable. So yeh when I am commanding I am just looking for fun, and if that means annoying you guys I am sorry, we did the same against Viz last week on your border.

Sadly Tactics are out of the window for Deso, as they will make little to no difference so its all about finding enjoyment where we can.

Oh and yeh the lag is becoming unbearable, I have given up trying to use my heal skill in fights.

I understand Desolation’s position on neutrality and trying to prove themselves as nobody’s lapdog, but forum posts from IRON members mostly just prove the opposite. What you are doing now is not neutrality and pride, it is just spite for SFR for weird reasons :
1) SFR suggested ganking up on VS to take them out T1. What’s the problem? You refused, game moves on. Why are you so insulted about it and take it personally? If one of SFR commanders keeps insisting on it bash him don’t start spiting all over every SFR and calling them names and telling them “omg l2p”. That’s just low.
2) Bandwagon server – again, what is the problem? You were in the same position some time ago, you took advantage of it, your new guilds left, you rebuilt and moved on. Why the sudden hate on SFR? It’s not like SFR came from T8 suddenly. For the past 3-4 months it has been in T1-T2 and a force to be reckoned with, and it dropped to T2 out of it’s own decision nothing more. How about respecting that?

I think everybody recognizes Deso as a powerful server with skilled players and good guilds, there is no need for the tension. Some SFR forum posters are not that nice, but it’s usually isolated cases and rotten apples can be found on all servers.

Between SFR and VS there is another level of animosity and in my opinion both sides have contributed to this general tension with equal guilt. SFR calling names on VS and criticizing their tactics, VS calling SFR the worst server they ever fought and that it should never be put alongside Blacktide, Deso, FSP and other T1 contenders. It will probably never go away either and both servers hold equal blame.

There is just so much crap talked on these forums, including by me, that really 99% of it should be ignored. Insults get blown out of proportion etc etc.

There is no dislike or disrespect towards either Sfr or Viz especially from Iron. Ofcourse it may look like we have taken things seiously with our tactics at times but sometimes we feel the same way when looking at your tactics. But we have come to realise that we need to be having fun.

We realise we cannot compete with Sfr or Viz for coverage and numbers so we may as well just enjoy the fighting as much as possible and tbh the fighting in general has been great fun, thks to Wl and the majority of Sfr guilds. It is quite enjoyable not worrying so much about points and just doing erratic things.

I don’t particularly want to drop a tier as I love fighting Sfr (except when we get mowed down :p). But points are not everything atm. Our numbers on Deso seem to get smaller by the day, so here’s hoping the new patch refreshes things.

few minutes ago, one of our elem was on sunny hills door and when he activate one of his skill jumped through the door. that wasn’t on purpose and he stayed front of the inner door to be killed because we don’t want that our ennemy thinks that we use any kind of cheat. if someone saw him, it was only a bug. thank you for you understandement.

And yes IRON is an important part of Deso, but to say that IRON=Deso is a bit offensive to all the other guilds that do WvW here.

I would have to agree with Shifty on this one. No doubt we are a large guild. But by no means are we deso, there are many awesome guilds on this server, who have done as much if not more than iron in getting deso to where it is now.

Had alot of fun tonight, many great fights, so thks to sfr and viz for that, especially the 3 way fight in Deso garrison 2/3 hours ago, sfr did an amazing job contesting that circle for over 20 mins.

I actually feel it is unfair to say Sfr have no backbone and will drop if these guilds leave. Sfr has always had a strong community and they are unlikely to fall like Bt.

I always thought there was alot of mutual respect between Deso and Sfr.

But since these new guilds have joined you, suddenly there is arrogance, flaming and trolling non stop by not only the new guilds but also those that built that community in the first place.

Yes , you can speak for both of us , but focusing on VZ doesnt mean that we dont fight Deso ppl. We will fight them even they outnumber us 2 to 1(iron), because we are playing WvW for the hard fights and not only for the easy badges(also to have a nice badge-break ,none hurts). To be honest , we are looking for guilds like GH or Votf while we are raiding and we will engage into the battle no matter the numbers ,but as for sieging ,we mainly focus VZ and then Deso. We would love to have a nice 3 way war with an other server like Deso.

There is only one blob at the moment and that is the Sfr server as a whole. Bandwagon server with multiple guilds who have joined in the last 3 weeks. Amazing how loud and vocal you guys are about your amazing accomplishments. Btw Vcy if you are getting fed up with the queue’s we rarely have any on Deso…..

Umm comeon guys …. happens in GvG, you cannot control the spectators, I actually feel sorry for Vcy, as their victory has been marred by this. ALot of people playing do not even realise it is a GvG going on, thinking it is a normal fight they join in.

Best thing to do is to keep GvG a bit more quiet and stop spectators. We are sorting out our GvG team, still not sure when it will be ready but will happily fight you Vcy guys when it is.

Congrats to Sfr, great victory and it has been a long time since I have had this much fun in WvW. Looking forward to next week. So many guilds from Sfr have brought so many great fights this week, I would like to thank you all.

Have to agree with Snappless. For all the moaning about numbers, getting wiped, who has this or who has that, I have really enjoyed this week. There are some awesome guilds out there and the fights have been great whether we win or lose.

The sheer number and quality of these types of fights has been refreshing, so would like to thank all of the Sfr guilds for that. Lets hope both servers can stay in t1 so these fights may continue.

Haha I was actually trying to defend Viz against the Sfr bashing, saying you guys were determined and recently always come out to fight even if getting wiped because you are a group of small guilds and random players. Probably came out wrong.

GvG is totally different from open wvw and WL taught us a lesson that you cannot just turn up to it with an unorganised team and win (was only our second GvG). I said congrats to them at the time and appreciate the valuable lessons they taught us.

You have to remember we are trying to cover a whole border with no other large guilds on it. You guys had 3 major wvw guilds fighting us tonight, RG, ZD and OPT. We had the only commander on the map so I imagine some random friendlies do run with us, sorry if you thought that was abit unfair.

As for our numbers, for once there was a huge queue on deso , plenty were stuck in it etc etc etc. Do you guys complain when you outman FG, EXO, GOD or other deso guilds, nah ofcourse you don’t.

Anyway whatever makes you feel better.

As for GvG we are setting up a team atm so hopefully we will be doing more of these soon.

Are you kidding? This is just typical you are basically saying you prefer Pvd rather than having a proper fight. It’s laughable.

Every server has benefitted from Pvd, I am sure sfr did not have much opposition at night last week and we on deso have used it to our advantage in the past. But to prefer pvd than a server having an NA guild and therefore you having something to fight is really lame.

Viz should be wanting the other servers to get NA guilds so that you actaully have a challenge from 3 am to 12 the next day.

Had a fun evening, weird as alot less lag tonght than last night. Even though some of the three way fights were pretty kitten big.

Always fun fighting Osc, Opt, Rnv i love the cat and mouse we have before the big punch up, sadly only had a couple of skirmishes with Rg before I left wvw, heard u got us back inside Hills.

Got to say from a fighting point of view, its great being up against the Sfr guilds again and I have really missed it. Plus the newer guilds in opt, rnv, sin and rg always bring a challenge which lets face it is what wvw is all about.

Find myself just looking for fights these days when commanding. Anyway thanks for the good fights guys.

Desolation needs to go to T2 until some things get sorted. Mainly the cooperation of certain guilds.

I don’t see how going to tier 2 will help anything? I would prefer to stay in tier 1 to firstly keep competitve and to have challenging fights.

If things are tough we need to learn to improve as a server, but also as individual guilds.

Our comunication between guilds is non existent, doubt this would improve in t2 as it is less competitive and theerefore not so important.

Plus how are we going to stop all the guilds that want to come to SFR from coming? We knew about RG and siN coming but not the other 4/5 that came. Before these guilds came SFR was doing just fine, we were in T1 for along time without these guilds and only one night crew guild. These guilds have bolstered our force for sure but dont think we rely on them and that they are the reason we are second.

And the last time we faced Deso without PRX you had KAZ, whats your point? That you night capped us along with VS?

None one can do anything about guilds transfering etc.

We could go round in circles about guilds joining/leaving. I was just making a simple point that it is not reasonable to call us weak, simply as we have not enjoyed the big influx of new guilds u guys have.

I am confused by the tactics of Sfr. You guys could win this week, Deso will be 3rd no matter what. But on the deso border, whenever we attack hills when it is in Viz control, you cause us to pull off as you attack garrison or woodhaven.

Now I understand that you just want to attack and get more points, but there seems a real lack of planning. Your first priority on any border should be to minimise Viz’s income and then to increase yours as much as possible.

You took t3 garrison last night, which was a very well planned and executed maneuver. But in the scheme of things all you did was hold garrison for a short period before viz took it. So you weakened Deso, therefore helping Vizunah get more points.

I don’t mind as I love learning and fighting, but if you guys want to win this match up against Viz’s coverage, you really need to start thinking about your tactics, which to be honest seem a bit mindless at times.

Plus I promise you there will be payback for that take of Garrison.

Nice fights today on Desolation, we damaged the garrison of deso with our zerg and a little group with 6 golems and 3 mesmer sneaked through the water gate. Everything worked very well. Many thanks to the guys of Option, BG, ZDs and LC, it was a fantastic evening. see u guys and have fun

Typical Viz bashing. Lets look at it.

Viz are the best at time coverage, they are the best at defence(sometimes helped by fov), they are brilliantly organised, they have good numbers at all times, they have some great small guilds that are constantly sniping dolly’’s, quagans and camps. They have a few very good larger guilds like WL and Mos and others.

Yeh they are maybe not the best at open field battles at all times, But overall they are the best server as they regularly win tier one.

I don’t agree with all their tactics for obvious reasons. But the whole server cannot be blamed for these.

Hopefully deso will be able to recruit and compete with Viz’s coverage one day, then it will be interesting to see how we fair.

As for Sf, alot of top guilds, another super server built on the core that was Sfr. Both servers are stronger than Deso atm, especially numbers wise, we still rarely have queue’s. Anyway hopefully we can concentrate on the fighting rather than the forum bashing this week.

Alot of enjoyable fights on Deso border this afternoon, enjoyed the cat and mouse with ZD’s when I came on to command. Some good fights there with you guys as always.

I appreciate it slows down the momentum for zergs and makes it far more improtant to upgrade and defend supply camp.

On your home border, it makes life even tougher than it was when trying to defend/ attack against 2 servers at once. I feel home borders are going to become the last place anyone wants to be.

I agree being able to solo a supply camp is just daft.

Ok so he’s not completely invincible, but close to it. There’s a lot of different views on this change within my guild.

Just like to get others opinions on this.

It’s interesting and very postive to outnumbered groups, servers as 1 or 2 people could in fact put a real dent in the ability for large groups to attack quickly and to upgrade quickly.

I have 2 issues, firstly the buff lasts too long, I think 3 minutes would be more appropriate and secondly the fact that just 1 or 2 people can take a camp and have such a massive impact.

Looking for people’s views, not trolling, not the usual bashing of other posters views, just plain old opinions and why.
