Will usually get around 27-35 fps in a city. (Hoelbrak, Rata Sum, Black Citadel, Divinity’s Reach, The Grove) Any place that isn’t a city my fps varies depending on what’s going on. The most I have ever had was 55fps. It will also drop down into the low 40s during events and such with alot of people.

I hope they don’t add raids to the game. The lack of raids is one of the biggest hooks for me right now. If I wanted another run of the mill loot treadmill I’d play Rift or another one of the myriad of EQ clones in existence.

The Nvidia Rep also made mention of Skyrim and before I read any further, I knew what he was referring to. If anyone played Skyrim at release, you’ll remember how horrible the performance was. Come to find out it was a CPU hog, pretty much like what GW2 is right now. Eventually Bethesda released a patch that fixed the CPU code in the game and increased performance by a crap ton lol. It’s quite possible that ANet could do something similar.

With an high enough OC, having a crappy IPC wont matter much.

It’s a feedback form for their driver team. Any issues you guys are having, please fill it out in as much detail as possible. And lets try to be civil about it, I know there is some frustration, but they are working on it.

AMD has always had crappy IPC,. that is no secret. But it doesn’t mean they are bad CPU’s.

You could always create another character. You were given 5 characters slots with this game for a reason. Also, there is map exploration, helping other people, dungeon runs.

Weather reporting in good intentions or not, reporting multiple times is considered an abuse of the reporting system and is against the ToS. It could also lead to account suspension and/or account termination.

It’s normal for HDDs to loose their read/write speeds when they start filling up. And since you have like 64GB left, then it’s to be expected.

No. Having this game on an SSD will in no way shape or form improve yyour FPS. However, since this game streams everything from disk, having it on an ssd may improve loading times and texture streaming a little.

Suggestion:

Make Guild Founder have the ability to kick/demote other Guild Leaders.

I use SMAA Injector for Battlefield 3. Neither Punkbuster or EA have officially came out and said anything about it. On the other hand, they haven’t banned anyone for using it either. I would guess its one of those grey areas as far as ArenaNet is concerned. I look at it like this, If it works, it works. If it starts causing problems with your game, dont come on the forum complaining about it.

I get the WoW phishing emails sent to my main email account all the time. Funny thing is, I have never played that game and my Battle.net Account is under another email address. That’s because supersample renders the game at a higher resolution and downscales it to fit your monitor. With it enabled, the game looks amazing. But it’s a performamce killer though. There’s a reason why it says"high end video cards only" when you hover your mouse over the tab.

I’ve been using it since the 3 day headstart and if by some chance I get banned for using it, ill fight it. There is nothing in the ToS that forbids using such a tool like the SMAA injector. It only mentions that using third party programs to automate gameplay functions is not allowed. So until that day when something happens, I’ll continue to use it.

There is only so much ArenaNet can do without Nvidia having drivers that work properly with this game. I would say harass Nvidia about the horrible performance issues, but their forum is still down. None of their previous drivers have fixes for this game and this goes all the way back to the first BWE. Nvidia users are pretty much stuck with what we got until we get a driver that actually works.

UTC is the new GMT. I would suggest everyone start getting accustomed to this.

Influence and guild specific upgrades are for that particular server you are on. If you move to another server, none of it will carry over.

There is a report function. Click on the " ! " icon to the left of the reply tab.

There was a report function add to the mail system the other night. Just report as spam and block the sender. Also, the blocks are account wide. I know it may not be what your looking for, but it’s better than nothing.

It’s working as intended.

People I know IRL are the only ones I will ever sell to or buy stuff from using the mail system.

ANet can’t fix stupid and at times there are certain circumstances when some people need to be protected from themselves. With that being said, ANet shouldn’t be holding our hand while we are playing the game either. There is a Trading Post for a reason.

If you are doing it intentionally knowing the fact that you cant send items back, then you’re scamming. Plain and simple.
