9 accs……. I fail to see any real reason any normal player would need more than 1 account.

There is some person I forget name that brag all time about 30 account. They do for log in reward. Account easy make 40-50 gold month from use laurel for T-6 mat to sell on TP. When there was sale on account some people buy many. I do not think worth money but some think it is.

-Nowhere I see them mention that it’s a wrapper.
-They write it with the sole purpose of the customer buying the product and wait forever for the client to come out of “beta”.

What bugs me the most is buying a broken product with the false pretext that it will be a complete product one day. 3 YEARS OMFG!

I really don’t want to be forced to quit this game ONCE AGAIN! Especially after i just bought the freaking expansion. This is a complete lack of respect to the customer

Yes old but Anet need to change this page and HoT sale page for Mac and say it may not work or crash often. No news on if it will ever work good. That is honest to new customer. We already get burn by Anet with Mac client. Maybe Anet should not burn new Mac customer and be honest.

Genuine advice:
If you use a Mac with OS X – don’t use the official Anet client. It’s a Cider wrapper developed by TransGaming and as we all know, it doesn’t work very well.

What I recommend:
Download PlayOnMac. It’s a lovely front-end for Wine, the wrapper that Cider is based on. Install Guild Wars 2 through it.

Once you’ve done this, go to the settings and switch to the latest staging version of Wine. Add the flag -dx9single.

Then, go to the Wine settings, go to the ‘Staging’ tab and enable CSMT.

This worked wonders for me – I can now play the game in a resizable windowed mode, full screen windowed mode and the low quality sound glitch is gone. I also genuinely get better framerates.

Thank for advice. But Anet should talk to Mac customer and hope to fix trash Mac beta client for 3 year. Not do this PlayOnMac thing you suggest or what people also say use bootcamp. Anet advertise HoT and say work on Mac and do not say maybe need to use other program. See attach image. Mac customer with better require report crash and other problem. My own Macbook that is better than minimum can not play on and many time can not even use TP or gem store for spin circle that do not end. But if I bootcamp problem not there and if bootcamp on my iMac no problem ever. But answer is not for use other program but for Anet to tell Mac customer honest if ever there will be fix and do not lie.

TBH I could care less about support from the GW2 reddit community, the only support I’m actually trying to get attention from are the people who publish game I purchased, wouldn’t that be a good start?

Caught me why I edit post. I agree Mac customer need attention from company they sell game to. I do not even use junk Mac beta anymore on my iMac. I use bootcamp because I give up on this Mac beta trash. I do some time use Mac client on my 2013 Macbook Pro that HoT sale page says work just to do daily login in and it crash some time if I try to do more but mostly when use it can not use TP or gem store. Just spin circle.

The HoT sale page still say Mac beta client work on many Mac. But it seem from what I read here and from try to play on my Macs that are in that requirement it does not. If you have Mac that does not meet requirement please say here. If you have Mac that does or is above please say here. Sale page mislead if you have Mac above minimum requirement or what they say on sale page work good and still broke broke for you.

With transgaming, licensing Cider out was their sole purpose, and even then not that many games use/d Cider to port games to OS X. Aspyr has something like 60% of the mac game market share, so most companies looking to port to OS X use them.

Maybe best to tell Anet will buy no more gems until fix and mean this and do not buy gem. They seem to show more attention with gem buying issue with Mac client.

I went to visit my friend who lives in Sweden during the summer (I am in the UK). He only has one PC, and while I was there I logged in and did my dailies, then he logged on to his account later in the day to do his dailies. I’m now worried either he or I will have our accounts of 3 years banned due to this.

I did not share my password with him, and he didnt share his with me, and I used the account protection system – but we did use the same IP for the 3 days I was there.

Please can you clarify your stance on this, as he is due to visit me soon and we will need to ensure he does not try and play at all while he is here if this is a bannable action now.

If you did not share account should not have problem. Even if friend do something against ToS on his account since do not share it will not show any relationship to you account ID. Only will show same IP and computer ID but account ID will be different and not related because do not share. What person in this thread has problem with is they share account with people who also cheat or person they share with share also account with person that cheat. So this leave a trail of account ID all show together related to someone that cheat. Hard to explain but hope it make some sense.

I think there might be a small point you’re missing:

Tyu did not share his account. People shared their accounts WITH HIM. This makes a huge difference.

There was a link to Tyu reddit post that disappear on this forum. But he admit he also share his account on his reddit post. Here is a quote. I will not link it because maybe Anet do not want it here and why it deleted but you can find on Reddit.

In the reddit thread Tyu talk about many people log in to each other account and it get confusing but he also said like quote that he let other log in to his. Seem like several people share account and it turn in to mess.

Look like from what I understand from that reddit post there are many people share account and some may be cheating. Again share account is against ToS and this good reason why. If you share account with other and some other person cheat then ask for big problem. Summary, cheat against rule and share account against rule. Do one or both and account may get banned.

There is no way to know what this person or person they share account with did. Only they and Anet security know. This problem between that person people that share account and Anet. But technically just share account is against ToS and Anet could ban for this if want to.

Best craft level guide I know of. It show you the cost and what to buy and how to do it. Have not done this in some time but think it is now you can get 7 level for 0-400 in each craft.

I know many do not like it but I gave up on bad Mac beta (for 3 year) client and do bootcamp windows and it work so much better. No crash much better FPS.

Scan computer for virus and key log. Contact support, link top of page and tell what happen. Change email for account when talk to support. Should probably change password for emails and other important account after virus scan to be safe.

No need to post these when you get it. Just report and delete. Most of these come from person who had account stolen and do not know their name used to send scam.

Fix that for you. Cheater hurt game and cost Anet money because they have to pay for employee to look for cheater pay for employee to program software to catch cheater and pay support for time talking to cheater when they send support ticket say they did not cheat.

Imagine if someone had 10 books. 8 were purchased, 2 were stolen. The police go in and take away all 10 books. It just doesn’t seem right imo

If someone cheat on 1 or 2 account might cheat in future on other account. Just a cheater get caught so lose all game privilege. I do not want a cheater to play GW2 at all because they damage game for all player and can not be trusted to not cheat more. If I go to gambling casino and cheat I would get permanent ban from casino. They would not say you can come back but can not play gambling game you cheat on but can play other game.

Full server mean just what it say. It is full. Sever population now base on how many people play WvW on server. Top server probably will stay full for very long time. There are many people like you friend want to go to full server and just have to wait for space just like you friend have to do.

Yes if Anet say name break rule like I say do not matter how long you have name. A name against rule is name against rule. You could write back to support and ask for review if you think unfair but Anet make rule and decide.

Fix a server crash. Do not think some thing Anet plan but have to fix soon as can. Just way it work some time. GW2 has less down time for update than most other game I play. When server crash not some thing Anet schedule but have to fix and it happen fast.

Add bathroom to game. My character travel many year and no place to use bathroom or take bath. He very dirty now and smell very bad.

Also of Anet do this core game player would complain so fast pay to win because have to have HoT for glider. Player with no glider in core game area would say disadvantage. Many thread on this would start 3 second after it happen.
