Once buy HoT can not upgrade to Ultimate. Have to buy Ultimate from start to get rewards from it. Can upgrade to Deluxe though.

Ultimate only for sale online and not box edition of it. If you want a box to put on shelf to you have to buy regular one from store that sell it. Seem kind of expensive to me to do this just to have a box but if that is what you want only way to get it. Even box version from store only have a code inside from what I understand and not CD.

Forum would explode with mad if they make HoT release later than they say. This way if HoT release go bad Halloween is good distract from it. Good plan from arena net. But if both HoT and Halloween broke I do not want to read this forum.

Forum is broken. Can not even make search work. Arena net say company that make forum no longer work with. I do not think app will be made because of this. Maybe if arena net make new forum some day.

You will not very often get a dev response in a thread. This is how arena net work on forum. We can only post in thread and guess why.

Yes it make sense. If many thing HoT release is broke arena net can say we have Halloween to play why they fix. Gaile Gray now make 2 thread about Halloween. It seem they want to make player have attention to it instead of HoT. I like arena net and GW2 but I honest believe that they are not real ready for promise HoT release after what I see in beta. Did you buy riding broom and carpet then? Those cosmetic mount. If arena net will sell more cosmetic mount people need to buy one already there to show they want. I almost do not see ever people use the cosmetic mount arena net already sell. Maybe demand is not as much as people think.

Mhmmm…it’s not like Anet cannot take back the items if the sale was counterfeit. Furthermore, if the sale was counterfeit they are going to remove HoT from my account and ban me! So, what’s the difference in letting me have my gems to purchase the items. Makes no logical sense at all.

Of course it makes sense. Imagine you’re a fraudster. You “buy” the Ultimate Edition using a stolen CC. You get the gems, buy items, sell them to innocent players to “wash” the gold, use the gold to acquire other items at which time the stolen CC is identified and the account is banned. You don’t care, because you’ve lost nothing and in fact have profited from the illicent activities. We can’t simply “take back” the gems because they’ve been used to acquire items that then go to innocent players. And those people are unwittingly impacted by scurulous behavior on the part of the fraudsters.

I got hit with this, sold a skin to someone who apparently used gold farmers, his account was banned and the gold he had sent me for the skin was stripped from me. Bye bye 200g.

If you use TP as it mean to be and not player to player sell which arena net do not support you would not have that problem. This is reason for TP safe trading. I guess you learn lesson hard way.

This is ridiculous and I don’t see how this thread was ever intended to be constructive, but I have a question. What is the definition of this ‘toxicity’ I keep hearing about? I’ve played since launch in every game mode (mostly Dungeon Speedclears and PvP), somewhat intensely, and have never ran into anything I’d consider ‘toxic’. Is this all sheer hyperbole? Seems more like someone got called a “doodyhead” two years ago and has stewed about it since.

Some toxic chat definition:

Player get stomp for other in PvP. “Kitten you l2p. You are such a weak kitten. I hope you die and you mom too.”

I type kitten on purpose. I hope this clear it up for you what can be toxic chat. These examples some of thing I see in chat in past. Maybe not exact but close.

It do not seem like hyperbole as you say when so many people talk about this.

Maybe wait for precursor craft system in HoT. Maybe you will want new legendary with that. Also buy for gold always better than mystic forge for guarantee result. I see people often say spend thousand of gold on mystic forge and no precursor and other say spend few hundred and get. It is RNG and chance is you will lose more than win. Buy for gold is guarantee you get what want with no anxiety of lose a lot of gold for nothing. When you buy precursor on TP you buy some other person luck that had luck from drop or mystic forge. The many people with no luck from forge that spend thousand of gold have no thing to sell but sadness. And you can buy much sadness if you pay gem for black lion key and open chest.

PvP easy the worst. If you win many time get some toxic chat and yell about cheese build or lucky or some thing like that. If you lose many time get some toxic chat and yell l2p noob. Almost any thing you do in PvP good or bad will see some toxic player often.

Most ticket I make less than a day for response. It depend on problem or how busy support is but should be less than 72 hour. If no response after that post in sticky thread about with thicket number.

I think all infinite axe work the same so it just depend on which one you like look the most.

If you buy from web store now you get email with serial code to apply to your account.

This game does not have subscription so I do not think arena net could offer some premium subscription or subscription to return player. To answer question nothing like that with GW2. You just get to play again and not lose any progress from when you stop playing before.

They send character slot out one time a week. I think on Friday. So you should have it by Friday.

OP does not need apply key again since said they made beta Revenant then OP already has HoT and key applied.

Can not use normal character slot to create Revenant yet. You can only make Revenant in beta during beta event. Will get full HoT access when it release on 23rd.

You could try re creating the old character name. I know the soulbound items indicate who they are soulbound to. Highly doubt this will work but if you have an extra slot it would only take 1 min to test.

Does not work. I try it one time. Once delete character all item soul bound in bank lost forever. Can only delete them.

Arena net will not restore character when someone or someone friend in house delete it. They only do restore if account get hacked and that is full account roll back. But you did not get hacked so you are out of luck with that. The armor skin should still be in you wardrobe if you use it on that character like you say.

Should maybe be more careful what kind of “friend” you keep in you house when you sleep.

Yes indeed is economics Arnea net is not charity. Server not free, all pay for employee not free, bandwidth for game not free (that is huge cost alone). Point of company is to make money. As much money as can because people that invest count on that. If you do not like then do not play game. Vote by not play or not buy gem but I do doubt you will stop playing. Just complain about what you do not get for free. Do you complain about how Google and other website harvest and sell all personal info from you they can when you use? No. Sorry but if you want to play GW2 you can free all time after buy but some people have to buy gem for BLC and other gem store things to keep you in game. Yes because it does not have to do with player farm same low level thing over and over as many time as want for reward. Arena net and many MMO has history of nerf farm low level thing for reward. Should not be surprise. I am surprise they let it go on this long.

Congrats, I surprised they refunded you after what customer support told me.

Support some time it seem what GM you get. I had problem one time that GM would not fix after many email but other on forum got fix for. I then send link showing on forum about that and got fix from different GM. I do wish support was some times more consistent. I imagine there are many support GM though and not all think same way.

Last time arena net announce get ready for event it did not work very well. I hope this is different.
