Necro questions

Every condition goes up to 100% duration, except bleeding for necro which can go up to 133% (cause of lingering curse)

Strongest build is a relative term, condi build doesnt do that much dps has incredible aoe though, zerker-glass cannon build has little aoe does great single dmg , Minion master is extra fun (for me at least:P), healing build has epic support potential. For pve though zerker (30/x/x/x/30) or 30/30/x/x/x is recommended.

Subject A does 2 types of AoE attacks, one takes you down even with full ds (in ramp gear at least) and the other hits like 30% of your health, max(th dragon fiery tooth/icicle thingy). So keep your dodges for the bigger aoe and your endurance will be just enough for it, the other attack can be avoided by walking only. But yeah it requires focus :P

Nah thats a bad idea…1st scepter 3 gives lf. 2nd condimancers have nice survivability, both because of traits and rabid gear and 3rd, ds for condimancer isnt so important, life blast damage is low. The important ds skills for condimancers have a big cooldown (2,3,5)

Nope, piercing overall does way more (and even reliable) damage in pve than explosion damage (pbaoe on impact of projectile) based on mob movement and fight layouts, some of the best examples being objects that you can hit between 3 to 5 times with a piercing shot, but only once with something like a engie pistol auto attack.
Also if i may add, scaled bosses like abominations cannot be withing range of eachother to do splash on most such skills unless the mobs are manipulated into choke points and sometimes the mobs (oakhearts/icebrood equivalents being prime example) is plain too big with weird hitbox position to ever be able to splash, even if you bring it close to another mob.

What would be cool is if they merged Reapers Might into Unyielding/reverse.

Yeah, most of this is nonsense. Way more reliable ? splash isnt effective if mob is huge ?

Rampager vs Rabid gear

ive played with both armors, imo rabid gives so much extra toughness and you survive much easier than rampagers…though i wouldnt use rabid on hybrid build, it ruins the power based dmg…but a condimancer in full rabid has around 2.550 armor while hybrid in rampagers 2.150..(if i remember correctly). Also high toughness means more focus from bosses, although its easy to cope:P

Just finished p2, with my hybrid build (30/30/0/0/10) , extremely squishy. Survived last alpha fight while engi and mesm died…we actually have enough endurance for that, but we have to be extremely careful (tip: when down rally on adds;) )

He does 2 types of aoe. The small one you can either survive or walk out of, no dodge..for the big aoe count 1-2 and dodge…you usually have just enough endurance for 1 dodge. Also wurm helps aaalot.To survive big aoe you need 80% of ds, its ridiculous…if u lose focus and get downed, you’re toast in 0.01s

Nah vamp abilities in 1v1 suck. Vamp is nice when you have many minions and all of them siphon health, or the best part for me is siphoning with wells against 3+ enemies, i think healing there can go up to 500 per sec..so in wvw for example place 2x wells in middle of zerg and enjoy

Seriously, guardian better dps ? and warriors arent that difficult to win…and for guardian you need to act fast and interrupt his major heal and burst him afterwards.

on topic : 1v1 melee, difficult…cause we lack cc while they dont, except for doom + immob if u have dagger…well of corruption/corrupt boon would be a problem for a guardian, and well of darkness can save you from some tough warrior hits..anyway imo it can be done ofc, u need to have right utility skills though.

You guys make Necromancer sound bad.

stun breakers or fear builds can kill perma stealth thieves, ok not easy on 1v1 but its the point of high the high burst class to be good in 1v1..wells and immob work good on them too:)

on topic: Dont hear the whiners, necro has very nice dps either zerk or condi or hybrid, has some very fun skills, nice aoe and can be extremely fun to play.
It;s kinda always this aura in class forums, people love talking how much anet sucks:))

Nerf hammer may be about the terror nerf, the ds nerf is to make gameplay more challenging, to make you stay on your toes in ds. We got life force gain buff in 3-4 skills, so we have learn to use em and refill ds faster

My way to counter stunlock wa’s (and burst thieves maybe)
i run a terror build in pvp…what helps with stuns imo are the traits reaper’s protection(fear when cc’d)//terror(extra dmg)//master of terror(50% fear duration).
didnt choose foot on the grave cause i like the extra crit chance:).
But thats simple, i also use well of power and well of darkness. First as a stun breaker, and well of darkness can save u from some annoying hits. And the wells are combined with Ritual of protection trait( 3s protection from wells) and the chilling darkness trait (apply 1s chill for every blind) works perfect with the well of darkness, since it slows down the hits and delay cooldowns.
Against 2 opponents necro cant stand the burst easily, but if he does he can counter nice. For example, Foot in the grave + one well (any well, personally prefer darkness + chill) , and then once u have like 6 condi on you (easy when 1v2) plague signet+epidemic. Only problem is, u have to get the timing with the stability from ds…or use plague signet+well of power+epidemic Then put all staff marks down, watch them run, switch to another weap and kill whoever seems weaker.

I don’t really have much insight in MM, but i have a quick suggestion…how bout we get a boost on something on minion death ?
example : Flesh Golem dies=>3stacks of might/or protection/or stability, Shadow Fiend dies=>swiftness. Or something cooler like Life Force Bar regen:P
and different cooldowns or armor or power in wvw pve/pvp would be fitting imho

There really is enough space for everything, u have to get very very far to get ’’You’re leaving the instance area’’ message. You can make a circle around your enemy, or even die, since u continue the quest almost where u left off…
and it warns you that you’re leaving the instance u dont get kicked right when the message appears

Btw im playing necro and your argument is invalid.
