This works due to high up time on protection and fury when using Aura’s!(linked to other skills) Due to the protection uptime it makes Signet of restoration, steal hp on crit food and sigil work. (take less damage but gaining same hp.)
Conditions are countered fully by the 3 water line traits..
Mobility comes from using aura’s (linked to other skills) and fire greatsword elite when you need to bail.
Damage comes from the high buff duration, stacking up long lasting might from Fire aura (linked to other skills) But it is still lackluster, Thats where the 70% crit damage comes in, it make you damage if you manage to stack might! which is done by long complex rotations (compared to other classes)
This build all nits together to make ele slightly work, I say slightly cos if you played GW2 at all. You will know everyone runs Perma hide mesmers, sins and KD warriors. It still requires a huge amount of skills to fight against this easy to play builds.
i tested this build in the mists, it does not work, all the components are not their. You don’t get all three runes for the buff dur and you cannot mix and match stats.

Im sorry but this patch is BS, Ele is once again taking two massive hits.
WE need the 2 piece set bonuses to be competitive, we need the Crit damage modifier to even do damage, stacking might alone is not enough, fights are already long and drawn out.

Skills like this would stop zerg stacking.
Not every thing should be balanced on zerg play. The skill is overpowered, just like perma hide builds are. You fight a necro, manage to get them down to the last 5% hp, fending off multiple full stacks of conditions ticking at a much higher rate dps than you can dish out due to the dire set. For them to just enter death shroud and be back at 100% hp.
Cos balance?. If you honestly think my suggestions are going to break your game, it pretty much proves that you rly on this skill! their for proving its op. -.-
+ my changes would give you more hp at the start of a fight, you just end up with less the lower your base hp has been damged at.

Well if anyone has ever roamed or played a necro, will know how unbalanced death shroud is. Here are a few fixes to take under consideration.
-1. Cap the death shroud health pool to be 110% of the the player current hp before he enters death shroud.
-2. OR, remove the players armor rating from death shroud.

1. wvwvw when the game frist launched, action all over the map, not just kitten y zergs
2. wvwvw before everyone started to play only mesmer and sin solo.
3. stone mist, the only fort whats big and you get to fight inside, kinda… everything els is a hut on a massive patch of land.

You got a major problem with these sins and mesmer builds, All i seem to run into solo is these. No one els seems to want to run solo any more, who would blame them i just alt f4’d out my game. No one likes chasing a sin or mesmer around for 10+ mins while they just perma hide or glichly teleport everywhere.
And don’t get me started on them warriors, soon as they see you they just run? why? and needless to say they get away every kitten time.
Wvw out of big stuiped kitten y groups is getting more and more less.

100 ish jaesea mega server running around when thier is only 5 of our lads online in wvw,… If one side had 5 people, dont let over side join more than 6-7…. -.- game is competly flawed and one sided due to night capping… Just have it kick everyone at 12… and keep the joining steady.

I used to play fresh air DD, Water 15/20 for condition removal and 10 points in arcana for buffs on swap, stacking mix of cele gear + %buff runes i had a really balanced build. Now i just run around stacking kitten regeneration on myself loseing all the moibity and damge fresh air gave me

well in compare that ranger sucks on ground this seems to be well balanced,
as another topic of ppl not being able to kill ranger in water
next time use interrupt/kill pet you cant overdps pet healing as there is no stomp in water,
same like you cant do it on ground but you still can finish ranger ..
and once again its perfectly balanced as you wasted all your effort on ranger instead of pet ..
I KILLLED HIS PET 3 times. WE downed the guy 2 times in the water. the pet spawns again and carrys on healing. in the end we both gave up and left him.
Well killing the pet probebly would have been a good idea…..

Solo ele, D/D S/D. Put some clips together before the big patch, will really miss ele i enjoy its set up atm. Same build used through out, just i linger in S/D long so i use more precision.

The change to arcana is lovely, and it’ll open up a lot of new possibilities, but I worry about some issues that might cripple those possibilities. Here’s a few comments:
3.1. Elementalists rely too much on Elemental Attunement or Renewing Stamina to survive. Although it might be worth trying the scepter’s higher endurance trait now that it is at adept, I think the earth traitline should have a… worthy substitute for elemental attunement’s protection. Maybe it could have a stun breaker trait? Rock Solid could get it, but I fear it could make it too strong. Maybe as a grandmaster trait, and moving Written in Stone down a tier.
The changes we’ve done to Ele are actually going to drastically increase the amount of build diversity. The arcane recharge change really does add the flow the Elementalist needed when not spending points in Arcane. This will now allow players to stray away from spending points in the Arcane line. Ele’s will now experience faster attunement swapping as well because they will be down to 1.5s globals when they have zero points spent in Arcane and 1.2s globals with 30 points.
This makes:
13 second recharge on 0 points Arcane
12 second recharge with 10 points Arcane
11 second recharge with 20 points Arcane
10 second recharge with 30 points ArcaneDagger ele’s will now have new specs through Tempest Defense, Elemental Shielding, and Shared Auras much more appealing, as well as being able to go up the Fire and Earth trees.
Scepter ele’s will be able to play some forms of condition builds, burst builds with more sustain, and even bunker builds.
Staff ele’s will now be able to get blasting staff from tier one and now be capable of going for a trait such as Diamond Skin, or even Fresh air or high up in the Fire line.
Here are some examples of specs I’ve been messing around with:

Why would Anyone want to go 0/20/0/20/30 for a S/D Burst build. Don’t just post things with out playing the class please. Your just pen pushing and have no idea how the changes will impact us for the bad. You don’t even go 30 fire at all.
i have lost all hope this time game, i just sat with my hand on my face. srrly i don’t think any testing is been done behind the seen its just RNG changes.
I gather that moving elemental attunement up one tier was kind of a necessity given how strong it was. But I still don’t get why they would move renewing stamina together, other than trying to force a choice between the two traits, which, given the lack of improvements elsewhere, is kick in the balls.
Overall the changes to arcana are meh, I expected them to go apekitten bananas and completely overhaul how attunement recharges work, parting with the gimmicky fresh air.

Ele changes are stuiped, You need to look at Weapon skills before anything.
Septor skill Flamestrike, dragons Tooth (This needs to be faster animation or make it follow the target.) Shatterstone,
Please look at ALL focus skills
Please look at Damage skills on staff – Lightning Surge, Ice Spike, Stoning, Eruption
You need to get the skills working frist! We cant damage with our skills like other classes can. We have too many cast into nothingness and miss skills or ones what take forever to channel and do minimal damage for it.
not to say our cd’s are stuiped.
After weapon skills are changed, Fix our cool downs on utilities.
Then and only then tweak trait lines.
Stay the … away from Arcane Power and Water Magic, it don’t need fixing. You fix damage skills, give us more defense/cleanse from utilities, people can look into other builds.
Ele should be teleporting around blowing stuff up. But infact we have one teleport.
Fire Magic – 15 points “sun spot” Why don’t you give this teleport to player and damge.
Earth Magic – 15 points "earthen blast " Why don;t you make this grant protection?
Ele’s issues are other classes are spawning 15 clones a second with perma hide on demand, while dishing out teleports while doing insane damge. While we are just sliding along the floor making pretty fire trails.
Just spent half a days wage, opened 25 chests. left with 6 scraps, cant even buy 1 weapon skin “SKIN” what does nothing, half a days wage, left with nothing. Games are ment to be fun, i thought i would support the game by adding alittle i got nothing in return. THANKS. Cant wait till new mmo comes out tbh.
