Well anyways thanks for the tip oglaf now I can at least transmute other items in game
It still works, I’ve recently done it to transmute a Vigil armor piece (I picked the wrong faction).
It shouldn’t be a large waste of your time to just make a new character to test it out. It also doesn’t matter which race or class you do it with. The armor itself though does have to be class and race appropriate to be equipped (No cultural armor transmuting, e.g. Transmuting Norn armor to used on a Human).
Yeah I have tested it out. The thing is I can’t even take out the backpack out of storage with my main when I try. Or even to the transmutation window. Maybe it just works different for starter items than with faction armors
Edit: Oh and where exactly would you find a white backpack piece? I dont think ive ever seen one.
Yeah what pwncakes said might have worked in beta but not anymore. I have been trying to find a way to get that backpack too but seems like there is no other way to acquire it other than that was your choice in beginning.
On a side note I regret choosing the eye patch one since those are craftable but the other two aren’t. I would have rather taken those other silly goggles instead.
Im glad the precursors are getting cheaper, Im sure arenanet did this on purpose. They should be within peoples reach, not overpriced items.
And yes I have a precursor I don’t mind if others have it too.
“BY OGDEN’S HAMMER, WHAT SAVINGS!” I love hearing that line!
But the one that gets me annoyed in l.a all the time is a conversation one with two women talking about deals. And one just says: “you gotta know where to look…and how to ask” all conceited and so manipulative and..ughh!
Once you get used to it, a fractal map takes about 20 min to finish on the short ones, and at level 1 most are extremely easy. Now you dont have to complete all three and advance to next level to get credit. Even if you only did one map you get credit for it. And if level two happens to be too hard for you, just keep doing it at lvl1 for credit.
Edit: So for seven maps itll probably take you like 3-4 hours out of the whole month (as long as you dont run into the awful dredge one ughh)

man you are all so dumb xD you guys WANT to complain.
lol I know right, the article was vague but people are already trying to get mad over it. This thread made me smile
I got the bard. I basically posted it earlier but some slow moderator thought it was off topic T.T
I got the bard, worth 12g :/ wouldve loved the hunter since im an engie but its okay im grateful for it and the bag and ring
lol well this thread got a name change. At least I know they’ve looked at it and are still there.
On a related note though is it just me or did grenade range get longer?
on why kits are still statless?
It just feels like our engineer class just isn’t loved at all over there. I’m sure i’m speaking for many of us engineers when I ask how much longer do we have to wait to have stats and sigils added to kits, which is our highest priority to make our class effective since many of our builds rely heavily on it.
But considering there hasn’t been an official response in our forums since..forever…I somehow doubt we’ll hear something soon :/
(edited by Penguin.5197)
Its the only good thing out of the patch. At least it puts a smile to my face when I do it
So by my count 15 bullet points were buffs, 6 nerfs and 10 bug fixes/other. I guess it couldve been worse.
Magnet on tool kit buff is sweet, everything else is meh. I was hoping sigils and stats would finally be applied to kits in this patch :/
Attack power with exotic rifle: around 33000, with flamethrower: 27000.
I really have no purpose to use the flamethrower other than for speedy kits and because…flamethrowers are fun lol Just not strong.
Haha, I’m at work but I wish I’d been on when you guys ninja’d SMC. It would’ve been worth it just to hear the FA teamspeak chat when that single red dot appeared in the middle of all that green.
FA hasn’t got a lot to do right now, so I’m guessing the moment it was ninja’d every borderland had people port straight to EB.
When I heard about it, as a fortie I just laughed at it, found it pretty amusing
I believe the answers for which you seek can be found somewhere between Elixir R and your tool belt…
Yes we already know about that but the point of this thread is our downed skills aren’t too good.
6/10. I like wordplay, but lots of people have something like that :P.
My Charr is Dreadquake.
I like it, especially for a Charr warrior or Guardian. Something so big it makes the ground shake.
Defender of Ascalon. We owned that kitten first, not that lesser race.
6/10 Good name once you get it but could also be mistaken for a human title/name.
Mine is Charr Penguin.
I would say convertion rate has gone up mostly because of halloween. Once it dies back down prices should hopefully lower.
You gotta wait for the tower to fully rotate like once, then you see the window get blown up and break open. That’s when you jump in.
I am looking for more information on this too, its something I do not want to miss.
Beating the clock tower gave a sense of accomplishment that I hadn’t had in a while from this game so thanks! Sometime it gets a little stale if its not hard~
As a Charr I only have one thing to all you Asura who keep complaining to us:
Grow up.
:P
It already has four disclaimers, you people just don’t talk to the npcs in the clocktower waiting room,
I finished it!
On a side not everybody was complaining to me about my big charr blocking views, which I found slightly amusing how people were being so mean to my charr for just being there lol
I feel sorry for everyone who spend a big portion of their money and didn’t get any skins. I was able to detain myself from buying any keys until I heard more about the drop rates, but this sounds really bad.
I hope the game designers take a lot of the feedback here and work on it to improve to make these kinds of events better, cause seriously, buying keys for a small drop rate must suck.
Im a little annoyed that all these people who didnt get the game on release or were too lazy to level up are expecting to have all these items handed to them at level 1.
What is wrong with Anet rewarding high level players with content when they have worked hard and supported the game from the beginning.
Iv supported this game from the beginning, I bought the art of guild wars 2 book when it was released YEARS ago.
I prepurchased the game and have have 2 lvl 80 characters and a lvl 65.
I dont think its wrong for people like me to benifit from these events more than others because we have worked harder and prepared.
I dont think its wrong for me to want to be rewarded for my support and hard work over people who just bought the game a week ago and now want all this high end content for free.
I bought over 2000 gems for this event with gold that I earned through legitimate means. Let me benifit form that please.
Thats pretty selfish of you, and how the heck is this even “high end content”? There is nothing wrong with people who just bought the game being able to participate in events and buying gems should not entitle you to anything.
“Plus, at the moment there’s a stupid bug making stealth last longer (the game takes some time to load them again after they de-stealth), but I’m told that’s going to be fixed soon anyway. Without that it’s not so much of an issue, because they should break stealth the moment they attack and be unable to enter it again for a few seconds.”
Thanks everyone who gave their thoughts in this thread without being an kitten Even though thieves are the ones who stealth the most other professions also have stealth who it couldve worked on.
But like LameFox said, a bug is influencing stealth more than it should and that is most likely why it is a big issue into which I had put a lot of thought into about. I hope that bug gets fixed soon.
And disregard this thread now people lol
I have been in wvw a lot and I cannot say how many times i have fought a thief who stealths on me every few seconds and when they are low on health they just stealth again and escape, and there is nothing I can do about it. It has annoyed me pretty hard there is no good counter against stealth, so I propose a new skill should be added for the engineer class: Thermal goggles (gadget skill). With thermal vision, it would make sense to be able to spot invisible enemies and it seems like a natural skill for the engineer. The effect could be something along the line of “When activated you can see and target stealth enemies for seven seconds”
Any thoughts on this idea?
