Well, think about it this way. Prices are going on up on materials so if I sell stuff I can make more money. This gives me more money to spend on things that people make or want to sell. I am also more likely to try to get materials to sell to others.

No matter what happens, it is better to put the gold in the hands of the players and not in the hands of companies that sell gold.

The problem you have here is that the items you are buyin also go up in prices so its a loose loose situation even if you get more money you are still loosing.

If i was a mob i would rather go camp a waypoint to be honest you never know when a tasty snack gonna appear.

No its not about the challenge i dont mind the challenge i just find it odd that a creature would go sit next to a ore node

No dont get me wrong Crysto im just wondering but i must also counter your argument if you consider lore then ore doesnt have a animal and monster atrraction property either.

Why oh why do companies always feel the need to put mobs next to ore nodes ? It just seems silly to me. Its not like a champion karka is going to use any ore hehe. If there is some reason why i would sure like to know.

I have to agree with Lookitsandrea on this even tho there are a ton of folks doing fractals on our server all other dungeons are being done on a regular basis. If i take AC for instance you can always find loads of people infront there ready to roll. And altho you get the ocasional lvl80 person just wanting lvl80s in their group there are more people that dont care about it. Ive even done fractals with lvl15 people in the groups and it went just as well as it would have with the lvl80 groups ive ran with.

wow that sucks really hope they add at least some more lower level quivers for us casual players to the game pulling arrows out of thin air seems stupid

Oki so ive seen they finally added a quiver back piece but its just accended version that i know of. Is there a normal exotic version out there ? As im dont care for accended stuff.

Hi folks so i have a couple of classes at lvl80 now and are planning on my next class to level and yes i like the whole questing to 80 experience. I was looking at the thief as my next one but have a question. Are they fun ? what sort of builds do you guys run and how do they perform in dungeons

I have to disagree completely except maby when it come to fractals past lvl10. I have seen first hand how low level players finish dungeons much faster than some of those level80 groups that whipe constantly with their exotics. I do see how exotic gear might help but skill still play the major role.

It seems you got the server with the rude people on. On our server “ring of fire” eu there are tons and tons of groups running fractals from lvl1 right up to lvl9 i think is the highest i saw. And actually there are people that dont really care bout the accended gear which have no problem jumping into a lvl1 run just because its fun

Being a ranger in a populare bot spot, going afk so he stand still probably just auto attacks and not replaying to chat. all just increases his chances of being reported as a bot.

Kind like some one talking on a cell phone while driving, They should be focused on driving. But then when you add that they are also trying to apply makeup, drinking coffee and maybe even texting. They are just asking to crash.

Reporting doesn’t directly get someone banned. It only gets ANET to take a close look, then they decide if a ban is required.

Chances are he was so botlike that he triggered the automatic bot detection code. False positives are always going to be a problem.

I think you might be right he does follow his route every day. I have to say speaking to him last night he said he isnt angry at all and seen the bot problem first hand so he can understand where anet is comming from. Anyway he opened a ticked and got a reply that they are looking into it so hopefully he wont miss to much of the event. Im sure the bot code anet is using will be more optimised as time goes by that this sort of thing dont happen again.

No you misunderstood he wasnt fighting while going afk. I just mentioned that if someone talked to him while he was in the area and he went afk that he might be seen as a botter

Ok so my poor friend got banned for botting. The thing is he plays at work so he goes afk alot as one might expect as his boss walks in now and then. During that time at work he likes to farm materials with his ranger and i think this is where the ban happened. Someone probably seen a ranger farming the minataurs in frostgorge sound a popular botting spot i might add and reported him. The thing is he worked out a farming route for himself and follow that route each day.

So here is my plea to players : Please folks make 100% sure that its a bot before just reporting every ranger you see farming mobs.

Yar i found this aswell but i have to say one thing ive been in groups where these so called lvl80 guys were dying much more than certain low level groups which just destroy everything. Ive got multiple lvl80 caracters and always welcome lower level people in it. In the end of the day these idiots sometimes cant understand why other parties fill up nicely and they stand there unable to find people to join em. So just hang in there. There are lvl80 folks out there that actually cant stand these elitist idiots either.

Oki so i had a build where my illusions and clones would explode on shatter and silly me went and fiddled around with a working thing now for the life of me i cant find that trait again. can someone tell me what it was called ?

Oki so i just hit 80 got the mad memories backpack. What the heck can i upgrade it with using low level gems just seems silly also there seem to be a way to transmute it using the guild backpack but spending 5g seems wrong. Is there anything i can do ? Any help would be appreciated

I do feel for the OP seems your on a server with really unfriendly people. I was able to complete book2 on my lvl17 necro and i was ressed countless times by people and helped through the high level zones. Unfortunitly another ugly thing have reared its head with the MK dungeon event even tho the req is just lvl2 lvl80s just want lvl80s to group with em making exscuses like damage is not the same or loot is somehow affected. This is the kind of elitist behaviour that i can’t stand.

The vision of the ele i had was the ability to choose the element you want to use and be able to stick to it if you so desired.

The versitility aspect as i see it should have been the choice to choose. As many people have mentioned no other proffesion have to switch around the whole time, why should we.
I personally prefer fire spec with the staff and usually stick to it. Even tried the melee builds but for me a caster should not be melee i just dont see how it fits.

Ive got full exotic crafted gear and exotic staff and i find the cursed shore hell. Im sorry but he person who said you can take 5 mobs there as a staff ele and wack them down quicker than any other class talks total bollocks in my oppinion (until proven otherwise).

I struggle to barely stay alive with one mob. unless you guessed it the mob happens to be a rissen wizard which uses the same skills as a ele. You can basically just stand there and knock em down

Try D/D, building 30 points into water and at least 10 into earth and at least 10 into arcane. I can tank for a very very long time and the damage isn’t that much lower than a power/precision build. I was in Orr at the melandru avatar and I had to have at least 6 guys including 2 veterans on me and I came out on top. Using the elite elemental in water attunement virtually makes you invincible and he doesn’t die very fast either with the dagger water skills.

Personally i couldnt care less about the pvp aspect. As for pve i can deffinitly see the difference between my ele and my ranger for instance. For me its not a question of dps i think the damage is fine but the cooldowns and the summoned familiar time could be looked at

You can add “eruption” earth staff skill to the list when i cast it and dodge over it towards a enemy putting it behind me it doesnt explode just dissapears

ye there is some hom pieces there but not all of em the shoulders looks different

The elementalist skill Eruption sometimes fails to explode. It will just dissapear and nothing happens

But at the stupid prices people are selling logs I for one will not buy a single log from there so its a loose loose situation for everyone
