Wow… now I see what farming cof did to the players, this is how a cof farmer sees other dungeons ?

Yeah this was the game state like 3-4 months after launch

I don’t consider myself a COF farmer. COF farmers run it for several hours at a time. I can stomach only 3 or 4 runs before I need to take a break. Usually that break is from COF for the rest of the night. COF farmers also demand that people ping gear and kitten when they enter the party, which is a level of elitism that makes me sick. My usual COF groups includes a ranger and a guardian, and we can do the dungeon just as quickly as any 4 war/1 mes party.

Oh, sorry for the “farmer” thing than, yet Your pov for dungeons are not actual. I run pug mostly. 98% of all my runs are with pugs.

But the problems of dungeons You are pointing don’t exist if You run a pug with knowledge how to do them, an everyday pug. In fact EVERY dungeon in this game is hard if peaple don’t know how to do them. Take 4 ppl with You to CoF or CoE that are “fresh” runners with a little experience and see what happens, same goes for every dungeon in the game.

Sorrow’s Embrance
Part 1 golems ? Easy as hell fight. Just learn “where” to fight them.
Part 3 also a fast part if done correctly.
Path 2… meh yeah insane amount of trash.

Twilight Arbor
Rabid gear is good for WvW, but ppl run it it’s becouse of the looks.
FW/UP done with a pug. After 2x wipe on last boss one of the members told the rest “what” do dodge, thankfully all pug player had brains – killed after 3rd try, it beacame easy as hell.

Ascalon Catacombs
1. Sometimes we don’t do it at first attempt but never failed hard. Mostly 2-3 max aaand done.
2. First time hearing that… did it with Mesmer, Thief, Guardian, Warrior, Necro all melee weapons nothing ever missed.
3. Kholer is a 1 min fight… 2min at max :|

Arah
2. That’s the idea of “the last hardest dungeon” that it punishes bad groups. If it does not suit You don’t play it. Do other dungeons if You have limited time. Adapt.
3. Are we playing the same game ? I farmed the Arah set with my thief. Did 1-3 paths (depending on how well the pug was) in 4h of my total play time and still had time to do my dailis and other crap completed the set in 1 week. 0 times failed, 3 times all melee even! With a pug :O

So I don’t know with whom You play dungeons, I pug them constantly and they are not hard if everyone in the pug know how to.

My contentions with the other dungeons are because I don’t have as much fun playing them, for the reasons that I have stated. If you feel that it is snobbery to dislike dungeons because they are not fun, then I have no purpose for your opinions.

If you cannot play an instrument or do a specific sport You give up becouse it’s not fun and tell everyone “they should do this sport more easy becouse it’s too hard to do it and it’s not fun”.

That’s how dungeons are, the fun comes when all know how to play it.

Strategy 2:

Make absolutely certain that the warders or the volatile blossoms outside this boss room kill Morrigu. She will spawn adds on you (since NPCs don’t dodge) and make this much more difficult. She should be dead before walking into the tree’s room.
All players should stay at max range (1200) and focus range DPS on the tree.
The tree will slam his left fist (the one on your right) onto the ground, after that he shakes his branches and green goo starts floating down. When you see him shake after the left fist slam, double-dodge. This should prevent the spider adds from spawning (you will see “evade” multiple times if you are successful).
If spider adds do spawn, you cannot ignore them. Designate 2 melee DPS people to killing the adds while the other 3 members continue ranged focus on the tree. All 5 members should still stay at max range.

Using GW2 Wiki is so hard it hurts.

Did this with a PUG, all players had brains – easy mode.

Indeed Malrona is an easy to melee boss, you just have to be a fast dodger with that poison aoe spit attack half second to late and you get hit.

But tht spider shines like a dogs cohones before every attack It’s not hard to see, also the attacks are not random she does it 1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2 so you just dodge the “non poison crone” and that’s it.

But when you get poisoned by the frontal crone you have damage increase by 4x as long as you are poisoned.

Not long ago I farmed the Arah set on my thief, so I did 1-3 path every day (in my limited 5h play) but I loved “exp” partys!

Bou back to the topic, I also don’t concentrate on “class” rather what skill that that player have I always post “Every class welcome, just know how to play yours”.

I went with my Thief (on lvl 28 fractal), 2 more Thief joined and than a Guardian joined and said “lol 3 thiefs really ?” and left the group… a Engi joined, the guardian joined again and said “lol really hahahahaha” and than left again and finally an ele joined – so 3x thief, engi, ele.

Swamp with Bloomhunger (lucky), dredge (soooo fast!) and didn’t remember the 3rd…

but that was one of my fastest fractal run ever it was so smooth and so fast I could not belive at first, but after that experience I also come in conclusion that what matters is personal skill and knowledge how to play before what class You play.

Yeah but, it’s limited to a “projectile” so if anything stands in it’s way it will obstruct or just hit something else still nice idea

There are many triks with the DS"2"/Spectral Walk/Flesh Wurm teleportation system I found them really practic in some scenatios.

For example:

Ice Fractal 1st boss “crystal” he teleports peaple in random spots around the map, but befor he does that a massive snow storm appear hit Spectral Walk, you will get randomly teleported hit Spectral Recall (camera full zoom) and you are in the same place you where taken from.

Colossus fractal, when the hammer needs to be taken I rush before all on the platforms when the “head statues blow the wind” and when on top I press Spectral Walk, jump down take the hammer (the team needs to know or they don’t give it to you ^^) and teleport back up.

Same on the “2 hand seals” I run to the seal on his right arm (where the 2 mobs are that you don’t kill them) before entering I put spectral walk, hit the seal, spectral recall no mob is pulles + swiftness hammer returned.

Swamp fractal. Spectral Walk + Flesh Wurm shines here. First I put Flesh Wurm on max range than when the counting starts I put spectral walk (in most cases I take skelt or spiders) so I run in on spectral walk take the orb recall, necrotic traversal and the orb is in it’s place.

Lupicus AoE when he starts it I pop up DS 2 in mid range of him so when the closest projectile under hi feet are allready gone I get teleported right under his feet and I’m safe.

PvE melee unfriendly bosses I start with Spectral Walk followed go DS hit Dark Path get out of DS after you get teleported Well of Suffering (or Darkness if you want some cc on a mob group) and Spectral Recall.

But the combinations really “shine” in pvp situations.

Need to “Finish” someone ? (assumming you have Flesh Wurm near or it does not work) before finishing pop spectral walk, start finishing casting, necrotic traversal away from the action and right before cast ends spectral recall and finished (works great on guardians)

I’m sure there are many other ways to use those skills but I do not know them yet :P

Just memorized on tdredge fractal in the beginning I tell the tem to rush on the close gete becouse I’ll stadnd there only for 2-3 secodns I pop Spectral Walk run trough the dredge stand there 2-3 seconds Spectral Recall and I’m safe

This is something I thought of… but idk too much about mechanics or IF can this be made, but it could be quite fun.

Death Magic Grandmaster Trait
Bloody Sacrafice
All summoned minions have their abilities redesigned so that after using it the minion dies
(something like flesh wurm’s attack + modified death nova trait but for every minion)

Blood Fiend: Heals for X hp and cures 2 conditions.
Summon Bone Minions: Explosion causes blindness for all foes for 3 seconds 240 radius finisher blast, poison field for 3 seconds.
Bone Fiend: Immobilizes enemies for 1 1/2 second 200 radius and leaving a field (3 seconds) that cripples for 1 second.
Flesh Golem: Gives the necromancer 3 seconds stability, and launches all enemys (400) in a 200 radius.

It’s just an example values can be changed I’m not so good with balancing but having such trait would be awesome for a MM necro

Urban Battlegrounds Fractal

Well just the last boss TBH, until than the fractal is nicely done but the last boss is just a nightmare

All last boss AoE don’t have a “telegraph” (or what’s it called dunno). I mean really ? are 10k attacks so unimortant they doesn’t need to have a red circle ? Moteor Shower is hard to see becouse the scenery and the falling meteors color are alike (maybe monitor failt dunno really but it’s harder for me to see it than Ele Shaman wich i like) FAILED

please add red circles to those attacks

2. NPC stuck in a wall… (screen) so we had to fight him all way without the npc…

Uncategorized Fractal

Harpies… PUGs are PUGs i don’t blame anyone for failing. But… they CAN shoot on us like crazy with their idiotic knockdowns but we CANNOT becouse ‘obstructed’ spam why is that ? It’s just simply stupid ! Gimme a break it’s ok if I can’t shoot you but you cannot shoot me becouse “obstructed” or “out of range” but why in Grenths name they CAN and we CANNOT attack them. It’s allready annoying all mobs can knockback/launch us from any cliff/rock/platfrom and we cannot in addition we cannot attack them becouse ‘obstructed’ but they can attack us – kitten logic that’s why. FAILED

Snowblind Fractal

Last boss teleporting peple inside the wall where they cannot attck or leave it… it’s like we have 1 player less even that player did not fail or do nothing wrong. FAILED

Summary

These are the only fails/bug that makes me enrage sometimes and no one does anything about them…

I even like those kitten dredge sometimes becouse that fractals does not bug (or at least it did not bug as long as I’m running dredge) sure the one who designed dredge is a psychopath that want’s to get revenge of his doughter boyfriend being a pve fan in GW2 but hey! 30+ mobs with non stoping daze/stun 5k auto attacs, blind immune… they should even be immune if a player is invis LOL they are BLIND so how can you run pass them in invis…

Well… I hate “dredge” as mobs becouse the are @#% up really nice… but the fractal works really well. FAILED (for creating those mobs You should be thrown to the lions sir)

There are so many minigames in GW2 but doing them alone is boring as hell… I would like to battle or race with my friends and guildies or do a guild event on one day evening on “the best runner” or make 2 teams fight with each other or brawl… There are so many good ideas to have fun with firneds yet every single minigame that comes in game You have to do solo… and the only thing I can do with friends/guildies are dungeons/fractals or farm group events… this is boring sometimes.

Playing with randoms is 5% of 100% fun of kicking your friends butt in dragon ball or other mini game.

So… why ?

TBH I only play them for achieves becouse I don’t find an MMO fun while not playing with friends.

Best PvE weapon set

Staff is also nice for combination with GS as for me.

Staff 4 (+Virtue of Justice traitet with 3 might) – 15 might
Staff 2 (when projectile pass it does like 3.3k crit after it does that you destroy it for another 1.4k crit)
Staff 3 symbol
swap to GS
GS 3 for gap closer blind and 3 voulner stack for 10 seconds (traited)
GS 4 for symbol (so enemy is in 2 symbols now)
GS 5
GS 2

End of combo this does really nice damage to the enemy. On multiple I spam Virtue of Justice for every enemy dead blinding (+ voulner traited) nearby enemys and gran might (traited) and burning to allys to it’s a good weapon for initiating damage.

Also on many normal mobs fast diying you spam blind + voulner + burning + might while attacking 5 targets (it’s a great weapon for TA)

Dungeon Difficulty Issues

I come from WoW and played a pally healer / tank so I’m used to having some sort of oh kitten button or some kind of heals. Any ideas what we can do to be able to survive dungeons?

I played WoW for 7 years… and It took me 3 months to get used to playing GW2 and loose all bad WoW fighting habbits.

2nd Explo is for 35lvl+ so 32 is really too low and it hurts like hell.

3rd You have to do many research on dungeons mechanics and how to play them in GW2 environment, becouse you will die badly, really badly and really fast – can be annoying.

I remember our first AC story run… all ppl from WoW, 11+ wipes on 1st champion.
First attempt on Arah – 7 hours and gave up (on Dwayna).

And don’t try explo too early even if it’s AC for 35 don’t be fooled by the lvl if You do now know the game machanics even as a 80 lvl best geared You will have problems, but if You are really good with game mechanics and encounters even as a 35 lvl You will do just fine.

Don’t rush with explo dungeons. Take your time, do research and practice a loat.

We practiced dodgging skills on the giant sometimes invading town of Nageling on Charr 15-25 map, when we understood how it worked and could melee him we where much much better with the dungeons.

I have all wepons, they really depend on the fight.

Mainly GS/Staff for my build. But on some bosses I change them along with some traits.

CoE Alpha Mace+Shield/Staff
Fire Elemental Shaman Scepter+Focus/GS
Dredge Ice Elemental Scepter+Torch/Focus
Lupicus Scepter+Focus/GS
Dredge Armor Suit Scepter+Torch/Shield
etc.

So it really depends on the fight I have all weapons in my bage just in case I never know what could be usefull.

Only 5 hours trying to beat Adnul Irongut I’m having so much “FUN” he breaks my EVERY heal I just love wasting so much time on a really hard content to get fantastic rewards!

I give up. Is this really for casual players ? To spend all free day on trying to beat up 1 guy in a mini game ? kitten …

Yes it is. Its very fun.

Especially with lags that started like a week ago… it’s a nightmare using those skills I die 100 times per hour and run naked becouse of the skills missing the point or just hit some invisible walls idk sometimes my character just appears 3 times in mid air in different place and than it’s dead on the ground so yes… reeeeeeeal fun.

A few days ago I started to have lags while fighting bosses (funny thing this not occur fractals, but normal dungeons) but I’m farming Arah, and as for now it’s unplayable while Lupicus the lags are getting so hard the game freezes for 3 seconds – causing insta death.

This is not an FPS issue becouse my FPS is 90+ while lupicus fight.

This is so annoying that I just wait for any other game to be released and go for it! Every pach a PRAY not to have lags like this but every n-th pach same thing happens over and over and over… forcing me not to play dungeons becouse of it (yes I reinstalled the newest graphic drivers).

First give each player in the group a number, 1 to 5. Then do the following extremely complicated algorithm to calculate boss aggro:

Aggro = Random(5).

That is it.

Tell that to Lupicus focusing one preson so hard until it dies.

It’s silly to expect a game that’s focused on PvP, …

Since when are dungeons considered PvP? The thread is about dungeons, or PvE, not PvP!

Just look how many things are done in PvP/WvW and how little is done to dungeons from the release… even the dungeon team has been disbanded – becouse obviously dungeons are the lowest priority possible. AC changes and minor CoF changes from the release aaaaaaaand thats it.

Sad to say but I’m waiting for other games Wildstar or FFXIV:ARR or something new (for now I’m stuck to GW2 – there is no good game out there and I deffinititely won’t go back to WoW) to give me as a player some better fun from dungeons that it is in GW2.

As for thief in dungeons. I played a Warrior, Guardian, Mesmer, Engi and Necro but the Thief is the most mobile character there is, it has so many evade and dodge mechanics in some fight the thief is immortal if player properly.

tl;dr Living Story > sPvP=WvW > some-other-very-important-things > dungeons.

Before starting another post about how weak the thief is in pve and how fast he dies in PvE dungeon envoirment in a hands of a player that can’t play properly a thief but goes full zerker 25-30-x-x-x traits – better watch 100 YT movies what w skilled thief can really do, and put some time in researching dungeon mechanics and build types on different forums, else just give up playing as a thief and go play as warrior or guardian.

Please FIX the dungeon Boss Encounters.

I’ve not done this boss after the change. Is there a clear indication that he’s going to summon the spiders?

The shaking animation.

After it green bubbles go down where player stand (quite fast) just dodge them and the spiders won’t spawn.

Awesome in PvE, terrible in dungeons.

When I started playing GW i was in love with conditions but after I understaned how the game works… there is no place for full conditioners (hybrids are better).

In the current PvE model (dungeons did not change from the relese) pure Damage >>> pure Conditions.

Why conditions are not too good ?

1. Many “dead” objects like gates, burrows etc.
those need to be taken asap, but the only stat for dealing more damage is raw power

2. 25 stack limit per mob.
what this means if someone take 4, other one 3, another one 5, you have only 13 slots left for your bleeds… the rest is taken by othem members who doesn’t need to have condition damage gear so their conditions do 30% of your damage wich quite sux

3. Many bosses have their conditions remove really fast and very often.
Lupicus resets his condies very often, CoF p3 last boss also reset all his conditions and by that you cannot stack them = you don’t do damage…

4. Condies need time to do sustain damage and lack burst.
burst damage is as far the most important thing to take down your enemy fast, the faster you get it down the less damage it does to you and your team

so until the pve model starts to favorize conditions more thery are more or less usless…

I join the Order to help fight the dragons insteed I fight everyting but not dragons, I event forgot about them and than BUM dragon bash…

“Bash the dragon” what dragon ? I fought agains the motlen alliance, karkas, pirates but no dragons (since Zaithan last year). It’s as the land of Tyria is living completly ignoring the dragons bcouse they have “bigger” problems ?

In the case of CoF, it’s all about how good of a Thief you are. I’m not gonna lie it’s hard to get into the 4x War 1x Mes group but if you do get in one and show your best people start asking you to come in their group.

If anyone joins a self-pr0-claimed-elitist-farming-party even being a warrior You will get kicked becouse the leader of this party could not like you being an asura…

So CoF is the only dungeon you might watch for. As for the rest it really depends on the party. Sometimes it’s better to get kicked and land in a nwe party than play with morons who will tell you that everything you do is worng, you traits are worng, gear, weapon, class, race, proffesions, dye color, food… so don’t care much about them.

They are in every mmo like kittenroaches.

2 day ago I did FoTM 18 with.. 3x Thief 2x Ele…

I said to myself “wow… this will be fun” the peaple ine the party where not QQing about “omg no guardian”, “omg no heavy” and so… there where all very optimistic about the run no one complained.

That was one of my fastest fractals in my whole 500 fractal runs, in dredge we opened the mechanism so fast that one of the eles didn’t even notice it. It’s a shame I did not record the facrtal run it was so fast…

It’s not about are You a thief or ranger or anything if You cannot play your class properly even as a guardian or warrior you will suck. And most of the thiefs suck becouse they need to lern how to play.

Same goes for Arah runs, some peaple just hate thiefs becouse they mostly get 1 shotted on Arah they met some that cannot play their class and thats how they build their opinion about thiefs.

I recorded this yesterday in a pug group (It was hard to record and play, the game was not very fluid and the actions like dodge or pressing a skill had a little more delay) I know I failed more than I wanted to, but it made me happy to play as a thief.

Please FIX the dungeon Boss Encounters.

Hmmm… last time I did F/U some guy told us how to avoid “summoning spiders” after 3rd wipe the party learned when to do the “dodge” and no additional spider spawn, it was so easy than it hurts. Dunno if it changed since than.

Just wondering if S/P for PvE is good for levelling a thief, and also is it still viable at 80 for PvE? if so what do these builds tend to look like i kinda don’t know what to trait for them.

I run a S/P + Shortbow Thief mainly for PvE/Fractals/Dungeons and I really love those weapons more than daggers (I use dagger in OH on the dredge boss with many adds to steal his boons).

I really like the extra HP (it helps with dealing with some perma-conditions fights) I’m also not yes so confident about playing a squishy thief so I add some Toughness and Vitality.

I also often change the 20 trait in Critical Strikes for something else like 10% pistol damage if fighting dredge last fractal boss or smoke screen on downed if a hard projectile fight it depends. The Utility also is getting changed I only use shadow refuge it’s a mandatory skill the rest is changed depending on fight.

Yet I did only fractals from 10-18 range but that will soon change becouse I focused now on the thief the mobility is amazing.

Here is an example how I play my thief (be advised that I still have a lot to lern) I find the class really fun to play and as soon as I get more skill I’ll trait and gear more offensively, as for now it’s ok.

I would like to know if anyone has experince with this kind of playstyle.
Is it possible to refill your LF Pool during 10 sec of DS cooldown ?
Life Blast is almost at 100% crit and gives might—-> Is the Dmg good ? or still to low because of downtime when not in DS and the slow castspeed of LifeBlast.
Would you recomend changes in the Trait lines ?

I play similar build from the begining of the game becouse I like high numbers. I’ve started the fractals with this build and I loved it. Before the pach 5 days ago the “rotation” or “skill priory” (or what’s it called) was different. The build itself changed a lot it became more… mid range, but more aoe and an incredible aoe burst.

I use Axe/Dagger and Focus. I take staff only for Maw’s tantacles becouse 600 range is not too good there. Also I change traits so marks do more damage and gain life force so I can play more in DS.

With focus both handed I stack precision, with food I have a nice 51% (You can buy the 80 prec, 8% crit dmg wich is cheaper na You will have 50% no problem) but when with 1-2 warriors in a party I rather take 100 power 10% crit damage food for the exra power. For dredge/shaman/svanit fractals I take +10% more damage consumable.

It was possible to refill half of DS life force (when my DS was on 5s cooldown traited) – before the pach under 50% life force your DS attack drasticly failed, also there is a minor trait that You have extra 5% dmg when Life Force is 50%+ so You shoot until LF pool was nearly 50%, got out Axe 2 or dagger auto attack, if focus 4 bounces all 5 times you get a high amount of LF also Spectral Gasp on champions for soft cc with chill and more Life Force (You also gain LF from nerby deaths so on dredge You can keep it up every 7 or 10 seconds if the die nicely).

Life Blast with food itself is at 100% and it hits like a truck – it strongly depens on your team voulnerability conditioning warriors or grenade engi are perfect for this, also it depends on your might stacks – but without “perfect” conditions I hit for 5k-6k fom DS 1 (with stron might voulner team even 10k), and on spamming 1 when I don’t get damage I can even have up to 10 might stacs from Reaper’s Might only, alo every hit pierces and gives 2 stacks of voulnerability so yeah

I change traits and utility often depending on the fight. On harpy for example I go with Near to Death (so I can go in DS every 7 seconds) and Foot In The Grave (so after going in DS I get 5 seconds of stability with those I don’t fall off becouse of the knockback as much as before the pach. In more AoE like fights (dredge or so) I take -15% cooldown on DS skills so I can AoE more with 4,5 + piercing shoots, the -15% cooldown is also great underwater fights for spamming DS 2 (AOE BLIND YEAH).
On grawl shaman I take my racial Charr hidden pistol for that extra evade becouse we don’t have vigor it’s short on cooldown and can save You from that kitten arrow or when you lack dodge.

But the best change is when You put down Well of Suffering and go quickly DS for 100% crit chance, so that every well aoe hit is a crit it hits like 2200+ 7x = ~ 15k + DS 4 6-9k and DS 5 that “hit” at end of the 3rd torment does also 2.1k+

For single targets I like the lich form, You also have over 100% crit chance and do like 5-7k+ auto attack “1” for 30 secodnds wich is nice the attack also pierces all targets in it’s way!

So I find the biuld fun to play, I really like it

Small comment why not curses. Well that kitten minor pasive has a chance to bleed while crit I don’t like this becouse in a power base gear my bleeds do even 60% less damage than full condi gear. There are also only 25 slots so I would take some of it while some other necro or condi thief could benefit much more from any extra bleed slot.

Also with my full zerker armor any healing is nice and I don’t benefit from condi damage at all in Curses. Regen while under 90% hp every 30 sec and siphon health on crits can counter some small conditions on us. Also any extra vitality boosts our Life Force amount so I find that more usefull.

Whilst I dislike cof, and think his post is pretty funny.. There’s one thing I can relate to with this guy. Once you’ve gone through hundreds, sometimes thousands of pugs, and time after time you see the same stupid kitten, bad builds, poor gear sets, doing stupid crap in the dungeon and wasting your time… You start to get really kitten ed off.

This is why you don’t PUG.

Indeed if you’re doing PUGs always preapere for the worst scenario why ? 2 reasons.

1. If the pug goes really bad you’ll just say “k, it’s a pug I knew this could happen”
2. If it goes good (or very good) you’ll just be happy.

The issue are not the classes rather the dungeon design, this is where it all begins.

After some smart players notice that the best way to beat pve dungeons designed right after release or last year (fractals) is to go full offensive with gear, traits, boons and just nuke the hell of everything in melee they started doing it becouse it was profitable (also you need some skill, and dungeon mechanic knowledge!).

See that peaple are doing dungeons only for the marks and nothing more, becouse there are no other rewards all world loot is pure rng.

So… the players adapt, saw where is the profit and became “cof farmers”. Some of the peaple just want a full profit run with a party specificly builded, some are also morons who thinks of themselfs as kings of pve becouse they can do cof 50% faster than any commoner they find us “noobs” (they don’t even know what a noob is but all the community abuse this word wide over), but those happen in every single MMO there is on the market, it’s not something You can “cure” like a “disease” of sort. Behind every character sits a real player, some of them are more mature, some are just jerks – deal with it.

Just ignore them and play your own game. IGNORE, they are no thread to anyone, let them exist in their own world of cof p1 and let them think of themselves as gods of this game… let them play the way they want, and new players if have brain will also see that these are the kind of players they should avoid at any cost.

Being good and skilled is one thing, being good, skilled and kittened is the other, and it’s uncureable in both worlds.

The hope comes as new dungeons appear… (dunno why on limited time, it’s supid…) and the new bosses mechanics don’t favorise stand’n’nuke fighting style. Condition builds are being rise from the grave! The new Aether dungeon somehow favors condition damage – golems and their shield for example you know what happens when You melee them right ? – or last boss fo wich You don’t even have to go full zerker to complete. See how the dungeons are evolving and maybe in the future they will rebuild the “old” dungeons types that favorise only 2-3 proffesions and boring cookie cutter build schematics.

Let the game evolve and maybe we will se something very interesting in the future content.

meleeing golems is asking for death. they have a ridiculously high upkeep of stun aura thanks to the lasers, which will be almost impossible to dodge if you’re busy meleeing.

They only get the aura when the small wall touches them, otherwise thay don’t have it, so it can be melee while kited (sorry for 100b warrior can’t use GS “2” skill and move, the Guardian’s GS all can be done while moving – small stop for the symbol).

Also if You walk close to the inner part the You can melee more becouse You move quite fast, the more outside You are the more distance you have to beat in order to run from the lasers and that’s where melee gets harder.

It only gets complicated in p3 with both walls in p1 and p2 it’s doable.

Hotw Bosses - too much HP?

There were many topics about HoTW bosses having insane HP pools making the fight long and boring as hell… but it was over 6 months ago, and up to this day nothing changed.

I find only the last boss melee unfriendly. With the rest of the dungeon I have no problem (from the guardian pov is easy to write about it becouse of all the available stability skills).

Yet the last boss stacking so many bleed in such short time, and they are long term conditions it’s hard to melee, even with Pure of Voice and Indominable Curage it’s still hard to melee her more than just GS-3-4-2-distance-5-change range… I don’t like spamming shouts and virtues just to do a 20k dmg and use one of the precious cooldown that can be a life saver to a party member or myself, better give her 10 crits with a scepter auto attack for over 2k+ and have those cd for when really needed.

I would like to watch someone skilled melee her just to lern some tricks

Dungeon mechanics were kinda fun, but way too easy. Soloed the dungeon with my guard. To be said it took quite long because it was my first time in there, but still felt bit too easy.

And every new dungeon in Living Story shares the same problem. ITS NOT PERMANENT.

In an interview I read (not so long ago) about the possibility to add those “not permanent dungeons” as fractals – this could be a magnificent idea.

Similar trolling to “Defeat Ulgoth the Modniir and his minions” on Harati not far after release when most peaple where on that lvl, some guys started trolling that when you don’t kill the 2 rock hands they summon an epic boss with exotic loot…

You chould see the peaple’s reaction on /m spammin “do not kill hands, nooobs”, “omg noobs don’t kill hands” it was a plague that time… peaple get trolled so easy.

My stats. 5000 gems, ~3000 coffers (if it possible to count). Realy heavy big bag of gold and real money.
Jade GS, 2 axes, scepter, greatbow, shield, hammer, staff. 8 tickets. Its 8 tickets. And bad taste after getting this tickets. Because its about 200 bucks.

P.S. And yes, i know that no one forced me to spend my money…

There are many YT video/forum guides on Ascalon and other dungeons I strongly suggest You watch them and listen to many “tips” inside it will be helpfull for someone new to the content.
