No no, they buffed withdraw, the skill that makes the thief take a huge roll backwards, with the bonus of clearing immobilize / chill / cripple. Possibly because it didn’t fill a niche nearly as securely as hide in shadows (the healing skill that stealths a thief) and signet of malice (healing on attack) did. So making it have a slightly disproportionate heal makes it attractive enough to consider in the general case.

You are right. I just started a thief and found out it was not the stealth-heal.

Where the ranger lacks in character performance,the player can compensate by refining his playing skill. So that when the day ranger bugs has been fixed,u will be outperforming the people who use EZ modes like thieves who only spam heartseeker,warriors immobilise+haste+100b. Since these people rely on superior character performance rather than improving their playing skills.

Be patient fellow rangers and refine ur skills during the wait.

If there are other more interesting professions to play, why should you stuck with your ranger? My dungeon support mesmer is so fun that I almost considering delete my ranger and make a thief for trying out.

With 1700+ hours experience, you should know there is a significant difference between PvP and PvE don’t you?

Ranger is not useless,it just takes time to get used to it as you will be controlling 2 character at the same time and there is also alot of broken mechanics that you have to endure with. But its still manageable because I’m an average player and I’ve achieved all this on ranger alone.

Only difference in PVE n PVP is that npc don’t whine when they die

I am not saying you cannot be a good ranger. What I mean is in a dungeon group, ranger is the most useless member. I have no problem farming with my ranger neither(skillpoints, explore, whatever).

Also, you are only controlling one character just like other professions, because your pet’s ai is so poor.

Additionally, I see you are only using your ranger in PvP(which is a totally different part of the game). So I wonder have you ever tried any other professions yet?

The ettin problem. Ettins have large amount of health which means it takes longer to kill them, which means they will most likely re-spawn before I killed the third one. This is definitely not fun if ettins are around skill points.

Other than [Group] events, they all scale for 1-10 players. We’re also looking at scaling past that for world bosses and Orr megaevents, but that will take time. If there’s an event that you’re convinced isn’t scaling, please post the name and location and I’ll look at it. I know I’ve solo’d all of the Wayfarer Foothills events that I worked on.

Did you solo the dome? Imo it is impossible for one to solo it…….

Edit: I would like to know how did you solo that boss…. it seems I always don’t have enough endurance on my warrior to dodge all its charges. Additionally, this dome event is definitely not worth it—at least a chest should spawn in that room.

There are some feminine pieces of armor, but they tend to be lower leveled. This chest-peice I believe is Feathered armor.

Thats the skin for male…….. and its not lower leveled……… So what you are talking about is human/norn males wear feminine armors and these armors look low-level………

This armor issue is very disturbing to me because my female asura mesmer is wearing the feather vest right now. Every time I toggle the Hero panel I will see her “naked(without nipples)”. I would like to suggest that the developer could at least use female armor skin and make the chest area flat.

Just leveled up a mesmer, my life is so much better and the group I usually run with all said it is much quicker if I use mesmer.

Southern pact squad stuck right next to the finish point and there are apparently only 6 squad member but the status shows 7/7. Dont know where is that missing member. I got a elementalist to use glyph of renewal in earth attunement near the squad but nothing happened.

My main is a ranger. Bad pet ai and bad build diversity made me go for mesmer/warrior. Then I saw this thread talking about how bots are usually rangers, so I thought there must be something which is not wrong about rangers.

Well, now I use my ranger solely for farming/gathering.

I am so glad that I abandoned my useless ranger now.

Gotta say that i’m getting pretty disheartened with the whole pvdoor scenario. last night before i crashed we had DB and EB solidly behind us.

YB did have a decent lead, and you guys came out swinging hard at the reset.

But the majority of that lead stems from the tactical decision by Dragonbrand to only flex NA guilds in three maps. We decided to leave YB bl alone for the evening, and EBay apparently followed suit or had trouble setting up any kind of foothold there.

Had Dragonbrand decided to flex major forces into YB bl, and leave EBay bl alone for reset night the score would have been closer.

EBay is still trying to dislodge DB from their homeland as we speak.

How is that a “tactical decision” when DB can clearly outnumber both servers combined during off peak hours?

You can do as much tactical decision making all you want during the day, it doesn’t change that fact that your server is playing PvE mode at night.

Whether u wanna believe it or not, these kinda cancerous thoughts directly, and indirectly, impact the success or failure of your peers… Buck up lil trooper and keep fighting, you have some good players in your game, no need dis their efforts

The fact that DB can own all 4 maps at once during the night without any resistance is what is impacting the success or failure of my peers. Its a simple fact really. They get more points at night than anyone during the day. Unfortunately that’s the way to goes with this matchup.

Not to be offensive, but daytime does suck. If you think loosing towers(except those that we suppose to have) during daytime is better than capping the map and holding it during nighttime, there must be something wrong. As a daytime(mainly in the morning) player, I seriously think I deserve some disparage cause every time I go to eternal battleground, I feel so useless watching 2/3 of the map, which has been captured by some hard works during the night, getting capped away piece by piece.

Or you are just saying this for a morale boost to daytime players from a commander….

This seems like the most appropriate thread for this issue.

In addition to the teleporting nodehack bots, I’ve been seeing a lot of bots which log out the moment a player gets too close. I was able to trap one where every time it logged in, it logged right back out due to my presence. It appears that they log out as soon as a player gets within targeting range – meaning that they can sometimes be visible at a distance, but not targetable to right-click and report. You can’t access their player portraits either.

Amusingly enough, when they attempt to log back in, they detect players in proximity before they even visibly display in the world – you’ll see their bears pop into existence, and then vanish almost immediately, but you never see the player.

@CC Eva and/or any other ANet representatives – Any tips on how to report this one? The standard reporting feature is unusable in this case, and screenshots are equally problematic.

Being able to forge 4 stacks of 250 bells into an unbreakable bell wouldn’t be such a bad addition.

It makes sense for a lot of reasons:

1. If you have 1,000 bells, you already aren’t going to run out in a reasonable time frame.
2. Players unable to reach a collection of 1,000 still have something to show for the time and effort they’ve spent.
3. The market value of 20,000 sweaters already exceeds the price of an unbreakable bell, and the value of 1,000 bells is already very close.

As it is now, players may put in just as much effort recycling their laundry into gifts, and may have little to show for it in the end — they could be working towards something instead.

The different between 15 minutes and 2 minutes.
The different between 3 lvl and 1 lvl.
The different between 1 item and multiple items.

I think the breakable one is just not a good deal in this way.
900 giant gift, 400 medium, and 1000+ small, still didn’t get it. Put it into the gem store and I will surely get it directly.

And for those that uses math, if some one can get it on their first attempt, it means that it is still possible for you to not get it after you opened infinite boxes, though the chance of getting it will be extremely high at that time.

One thing i want to point out is that only if i know this event is character-wide one time but not account-wide. I have several alts and enough time to do this event more than 5 times.

And why are ppl looted still getting the chest?

Oh actually I want to point out the rendering system is surely bad for WvW: ppl just show up next to you sometimes….
