People post this a few time. I hope it was show that decide to put there and not Anet pay for it. I saw show only there few second and hard to tell what is unless already know GW2. Would be much different if Sheldon play GW2 on show.
It’s highly possible it just happened to be what they used on the set but I also have no doubt it is an paid advertisement. I found another thread of the comic book shop with a Rytlock figurine.
This was my second time watching the episode and I did not see it at all the first time.
And that is my point. You even know GW2 and did not even see first time. Some person that do not know GW2 graphic it just look like some thing in background for very short time with no meaning. How can someone know it is game might want to buy? Same with Rytlock statue. If person do not really know GW and Rytlock just look like a statue in background. If Anet pay for it I hope not much.

Maybe if Colin or MO gets a 4K display …
On Mac page president of Anet is always with Mac and we see how good that work for Mac client so maybe not so good for 4k also.
On top of it all, ArenaNet staffers are big fans of Macs. We offer them as part of our employee laptop subsidy program, and our president Mike O’Brien is rarely seen without his Mac laptop. We’re as excited as anyone to play Guild Wars 2 on OS X.

Server only really matter for WvW because GW use mega server system for PvE where all player from different server play together. If interest in WvW here is list of WvW server rank but top server will be full and can not join.

You can be in up to 5 guild so you can look around careful to find right guild for you.
All profession good at solo PvE so depend what you find fun. Many people play Warrior or Guardian to start why they learn game because more easy when new to game.

What I don’t understand is why, out of the 50+ servers that they have, they couldn’t spare a single server for open world. 49+ servers to be just like it is now, with 1 “omg everyone is out to get me” server to guest to for open world PvP fun.
It would be like a PvP vacation land.
Mega servers, that’s why. Not to mention the game was made with out open world PvP in mind. If you want open world pvp, we kind of already have that with WvW.
I do not think person you respond to will read you post because it is from 2 year ago. Also no mega server 2 year ago.

The gem store is a website that is rendered by the game (or at least that was how it worked back then), so the reason it didn’t work properly was something they could fix, because it wasn’t actually an issue with cider, it was just the way chromium was working with OSX.
Yes, but it also was something that helped them acquire revenue.
Follow the money trail, ladies and gents…
But it was a issue with cider and why there was TGupdate download when it get fix.

My hopes were ressurected with the announcement of an expansion. i thought "oh well, 3 years is enough time for a company to make a game so they probably tweaked the wrapper at least.
I think part of the problem is that there is very little they can do to tweak the wrapper to make the game run better. Cider was coded by transgaming and then licensed out to other companies. I don’t imagine that the GW2 dev team have an amazing understanding of cider’s coding and it’s probably difficult for them to work out the flaws in someone else’s software. Obviously if you’re going to use something like cider to offer your game to mac players then you really should understand how it works and be able to provide support and fixes. But it seems like they really don’t…
Anet sure work fast and communicate a lot on forum and work with TransGaming when that bug would not let Mac player buy gem or use gem store some time ago. They fix it in about 1 week.
I agree though we do not know what happen with TransGaming since Nvidia buy them.

If was not part of cider why was there “TGupdate” download pop up that download before game patch for fix of gem store problem since that not part of cider port? I remember this problem and when it was fix there was a TGupdate that ran before the client patch. Mac customer can always tell when there is update to cider because TGupdate run first before normal game start patch. Sad this has not happen in a long time.
Still they work on that fast as can and communicate in forum why they fix. They do not communicate good for the rest Mac client since. I do not no why you want to defend anet so much with way they treat Mac customer because what they do is bad, very bad. Even you say this in some other posts. I am confuse because you say Anet is good some time about Mac client then also say bad. Do not know if you agree with Anet or not on how they treat Mac customer. You also ignore my post about the GW2 Mac page where I say they need to remove or change and show about that.
Truth Anet treat Mac customer like trash and do not tell Mac customer honest news about client. They say how they like mac client. They say we have new Mac specialist to help and that person disappear. Anet hide behind this beta tag and do not say what is Mac client and do not communicate with customer honest. Anet should have shame the way they do with Mac client. Can you argue that?
I would make blog about truth for Guild Wars 2 for Mac if my english not so bad. I would make it hope that when person search for GW2 for Mac they see truth first before Anet page of lie about Mac client.

Some other post about this before. I think it cool. But I do not think a few second of game box in back ground make much difference for sales. Most probably do not even see it because they look more at that woman instead.

That is a news announcement article from three years ago. They’re under no obligation to do anything with that or change it. There are plenty of news articles they’ve made that are no longer relevant. Should they retroactively go back and write on all the Living Story Season 1 announcements that ‘this event is no longer playable’? Of course not. It is a dated news article… It is still there as a reference, it’s not something they can be held to.
Not that that excuses their lack of support or acknowledgement of issues. But trying to hold three year old articles against them is ridiculous. That’s like trying to hold the original manifesto against them. Things change.
If you Google Guild Wars 2 for Mac that article first thing you see. Customer that may think about GW2 and google to see if it is for Mac find this article. They see how Anet say how great it is and how Anet staff love to play on Mac and how it work better when final version.
Yes they need to change this page. Or make new article with truth then. It is the only page they have about Mac client so still relevant not like you other example where they post other update about game when thing change. Anet never post any update article about Mac client.
Maybe I should make blog page truth of GW2 for Mac if my english was better.
I use google keyword tool and here is search volume to show and that article is first result for each term. Use September number with lowest guess that is about 150 people day see if GW2 is for Mac. People that search that obvious see if GW2 is for Mac because they think about buying game if it work on Mac. When they do first thing they see is Anet article. So if out of date Anet should remove, make new one about Mac client or update with honest information for Mac customer.

This all I ask. That Anet just be honest about this client. They need to just say what can or can not fix. If this is something they can not do real then need to just say so instead of tease Mac customer for 3 year about how they support. Talk several time about how they have Mac specialist that disappear. Anet also need to update this page with real info to be honest to Mac customer that could buy GW2.

They need to change it say Mac beta client have many problem and will not work so good and if want good use bootcamp. They should just be honest because now they just tell lies on that page and to Mac customer.
I think most Mac customer would be more happy if Anet just be honest and say where they are with Mac client and not generic message we work on it that we hear for 3 year. If they can not fix then they need to say and get over with. As is now they sell broken product to Mac customer. Only time they ever fix a Mac beta problem fast with good communication was that time Mac customer could not buy gem or use gem store and they fix that in a week. Strange.
Maybe Anet should disable gem store for Mac customer so Mac customer can not give them more money for broken client.
