Anet have to much to fix in GW2/HoT before I ever would even think to buy a GW3. So I will not even make suggestion for GW3. Wait to see if they fix current game first.

I think this was big reason they do this. Core player/ free player see HoT player glide on map big advertisement all over core map for HoT.

It unlock the collection to do achievement call Priory’s History. It do not unlock the skin the skin are what you collect to do collection.

Can not upgrade to ultimate. Can only upgrade from standard to deluxe with gem. They say during pre-sale had to buy ultimate from start to get it and no upgrade later.

I consider GW1 the best MMO ever, read the novels, love GW2 and time by time I still login to GW1 to do some kind of reminscence.

GW2 has it’s flaws, just as GW1 had, and I bet that HoT also has some. There are still things that I want to see (more solo content – specially dungeons - , more skills to diversify different builds, etc) but so far the game is great!

What I would like to know, from a DEV point of view, is how successful is HoT and GW2 in general.

I don’t know what is currently the status of the game, and if it’s being profitable enough that justifies new content in the future.

Is it still going strong? What are the plans for the future? HoT is out, so what now?

If you do not have much time for play, want more solo content and dungeon, you maybe will not like HoT. It take a lot of time for some meta event, take a lot of time for mastery and elite specialization, not very friendly for solo, map fill with trash mob every where make explore map more annoy instead of fun because few place to stop and enjoy map, and dungeon reward got nerf into dirt with HoT (already you should know this because it affect core game where dungeon are). But encourage to read more from other people for you to decide. Just my opinion.

Free account can buy gem so I think it should work. Not 100% sure though.

Anet usually only allow name change for security or if name against rule. But since you name is because of bug they will fix for you.

You can not have two. If you do another guild hall then it change to that and upgrade transfer.

1) No, you can only won one at a time
2) Yes, to capture a different one go purchase the expedition for that hall and complete it. You will retain your old hall until you succeed the new expedition. All of your upgrades will then apply to your new hall and you will loose access to your old hall.

Agree best thing can do if hate HoT map like me is not play map. It do suck because content pay for but if Anet see people do not play their map maybe they make some change. The problem is deep within the technology behind the forum structure itself. Yes, we had a search engine in the beginning, but it was broken by our forum contractor in the course of working on other things. We no longer have a relationship with that contractor or his company, and someone else is not able to step into the system and fix the search engine because (1) our programmers are tasked with other essential work, (2) the forums run on a web framework with which most of our programmers are not familiar and (3) we’re investigating other options for forums and it would not be prudent to pour money into hiring someone to fix this as a short-term solution.

I like simple look of forum. I do not like forum crowded with avatar, title, post count and other information not important. For me forum is about information. I do not care how many post person have or what picture want to have by their name.

Also Anet say they can not do anything with this forum software now because company that make it Anet do not work with any more. Gaile said maybe some time in future they will use different forum software.

Friend has to make support ticket for help. Anet ban hack account because person steal account often cheat or sell gold. Anet will remove ban when real owner contact them. Support link is at top of this page.

tl;dr of that thread. Core game free for new player that buy HoT so do not have to pay two time to get full game. Core game now also free to play with many restriction. Veteran did have offer for free character slot for prepurchase HoT. You do not buy core game again you buy expansion and do not get another core game. If you do not think worth price for expansion do not buy it.

To be honest, I made mistake and prepurchase expansion day Anet announce it. Wish I did not because I do not like it. But you should read about expansion in post here and review and decide on you own.

^this. I hate when sigil and rune go in craft bag when I salvage.

Thing I do not like is when salvage it put them in my bag for craft material. I like that bag only for material like wood, cloth, and ore and stupid sigil get mix in with them. I wish Anet would make them not go in to bag for craft material.

I have had some refund on item from Anet support in past. They alway tell me to delete the item and then I get refund. Never one time had a problem with this. Do not think this is problem that need some fix.

Yes glide in core game area is huge advertisement for HoT. Core game player will see other player glide all over and will help influence them to buy HoT. I do not know but maybe HoT did not sell as much as Anet want so this why they now push glide in core map update so fast.

Yes, the Digital Deluxe makes the account a “normal” (not free) account. But, as the others said, you can’t gift him an account upgrade like that. What you could do is either send him the gold he’d need to upgrade to the Deluxe or buy a gem card for him (give him the code on the back so that he can redeem the gems himself).

I think this is incorrect. Only way to upgrade free account is with real money purchase. Digital deluxe upgrade in gem store only for upgrade paid core account to deluxe or paid HoT account to that deluxe version.

You can not gift account with in game store. Have to buy code from Anet web store or other authorize seller. Then can send code to them to upgrade.

Many player farm silver waste for loot to make gold. You can search for silver waste farm guide.

Was a suggestion forum but Anet close it because say hard for dev to find topic in area they work on.

That’s right, the Suggestions Forum was hard to parse. Having individual suggestions in the appropriate forum — a suggestion about Warrior balance in the Warrior forum, for instance — makes it easier to gather the input.

If you have ticket number then it exist. Still should review sticky thread about not get email to make sure you email is set to get email from Anet.

You thread was probably removed because you kept spam it with post and refuse to listen to advice give to you by other. Again if you submit a ticket have to wait for answer. If you submit a ticket and never get auto respond email review this thread and sticky about that.
