[TBE] The Burning Eden is looking for players on, or willing to relocate to, the Devona’s Rest server. We are an actively casual PvX guild that participates daily in all aspects of Guild Wars 2. While we have no age requirement, the average member is in his or her twenties. We do not discriminate against race, class, or level. All are welcome to share our hearth.

If you enjoy daily trips into the dungeons across Tyria then look no further. Our members are constantly looking for others to join them on their next adventure. For all you Fractal fans have no fear, we run plenty of that as well. Whether your interests are dungeon runs, exploration, public events, farming, or just general PvE you’ll be among friends with us.

For some, PvE just doesn’t cut it when it comes down to epic battles of siege warfare and enemy players. Nothing makes me happier in this game then roaming the borderlands with the guild and bringing death to the enemy servers. If sPvP is more your thing then don’t worry, we have members looking for other players to form teams for tournaments. The guilds leadership is well versed in all aspects of PvP, predating the original Guild Wars game. If this is where your interests lie then pledge your service and be welcomed among us.

We have very few rules in the guild aside from what common sense should warn you against doing. We do not require that you represent the guild unless your taking part in guild activities. Likewise, promotional consideration will go to the active members that regularly represent us and show a genuine interest in the guild. If you join and never talk or participate then don’t wonder why you’ve never made it past Gladium.

We still have plenty of room for players to grow within our ranks and your participation is always noticed. We use Ventrilo for all guild events and it is asked that you use it to at least hear given directions, talking is optional. Having the ability to talk rather than type cuts down on miscommunication and can be a life saver in PvP.

I’m the leader of The Burning Eden on Devona’s Rest. We’re a strong and quickly growing guild that is focused on PvX. Our two main activities are World vs World and Dungeons, focus seems to shift between the two given the number of people online. We are over 200 strong with an average of 30 online a night.

I’d be interested in discussing further what it is you’d like to find in a guild aside from just running dungeons, it’s the usual interest of players. We do use a VOIP service, Ventrilo, though talking is of course optional. It’s an important tool to have, which I pay out of pocket for guild use, so we can properly communicate and coordinate in dungeons, world vs world, and spvp.

We also have a website which can answer any questions about our guild, along with an active forum full of information and a calendar of events. NSP, there is a group of bots from your server in the water south of the west node killing krait. Its in DRBL. They have been reported and killed a couple of times. But I figured you guys would want to report them too, as they take up space you can’t use for real players.

So just to be one of the DR commanders not following suit with this thread, it’s been a pleasure playing against both DH and IoJ. Everyone wants to trash talk now and then but, at least in my experience out there, I have come across enough of you clever thinkers that will keep coming back to try something new, and I admire that. It’s a shame this thread has to be mostly bickering and of course some players from all servers will need to troll or cheat, but can’t we all just get along? Lol

While some of the other guilds are screaming to give up to help ensure we drop a tier I’ll be sad to see you go. My guild and our allied guilds will certainly miss the fun times provided fighting you both.

If i had the gold, i’d totally donate to you for a tag. This also illustrates the problem with the Commander tag completely and Anet needs to relook at that. Regardless, you see the problem and are willing to work to change the status quo. I don’t see that in others.

Dependence on zerging in DH needs to change.

Dependence on zerging in general needs to change. To many people looking for a free exp ride without the understanding of how we actually win the week. To many guilds ball up, kick in doors, cap, and then leave for a new BL without so much as starting an upgrade. 100% fail…

Our guild and alliance are growing. Come be a part of a small community of guilds that understands the true tactics and strategies behind winning World vs World. Our small teams achieve better results then the large roaming zergs.

Check out the WvW thread for DH/DR/IoJ for some snazzy screenshots of us holding our own against 3-4x our numbers. Our tower and camps were under constant siege for hours, yet in the end we showed them how some proper simple planning can shut down even the most aggressive of attacks.

These are a tad late but here’s a collection of screenshots taken by one of our members during a night long siege where we held off 3x-4x our numbers from both DH and IoJ, DH of course being more prominent since we were in their borderlands. You guys made us work real hard and we had a lot of fun that night, thanks for keeping it interesting all through the evening.

We’re always looking for players interested in joining our ranks. In particular, we are looking for more members that play mornings to early afternoons and play from late evenings until early in the morning. Being a fan of World vs World is always a plus!

We’re still looking for players interested in everything this game has to offer. Don’t fit that criteria? Do you like to only play PvE? WvW? I just like throwing random ideas at them in the hopes a few stick. My end goal is to get my asuran characters moa mounts. I don’t carry what the anti-mount people say, that would be comedy gold right there. After saddling up a charr of course.

I 100% agree we should be able to dye our underclothing and have some influence over weapon colors.

We have a normal one so how about a hot pink one? OR let us dye it perhaps?

We’re quickly nearing the 200 member mark. If your on the Devona’s Rest server or have no issues with transferring servers you should join up. We’re an overly active group of players for calling ourselves casual and we get it done. Our schedule is ever changing as we work to find the best median for all our activities. Everyone loves Asurans, their Tyria’s little punch lines. Going along with the fun and funny routes ANet loves to take here is my short and sweet proposal…

1: Hot Pink Moa mounts

2: The ability to saddle up the charr players in my guild

3: The ability for Norn players to use Asurans as a deadly projectile

I’m more curious as to your groups knowledge of siege weaponry, how to deploy/use it properly, and your overall coordination out there. We’ll gloss over the extremely noobish playing that zerg did, if they truly didn’t even use some rams or a golem, since they left themselves open to slaughter by siege defenses.

I’ve held Hills, with no upgrades, with 9 guild members against a force of 50 with several Alpha and Omega golems. We killed them before they even made it to the inner gates so I don’t believe they just stood there while you shot at them and no one died.

If a thief uses stealth for a downed finish, then players should be attack spamming the downed player. I’m a thief and use the knowledge of my own class, along with the superior striking power of my sword, to ensure whatever thieves may be standing there for a stealth finish wont be. Or they die, I don’t care either way.

Please learn the class before crying nerf, it’s ignorant.

Please please please keep this amazing addition to the game permanent!

You guys are crazy if you think S/P isn’t a viable build. I play strictly high level tPvP and I can assure you a well played S/P thief will destroy any other build on tournament play. Most thieves run d/p or d/d. S/P is a fantastic counter to that as the dazed,lockdowns and teleports will destroy most backstabbing thieves. After the haste nerf not so much unfortunately but saying that s/p isn’t viable is just noobish.

Don’t bother mate. These ignorant d/d and d/p thieves will continue to cry so long as their cookie cutter builds they google’d no longer work. +1 for effort though.

yeah the crystal prison is evadable but is probably the hardest part to dodge, fortunately we have the advantage of instant shadowsteps that allow us to escape them if we miss time it.

From what I’ve seen his little healing ink blobs are on a timer, not regulated by his health percentage. If I’m incorrect then I’m gonna try to run the whole dungeon tonight. =)

There’s really not much ‘outside the box’ when it comes to DPS; in PvE specifically.
Maybe Anet just wants us to main Shortbow or something.

I wouldn’t mind a damage increase on SB since I use it just as often as my main weapons.

S/P in WvW…wow, I hope I run into you out in the wild someday. I can always use another sparkly bag.

Although, I could see you catching some glass cannon builds or low skill players flat-footed and blowing them up. Against a high skill player patiently running a balanced build with D/D or D/P, you’d be pretty severely handicapped, though.

One day perhaps, it’ll be fun to teach another cookie cutter thief about thinking outside the box. =)

Yeah, we should all go “P/P.” and do less damage then Mesmer’s autoattack by spamming unload and only being able to hit one target.

Dodging will save you from the crystal prison? I’ve tried that to no success but steal and shadow step will. Been awhile since I’ve been interested this much in a forum topic, thanks for that.

That’s my thinking as well. So your telling me I can’t jump in and out of stealth so people can’t see me while I kill them? This class sucks…lol

Kidding of course, my thief was completely unaffected by this update thanks to my out of the box thinking.
