This is how i see it altho the recipy was wrong making 500 ectos sure as hell is exploiting and you deserve nothing less than to get banned for it.

As stated in the agreement you accept when buying the game it clearly states that using 3rd party programs to get an advantage in the game is subject to banning. Its just like a normal contract you would sign so if you are in breach of contract anet have the legal right to terminate your account.
A caster using daggers seems wrong to me for some reason. So ill stick to my staff and still have that challenge.

They use the same model one is just a bit smaller so i would assume the problem will still be there
People will always moan about something. This is how i see the whole thing when wow started out there were just as many complaints etc now a couple of years down the line with all the patches fixes expansions etc no one can find any fault with it.
In comes GW2 a couple months into its lifetime and what do you know people moaning bout everything that is wrong with it. Now wait another 7 or so years when everything is fixed and its just perfect then comes the next mmo and i can bet the new mmo gonna have the same issue of people moaning how crap it is in comparison with gw2.
This type of thing have been going on for years and will for years to come. Sure gw2 have problems now but im one of those people thinking long term in the end those problems will have been resolved and it will be great. People are just so impatient these days/.

1st you have healers and tanks thinking they are more important than everyone else in a group which in turns breeds a horrible community.
2nd There is no way in wow that a dps player get a quick group you always wait much longer than a tank or healer.
Also whats the point of standing still in a fight thats the most boring thing in other mmos for me doesnt matter what you do you always gets hit that is just not realistic its like standing still in front of a person with a gun and just wait for him to shoot you and hoping for the best.
It is not as if you didnt know that there is not gonna be a trinity either if that was your thing why switch to another mmo. If the wow type machanics is your thing then play wow that is the exact same reason i moved to guildwars the trinity is not my thing so i left wow and im happy.
Speaking about the realism… how realistic downstate is? You lay down and raise your hand so you can magically get back to fight endless times?
I won’t comment on finding party because I haven’t tried much yet. Looking at other posts tho it seems that finding one is easier with certain classes/specs. For me it doesn’t matter if I have to look longer because bleeds dont stack past 25 or because they already have 3 dpsers.
Looking at your post you are another one that thinks trinitiy=wow and thats the game on wnich you are basing your opinion. Well than I did every raid and dungeon in that crappy game and I hardly ever stood still during encounter, and I only stood still because I couldnt cast while moving and every second of not casting counts as dps loss.
On a side, in WoW after every encounter I knew I could have played better. I messed spell priority a bit, or I popped my cds a while too fast. I don’t have that feeling in gw2 there is no self improvement.
I think you misunderstood what i said even if you move around you still get hit in wow for example a mage throw a fireball at you no matter how much you move around that said fireball always hits where in gw2 you at least have a chance to dodge that fireball

Your first point on leveling is somewhat random from my experience and depend purely on luck queensdale just happens to be my fav starting zone and from what ive seen over leveling my 5 lvl80s it all depends on how many DE’s you run into. On my ele for instance ive finished the zone at lvl18 while on my guardian it was 13 or so if i remember correctly.
On the ranger pet issue there is a button to disable them but i do agree i dont want him to pop out automatically when something starts attacking. Im sure this can easily be tweaked tho to prevent this from happening.
As for PVP i can’t comment as pvp is not my thing.
Yep i never use mf and constanly pick up stuff while my friend constanly complains that he doesnt get any decent loot with his mf gear. There deffinitly is something not right with mf at the moment.

I was lucky enough to pick up 2 abyss and one black dye so far used one of the abyss dyes and sold the others. And i have to agree some other combos look better on most armor types
I must be pretty lucky just when i think i wont get my tonic it drops on my last attempts this happend 2 times already so far i got 4 of em doll. golem, griphon and the verani 2 of em i got in just 2 tries the others was about 9 or so on the one and about 5 on the other if i remember correctly
Ye we can easily start a class action lawsuit here if this whole unsafe toy debacle isn’t enough now there is even evidence of some lab in Lions arch creating some illegal substance that turns its victims into these homocidal toy dolls. Its being said that zommos might be involved but so far i could not catch him in the act.

Maybe the Ele with Magic Find used it in place of a third stat toughness or vitality upgrade because they are better at mitigating their damage, managing their endurance and attunement dancing for defense. So they are still doing as much damage as the Ele without MF, they just didn’t upgrade wasted points in to a trait they didn’t need.
Just something that i like to mention here is say you do swap the 3rd stat say you sacrifice vitality for mf once again you made yourself weaker and easier to kill

How much of a damage drop or how much more damage do they take? I’m not refuting that there won’t be a change. I’m just suggesting that it won’t be a significant change to have an impact.

Don’t get me wrong tho im well aware of skill and yes ive seen counless lvl80 full exotic geared groups wipe in dungeons while lower level people do the same dungeon with no problems.

im talking purely stats on gear here all other variables are the same exact same build only difference gear and stats. lets narrow it down a bit say you strip a everything of em except you give the one power and the one magic find the power person obviously gonna do more damage

You say having MF is greedy and not cool, but I think trying to force players who want MF to do away with and play the game you want it is not cool and selfish.
But isnt this a bit like the pot calling the kettle black. Think about it you pop into a dungeon with your mf gear. First your performance hinders your team and you get rewarded more for it than your team. This seems more selfish to me to be honest
To all the people who struggle with this don’t give up it can take a while. For me my luck went up and down. Princess potion 7 tries, verani 2 tries, griphon 11 tries.
i believe the new mini gollem from the event also makes a terrible noise. i first noticed this noice today i never heard it before. im not 100% sure if it was that mini gollem tho.
They better not touch my my mini golem the sound he makes is the coolest part of the golem. Leave him alone i tell you he never hurt anyone.

Or since it is sort of a pirate town you might actually be able to find someone to silence him for you maby try that inocent looking char guy selling apples close to the bank there is something off about that guy.
that chick is one tough cookie ye was able do solo her on my necro but just because i had a ton of minions and fear. My guardian did it with another person but just barely.
My poor ranger got owned. It is a bit hard to solo deffinitly not one to take on alone.
Well personally im very happy with the fixes implemented. Don’t really have aproblem with loot either. I did however find something very weird about loot the last couple of weeks when i use my lvl80 guardian (no magic find gear) i get more drops from mobs blues and greens also get more yellows etc. And for some reason i get more karma and silver for events. Now if i use my other lvl80 caracters i rarely get anything once again no magic find gear

Oki I dont know if this is mentioned before but be carefull opening presents in dessa platau there is a lvl69 skrit popping out sometimes oneshotting everything.

Well im having fun in the dungeons and if they are so punishing then all the loads and loads of folks standing outside ac everyday getting ready to go in must be real suckers for punishment. Common now they are not that hard and its rewarding enough aswell. You can make quiet a bit of gold running dungeons.
No offense to the op but it seems to me like you used to play healers in other games. I personally love the system as it is because of a couple of reasons first. You don’t have people thinking they are more important than anyone else in a party and yes ive seen this loads of times during my wow days where a healer would rage quit because he wasnt the centre of attention. In gw2 if you cannot stay alive then its your own lack of skill.

Well the old saying comes to mind here : Rather have something and not need than not have something and do. In my oppinion there is a lot of little small issues gms could be very helpfull with. Also 3 day ticket turn around is not as fast as quickly chatting to a gm it might be solved in seconds.

I feel your pain had the same thing happen to me bought a staff then highlighted the scepter and clicked buy and it bought another staff only way to make sure is to double click the right item it will buy a previous item even if you highlight a new one.
Do you really care about a box think about it most people just install a game and the box go to a shelf just standing there. I don’t pull out the box from the shelf everyday just to look at it.
Dont know if this will help but ive got 4 level 80s fully geared in exotics including weapons. Ranger, elementalist, guardian and a necro. At times i find it hard to choose aswell but i seem to be putting more and more energy into my necro just love him

As for my build its mostly minions i do however use some spite etc im not too worried bout the minions dying as i want them to explode creating that poison cloud
The build is just for pve so im not taking it to serious its all about having fun for me. And the mad king runes is just a blast thanx for that tip.

What i like to kick off things by letting my golem charge in and walk all over the mobs which helps putting him in combat mode so to speak then hit the same target with my haunt skill that way even before the mobs can react i have time to do a well close by and hit em hard its a strategy that works well for me and might work for you aswell
Quick question : for my minion master necro should i use superior runes of undeath or superior runes of the necromancer ? Aslo is there a problem with runes atm i currently use 6 runes of the necromancer and it shows im using 12 where the other 6 are i dont know.
Also alot of backslot items are dropping in dungeons as of late. So if your set with your amor and need a back slot item just got the exotic ghost eater’s skin on my lvl60 necro last night from AC
For some reason i just can’t stand the sylvari and ive tried playing one of em but deleted it very quickly. they should be dumped with the rest of the cabage patch kids
Well you got a couple of options 1. crafting it yourself but with prices on mats going through the roof that option is not that great. 2. karma after each temple is cleared in ore a karma vendor appears which sell exotic armor at 42k a piece. 3. my fav choice and pretty easy as you can already start working on it at lvl35 and that is dungeons. You get 60tokens per path in a dungeon and that can be used for buying armor and weapons also you make a fair bit of cash and karma so its a win win situation.
Even tho im not one that really care about it either way i have to mention to the OP that it was indeed said that that there will be No gear progression way back so you cannot say they are wrong.
Keys are a problem yes where drops are concerned i had about 3 drop over all 8 my caracters 4 of which are lvl80 also have over 200 chests sitting in my bank. I remember a while back that 99% of the time you open a chest you would get a key for another i once got 18 keys in a row by opening chests but that have deffinitly been reduced as i rarely get one in a chest these days. As for stones i dont find those so hard you get them very often about 3-5 for clearing a zone minor stones for lower level zones and fine for higher. So for that reason i got about 70 minor and about 20 fine stone.
