Anet do not even really support the Mac beta client (just cider wrapper) for 3 year. It worse now than ever with no news on fix. Just after about a year or more with no response from Anet yesterday someone red post say generic they know about problem and wait for fix. They say that for 3 year now. So I would not hope for a Linux client any time soon.

List of restriction. Chat restriction always on for free account no matter level. I do not know what mean by common. I do not try the free to play.

I do not think is a way to solve it that I hear of. Probably only support can help. You might read some post in account support forum and see if other same problem and some idea. I do not know.

Do you have prof they did get transfer? All you say is someone ask them if they got email from support. They may get same answer as you.

Anet do not transfer people to full server by request. Have to wait for open space like all other people try to get to that server. That just the way it work for everyone.

If you already have core game you are just buying expansion. You do not get another core game. Core game free for new player. Old topic. You either buy expansion now for full cost like all other veteran player or wait for sale some time from now.

Also if you did buy core game 6 month ago anet did offer core game refund for people that buy core game between certain date and buy HoT. If you follow HoT like you say might know this. Too late for this offer though.

If you buy a key from dealer not authorize by Anet and key is stolen or buy with stolen credit card you may have big problem. I see a few people on account forum this happen to and account get banned.

Even has CD. Some think it would only have code inside. Player that collect this will be happy.

Anet do not restore deleted character. If you have some thing valuable like gem store item or legendary on character delete anet might get that back for you if you make support ticket but not character.

You will get all item listed on the sale page here, buy.guildwars2.com. Will not get free veteran character slot though was only for pre-purchase. Will get 1 character slot that deluxe has though. If you want wait you can buy standard and upgrade later in gem store to deluxe. Can not upgrade to ultimate though.

You can not mail one you have. They account bound when receive. You can send as gift through gem store though.

Thank you for post at this busy time. I will try to be nice but we hear this for 3 year now and client get worse not better. Strange client work not too bad for some time on Mac but terrible last year with big FPS drop and more crash. It work good when I play on same computer bootcamp windows if both client share same problem that strange. Maybe what is small problem on windows turn into big problem on Mac beta cider port I do not know. I do hope Anet is really work on Mac client because it seem there are some big problem with client that do not show on windows.

Also I know probably not you job but I think it fair if anet make honest statement when thing slow down after HoT release. With this explain more detail about Mac beta client, known problem with Mac client, what anet work on with Mac client and plan for future with Mac client even if say no plan for final Mac client. Mac customer would like to hear some thing honest like that. It has been 3 year now I think time for honest update.

Will have to wait for it to release first. My guess some people will have review online some time late tomorrow. Some one alway want to be first even if they do not play most content yet.

I suggest in this order change password for account. Scan computer for virus and key log. Contact support, link top of page and tell what happen. Change email for account when talk to support. Should probably change password for emails and other important account after virus scan to be safe.

More easy to set alarm on phone get up click button on computer and go back to sleep instead of do all that.

HoT release as post by me and other with link is 1201 AM PST. I will get up about 2 or 3 AM PST to click the launch button and go back to bed. This way I hope many of the new build and extra fix patch already done

My point is release at time when not many play so bug affect less people and they can fix over night with less player affected by bug and possible time down. Then when busy time for EU/NA maybe less bug and new build to do and affect less people so less complaint.

Sorry Anet did not call you to ask what time you want for launch.

No matter what time they release it will not be a good time for some player in world. Should be glad arena net will probably be up all night their time work on patch after release. Think of how they feel be up all night so you get less bug when you get home from work to play.

They have had part of HoT in patches we already get. Will get the rest when it release at 1201 AM PST.

I support this thread… Mac client’s a joke. ANET please have a working Mac client like Blizzard did for their titles… and not a port that constantly crashing.

Honest I do not think will be native client at all or any time near. Cost a lot of money and resource to do this for small amount of customer. Blizzard have a lot more money to do thing like this. They should try to do some thing to make cider wrap work better like it did before last year when problem get worse. Like I say Nvidia own the company that make it so might be a big problem of some kind. If they can not improve should just be honest about this and close it down instead of continue to sell to new Mac customer.

That would be irresponsible for a game developer who had more than 3 years to come up with a solution, I don’t care if it’s a port ran by a hamster, as long as it works. I agree they should fix. I say this many time over many thread on topic and also support arena net with many gem purchase. I agree rude and anet should have shame for way they treat Mac customer I say this many time in many thread to. I just mean if they not going to fix or do not know how to fix then they should tell that and be honest and stop sell to Mac customer a broke client. I do wonder how many new Mac customer buy and then get refund because broke or just give up and feel rip off. I agree arena net need to say something honest about this Mac beta client. I was under the impression that if you bought it through GW it was account bound, so not sure if that would work anymore.

Only if you buy in game black lion store it automatic update you account. If you buy from buy.guildwars2.com you get email with code and instruction you can send to friend. Just do not use code or register let friend do this.

It often go down with server error or load very very slow for me to on some patch day because so many people run to forum to post or read. I have 50Mbps connection. I see many people with this problem make accident double post and thing because so slow or error. With HoT and Halloween on same day forum will have many many people try to post and read same time when patch go.

Would it not be simpler to run windows 10 in parallel? Then just boot up to your windows 10 to play the game. Have never used a Mac for gaming, but with the size of windows 10 now seems a good fix for the crashing issue.

Better to use bootcamp and run windows if have a copy of windows to use. That is problem for some people if they do not have copy of windows have to buy it. Also some people do not like to put windows on Mac for risk of extra problem or may not have enough drive space for partition. I use bootcamp windows 7 and it run much better and I only use to play GW2.

But big problem really is how bad arena net treat Mac beta client. It get worse and worse and no news of fix or anything. They do not even talk about client any more. On arena net page about Mac client talk about how staff can not wait to play on Mac client and how Mac client will run better with final version. Many promise on old Mac support forum how arena net hire Mac specialist and they all vanish. 3 year later beta client worse than ever.

Some people move to different map by find group on LFG tool that advertise. Join group and then can join that party in their map. You can not select a map just by choice of some kind. Have to either join group in map or log out and back and hope you in a map you want.

Mac beta client actually is now worse than year ago or even 2 year ago. Use to work not to bad. After some patches back in last year it get even worse. I use to have 30-40 FPS medium setting no problem. Then some month ago big loss in FPS even on lowest setting and many graphic error and more crash than ever. Now Nvidia own company TransGaming that make cider wrap and who know what will happen if any thing.

I now use bootcamp windows and it is like new game it work so much better.

Arena net has not said a thing about Mac beta client about this. No surprise because they never talk about Mac beta client. I guess will see when patch start. If there is some kind of thing that launch before patch that say TG Update (that is what we see in past when change to Mac beta client) then maybe they try to fix. Hard to say because like I say arena net never talk about anything with Mac beta client. Also now Nvidia own TransGaming (company that make the cider wrap). Never know what will happen.

I give up on that junk Mac beta client some month ago. It use to work not bad but in last year it get worse and worse and now almost can not play on it. I now use bootcamp window to play. It is like a new different game it work so much better. I only use for GW2 and nothing else.

Probably stay full for very long time if not for ever unless arena net make some big change. Server population now base on who play WvW. Blackgate is a top server in WvW so will probably stay full. You can still play with friend but just not WvW.
