This game needs more item tiers to be more competitive with the current market.
I agree. There should be a new tier called Super Legendary where you can upgrade your legendary to have twice the amount of particle effect for the price of 2000 gold
The issue is that you’re clicking all over the place.
Learn to play better instead of asking the devs to adapt gw2 to your lack of skills.
Bind a key to “target nearest enemy”, that might help.
I don’t see any problems with the targetting.
If I click something, it targets it. If I click anywhere else, it untargets my target.
How is that iffy? It’s just… normal.
When you click an icon no your desktop, it selects it. If you click outside of the icon, it unselects it.
You can bind a key to “Nearest Enemy” under Targeting. Pressing that key will select the closest enemy to you, that helps when you select something else and need to get back into the fight.

Guys, this subject has been beaten to death.
The whole keyboard argument was made at release and you can find the hundreds of threads with mod posts in a google search:
https://www.google.ca/#q=gw2+macro+keyboard+site:forum-en.guildwars2.com
The answer has always been the same, one button, one key press.
Can we lock this topic already?
What had to be said has been said, now people are just trying to nit pick every little thing to find loopholes.
One key press, one button. That’s the only thing allowed.
My apologies, you’re right. It was not specifically authorized, and I shouldn’t have claimed so.
Combat Mode does much, much more than 1:1 keypress and is allowed to be used.
There’s absolutely nothing they can do to distinguish autohotkey pressed buttons vs manually pressed ones without breaking the law.
That’s neither hard nor illegal to detect a constant 300 millisecond delay between identical key presses in a game which transmits user key presses to the server as part of the game mechanic itself.
If gw2 had any sort of anti hack, then maybe we wouldn’t have so much hackers ingame.
Why does gw2 even allow teleport hacks to work? Without insta banning the user?
There’s no detection, really. it’s mostly based on player reports
I have a bunch of ascended armor and weapon and I agree with Celestina’s post.
However, the dps increase is very nice. Work on weapons first and slowly work on your armor.
I’ve been “selling” my skill points lately, and making a consistent 1g per SP
Plenty of other posts on here indicate you are selling 3-5 times below what you could get…..
You’re right. Thanks for the wakeup call. I have to do better market research.
So I saw one of those “indo” thing on the SE LFG. I joined the party and asked them what it means.
They said it means indonesia, and they’re indonesians, as thekillerangel suggested.
Here’s an asura guard proudly sporting the aegis shield.
He loves it. Don’t take it away from him.
How comes you guys are able to find time to answer to something incredible unimportant like playing an instrument but we don’t hear anything about the future
or status of the game??
Because stop asking questions and go buy gems.
Good point, Pandeh.
Considering the amount of hacks in gw2, the wall hacks, teleport hacks, invincibility hack, etc hack, and none are detectable…
Using autohotkey is probably the last thing that’ll get you banned, since tons of people use Combat Mode
Just don’t start bragging about it, because it is probably against the rules.
Charrs must be the bane of every graphic designer at Arenanet
I wouldn’t be surprised if they spend less time on charr versions because they know it’s one of the least popular race, especially female charrs
Now I’m confused.

Gayle Gray’s response: http://i.imgur.com/VH0Nf.png
She’s basically saying that if you don’t use third party tools to gain an unfair advantage, it’s fine.
Doesn’t this say, that the “general statement is that anything that gives advantage is forbidden.”. And based on my example, what real playful advantage would exist?
Script =/= mod. A script is essentially a bot. So, no, you cant use it.
GW2 doesn’t support mods. Combat Mode is a script made in AutoHotKey.
Don’t be pedantic, please.
Unless you are pressing one physical key per each individual action, it is not permitted. Anything that presses multiple buttons per single user button-press or key-press is not allowed.
Mark, Gayle has already said that Combat Mode was approved:
Combat mode holds keys down permanently beyond a one button per action.
Why was this script authorized by your employees when it clearly acts on more than one button press per action?
Please, keep consistent in your answers. Gayle says something, you say something else.
Enlighten us.
A lot of keyboards have macro software in them, and those are not bannable.
Check this posting by Gaile Gray about macro software
About authotkey
HAve you heard of the “combat mode” gw2 mod? it’s written in authotkey, and the arenanet employees have already said they tolerated that software:

Make sure to read all those threads to know exactly what has been discussed!
During the start of the game there was no “tax” on selling gems. It was introduced a few months into the game, I believe.
Gems were on the constant rise, and since there was no tax, you could resell an hour after and make some gold.
Well the living story is what sells gem store items, not dungeon runs.
Same question a year ago: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/account/Are-Black-Lion-Key-runs-an-exploit/first#post1222647
Gaile Gray and John Smith both said it’s totally ok.
keep in mind the karka shell backpiece is currently bugged and cannot be upgraded to ascended
Not everyone joins squad chat. Not the entire map is in squad chat.
Spamming is still against the ToS, so if they want to waste 100g and get banned, their problem.
I would also like a party-wide DPS meter, and an inspect command.
Aditionally, the LFG should have more restrictive options such as minimum level requirement, to prevent lowbies from noobing around joining your groups.
This game is too “friendly”, it needs more reality checks.
Agreed. Was commanding a lane and kept getting suppressed, was extremely annoying.
Maybe disable chat suppression for commanders?
Pay more attention to the line: never focused on one character
He probably never even had max level
Is someone else using your account? Because you’ve been posting here for well past a year…..
good observation. did some stalking, check out this comment:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Rookie-personal-story-question/3863933
Thank you for replying to my rookie question. I’m gonna go with the Vigil for the level 80 pvt armor.
I’ve been playing this game for quite some time but never focused on one character nor have I finished the personal story. With that said, I’ve deleted all of my other professions and went with my Elementalist as a main.
Again thanks for replying.
Sounds like he’s just a super casual
if you do fractals you can get 20 slot bags with tokens
My favourite was putting a math skill testing question in the subject
“Answer 2+3x2 on join”
So many people answer 10…
You’re looking for Sonder the Seller, and he’s gone. There are a couple of threads about this and nobody has any idea.
I’ve been “selling” my skill points lately, and making a consistent 1g per SP
One of the problem is that the price of materials fluctuate greatly during the day, so not all trades are profitable, and not all the time.
You can make 1g per SP with trade X, but 5 hours later it’s down to 60s per SP, however another one will have taken over as good profit.
So here’s my suggestion, learn to use excel and the gw2spidy api.
Seems like Sonder the Seller was kidnapped when everyone moved back into LA, cause he’s nowhere to be found.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sonder_the_Seller is the NPC that accepted some older materials like zhaitaffy, candy corn, etc.
Well he’s gone. Even the wiki was edited and the location removed.
Patch notes say nothing about him being removed. What’s going on!?
Legendaries on the TP was a very good move by anet in a monetary sense.
Some people have way, way too much money to waste and will buy 500$ of gems to buy a legendary off the TP.
That is the sole reason they are onthe TP. it was cash making move.
I think we all know at this point that the reset was just for the introduction of ascended armor and much more “harsh” AR gating (unavoidable agony).
Why? So you can go sink that 400-500g on an ascended set.
What about this post from last year which says otherwise?
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/mesmer/Runes-of-ranger-mesmers/first#post1620747
Also from the wiki:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Rune_of_the_Ranger
The damage bonus for six superior runes applies for any summoned pet, such as Glyph of Elementals or Sigil of Demon Summoning, but not for illusions.
EDIT: However, I’ve been testing for the past 5 minutes in sPvP, and I’m pretty sure mesmer illusions are proccing the bonus. Weird how the wiki has different info…
Anyone has an idea?
(edited by PowerCat.5738)
this is the chat code for the original: [&AgG6pQAA]
it has a defensive infusion slot
chat code of the new item: [&AgGeAgEA]
it has an “upgrade slot”
conclusion, they are different items
You can play how you want. Start your own group and set your own rules.
Play how you want and let me play how I want.
if you notice, the original scelerite karka shell has an infusion slot, while the new one has a regular upgrade slot.
they’re not the same items
It’s a technological issue. It’s just the way the game is made.
It would require too much resource to rework that system, it’s very low on their list of priorities.
Turn off “post processing” completely. it’ll reduce those effects even more
Oh man. Robert Hrouda.
That guy knew what he was doing. A huge loss for anet.
There seems to be a bug where the new seclerite karka shell cannot be inserted in the mystic forge for ascended upgrade.
Screenshot of the item description, claiming it can be upgraded in the mystic forge:
(edited by PowerCat.5738)
Keep the shield on Aegis. it looks really sweet
To be honest I’m 200% more excited about dredge nerfs than increased ascended drops LOL
They didn’t say they increased drop rates anywhere.
now I’m sad again
remember that mystic forge patch about “greater range of rewards” meaning you get lower level items? yeah…
hey don’t forget the new wardrobe change
- now it’s easier than ever to change your looks (for transmutation charges)
- now living story will reward you with ACCOUNT BOUND skins, cause god forbid you’d make money form the living story
(edited by PowerCat.5738)
no they’re not reflectable, you gotta dodge out
To be honest I’m 200% more excited about dredge nerfs than increased ascended drops LOL
Thanks for finally taking another look at this fractal and fixing some huge annoyances!!
From the patch notes:
Underground Facility Fractal
Based on the recent Collaborative Development Initiative (CDI), we’ve revisited the dredge factory fractal with intent to improve the overall experience. Too many dredge at high scales caused the play experience of this fractal to suffer both in terms of length and difficulty. With these two things in mind, we’ve redesigned a few core encounters in the instance to ease the burden of these symptoms.
Pressure Plates
- Removed scaling spawns. A set number of dredge will now spawn at each key location in this puzzle regardless of scale.
Bomb Path
- Removed scaling spawns.
- Introduced a stealth mechanic: All players, regardless of profession, will now be able to acquire stealth to complete this puzzle. Beware the dredge security countermeasures!
Turret Path
- Removed scaling spawns.
- Turrets will now fire in set patterns to discourage pesky players from progressing further into the facility.
Rabsovich Encounter
- Removed additional spawns as a requirement for completion of the event.
- Reduced Rabsovich’s health by 15%.
- Rabsovich now appropriately telegraphs his shock wave attack.
