There’s no in game benefit, as in no reward in game. Now if someone gets pleasure out of ruining say 50 or 60 peoples fun without gaining so much as an achievement point for it, I wouldn’t personally want a person like that in the community. And I’m pretty sure most other people wouldn’t either.

For the record, I was in no way condoning this behaviour and I myself don’t find it funny, jut saying some people are jaguars like that and you should not be surprised.

I ran Arah earlier with a pug formed on gw2lfg, and one mesmer had never ran Arah before. What this player did was watch the path we were running done on YouTube, so he or she had some idea of what to expect. If you do that and let people know you’ve done your homework, they’ll be more inclined to work with you.

It’s a good way to gain confidence and for the morale of the party to go up

This idea makes me miss one of my old games where half the races couldn’t see in the dark and at night you NEEDED a light source. Eventually they dumbed it down and phased that kind of stuff out of the game so happy to see that kind of stuff return.

I would like some side-by-side comparison of a full set of x armor and the mix-match version. Some of these while looking awesome, look like they are part of a set anyway(maybe you’re that good at matching).

Many people really are just that good at coming up with real nice combinations of armor. Many times the armors look “better” in the mixed appearance a player posts than they do with the individual armor sets they came from.

Sites like Argos-Soft already have images of the full armor sets and most posters here are kind enough to follow the encouraged and appreciated behavior of including the names of the sets that the pieces are a part of.

If posters were to include images of the full sets for each individual item used in the mixed images then they could be unnecessarily including 6 or more additional images, one for each piece of armor used in the mixed appearance, that can already be found on armor sites like the one I mentioned.

If you see an appearance you really like, but the poster did not include the names of the sets the armors came from, quoting their post and asking what the names of the armors are is usually quickly followed by that poster (or someone else) responding with the names of the armors used. We’re a really friendly and helpful community.

When I was on in the AM, I was literally the only person I kittening saw.

Every patch/update/anything since last year has exponentially kittened my performance. But regardless of overflow/pop DryTop is dry barebacking.

I’m running now at best performance option and I still can’t even kittening move. If aspect were a joke, this is the punchline. I have to spend 2 min just to walk into a crystal proper to get it!

Before anyone asks, my specs are well above min req.

You are complaining about optional content in a game that is all optional content and “play how you want”

This is literally a non-issue because you can just ask for a mesmer port. You don’t even have to know a mesmer. I bet if you asked map chat you’d find someone to do it for you.

Complaining about not being able to do one small portion of the game is completely silly when you can flat-out bypass it.

It’s like if I were to complain that since I’m bad at maths, they should remove the TP because I can’t play the TP to get money.

Don’t take this as a knock against your physical limitations, it’s not meant as one, but I’m just trying to point out that there is already an in-game way to bypass this instead of demanding that anet tailor make its experience around you specifically

The easiest and best solution though that should work for everybody is to just not add the jumping puzzle to the main content or story. Have it like every other map where you have to venture off to a remote area to partake in the jumping puzzle. Nobody should be against something like this; if anything, they’d have reason to make the JP ridiculously harder than this one currently is.

This way, nobody should feel restricted in partaking in the actual story. If someone complains they don’t like questing/fighting in an MMO and would rather jump around like Super Mario as part of the main story line, then an MMO is not for them. Jumping puzzles were fine as they were, optional content away from the main story line void of map completion. Yes I am aware this new map isn’t needed for map completion, but apparently if you wan’t to progress the story it’s needed.

Oh.. I can’t actually make this jump because I have to stand on the invisible extension of a rock edge… How far can I stand on thin air before I fall? Maybe not even a tall human/sylvari. Cause you’ll need to make 100% blind jumps due to the camera going behind rocks.

Jumping puzzles may have been an interesting concept, but their implementation is absolutely horrible.

I think it should be said that I don’t think any of the new content is bad, it’s just, we didn’t get a new zone(ie map), we got a giant interactive JP. We didn’t get new gear items, we got skins.

I think the new content is fantastic. I’m sorry you can’t play, but I’m having a fantastic time. There are plenty of unique events and such in the new content and the story which require little to no jumping skill.

The Zepherites were known for the sun dash, assisted leap, lighting jump in the cliffs. Did you really expect all their aspects to not be included in their destruction of their ships? After the crash all the aspects were thrown all over the map, so it makes sense they are there.

GW2 did a great job of making a unique zone and incorporating those aspects into it.

I expected them to die.

Also I think it’s pretty stupid you assume I, a)don’t enjoy jumping puzzles, and b) can’t play the content.

At worst I’m unwilling to play the content, especially when all I’m getting out of the monotonous mediocre tedium is garbage. Aside food recipes, not a single S2 item drop or GS item I would even touch so far.

Because getting weapons/armor with gold is a bad thing? Go play any content you want, anything you will make gold, exchange for gems and get the weapon/armor you want. No longer do you need to fight that fish 200 times with the hope of it dropping Super Fin of death. Now just fight anything collect gold, buy Super Fin of death.

You must’ve liked the Auction House in Diablo 3. Buying stuff just isn’t as fun as actually finding it. Sure you can kill that fish 200 times or even more, but when you finally see that Super Fin of Death drop, man…is it a glorious day! It feels so good. As it does with Diablo 3. Actually getting an awesome legendary drop feels SO much more rewarding than hopping into the AH and buying it.

I played WoW killing a boss in one of the raid dungeons probably a good 100 times trying to get a shield that looked like a wall with spikes. It was going to rock on my dwarf warrior, it dropped one night and went to the paladin. I proceeded to quit for a while.

That just makes you a quitter. Yes, it sucks seeing the drop you want going to someone else, but I always was happy for people in my pugs when they get sweet sweet loot and I never got anything good the entire time I played Guildwars1&2.

Nat, Infantry, and Arch play games for great fun, and (I totally assume) a fulfilling and satisfying experience.

All you other guys are just sitting down at your PC’s and going to work.

Get off your moral trip and humor me for one minute; You go to AC with a party of human characters, all direct descendants of people from Pre-Searing, meet with your ancestral King and say “Hey Lord Adelbern, we are here to bring back Ascalon, and destroy the Charr, what do you need done?!”

From there all you have to do is unify and rally Ebonhawke, which would be EASY since at least half the population are Seperatists!! The ghosts of Ascalon, which at the very least almost number 2/3rds of the Charr. Krytan Ex-Pats under your own leadership(Because Logan is a weak piece of kitten who kittens to that slag Jennah and doesn’t think for himself or the people who bore him). Then you have all the Champions of Old Ascalon! Oh the glory!

All you people talking about ghosts aren’t listening; If ASCALONIANS made amends with Adelbern, who clearly is able to have a conversation, the ghosts would not be a problem.

Do I have to spell it out? No Charr, no Krytans, no anything not from Ascalon! I believe the spirits will rest, or at the very least be amicable if Ascalon is under Ascalonian control.

Because funfact; Krytans are the enemy! I think if humans reclaimed Ascalon, the ghost problem would be gone. Adelbern’s ghost CLEARLY has communication skills for a phantasm, and the only reason you fight him in AC is because you are with a scumbag Charr, and a drunkard Norn.

Reassert Human Dominance, and Adelbern will tell the ghosts to lay down arms. Ghosts are just mad because Charr are kittening everywhere!

Also stop talking, because if we’re having a serious discussion here, Jennah nor any Krytan has any kittening business in Ascalon, so if an army were to be raised, it should be by the Player Character, and other dominant descendants of Ascalons. Thackarey counts.

Yesterday I’ve done all the bosses from 15:00 until Karka queen and 1 Exotic and 5-6 yellows…Really?I was so close to delete Gw2 by anger…but there’s nothing better outside right now…I hope they not put hopes in that to keep the game alive…110% magic find and Banners at nearly every drop.

I did all bosses one day, got ZERO exotics and two rares(not counting bonus chests)
But then I dumped all those greens and blues into forge to upgrade.

Walked away with 2 exotics.

That’s not even counting the exotics I get from forging rares from bonus chests.

I made a post recently about how I only ever got 1 exotic in my 2 years of playing… After I wrote that, they started popping up kittening everywhere. Mainly from forge.

But as I figure, forge gambling is just as reliable as drop farming.

TLDR: all bosses no exo, took green to forge, walked away with 2 exotics.

A GW2 example would be things like the ‘deposit all collectables’ button or waypoints. They game wouldn’t be unplayable without them but they make playing a lot more enjoyable by removing some common inconveniences.

I’ve been kittening and moaning about townclothes since my first post, so I put in a refund ticket for stuff I bought in gemstore, and it was taken care of under a day. Even though I never spent a penny of real money on the gems they made me feel like a valued customer. I got like 6 emails telling me about what they were doing to work on it.

And they even let me keep my tonics!
