Trahearne voice works early on when he’s a scholar but his transition from a scholar to the Pact leader required a big transition. But no, he just stayed in his scholarly voice.
Yeah, I do voice acting and I was quite disappointed with the majority of the voice overs. The good ones I found were from charrs; however, a lot of the sylvari such as the mother tree or Trahearne really plain.
The character generation system needs these:
-Change how the nose angles from the tip
-Control over nose holes
-Cheek bone options
-Face shape options (such as oval-ish, rectangular-ish, etc…)
-We can change eye positions higher or lower
-Change mouth positions higher or lower
-Change face height to shorter or taller
-Control how deep the eyes are
-Have options for eyelids
-Options for detailing the ears
-Option to move chin up or down
And too much to list but this should be good enough for changing the gender of ones face from male→ female and vice versa or changing from asian→ caucasian, etc…
So I was just playing the US national anthem in the underwater music instrument, and wondered what if we can equip musical instruments rock out in cities like Lions Arch and rock it out with my guildmates..!
Just think of the possibilities…… Guild Musical Band Wars! And there can be tournaments and lots of events just from this..!
Yes, we will be fighting Benoitikk the Mandelbrot dragon, we will get a condition named complexity (requires integral infusion) while fighting with polynomial swords.
Good one!
Try mantra mesmer with greatsword. You seem like the person who prefers to be that carry glass cannon ranger in games. Mesmer are probably one of the few who actually have high crit. dmg and long range.
That’s the idea for fractal dungeon generator which is what we’re getting but not sure if their going to do it in its true potential for infinite content.
Mathematically, the precision version of Sigil of Bloodlust is better even though Sigil of Bloodlust costs way more which means one or a combination of the five:
1)People can’t do math
2)People just go with the flow
3)People just buy Bloodlust thinking that its better because it’s more expensive
4)Thieves and elementals can have 100% crit chance.
5)Harder to craft? or rarer drop rate
I see. The wiki one is more specific though it’s pretty much the same as mine.
But now I can make some mathematical statements about the best sigils to have in this game
The voice for my character doesn’t match at all, and it would be cool if it was like Counter Strike or Tribes where I can click V->C or something like that way would give the command: “Fall Back!” or something. Or V-B and my character would say, “Go, go, go!”
This would be both practical for combat and add more aesthetic preference. Would be nice to see some option here. Would pay 20 dollars or so for a new voice set.
I hit for 1000 damage every hit per second and currently have 0% crit. chance and base crit. dmg. , which is 1.5.
I want to calculate my dps if I increased my crit. chance, to say, 50%.
Just pretend the dps here is hitting over an infinite number of times so the damage isn’t as random and ais s stable as possible.
Is this formula I made up correct for situation above?
1000 * (1+(crit. chance*crit. dmg))
So since my crit. chance is now 50%:
1000*(1+(.5*1.5))=1000*1.75=1750 dps.
So were getting Fractals of the Mists dungeon, but they don’t really explain what “fractal” implies, and though I know what fractals are, I’m wondering if the rest of the community does know.
I’m assuming people of the age 40ish would know as there was a fractal trend in the past, but I think the majority of people playing Guild Wars 2 are college and high school student, and pretty much all my friends in college don’t know what a fractal is.
For those who are curious on what fractals are, there’s a video series on youtube:

Actually, mathematically, crit. dmg% modifier is the weakest modifier in terms of dps (not talking about spike dmg).
……… I can draw better legendary weapons. Yeah, I do kind of think the design is dull but I think yours is more dull.
I think Legendary Weapons are fine for those players that play the game just a bit too much to show how much they’ve dedicated their time to the game.
I am personally for better stats on gear. Exotic armor aren’t difficult at all to obtain and just getting that slight boost for us end-game players would give us something to look forward to.
I enjoy Guild Wars 2, and I want to support it by buying from the cash shop; however, as much as I do want to buy something, there’s just not anything that seems worthy of purchasing.
For example, the armor skins look decent. I see there is a Warrior skin that was borrowed from Guild Wars 1 and it looks great for low levels but compared to the end game lvl 80 skins,Order of the Whispers/Valiant/Priory skins, dungeon armor skin, and soon infusion armor skin?, etc… I don’t see any point in purchasing these at all when the ones I can get at max level is much more aesthetically appealing, in my opinion.
Not only that, some of the skins that I actually want to buy can’t even be used in combat which is why I’m not buying them.
Then there’s small things like tonic and mini-pets, but they don’t have any practical applications I’ve seen so far and their aesthetic appeal is extremely small. Maybe if there was a mini-pet battle arena, I may eventually consider buying mini-pets.
And there are also small things such as consumables and boosts and services, but they don’t grab me for some reason. Maybe its because I can buy dyes from the trade house rather than buying dye packs with real money. Or maybe its because I can get chest keys or consumables for free when I complete story quests. I can’t quite put my finger on it but what is available in the store, currently, just does not grab my attention at all.
What I would buy:
-Mounts. Traveling, especially in WvW, can be a pain and adding mount battles would be interesting. It offers not only practical applications, but also a certain degree of aesthetic purpose. I would definitely pay 20 dollars or so to buy a mount.
-Aesthetic Weapon animations. Maybe add starry kind of glitters to attacks similar, or a trailing light similar to the legendary weapons or some dragon-shaped flame coming out of my Elementalist wand each time I attack. But I’d definitely pay good money for this.
-Change weapon animation hues. My mesmer shooting purple beams out of my Great Sword just doesn’t quite match the green hue of my armor. No actual applications. Just purely for aesthetics. But I’d pay 10 dollars or so if we could purchase a different hue to our weapon animations.
-Character aura. Just as it implies. Maybe a fiery demonic flame aura or some rainbow aura, etc… No actual applications. Just purely for aesthetics. I’d pay 20 dollars for this.
-Aesthetic Eye glow effect. Just to get our eyes to stand out more. I’d pay probably around 10 dollars for this.
-Voice alternatives. To be honest, the voice that is set for my character doesn’t match my character at all. Also, I would like to see my character talking more. Tribes and Counter-Strike and most FPS I believe has this feature. Clicking V->C or something like that way would give the command: “Fall Back!” or something. This would be both practical and sound aesthetically pleasing. Would be nice to see some option here. Would pay 20 dollars or so for a new voice set.
-Housing. Lots of potential here especially for crafting. Gem store could provide much exclusive furnitures and the such.
-Exclusive faces and hairs and accessories. I personally thought there was a lack of faces and hair and accessories choice . Also, maybe a ticket to redo our looks. Also, personally, I think there should be an age feature. Every character in the game seems to be between 20-40. But maybe some people want to be that white bearded wizard that is like 100 years old or so or maybe some people want to be loli like an anime character.
And the list goes on but these are just some examples of things I’d buy for sure. What do you guys think?
Try throwing 5 point in illusion and my GS 4 skill goes from 20 sec→ 16 sec.
Then I try getting the GS 20% cd reduction and still 16 sec.
I also tried other way
GS 20% reduction brings it from 20-16 sec.
But then adding 5 points in illusion, it’ s still 16 sec.
Apparently it doesn’t stack. 20% is cap.
And ahem. Btw are you sure the math works that way?
20% of 10 -> 8 seconds
20% of 8 seconds -> 6.4 seconds or 6
You claimed 6. I think it’s 6.4
Were worried about 4k dmg? What about 17k dmg shatter builds (22k if synced with 1hsword)? 10k+ thief backstab or warrior axe f1?
Jokes on you bro.
I guess it’s true if you don’t know how to swap weapons nor if you can play situations correctly.
Easy’s claim is under conditions where we cast illusions exactly when they recharge and if you do not weapon swap.
And I surely don’t spam my illusions. There is a max number of clones. It’s 3.

If your going from pure dmg (not cond. dmg), get +crit dmg% as last resort and focus more on crit% chance and dmg%.
crit% chance is about 25% better than dmg% while dmg% is about 4x better than +crit. dmg%
Funny how everyone spends money on bloodlust sigil , paying 2g for it, rather than the cheap Accuracy sigil when the precision version is actually better in 90% of situations. Nobody does their math.
5 illusions? Fact or opinion? I’d say opinion.
The lvl 25 trait for the very first trait to the top which does 5%+dmg when enemy is doing nothing is practically useless until you stun the enemy. Either make it +10-20% dmg or make the condition easier to fulfill.
I run a glass cannon mantra build for spvp and roam/snipe people down as great sword has one of the better ranges in this game. I’m almost rank 21 now.
I have decided to level my mesmer now to 80 because I think this is probably one of the few viable crit. range builds in this game and max pve gear is so going to make my crit. go out of control. Mantra weak later? Opposite.
Hardly the “root” of all mmo end-game problems. You mentioned ideas that would fix small scratches, though I agree with some of them and they may help. However, everything you mentioned has a connection with some “material” gain or some progression, ranking, etc… in the game. Or “better rewarding” is what this threads about. I’m a pvper and I’m not looking for better rewarding such as a more efficient dungeon token/gold/karma, etc… system. Rather, I’m looking for content that increase the quality of the “gameplay” itself such as adding new attribute stats, weapons, and skills.
Create a combat system where all skills have a certain activation time, and players have the choice to release the charger early or later for certain effects.
For example:
Allow 1 combo skills to activate earlier but do less damage.
Basically, holding on 1 does more damage, but releasing it earlier allows you to attack quicker which may be useful for other effects such as stacking conditions or spawning illusions.
Call the channeling or activation bar “threshold,” and add this to attributes where we can add to threshold in order to release the charge-up earlier for more damage.
This’ll also solve problem where we have lack of ways to modify how fast we attack other than quickness and give combat more flavor.
The skills in gw2 are too straightforward. Activate, does damage. That’s like pokemon card game. Then you have Magic the Gathering, which you can do insane combos. GW1 had that. Well, would have had that potential except they try to nerf or prevent anything that is a legitimate “combo”. Death Shroud and Spectral Armor for example.
They want every single spell to do just 1 thing instead of being able to many things and combo and synergize with other skills so that whatever crappy build you make will still be somewhat decent. Combat made for beginners.
Not only that, arenanet is so scared of “overpowered” builds that everything seems underpowered. Look at the vamp runes and sigils. Steals hp… and is almost worthless yet in other games, vamping hp from dmging is carry machine power. Then, they make crit dmg only x1.5 instead of the standard x2.0 in most rpg games.
Personally, I prefered GW1 where everything is overpowered instead in GW2 where everything is underpowered. A game where everything is overpowered is much more fun and interesting. The game will then be all about counterring and reacting to enemies rather than just spamming 1 or whatever like in GW2.
sPvP takes too long to start.
Make the “I am Ready” button take half the screen. 90% of the games, there is always someone who doesn’t click I am ready. In fact, they are actually there chatting in map chat and just trolling us all.
Been doing WvW since beta since level 1 all the way to lvl 80. I solo all the enemies supply camp, win 1 vs 3, and etc…
Yet… there is nothing saying that I conbtributed X amount to my server.
And its sad to see that people with commander titles that can’t even lead. Commander should be something earned by doing things not paying 13 dollars to some gold website or farmed pve 24/7.
4k is impressive? Let’s look at Mesmer(clone explosions), Wars(axe f1), and Thieves (backstab) critting over 10k.
I went 100% power spec and death shroud from 100% life force and still hardly doing near the damage my other 100% power spec builds from wars, mesmers, thieves, and even elementalists.
Noticed theres a bug where characters eyes turns red sometimes. One way to trigger it is by going to combat mode and switching from battle armor to outpost costume.
Took screenshots…

(not sure if I linked image correctly)
Notice how red eyes looks so much better than the regular eyes to the left…
So if a bug can give us red eyes, why don’t they just give us red eyes!? Asurans get it, why don’t we? IHeck, I’d pay 10 dollars for it :X
