Gaile can you ask team to look at big FPS drop on mac client too since last month. Sorry off topic but it is problem. There is a thread in this forum about it.

Yeah this is a big problem since about a month. Might have to submit support ticket to see if arena net knows of problem.

I don’t think you will get any compensation. Games have technical problem at times. GW2 has very little compared to many games. You will just have to deal with a few days of no game. Things happen sometimes not like arena net made this problem on purpose.

Like you ride the magic carpet around all over the place? You probably don’t much like most others don’t from what I see. Maybe one person a month I see on carpet mount. So if you want mount buy the carpet and broom and ride ways. Make a statement about how people want to buy and ride mount. Maybe make a video of it. Some players feel data-mined information is a guarantee. They’ve only themselves to blame for any disappointments. /shrug

According to the latest data-mining, it seems we will have 4 maps included with Heart of Thorns (possibly/probably? at release), at least. Whether there are more at release, or not, is speculation. Whether more maps will be released with further updates, again, is unknown..

Arena net will not transfer one account to different account. You do not have to uninstall game though if you make new account because you can log in with new account on same client. Your new account will have email and password and you can use the client you already have to login with it. many people have more than 1 account and do it that way.

You can also still use old account if you want. No reason to ask arena net to close it. You can send items that are not account bound or soul bound and gold in mail from old account to new one.

Also arena net do not post here much when people ask. That is what support is for. you should talk to support about your questions for more information.

How many player use magic carpet in game? Almost no one. I see maybe one player a month use it. So I guess you say no one will use mounts to. So no reason for mount because no player really use the ones already there. See if almost everyone uses magic carpet there might be some problem with FPS. You think if you win argument about mount arena net will add them. But you only win argument in your own mind.

Keep wasting your time like everyone else that argue about for or against mounts. This thread started 2 years ago and no mounts with expansion. Maybe next expansion in 3 years there will be mounts.

You should wait for maybe new legendary. Twilight and sunrise are the two most used legedary in game. Everyone that can use great sword seem to have one.

Then you can have more sleep not worry about it.

Like I said before in this thread. Arguing for or not for mounts is a waste of time because arena net already knows about mounts. I talked about abilty to turn mounts off because when other people mention FPS problems with mounts people for mounts say it can be turned off. That is why I discuss that option. I see it as a problem to. But this argument will not make arena net add mounts or not. Just a waste of peoples time.

Many players on that mount in a map would maybe cause performance problem because extra graphics. If there is a place to hide all mount in settings then let people ride that mount. Then we don’t see it and it is not a problem for performance. But then maybe people cry about not having other people see their elite mount.

There is mounts in gem store. The broom and the carpet. If you want more mounts then people should buy them more to show arena net they want them. I don’t see many people use broom or carpet though. So maybe people do not really want gem store mounts. Who is to know?

I think it is funny to watch people make arguments about mounts. Mounts are not some new idea. I think arena net already know about the idea of mounts. If they want to add them at some time they will if they don’t want to have them they will not. All this argument seems like a waste of time to me. Some people just want to think they win the argument though I guess.

Using myself as an example, I easily qualify as a vet. Since beta. Loads of hours. Gobs of achieve points. I’m highly verbal, but I’m not particularly analytical and when I give feedback it’s going to be more about how I feel. I feel the Revenant was better this time. I feel like the Shiro set of skills was useful and I would use them. I feel like there were too many hard mobs in the new maps. Is this useful for ANet? More useful than a new, but analytical person who can give concise point by point feedback that I never could?

I can’t imagine that separating the player base by hours played is meaningful in terms of quality of feedback unless you are talking about people who are really new to the game, with no level 80s and playing a level 80 area for the first time.

I agree, you are a good example of a vet. I cant remember ever talking to you in game and I just know you from the forums but I have known you for a long time. Just because of your posting history I respect you as a veteran player and value your opinion more than someone else´s whose name I just read for the first time on the forums.

That persons post history is only 5 months. If that is how you mean by knowing some person a long time then there are a lot of veterans.

Married players should have to share 1 half of all loot and gold. If then players get a divorce they have -15% to everything for 1 year or have to pay 1000 gold to remove -15%.

You can not upgrade to the ultimate version from deluxe or standard. You can only upgrade from standard to deluxe. It says this on the support page about HoT.

“Note that the Ultimate edition is only available for purchase in-game and via buy.guildwars2.com. Additionally, there won’t be an option to upgrade to the Ultimate edition later if you decide to purchase the Standard or Deluxe edition.”

I would think mounts might cause some performance problem. If I recall GW2 even limit the number of minis that can be on a map at the same time for that reason? Imagine 30 or 50 or 100 people riding around on mounts. I can see it causing big hits to FPS for most players. As other have said I do not think GW2 need mounts. I don’t see much of a benefit for it.

Something bad recently seems to happen with Mac client and FPS. In slow areas where I usually get 30-40 FPS on mix of medium and some high settings I now get best 20-25 FPS on lowest settings. I don’t know what has changed with client but it has happen over the last month or so.

You don’t keep any items, currency, achievements, or any other rewards earned playing a beta character. All stuffs will be gone after beta.

You can transfer for free by deleting all your characters. You should put all the stuffs you want to keep in your bank first. Also you can still play with friends because of the mega server. Only for WvW do you need to be on the same server. Well you need to be in the same region too NA or EU server to play with friends.

Yeah, something really bad has happened with the Mac client. I used to get 30-40 FPS in most areas aside from really high traffic areas like world bosses with a mix of medium and high settings. Now even with everything set to lowest I stay around 20 FPS in areas with no one around and single digits in crowded areas. Something has gone really really wrong.

Download doesn’t start over when you stop the process. It will start back where you left off. So no progress will be lost.

You are not forced to run full DPZzz as you call it. Start your own group or play with like minded players and you can run whatever bbbbuuuiillldddzzzz you want.
