The macro nonsense with instruments is so annoying. The people who took the time to create that macro are very skilled. However, being able to use them in game is not skillful. People like me who had played since the original bell came out find it very cheap. We learned songs and actually play them while others press one key and play an impossible song. I know this is has been posted before but really….this should have never been brought into effect.

Macro Instruments? like there are macros that make decent sounds from the instruments?

Lol….oh noes…UI bugs and random voices; dude try playing a game where if you die you lose all your items and cause ofa bug you lose all these items and the devs refuse to rollback/refund, those are bad bugs, your complaints are, well sad, plus most of the bugs are already fixed, not like they are here to stay.

FP is mostly just screenshotting, and helping in tight spots. Personally, I don’t want weapons blocking the view.

Much like the shake effect has a lil box, this too will have a lil box, please read my suggestion or the tl dr at least before posting.

Just a suggestion…
But if you have a very dark character, maybe taking pictures in an equally dark environment is not the best idea if you’re trying to show other people your armor setup?
Just saying….

Nope. FPV was created just to enjoy the scenery without any UI distraction, or characters.

Uh huh, why add the shake effect then, why make it so we see those blurs? remove those blurs, they take away from the “scenery”.

Because they didn’t add the effects. All they did was move the camera in some and make it so you don’t see your own character model, presumably including the weapons. I imagine it would be considerably harder to figure out how to make it show the weapons but not anything else.

Why not keep everything else? that would be a step up from skyrim where its just a pair of floating arms.

It’s hard to say.

I’m enjoying first person immensely, but due to the 360 nature of this game, I find zooming out for serious fights necessary. It’s not a bad thing, because you realize your character still has really cool animations.

One time it bugged out while I was chopping a tree and my axe showed. It looked really neat. Though other times my own skill effects almost gave me a headache.

I think we have to take first person for what it is. Just (finally) a way for us to see the world from up close and also take nice scenic screenshots. While simple combat is surprisingly viable at that zoom level, combat is the one part of the game truly optimized for third person.

Basically what I’m saying is, I think the devs intended for us to see the world up close, but not fight up close. Now we CAN fight up close, but if the weapons are rendered, they may obstruct the view too much unless new animations were added for first person. That would be a lot of work to support a cool-but-unadvisable combat perspective.

I’m not saying 1st person should have its own animations, keep the weapons and animations where they are, but make it so they are there instead of going completely invisible. And so what if the weapons are big, that’s really immerse, be in the footsteps of your character, reason why i am suggesting this is the slight hope that this makes it through since the camera still says “BETA”

Much like the shake effect can be disabled the weapons can be disabled should they go with this.

I mean it should not be something hard to do since you basically put the camera in the character’s eyes, why remove the weapons and what not if anything can make some nice screenies while fighting monsters in that point of view.

Is it possible to also see our weapons while in 1st person? no i am not saying skyrim levels of 1st person, that is just a pair of floating arms, I’m saying as we say swing our greatsword we see that swing, i mean currently while in first person we can see the..don’t know what its called…slash direction effect thing(refer to the picture see that little blur), but not the weapon itself. Or as we fire our bows, you do not see the bow or the arrow, but you do see the arrow effect thingy, why not just make it so we can see them?

tl dr: Make a option so our character model does not go invisible during 1st person view.

Yeah i see that the Balthazar set that’s coming out might be a outfit too…i would buy it if it was a heavy armor skin, but if its a outfit…so i will not…shame really. They can make money if they wrap up a entire set of skin set instead of a entire outfit.

What i am trying to say is players like to customize their characters..outfits restrict that…release skins please. don’t care if the skins are in one set 800 gems..just make it skins so we can customize with different pieces too..i mean i bought the primeval and only use head skin.

The main issue with it really is that you still wouldn’t be able to dye the eye masks. If you’re fine with that, I guess it would be possible.

Thing is they are already releasing different colored masks, which makes the concept of recoloring with dyes impossible, otherwise there would only be one mask up.

So, guys, just as I suggested: some combinations are so out of hand because of clipping, and some are perfectly fine (something to do with the face itself+some sort of helm). They could create a table stating “this eye” combines with “this helm, this blindfold, this wreath”, etc. Or “this monstruous thing” combines only with “this little detail in the eye”, or “this item” combines with nothing, because it hides all the face.

It certainly is not easy, I must admit, and would take heavy effort to implement, but it may bring some extra profit in the long run.

Does not matter what the suggestion is..a few of us just wana wear the glowing eye masks with our helmets too..

It’s not quite that simple, because of the particle effects.

I encountered a bug a year ago when I tried to transmute my subterfuge hood to my rascal mask, they somehow ended up combining (one clipped onto another) for a few minutes and then reverting to the subterfuge hood skin right after. Looked great, I thought it was some easter egg but when it reverted I knew it was a bug. Such a shame.

Point is, it’s not that difficult to implement.

It will also make them a good amount of money, i have a few guildies and friends who think on the same thought as me.

You sure? well they could remove the particle effects and just make em glowy red, i mean the only thing preventing me from buying them is the fact you cannot wear a helmet too; surprised this idea has not come up.

Is it possible for Anet to make these not skins but things you can buy to change your eyes like that and wear a helmet at the same time? if it was possible id gladly buy a makeover kit and one of those masks to change my eyes. I think its possible..i mean you have released eye colors before at one point…if memory serves.

And if the particle effects are a big issue with the helmets then remove em, i just wish my eyes to glow red. its a really great item…but would look better with helmets..

This is my first time playing a mmorpg…and was not aware of the “standard” meaning of “unique”…and those two rings are quite different, one is defense and other is offense; being a pure offense, defense is the last thing i want on my items. So here i was overjoyed to finally get my second Red Ring of Death. To my surprise it did not let me equip my second one; i laughed and tried again thinking i misclicked or something, but turns out to be true, you cannot wear two of the same type. I was quite upset because i gave no in game warning or anything. Now my question is why? why is this a thing? you can wear two orca rings of the same type and two pearl rings of the same type but why can’t we equip two of the same rings from fotm? because i wasted my relics cause of this. Refund my relics or add a in game warning to warn future people or something..

And if there is a warning i do not wana see “well if you go to the website and read on paragraph six, sentence 5 it states it there..” no that’s just stupid who goes into a website to read the rules of a dungeon on what you can and cannot do, thought its just common sense that two of the same type should be equip-able.

To the mods, it said “other content here” so this counts as other content.

Alright i have a few suggestions that can maybe make this game a lil better to some people.

1. Helmets for charr and asura. Majority of them are just weird, where do the charr’s massive horns go? They file them off or something. Asura ears do they fold those big flabs up to wear the helmet?

2. Replay Storyline quests. Some of those quests were amazing and to replay them would be amazinger, I do not care about if there will be no reward for do over, i just wish to replay some of those epic battles. And to some of those will say “start new character and do the quest again” that sounds kinda silly no?

Hope this makes it to anet.
