Well the black lion salvage kit is from the gem store, and you can get banned from salvaging too much of “the bad stuff”. I wouldn’t risk it, to be honest.
Can’t stand FotM. Just make it ANY dungeon like you did that one time.
Call visa and ask. The game won’t let you.
Fire Elemental works underwater.
You know, I was never a MMORPGer. I played GW1 for 300 hours. It was really awesome cause there were challenges, it was about going out there.
Now, I understand what “Gear treadmill” means – you’re endlessly running after the best gear.
Whatever plans they have to make you upgrade your stuff, it’ll probably cost 250 ectos, 250 passion flowers, 250 blood or whatever ridiculous grind you have to go through.
Also salvage all your expensive stuff, and buy “Super Fine Transmutation Stones” (for 800 gems on the TP!) because level 90 items aren’t covered by “Fine transmutation stone” to reskin your 250 charged lodestone foefire!
Especially when the team creating the content probably has little knowledge of the game altogether.
My question would be WHY did those recipe exist the way they were? If it was such an obvious oversight, shouldn’t ANY content developper have spotted it?
How did this get through quality assurance?
Buy gems from the TP with real money, convert to gold and buy materials from the TP.
MMORPGs are a dictatorship. We live under their rule, and we are at their mercy. They have unlimited power over your account and there is nothing binding them to anything.
If they decide to ban you, tough luck. Find another game. Maybe this will affect their PR and lessen their sales?
Sad, it may be time to move on then. I don’t like the way this was handled at all. Thanks for all inputs guys.
I don’t either. And you know what’s gonna happen? Thread locked, deleted, moved, etc. Just broom the trash under the rug so nobody sees it.
Just like the “reduced loot” thread.
Yeah, or space it out by doing longer path in between shorter ones. Spruce it up with longer dungeons such as CoE and SE path 2, maybe CM too.
Southsun Cove! Such a great map. Also I like hanging out in straits of devastation, it’s so inspiring.

I don’t mind the general theme of Orr.
I quite like it.
What I can’t stand is all the CC-spam from the enemies.
That was arenanet’s way of making the zone challenging. I mean it’s so easy to run through mobs when they don’t CC, that’d be the only thing preventing you from getting around fast.
I’d like to know if it’s an exploit to use the ash legion spy kit to skip mobs in FotM
Just did my first full runs of AC and got 3 fractals today, so I guess they are achieving something. What I find a bit ironic though, is that they are pushin people to play these things when their development with, or lack there of, matchmaking to these is horrid.
This game is supposed to be a AAA game isn’t it?
And grind free!
Thanks John for the quick reply. However that still begs the question of whether quality of salvage kits affect the chances of obtaining ectos.
Simply put, does a Black Lion Salvage Kit warrant you a higher chance (50% as advertised) of obtaining ectos or are ectos not considered in the “rare material” spectrum at all and hence you’d have the same chance of obtaining ectos regardless of quality of salvage kit (e.g. crude vs black lion)?
Thanks again for the clarification, John.
My question still stands. Is there anyone who would be able to provide clarification on this?
I apologise for the necro, but I’d really like some clarification on this matter please.
I don’t think you’ll get it. That sounds like classified info. If there is no advantage, then people would buy less gems and buy less black lion kits.
Has nothing to do with “endgame” genius. It’s about being able to even get things done ….nothing about the temples is designed for solo play. The point is no one is around to even retake them.
That’s the gripe. Either needs a nerf or a reason to bring others back.
You’re missing his rather sarcastic point. These areas are supposed to be the end-game, but due to the constant CC spam and general annoyance of them, they’re dead.
No-ones happy with the “end-game” as it is.
I’m glad at least you understood
What, you’re not happy with the endgame?
Would like some feedback on this as well.
LOL. Also don’t play more than 2 hours a day or you won’t get loot.
Lionguard Lyns is still disabled. Any idea when she’ll be back?
Yes, you did more than 5 or 6 dungeons in an about 2-3 hours timespan.
Diminishing return.
Transfer is free until guesting is implemented, is what Arenanet said.
They lenghtened the transfer time to offset WvW cheating.
Here are the following complaints I have about TA.
The Up path, the first spider boss is spit attack that spits in front of him has no visual queue and pretty much 1 shots immediately. Very stupid move.
She has a visual cue. Her mouth shines/blinks/sparkles (whatever you call it) before she attacks. She’ll alternate between spray and AoE.
Just because you don’t notice it, doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a visual CUE.
3500 gold, in 4 months.
Yes they are arenanet employees.
You draw pretty well.
Darx.9842, you know the rule; pics or it didn’t happen. No matter how much a friend of a friend said he’s sure he’s seen it, he hasn’t until there’s a screenshot.
As for final rest, it’s bugged out of the loot table. It doesn’t exist ingame, stop wasting your time of this event.
Its funny, because what you just said… Doesnt make ANY Sense to me…
You told him to have pictures, or else it isnt proof? Yet, you say its bugged and tell us to stop wasting time?… Pictures or you don’t know
Final Rest does not exist in the loot table in GW2.
At game release, there were thousands of players in every zone in the game, every event were completed infinitely more times 3 months ago than they are now.
If final rest was in the chest that people have been farming, it’d have been found many, many times by now.
Even if the chance was infinitely small, such as the chance for the new exotic recipes from bosses like howling king and ghost eater, it’d have been found.
Search for “final rest” on the TP. See it? That’s cause no one has ever listed it. And even if someone obtained it at some point, it’d have made it on the TP, like every other item released at the start of the game.
It never has been found, and never will be found.
goldi.3129, bots don’t need the GW2 client. lol.
The TP is a website that you can access thru simple html requests
You don’t seem to have very technical knowledge of programming. But trust me, OCR has nothing to do with it, you can pull all data from a request to the website, you don’t have to get the coordinate of anything within the game client, as all requests are sent thru html
The “algo” thing you mention is irrelevant, as humans do the same thing, the bot would simply relist every few days, as a regular player would.
I’d suggest you do more research. I know for a fact that they exist. Don’t ask me how.
Please take note of the term of service of GW2:
- You may not market, promote, advertise, or solicit within the Guild Wars 2 Game or on the official Guild Wars 2 websites.
This thread reported for advertising and soliciting.
That’s nothing, I did it in 3 hours.
Well I’m glad that we agree there is such a thing as TP bots.
There’s definitely a lot of rebalancing to do with a level cap increase, and with the state of the rest of the game as it is, that’s gonna be a challenge.
Narkosys.5173, you’re right on so many levels, it’s sad. All high end tier require extreme grinding. 500 ectos for a shiny backpack? That’s just ridiculous, and that’s just 1 small part of it.
Lol tp flipping is mind boggingly easy. You could program the bot to crawl sites like gw2spidy for items with a big gap between sell and buy, program the bot to place buy orders here and there, and then cancel them after a few days, then place sell orders at 1c less, and refresh them every few days.
Very simple programming task, there’s no real “AI” involved, so much as just doing some math and repetitive functions.
EDIT And since you edited your post to add a PS, let me respond that gw2spidy contains all that info, readily formatted and accessible thru APIs.
Programming a bot that buys and sells thru data mined from gw2spidy is a trivial task for a competent programmer.

Gaudrath.6725, they exit. You’d be surprised what people can accomplish with programming.
There exists software that play the trading market for you. (in real life) They work.
Teleport to lion’s arch from heart of the mist for free.
Ah, see I don’t do PvP and I don’t have an engi, so I didn’t know about those.
Yes, that sound pretty hardcore, 1500 is impossible to get! how can you reach them?
Geez, and they were just nerfed!
To teach others about an existance of dodge button or utility skills that allow you to run past them.
Lol, so much this. Just dodge, the puppies won’t get you. And to be honest, this is the least worrying part. What about those packs of knockdown combo kittens we always skip? Those are much more of a pain to run through.
3 months later, they’re still as boring as ever.
No they’ll have to salvage and build new ones.
Plague recipe: http://www.gw2db.com/items/72154-recipe-plague
I strongly believe Trumaine to drop it, as he’s the necro boss that turns into plague form.
Trumaine is the boss of path 2 (asura path).
I think the price is so high because very little people have the recipe. he’s an horrible boss to fight and the drop rate for the recipe is so minuscule, it could take hundreds of runs.
jumping puzzles discovered, not jumping puzzles completed.
Just go inside and wp out.
Also you can do them all from the lion’s arch overflow, just go in the JP area to get credit.
I know the guys at http://www.gw2db.com/ hacked the dat file and are able to pull the files from it. Maybe email them?
I know the run bots. :P But they’re still running them on mobs. That’s what I meant by “farming mobs,” but you’re right there’s a big difference. What I meant to say is why aren’t they using TP bots.
And yes, I’m aware that GS get a lot of their cash from hacking. But you know that’s not the only way otherwise we’d never see bots.
There are TP bots. You just can’t see them cause they don’t run around with bears.
All of the guild wars 2 files are in Gw2.dat, a gigantic file.
The sound probably takes up a gig, maybe a bit more?
No offense, but nobody has any infos because ANet never said anything about a level cap increase. Far all we know, it can just as well stay the same for years to come. Or maybe instead of level increases we might get baby quaggans to follow us around and enhance our skills which is a thing ANet should really do now that I think about it.
The level cap increase has been confirmed since the beggining of the game:
hxxp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLHfq2lJY5A&t=58m34s
“Q: What of the level cap? Have you guys decided whether you’re going to be increasing the level cap in future expansions?
Colin Johanson: Yeah. The level cap will be 80 on the initial release of the game, and we absolutely would increase it further into the game, probably through expansions is the most likely place we would do that."
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Colin_Johanson
Colin Johanson leads the development team that is responsible for building the content for Guild Wars 2, driving the direction and production of the games event system, personal character story, and all other content types within the game.
Further confirmed by Mike O"Brian:
http://www.gamefront.com/guild-wars-2-level-cap-raise-confirmed-for-future/
“In GW1 we never advanced the level cap through four campaigns/expansions. The game design didn’t allow for it. But GW2 was designed without those restrictions, and we’ve always expected that we will someday raise the level cap in GW2.”

I noticed you have 3 “blue” buffs on, the “wrench”, the “apple” but there’s another, the 3 X’s, what buff is that?
Why is it that when a rune drops in a dungeon that it is immediately soul bound instead of account bound?
I’ve gotten 2 superior runes of the monk on my engineer during AC runs.
It’s a good rune, but it has no purpose on my engi but it could suit my Guardian alt.I’m just wondering why the dropped runes are soul bound instead of account bound.
Is there any reasoning behind it I fail to see?I’m pretty sure it would make a lot of people happy to change this.
Yes.
