Wait to have fun is not fun. Play taxi game not fun. I think GW2 was against idea of wait for fun. I do a lot of wait in HoT to try to have fun and most time not fun but big fail. Wait for meta event wait for people to do some hero point a lot of wait.

I never did understand the concept of watching people that I don’t even know play a video game, guess that I’m the minority nowadays.
Do not watch this also. When I do PvP do not want to watch other player PvP. Very boring. I like play a game not watch some other person play it.
Just look at twitch stream only 2,780 watch when I look. That not very many for all GW2 player. But I guess some people do like.

I should not post that because people derail the thread topic me to because I post that. Thread topic is will you prepurchase next expansion. Many other thread for people to argue about if like current expansion or not. So please do not derail any more.
That post comes as a reply in a discussion where someone else talks about how casuals dislike the game.
IIRC Vayne has said mutiple times that we should wait at least 6 months for evidence.
Still wait for Vayne’s source that, “there are a lot of people, even casuals, who like the new content.” See how this work? I will wait for source.

While I appreciate your opinions boot camp isn’t a “Mac client” which ANet markets as “Mac supported”, for now this is the closest thing to a working Mac client – I.e. Running the game while still using my Mac without reboot.
My “personal choice” would be to use the Mac client as it’s supposed to be which unfortunately doesn’t work without crashing, this choice was forced upon me.
Parallels is also not run Mac client. Just run GW2 Windows client under Window in VM. Still need Windows and install to run but with extra computer resource because run Mac OS and Windows same time and also cost to buy Parallels. Will never get same performance as if bootcamp Windows. Just better if going to run Windows to do bootcamp even if have to reboot to go between Mac and Windows.
So for Parallels have to buy and also buy Windows if do not own. Bootcamp free and only have to by Windows if do not own. Sorry but better solution is Bootcamp. I do not know about you Mac but it only take me maybe 20 seconds to reboot mine. I do not mind this because I do not want anything Windows relate on same partition as my Mac OS.
Yes Anet still need to work on Mac client. At least they did make update to Mac client last patch. Let us hope for more.

I agree with FlamingFoxx. If going to install Windows to run game should just do bootcamp. Yes have to reboot to run but will run much better than Parallels because with Parallels run Mac and Window at same time and use more resource. Better off just bootcamp. Do not take that long to restart computer. I do bootcamp for months now only for GW2 and it run great. Bootcamp free with Mac Parallels not. Also no way for Anet to know who use Mac client Parallels to give gem and who do not. Many could say I do this Parallels give me gem. Even people never use Mac client.

GW2 did make change way HoT map work PvE. Now most group content instead of explore for fun and join group event when want. Many people say give more difficult content and I guess Anet try to do that with HoT. But HoT map not really difficult but maybe some hero point. Mostly HoT map just annoy to explore because make it giant jump puzzle with trash mob all over. I do not find this kind of challenge fun just boring always have to fight every place explore with no break to enjoy map. So I just go back to core map like before expansion. I will not buy next expansion until I see reviews first. Never prepurchae again. I have fear for living story return because will probably all be in HoT map. I will have to skip that also because I do not play to be annoy every where I go in map.

Players are funneled through hazardous choke points that are guarded by a dense population of enemies. Running through them is a risk many take, only to find themselves dead and asked to spawn back at a Waypoint. Patience or power through numbers is a must.
Good thing I still have some fun in most core part of game.

I think in general we don’t tend to drop the beta tag until we’re completely satisfied with how it runs. That just hasn’t happened yet for the Mac client, for multiple reasons. I realize it won’t make much of a difference at this point, but we sincerely do intend to get it from being barely an okay experience to at the very least a good one, with the goal being a great one. As all good things though, it will take time.
I do know if they say on Mac sale page “barely an okay experience” I would not buy it. But sale page say it work well.
I do know I have 3 Mac. All could play game on most medium setting. About half year ago some thing happen to client. Big FPS drop and many graphic error that never happen before even when change to every setting lowest. This same time many other Mac customer post about about new problem.
Edit: I just see in last patch note Anet make fix for Mac client. Will see how work. But to people say not problem with Mac client it do show is because Anet try to make fix.

Yes so … my point is that if it’s not working for a fraction of Mac users (just like only a fraction of PC users were crashing until 64 bit release), then is it really the product that’s broken or the platform it’s being used on? Is the blame REALLY with Anet here? Obviously they want it to work on all machines, so it’s a little ridiculous to blame Anet.
You do not follow history of Mac beta client and how client now worse than ever even when Anet say it work on HoT sale page. How Anet many times promise new Mac specialist that disappear. How many time they say will fix and nothing happen. Will not argue with you about this because you do not know history. Probably did not even read all that thread or any of it.
I will post this screen capture as only response because what many Mac customer see it is not true. We do not know how many Mac customer never post on forum and just give up on broke client.

If Anet put as much effort into fixing up and polishing the SAB as they did merging these threads all the time, it would be ready to re-open by now.
I do not think forum moderator work on game program. Just clean forum when need. Maybe you should ask person that clean Anet office also stop and work on SAB.

KK I went to g2a to buy the simple version but still they on’t accept PSC. I think no-one accepts PSC anymore
I would not buy at g2a. Many complaint here about bad key and account suspend or ban. You can find GW2 authorize seller on this page.
