For all of you whinging about this happening on Reddit: an AMA (Ask Me Anything) is a specific Reddit thing (https://www.reddit.com/r/iama) so of course it makes sense to do so on Reddit. This sort of thing would be very difficult to try to carry out and read on traditional forums due to the format. The Reddit format makes it incredibly easier to identify questions and then have the answers to each question be attached to said question instead of randomly on page 24 of a 49-page thread in the forums. It’s far, far more organised and keeps the different topics of questions clearly separate. So really, just quit with the indignation that (shock! horror!) a Reddit thing was carried out on Reddit.

I find this forums format easier. Each red post has up and down arrows on it to go to the next red post in sequence, which makes it easy to quickly go to each one and read it. In addition, dev posts on that forum can be hidden by downvotes and just by the way that forum is set up. Whole comment strings can be closed and if you don’t open up each one, it’s easy to miss a dev post.

There is also no reason why a “reddit thing” such as an Ask Me Anything can’t be an “official forum thing.” If the Devs find the formatting on their own official forum so unappealing, whose fault is that? If that’s their problem then maybe they should shake lose the money for a new forum format.

One last point, none of the things the Devs said are on our forums Dev tracker which makes it difficult to reference and use for discussions on the official forum.

Not always able to do that with black lion NPC. People complain and so Anet make tool in gem store account bound and make price 1000 gem. When they do this they also let player trade already own soul bound version for account bound with NPC. Also then if had duplicate they give gem refund if delete duplicate after talk to support and ask. Not sure if still do this now. That was long time ago.

Yes go to Black Lion Weapons Specialist. Have in inventory and you can change from soul bound to account bound.

Yeah I’m guessing you’re right even though it makes no sense. I mean I understand it looks like a gift card but it’s not really. So basically the smart thing to do is to always buy the physical cards vs online which seems backwards but oh well. And to be clear not blaming anet for this or anything. Well maybe not. Depend on if you think cost of travel to store to get the card. Unless you walk or ride bicycle you maybe spend same amount as tax on gas, train or bus.

In new maps where you learn the mastery line, nights are really dark until you get the mastery line. After that mobs start showing up in the infrared. Further mastery progression gives you the ability to see plants at night as a light green glow and harvestable nodes as brighter green for plants and dull red for metals. Maybe the next mastery line progression shows you mobs that have the ability to become invisible day or night.

Maybe the vendors can sell torches you can carry to light the area around you at night. Torches that you can drop when you need to fight and pick up again.

Then it turn in to many people ask for thing like gift HoT, precursor, other very expensive thing. We know Anet don’t sell the original editions any more, only HoT, but I don’t know if that means registering an account using a key from an old standard or Heroic edition will give you access to the expansion, or if you would still only get the base game.

I don’t spend a ton of time of the forums, no. I only wanted to make this post thanks to a buildup of 3+ years of dealing with ingame kitten. I wanted both ArenaNet and the community to take notice of it, and I wanted us all to discuss ways in which we could improve support, or “help out” Anet, or maybe if they have any ideas themselves. Clearly most seem to think support is sufficient enough as it is, and that’s great, for you guys. I’m merely being the voice for, I guess, a minority who feels more could be done.

And if Anet really don’t like this kind of post on here, I hope they’ll get in contact after they take it down, so we can talk privately about my ingame support problems.

There exist already a way for you to do this you self. It is call block. You block person who say thing you do not like and you can not see message from them entire account.

Problem with this I think is it take some kind of proof like code to show who get person to buy game or HoT. Then with this people probably spam in place like map chat look for group and forum. Guild spam in chat bad enough. I think I agree with other person. Reward of get friend to buy game or HoT is have that friend to play game with.
